Lost Promise

Episode 06

You really take me as a horse?

They look serious.

Run.

Go.

Back to business.

You coward.

Why're you running away?

Go back to help them.

What? Seriously?

You want to help people?

Are the pigs flying?

It's really hard to be a good person.

No.

He wants to kill him.

Get out of my way.

Or you'll die.

Hey,

you're arrogant

as a kid.

You're a dead ringer

for your father.

As the idiom goes,

he that comes of a hen must scrape.

Mister Jing.

It doesn't seem like an idiom.

Don't you insult my father.

You spilled my Rouge Dew.

Damn you.

Why's she not back?

It's getting cold.

Wait inside.

According to Languid Guest,

they should've been here by sunset.

Now it's night,

they're not back yet.

I'm really worried.

Mister Mei and Mister Gong went with them.

They'll be fine.

Just calm down.

You're back at last.

Mister Mei, Mister Gong.

It must be cold

to travel at night.

I'll make you some ginger tea.

Thank you.

Jiang, you're so lucky

to have such a virtuous wife.

And another unique concubine.

You're back.

But where's Jing and Baili Cichu?

Tell me.

Jiang.

I'm so sorry.

We lost her

and Baili Cichu.

We're at your disposal.

I swear

Gong and I almost dug the ground

to find them.

But we didn't find anything

except the bodies of the guys in black.

I...

Gong and I are suspecting

if Baili Cichu kidnaped her.

Jiang.

Yingxue and I

are going to summon our men.

I'm sure we'll bring her and Baili Cichu back.

I'll never let her be in risk.

No need to blame yourselves.

It wasn't your fault.

I should've expected that.

How stupid was I

to deal with such a demon?

Did I hear someone

speaking ill of me behind my back?

Kiddo.

I brought you the person you want.

I kept my word.

Sis-in-law,

you're alright?

This little kid

could hurt me?

He got his luck from ancestors

for being caught by me.

Luck from ancestors?

Are you sure?

Look at him now,

I couldn't recognize him if you didn't

tell me he was Baili Cichu.

I did be hard on him.

But he shouldn't have spilled my Rouge Dew.

He was lucky since I spared his life.

That was because I stopped you.

Won't it give you a slash of conscience?

Sister.

Where have you been?

We searched for you so long.

We were ambushed on that way,

so we chose another one

and had some liquor.

Jiang.

How do deal

with Baili Cichu?

Those guys in black

couldn't take him away.

I don't think

they'll give up.

Why don't we keep him

in the dungeon of the back yard?

The dungeon?

So?

Begin to admire me secretly

because of my incredible intelligence?

Why do you know

the dungeon's exact location?

If Boye Jingxing didn't escape,

Gong and I still couldn't

get a chance to know it

even we came here many times.

No one

knows that dungeon

better than me?

Why're you familiar with it?

I was kidding.

Just kidding.

Come on.

How could I be familiar with it?

I...

I...

Sister.

Wake up.

Stop acting.

A bowl of Rogue Dew.

It was so close today.

Your two little bros aren't so stupid.

I didn't expect

our renowned Boye Jingxing

were forced to run away.

I should

keep a distance from them.

I almost made a big mistake.

Today,

you had a chance to leave.

Why

did you stay?

Didn't you leave Rogue Pellet

to me and come back alone

out of trust?

To think

you're a person of your word.

Don't think wildly.

I didn't do it to keep my word.

I just wanted to

kick that kid's ass

for spilling my Rogue Dew.

Give me more.

No.

Just give me more.

You really want it?

Go to dream.

Give me more.

No.

There's no more.

Come on. Give me more.

What're you doing?

Give me more.

No.

Hurry up.

You...

Hurry.

Knock it off.

Stop.

Give me it.

Stop it.

- Give me it. - No.

I don't have it.

Give me more.

Good-for-nothings!

They couldn't get such a simple thing done.

It wasn't as simple as we thought.

Master.

What we shall do now

is try to keep Baili Cichu silent.

Shall we send men to Amberverde Mansion?

Give him no chance to speak.

What takes Master Baili

so long?

He used to be

the most active one on this matter.

I'm so sorry

to keep you waiting.

Gong.

Baili Tianxiong's really calm.

Bring

Dragon Seal here.

I

invited you here

for the extermination of Jinglebreeze Chateau.

The murderer

was ruthless.

All the people of Jinglebreeze Chateau

were killed.

With help of people from Jianghu,

such as Mei and Gong,

I solved the case

and caught the murderer

in a couple of days.

I invited you here

to seek justice

for the dead.

Jinglebreeze Chateau

never got involved in Jianghu troubles.

To think they were murdered.

In my opinion,

even chopping

the murderer

won't appease us.

I'd like to

know who's

this murderer.

Master Baili.

What do you think about it?

There're rules in Wulin.

I don't have

to say anything.

I couldn't agree more.

Now,

let Mister Mei and Mister Gong

bring the murderer here.

Jing, it's dangerous.

Come down.

Senior.

Move!

Dad.

As you can see,

the murderer of that case

is Baili Cichu.

Where's the proof?

Master Jiang,

do you have anything

to prove

it was my son who did that?

His appearance

is the proof.

In that way,

you're accusing my son

without any solid proofs?

This's a grave crime.

You want to

send my son to the grave, too?

The murderer of this case

was meticulous.

All proofs

were destroyed one by one

until we released a message

that we'd found a witness.

Then

Mister Baili showed up

right at the place

where the witness was kept.

And he tried to kill the witness.

Look,

Master Baili,

aren't those things enough to

prove you son

is the murderer?

Since

you said

my son tried to kill the witness.

Could you tell me

where's that witness now?

Why don't you bring him here to see if my son did it?

Why're you speechless now?

It's for me?

I made the clothes

for you when you left.

See if it fits you.

Nice.

You're a thoughtful wife.

Jiang Qingliu is a lucky kid.

It's nice.

But it's sissy.

I like the clothes Jiang Qingliu wears.

Make one for me too

when you make clothes for him.

About this one...

Why don't you take it back?

I just wanted to

thank you for risking for me.

You must've been through many things.

I didn't know what else to do,

so I made it for you.

It was nothing.

But Chuan Huadie is so thin.

It'll feel more comfortable

to ride him

when he gets fatter.

Well, I mean

who said you couldn't do something for me?

I drank the ginger tea

you gave me yesterday.

It warmed me up.

Take it as your gift.

Why did you know it was sent by me?

Who else in the mansion

would do that?

Could it be the vixen of Jiang Yintian?

You should stop.

You'd be in trouble if granny heard it.

All right.

I know.

This family

is full of rules.

You can't say this, you can't do that.

I'm almost bored to death.

No wonder Jiang Qingliu

is such a dumb kid.

And you're

just like a punchbag.

I wouldn't have stayed at this shithole

if I had a choice.

I'm his wife

since I married him.

Maybe granny's right.

I won't be so lonely

when he's not around

if we have a kid.

Look after the kid when you have a kid,

look after the husband when you don't have a kid.

When will this kind of life end?

You never thought for yourself?

Myself?

It's a big world.

You never thought of seeing it?

It may be big,

but I don't know where I can go

except this place.

I literally envy you sometimes.

You're so smart

and you can help him to solve cases.

No wonder

he likes you so much.

He likes me?

You can't be serious.

Jiang Qingliu and you

are a perfect couple.

You're both blind to arguments.

Anyway,

since you want to have a baby with him,

you can't just sit here and do nothing.

Still have

the medicine Shuigui Jiao

gave you?

I didn't use it.

Qingliu has been busy on

the issue of Jinglebreeze Chateau.

I didn't have a chance.

Ever see

a peaceful Jianghu?

Create a chance if you don't have one.

To be honest, people.

I didn't have a witness.

It was just a trap.

But,

I'm sure Mister Baili has something to do with it.

Or how would he

appear in the place of the witness?

My son's suspicious

since he went there.

But Master Jiang,

it might also be a coincidence.

Master Jiang,

isn't it too rash

to declare him guilty?

I saw him trying to

kill the fake witness myself.

I was there, too.

Misters.

We all know

you two

are pretty

close to Master Jiang.

How could your testimony

be true?

You...

Besides,

you just said

it was a fake witness.

How can you say it's a solid proof

since it's a fake witness?

You're telling

the same story,

I have to doubt

that you're trying

to kill my son.

Now I see.

I told you

to give us

Boye Jingxing

with the other Masters

several days before.

You feel offended,

so you're doing this?

You... nonsense.

Master Baili.

I can assure you

and the other Masters

that I'll never take it personally.

Master Jiang.

Why should I trust you?

Sevenstars needs an explanation

for this issue

if you don't have a solid proof.

Will it work?

Just do it when the time's right.

You must be steady, accurate and firm.

Don't be afraid.

How's it going?

The upright fish of Jianghu

met the cunning

and experienced fox.

Things will be ugly.

Why do you

seem so familiar?

He just has an average face.

It's normal he seems so.

How could my pretty face

be an average one?

Come on.

Get me out of here.

I did see him somewhere.

Who said there wasn't a proof?

Who's this?

Jing.

Can't you see

Master and the others

are judging the case in public?

You're a girl,

why're you here?

Since it's a public judging,

everyone in Jianghu can hear it.

Why couldn't I?

What's more,

maybe I have

the thing Master Baili wants.

Fine.

Show me the proof.

Master Baili, calm down.

I did come here

to help you.

I have a gift for you.

Bring it here.

You...

You use a body as a gift.

You're insulting me deliberately?

I'm sure

Mister Baili's familiar

with the guy in black.

Here's the thing.

On the way we sent

your son here yesterday,

we were ambushed by the guys in black.

This one

brough Mister Baili away.

To think

Mister Baili

gave up the chance of escaping

and killed him by one strike.

Mister Baili was so righteous,

perhaps

he was wronged indeed.

That's right.

I killed this guy.

If I was the murderer,

why would I help them to kill him?

Sister.

Which side are you on exactly?

Mister Baili, since you admitted

it was you who killed him.

There's one thing I don't understand.

Why the prints on his neck

are just same like the one left on the pillar

when Master of

Jinglebreeze Chateau died?

My Lady.

Your Lotus Seed Soup is ready.

Eat before it gets cold.

I see.

You may leave.

I don't know why

I feel tired today.

I'll take a nap after I eat it.

Then,

have a good rest.

Surprised?

Though you take that Master's body,

you killed this guy

in haste.

There's a flaw

in every plan.

You!

You want to set me up.

You jeopardized my plan

at Westmount Taoist Temple.

Now

you want to use this body

to kill me.

Did you

just admit

that you wanted to kill

the witness in the temple?

Who the hell are you?

It doesn't matter who I am.

What matters is

your performing is over.

So much for the acting.

It's done.

Thank you for watching.

Some tips, please?

Get lost.

Happy?

Surprised?

This is a fake guy

in black.

Master Baili,

all's fair in a war.

A good conscience

is a soft pillow.

If your son was innocent,

would it be helpful even I brought

a true guy in black?

Since Baili Cichu

is the murderer,

why did he

kill that guy?

Because someone

wanted to kill him to keep the secret.

Keep the secret?

Why would he do that?

Well,

that's the question

I want to ask Mister Baili.

Why would they kill you?

I got news from Baili Tianxiong.

He said

it was done.

Dog doesn't eat dog.

To think Baili Tianxiong is so vicious.

But

Baili Cichu wasn't die from his needle,

but committed suicide.

Suicide?

Baili Tianxiong shot Drizzling Needle,

but Jiang Qingliu caught it.

We planned to attack the Jiangs.

It seems their Jiang Qingliu

is truly hard to deal with.

Baili Cichu

is Baili Tianxiong's son after all.

Will they

hate us because of that?

A big shot wont be caught up in trifles.

No sacrifice, no victory.

He'll figure it out later

that those sacrifices

are worthwhile.

The fight today

cost all my Qi.

I need a bowl of Rogue Dew to recover.

Wait.

Two bowls.

Kid,

are you kicking down the ladder?

Didn't you say

you used up all your Qi?

It was my last gasp.

Leave me alone.

Want to know the thing on your bed?

Drizzling Needle?

Why did you have it?

Someone wanted to kill Baili Cichu

during your interrogation.

Who?

All people

in the hall are suspects.

Even

the people outside

might do it, too.

We just didn't find it.

This needle

is exactly the same as the one

killed Nei Fuseng.

Those assassins wanted to kill him

when we brought

Baili Cichu back yesterday.

Then someone wanted to do it today.

It must be the intention

of the same one, or the same group.

The Western girl on the ceremony

used this kind of Hidden Weapon, too.

Baili Cichu chose suicide today,

instead of telling us the truth.

Well,

what's that secret?

Mansion of Lord Nangong

Wei Xiao of Yin-yang Clan Mansion of Lord Nangong

Mansion of Lord Nangong

told us that they planned to Mansion of Lord Nangong

Mansion of Lord Nangong

attack Amberverde Mansion soon.

But their Young Master is too strong,

they may need our help.

Amberverde Mansion's intention isn't clear yet,

Let sleeping dogs lie.

We needn't know

the issues of Jianghu.

Well,

we shouldn't know them.

Yes.

But Wei Xiao

always made trouble with the Jiangs

instead of doing the thing we told him.

Why?

I've no idea, either.

I've been there several times.

I saw a giant alchemy stove

in their yard.

It was lighting all the day.

I don't know their plan.

It's normal

for the Taoist

to make pellets.

Yes.

You're right, My Lord.

Don't look at me in that filthy way,

or your eyes may leave

your eye socket after the next second.

A man must have an intention

behind his gallantry.

You're willing to

treat me today.

It's fishy.

Why?

Am I that kind of a person in your eyes?

Yeah.

It's not something serious.

Do you know

a doctor in Jianghu named

Ku Lianzi?

Of course I know him.

Doctor of Ghostvalley.

It seems he retired a decade ago

and disappeared.

Find him.

What?

Find him?

Where should I find a guy

who disappeared over a decade ago?

I know his whereabouts.

I refuse anyway.

He's a master on poisons.

I'll die in a blink

when he moves his fingers or winks.

He's my old friend.

Just go.

Cut the craps.

But...

But I can't leave you

over 12 hours.

How about I introduce someone more suitable?

My senior, Lanshan Ke,

a master on lightness skill.

I'm sure he's your perfect choice.

He's still ill in bed.

You have the heart to

let him go so far like that?

Don't think about my feelings.

Just do it.

I'll go.

I'll go, all right?

Stoke my acupoints again?

You'll be safe

in 72 hours.

Meet me in 3 days

and I'll treat you.

If you can't find him...

... come back anyway.

I knew it.

You won't let me die, right?

I'm thinking

it'll be a good show

when you explode by then.

The life now

is boring me to death.

I, Chuan Huadie, am gorgeous,

but look at my pathetic life.

The price of being pretty.

She brought food to Jiang Qingilu?

We're all men,

why am I ill-fated?

If she hadn't mistaken it,

how could I degrade to this situation?

Well,

why don't I take this as her compensation?

Kiddo of Jiang,

give me some Rogue Dew.

So hot.

I'm so hot.

Wanchan.

It's late.

You want to tell me something?

Why don't you rest

since it's late?

The case of Jinglebreeze Chateau

was just solved.

I need to collect my thoughts

and write a detailed report

to the Yamen.

So they can close the case.

Qingliu.

You've been too tired lately.

Why don't you

rest earlier tonight?

Wanchan.

You must be tired

since you've followed me

these days.

Kiddo, I'm hungry.

Give me

some

Rogue

Dew.

Proceed.

Go ahead.

Just ignore me.

Look, do you really have to

drink it here?

It's my study, not your kitchen.

Look at you kids.

Why're you so shy in front of me?

Were you doing this just now?

You may do whatever you want.

I won't peek.

I won't peek, all right?

I shall go.

Just do your business.

Remember to rest earlier.

Little wife, don't leave.

Only a lightness skill master like me

can reach this shithole.

Let's go.

Master Baili.

Master.

It's Young Master.

I wanted to

leave quietly.

But I still

interrupted you.

This matter ended here

after all.

By all means,

I should send your son.

My family have only

one son for generations.

To think

he was such

a traitor.

He humiliated

my family.

I feel ashamed to see my ancestors.

Master Baili.

Don't you think

there's another reason for this?

Sorry,

I don't follow.

Excuse me.

Are you Mister Ku Lianzi?

Come closer.

My son died for this matter.

Do you still

have doubts?

Master Baili.

You don't want to know

who were those people in black?

And

why did they want to kill your son?

What exactly

was the secret your son tried to keep?

My son alone took the responsibility

for the extermination of this case.

He also

died for this.

I'm his father.

I just want to handle his funeral properly,

so he'll

rest in peace.

Master.

Young Master.

Trust me.

I'll hold proper funerals

for the people of Jinglebreeze Chateau, too.

And I will

take care of their families.

As for other things,

I really

couldn't handle them.

You just lost your son,

so you aren't able to attend to other things.

I shouldn't

have been inconsiderate.

Young Master.

I shall take my leave now.

Farewell.

Let's go.

Amberverde Mansion

Kiddo, I'm hungry.

Give me some

Rogue

Dew.

I can feel nothing.

What're you doing?

What a coincidence.

You're reading here, too?

I want to find some book to read.

Well,

which book do you want?

This one.

I've been looking for it so long.

Though

I am quite

a learned scholar,

one

should never

stop learning.

I think I should

continue

to learn.

Are you sure?

Are you querying

my determination to learn?

No.

I just suggest you

to take a look

at its title.
