[The Flame's Daughter]

[Episode 44]

Stay alert.

If it gets perilous, don't worry about me.

Don't say such nonsense!

Stop!

Young Master Lei!

Third Young Mistress gave orders to spare your life!

Right or wrong can't be determined in our past grudges.

From today onward, Top Blade City calls it even with Thunderclap Sect!

Neither vengeance nor friendship exist between us anymore!

- You are all to head back! - Yes!

Hey! Where's my wife?

Hey!

Thank you, Third Young Mistress.

I ask for your forgiveness.

Third Young Mistress, this--

Sister-in-law.

You don't have to do so.

The castellan had around 20 concubines.

I was the lowest in rank.

You don't have to address me as your sister-in-law.

But I owe you and your child the most.

It's lost its father before being born.

I'm afraid...

this is retribution.

No, the child is innocent.

I grew up by the sea.

My father and older brother were killed by the Japanese.

My mother and I fled all the way to Luoyang.

Third Young Mistress...

I long knew that the castellan colluded with the Japanese...

but I--

Let's forget about the sad past.

It's bad for the child.

Whether the child is a boy or a girl...

it will be our next castellan.

Third Young Mistress, this is...

I'll help you.

Anyone there?

Third Young Mistress.

Assign our men to guard these quarters around the clock.

Protect Madam Xiang and her child.

Yes!

Young Mistress, you should handle the general affairs first.

I'll go and get this all changed into a new set.

I'm tired. You can step out now.

Young Mistress--

Leave.

Yes.

Who knew that I'd be spending my wedding night here with you?

Why don't we spend the night together?

In your dreams.

What is this doing here?

Haven't you heard that it symbolizes blessings to have a child soon?

I see.

Lovely bride...

You look so beautiful in your wedding gown.

All you do is tease me.

I know that you're not truly fond of Zhan Feng.

That's why I'm happy about it.

But I still married him.

We held a wedding ceremony.

It doesn't matter.

I don't care.

Lie Xiang...

If I try to explain myself at such a time

you would want to rip my foul mouth apart right away.

If I don't explain myself, you would want to chop my head off.

I've let you down.

I deserve to be killed.

It's just that Dark River Palace now brings harm to the world.

I won't rest in peace if I die now.

My wife...

wait for me.

When Dark River Palace is annihilated, I'll be sure to bring the blade to you.

I'll kneel outside Top Blade City and you can hack at me however you wish.

Your husband, Jing Hong.

If we travel by water, it will take us only three days to reach Jiangnan.

You're really not going back to her?

If you leave her when she's most upset...

Even a small misunderstanding when left alone for so long

will go on unresolved.

But we've only killed Anye Luo's pawns.

The most perilous task has yet to come.

What matters the most now is to return to Thunderclap Sect

and reform our headquarters.

All right then.

When the time comes, someone will approach you.

Just show this seal to them.

Then you have to convince the other sects to assist in attacking Dark River Palace.

Why don't you give this task to your hall masters?

The hall masters of Flame Villa have been closely monitored by Anye Luo.

They can't work in secret.

You're the outsider, so that makes you the most suitable.

All right.

[Flame Villa]

Young Master!

You've come!

Jue.

You still hate me after so many years?

You're not her.

She died a long time ago!

She is her.

I saved her.

In order to prevent Anye Luo from finding her

I hid her for 10 years.

I only opened Blossoms House as a cover-up.

In fact, it was just so that she had a place to live.

You should leave.

After all, you're my sister.

I won't kill you.

Mother!

Mother, are you all right?

Mother.

Lei Jing Hong got away.

How will you answer to Supreme Master?

If Supreme Master wants to kill me...

don't try to stop him.

You should escape when there's a chance.

That woman who appeared in the woods...

She sabotaged your plan.

We can use her as an excuse--

Shut up!

That woman...

You're not to say a word about her.

Is that clear?

Yes, I understand.

Third Lady, Supreme Master asks for your presence.

Third Lady arrives!

Where is Lei Jing Hong's head?

Yin Xue...

Yin Xue saved him.

Nonsense!

The journey to Jiangnan takes a long time.

How can you not find any chance to kill him?

Luo...

Do you really think that I wouldn't dare to kill you?

Kill me.

Supreme Master, please spare her!

Third Lady didn't kill Lei Jing Hong because of an old friend!

- Shut up! - Say it!

You're not to tell him!

It's...

It's Anye Ming.

She's lying!

Who did you say it was?

Anye Ming.

Supreme Master, don't believe in her nonsense!

Do you know the consequences if you deceive me?

I wouldn't dare.

My mother sent our disciples to capture Lei Jing Hong.

She saw a woman in red in the woods.

My mother then panicked.

We had the upper hand, but she ran away in panic.

I...

I found it very weird, so I followed that woman.

Speak! Keep going!

I overheard Yin Xue call her...

Mrs. Zhan.

There are only two women known as Mrs. Zhan in Flame Villa.

There's Dao Lie Xiang...

and the deceased Anye Ming.

She's still alive...

She isn't dead...

Where is she?

Ping An Town.

Ping An Town...

That's right.

It was that place.

When Ming first ran away, she went to Ping An Town.

Zhan Feng!

Come with me to fetch your mother!

Yes.

Supreme Master! It's a trap!

It's a trap!

Third Lady!

Leave!

Ming doesn't like anything from Dark River Palace.

This won't do.

You should get changed as well.

Uncle, aren't you worried that it could be a trap?

A trap?

I'm not afraid it's a trap.

Once I see your mother, I'd know for sure.

Your mother has never met you.

Go and get changed into clean clothes.

Yes.

[Xue's Flatbread Stall]

Uncle, it seems that no one has been here.

Uncle, you mustn't believe in this too easily.

It could be a trap.

Apart from your mother, no one in the world can hurt me.

Zhan Feng, what are you doing?

Don't give your mother a fright.

Ming!

Ming! Ming!

Ming!

Search.

Search every inch of land between this place and Flame Villa.

There's also Luoyang. Search every place Yin Xue has been to.

What if we can't find her?

We'll attack Flame Villa.

Uncle, you mustn't!

Even you would dare to hold me back?

Dark River Palace just got a foothold in the Pugilist World

and cleared its reputation as a diabolic sect.

If you attack the former best pugilist sect

you're bound to be criticized.

So what if we're a diabolic sect?

I don't want your plans to be ruined so quickly.

If it wasn't for your mother, the Lie family wouldn't even exist now.

I have to settle the score with them eventually.

Are you displeased with me?

Yes.

Don't you wish to meet your mother?

I...

I don't want you to hurt Ru Ge.

Don't worry.

Even if I take down Flame Villa, that girl will still be yours.

All right, now.

Enough talking.

Get this done quickly.

Yes.

Hall Master Zhongli.

Make haste to Flame Villa and keep our gates shut. Protect Senior Ji.

- Yes. - Stay alert.

Nothing must go wrong.

Yes! I take my leave now.

Madam... Take care.

I will.

Are we going to run away?

Yes.

And we'll have to make it seem real.

He'll then stop doubting it and believe that you really are Anye Ming.

But wherever I flee to, Dark River Palace follows.

Doesn't that make me unlucky?

He wants to win people over.

We'll... expose his true colors.

Could you really have been a swindler in the past?

You're full of tricks.

My wife-to-be, I'll be honest.

I was.

- You're lying again. - Yes, I am.

Can you ever be serious?

I will when we get married.

I have to take action now.

Madam.

Be very careful.

Ladies, are you looking for me?

It's cold in the mountains.

Be sure to dress warm. I'll leave now.

Uncle, our disciples got there late.

When our disciples got there, Yin Xue was already gone.

Only the maids who passed out were left there.

Yin Xue...

[Blossoms House]

- Your Highness. - Where is she?

Please follow me.

Ru Ge.

Senior Yu.

I was just informed today that Lei Jing Hong killed Dao Wu Xia.

All pugilist sects now know

what Top Blade City and Dark River Palace plotted.

Senior Yu, praise me.

I'm very impressed.

What should we do now?

Let's sit and talk.

Lanterns!

Lanterns for sale!

This is...

What are these people here for?

I don't know.

- Look, there are so many of them. - Exactly.

[Blossoms House]

Is this Yin Xue's Blossoms House?

Yes.

Wipe those fences clean!

- Yes! - Don't break those.

Over there.

- Clean it up quickly. - Where's Yin Xue?

Gentlemen, we're not open for--

Where is Yin Xue?

Young Master Xue...

He's not here.

Where has he gone?

He...

He took--

Who did he take with him?

Who exactly did he take away with him?

Uncle.

Let me do the questioning.

Did Young Master Xue take my mother away?

You are--

I'm Zhan Feng.

Young Master Feng?

Yes.

Your mother...

Who is he?

He's my older relative.

He's very worried about my mother's safety.

I apologize for what he just did.

Young Master Xue and I are just trying to protect your mother...

but her family ends up hurting me.

I'm really sorry.

Your mother... has already left.

Where did she go?

Have you... forgotten your father's death anniversary?

His death anniversary?

Silly child.

Have you forgotten?

Zhan Feng, let's go!

Mother, please protect me.

Lend me a hand.

Don't be scared.

I'll be here.

[Zhan Fei Tian's memorial]

[Anye Ming's memorial]

Your parents' memorials are here.

Why do they only have memorials?

Lie Ming Jing was worried that Anye Luo would raid the tomb.

That was why your mother's corpse was taken away and left only her belongings.

Where... are their remains?

She was trapped in Dark River Palace for the first half of her life.

In comparison... this must be what she truly wanted.

Father and Mother...

I can't kneel to you today.

I'll return another day to kowtow to the both of you.

Mrs. Zhan.

My condolences.

I don't know when I'll return to the Central Plains again.

Young Master Xue, before the incense burns out

please allow me to do a sword dance before his tomb.

We're running out of time.

I'll be quick.

Mrs. Zhan, go ahead.

Ming...

Mother--

Sister Ming!

Are you done with your training?

Are you tired?

I'm not.

When can I marry you?

You're not a child anymore.

You shouldn't say such silly things.

You promised!

Did you forget all about it?

Don't you want to marry me?

Do you have someone else in mind?

Don't be silly.

Which level of Dark River Palace's inner force are you at?

The eighth.

When I get to the last level, no one can ever defeat me.

I'll leave it to you to restore Dark River Palace to glory.

Why won't you practice our inner force?

I don't like it.

All those killings in the Pugilist World are never what I wanted.

Ming.

Ming!

You've been hiding from me all this time.

How could you do such a thing?

You and I still have a score to settle.

Yin Xue, you actually practiced Dark River Palace's inner force again.

Ming!

Ming!

Ming!

- Let go of me! - I missed you.

- Let go of me! - Ming...

Where have you been all these years?

Let go of me! I'm Ru Ge!

I'm Anye Ming's daughter!

Are you really Ming's daughter?

Are you really Ming's daughter?

Are you here to punish me on behalf of your mother?

Ge'er...

Greetings, Supreme Master!

Get me a horse carriage.

Yes!

Luo...

Is she...

She is Ming's daughter.

Her daughter?

Who would have thought Lie Ming Jing had me fooled?

I finally found her.

What about Zhan Feng?

He must be Lie Ming Jing's son.

Yin Xue and Zhan Feng are still on the mountain.

They are both severely injured. Bring them back to Dark River Palace.

Yes!

You've always attended to Ru Ge.

I grew up with Young Mistress.

You'll continue attending to her, from now on.

Yes.

Young Master Xue, how have you been?

Are you here to kill me again?

Take the two of them back to Dark River Palace.

- Yes! - Yes!

You won't be able to move.

Where are they?

Some place where they should be.

It was my idea to assassinate you.

They have nothing to do with it.

Let them go, and then you can do whatever you want.

Whatever I want?

Yes.

Who do you think you are?

You only have the same face as hers.

Do you think you can haggle with me just because of that?

You're wrong.

Not only do I have the same face as hers

the same blood also flows in my veins.

If you hurt them...

I'll make the woman you loved vanish from this world.

None of her bloodline will be left.

You can't even move your finger now.

How can you die?

There are many ways to die.

I can starve myself, for instance.

You really do take after your mother.

She had also threatened me that same way.

I can turn you into a specimen after you die

and place you in a crystal coffin filled with flowers.

I'll get to admire you anytime.

I won't have to agree to any terms.

Isn't that perfect?

It is perfect.

You don't have to wait until I'm dead.

You can do it now.

If you don't want me to die...

you have to agree to my terms.

You seem to be very concerned about their lives.

Yes.

Don't you have any doubts?

Why I would know of your plans beforehand?

I knew that you'd attack me from behind.

I also knew that Zhan Feng would betray me.

I also knew that Yin Xue was left with only two-thirds of his powers

and that he's no match for me.

Your ambush became nothing more than a poorly drafted game.

Aren't you curious as to how I found out?

What exactly are you hinting at?

That someone has betrayed you.

That's impossible.

My poor child.

The one you trusted with all your heart has betrayed you.

Yet you still wish to save them?

Should I call you pitiful, or pathetic?

Aren't you the pitiful one?

You've never trusted anyone.

That's why you're lonely.

You even covet what you can't have.

No one is trustworthy in this world.

Humans are all selfish and cruel.

For the sake of our own happiness

we can harm anyone, however close to us they might be.

Don't you wish to know who betrayed you?

I don't.

It's because no one would.

Aren't you curious to find out?

Whether it's one of your pugilist friends...

one of your hall masters, or even a senior?

None of them would.

You're already wavering.

You're beginning to doubt them.

Think carefully about who the traitor could be.

Lay out the formation!

- Yes! - Yes!

A formation?

How did you think Dark River Palace survived among those righteous sects?

Once the Mystic Formation is laid out, the poisonous fog rises.

Whoever trespasses into our premises will die.

Greetings, Supreme Master.

This is a family member who has been separated from me for years.

Anye Ru Ge.

From now on, you are all to address her as Young Mistress.

Yes!

Madam ordered me to keep Flame Villa tightly shut

and take defensive security measures.

Also...

Young Master Ji must be well protected.

Your Highness, Anye Jue asks to see you.

- Send her in. - Yes.

Your Highness.

Xuan Huang, Huang Cong, step outside.

- Your Highness-- - Step out now!

- Yes. - Yes.

Close the door behind you.

I wonder how Supreme Master intends to test me this time.

Your Highness is to come with me to Dark River Palace alone.

What's the reason?

Lie Ru Ge failed in her assassination.

She's been taken to Dark River Palace.
