[The Flame's Daughter]

[Episode 42]

I'm running out of patience.

Set your mind at ease.

He'll be here.

I have a 100 questions for you.

100?

You're suddenly so interested in me?

Yes.

Who avoided me like the plague back at Blossoms House?

- Where were you born? - Yun Province.

Why did you practice under Misty Deity Lineage?

I had another mentor before that.

After half a year, he said that I was too gifted

so he told me to seek a mentor from Misty Deity Lineage.

I didn't have much choice.

So you're a martial arts prodigy?

Are there many disciples?

Why do you get to be the Chief?

Does your mentor dote on you a lot?

That's not all.

Men and women, old and young, everyone likes me.

Goodness, it's quite troublesome.

Is there anyone you're fond of?

My eldest junior.

Second junior...

Little junior and the youngest junior.

So many?

I'm just joking.

[Yulai Inn]

Madam, Head Housekeeper of Top Blade City, Yi Lang asks to see you.

You really guessed it right.

Let him in.

Madam.

I'll plant the explosives, you two keep watch out here.

Kill anyone who escapes.

Yes!

What happened?

Yeah...

There are many pugilists who are here for the convention.

- Who did this? - What are you doing?

Wu Xia, I--

What do you think you can do? Come with me.

No! I have to go in there!

Lie Ru Ge and Young Master Xue--

Come to your senses!

Come with me!

The fire will bring the building down.

No one can be saved.

How dare you try to sabotage my plans!

Do you still remember who you are, and who I am?

You'll lead the Pugilist Alliance soon, so why can't you spare them?

I don't know what you're talking about.

Wu Xia, you know what I'm talking about!

Yes!

It's precisely because I'll soon be the Head of the Pugilist Alliance

that I have to get rid of all those who oppose me.

Dao Lie Xiang, bear this in mind.

I'm your brother.

Your brother.

What happened?

What should I do?

My brother had his men set off explosives at the inn.

The inn?

Where Ru Ge and Young Master Xue were staying.

Did they manage to escape?

I was going to warn them.

But someone knocked me out on the way.

When I woke up, the fire had already spread.

There were pugilists everywhere, but no one dared to go in.

If they used explosives, it's unlikely that they survived.

The chances are slim.

[Auntie Huang's Noodle Stall]

You saw your mother?

Don't hurt her.

You can die now that you've seen her.

She isn't my mother!

Go.

Quickly.

It's those pugilists again.

You don't like pugilists?

I don't.

Ping An Town is right next to Top Blade City.

Pugilists come and go.

You must be here for some noodles?

I've closed the stall for the day.

I'll just have some soup then.

Sure.

I've been investigating past events.

I accidentally found out about Yi Lang's family.

Isn't he an orphan?

No.

He was abducted by human traffickers.

His mother is Ping An Town's Mrs. Huang.

Ping An Town?

Why doesn't he reunite with his mother?

Perhaps...

He doesn't wish to let go of his status as the godson of Flame Villa's Master.

Mrs. Huang has treated me kindly.

We'll let them see each other one last time.

Here's your soup!

Here.

You seem like a young master from a well-off family.

I'm just a pugilist.

Are you going to tomorrow's Pugilist Convention too?

I had a son.

But someone abducted him about 10 years ago.

I wonder if he's a pugilist like you now.

Here are some silver taels.

There's no need to pay.

You don't have to pay, take it.

My junior is indebted to your kindness.

This is her gift to you.

Chop off his head.

Burn his body.

Buy a nice box in Top Blade City tomorrow and put the head in it.

Remember.

Wrap it up in red silk.

Yes!

Convey my orders.

We'll rest here tonight.

We'll enter the city tomorrow morning.

Yes!

I'll be the Head of the Pugilist Alliance soon.

Aren't you happy for me?

I'm not a pugilist.

I don't understand such matters.

You don't?

Even if you don't understand, you should know it means a lot to me.

You're crying?

You colluded with the Japanese.

That was a false accusation.

You even killed Young Mistress and Young Master Xue...

You're upset over two dead people?

You better be careful, or I won't let you off.

Women should do what they are expected to do.

Bearing children is your duty.

Stop asking about matters of the Pugilist World.

- Castellan. - What is it?

The disciples who ambushed the inn last night are missing.

When did you notice that?

Last night.

Why didn't you inform me sooner?

We...

We thought they went to have drinks with women.

But today is an important day for you.

I find it strange that they still haven't shown up.

Convey my orders to seal off the gates.

No one is allowed to enter or leave.

Yes!

You're so beautiful today.

You're beautiful beyond description.

It's the second time I'm wearing a wedding gown.

It doesn't matter.

It's my first wedding.

I'll make up for your regrets.

Today, you don't have to bow to my brother if you aren't willing.

I don't want to put you in a difficult position.

My brother won't be too harsh on you in front of all the pugilists.

After all, he's going to become the Head of the Pugilist Alliance today.

But--

After we're done with the ceremony

we'll escape during the convention, okay?

Escape?

Yes.

Just the two of us.

But even Ru Ge and Young Master Xue couldn't escape from your brother.

Do you think we can?

We'll give it a try.

How would we know if we never try?

Lie Xiang, I--

All right now.

Don't get all sentimental.

Let's go, my groom.

Yes.

Congratulations, Third Young Mistress and Young Master.

Lei Jing Hong.

It's our wedding day.

Isn't it best to send that concubine of yours away?

I'll let you decide.

Xiao Yan.

Young Mistress.

Drive that woman named Phoenix out of Top Blade City.

Get it done quickly.

Don't let her spoil my mood.

But all the city gates are sealed today.

Why are the city gates sealed off?

Castellan said that there was a serious accident last night.

In order to prevent outsiders from sabotaging the convention

the city gates have been sealed off.

But--

It's all right.

The gates won't stay sealed forever.

We'll still have a chance.

Even if the gates are sealed, I won't let that woman remain in the manor.

Drive her out of here.

Yes.

All right now.

Don't be jealous.

Let's get going.

[Pugilist Convention] It's been a long time!

I've heard much about of you.

Nice to meet you.

The Castellan has arrived!

Castellan Dao is here.

It's Castellan Dao.

Castellan Dao is here.

Congratulations, Castellan Dao.

Castellan Dao, congratulations!

- Congratulations, Castellan Dao. - Castellan Dao, congratulations!

Castellan Dao, congratulations!

Castellan Dao, congratulations!

My fellow pugilists!

Please have a seat.

Castellan Dao, you're the host of the Pugilist Convention today.

If you don't sit, as guests, how can we sit down first?

- Exactly! - Yes!

Everyone has come from afar.

You're also my seniors.

Castellan Dao, please have a seat.

Let's not stand on ceremony.

- Yes. - Exactly, Castellan Dao.

I've just had a sip of tea, and I'm still thirsty.

You should sit quickly so that I can finish my tea.

I'm just a brute.

I can't handle the formalities, I'll sit down first.

Just take a seat.

Exactly, please don't stand on ceremony.

Before we received your invitation

I was quite worried about how and where

the Pugilist Convention would be held this year.

I was really worried that no one would host it.

- Exactly. - Indeed.

Fortunately, Castellan Dao stepped up to handle this mess for us.

I never said that I'd replace Flame Villa.

This is...

I won't consent to having someone other than you become our leader.

Exactly!

We can't have a young girl as our leader.

How would that work?

Exactly! How can she handle things?

She's not even qualified!

How can she be our leader?

Exactly!

I have to inform everyone of some unfortunate news.

Last night, Madam Lie was...

She passed away.

- What? - She passed away?

How did she pass away?

That explosion you heard was what caused her death.

What?

Who did that?

Who dared to kill Madam Lie in Top Blade City?

How outrageous!

All the pugilists are gathered here in Top Blade City.

How could they kill her right under our noses?

Exactly! How atrocious!

Indeed! That's outrageous!

How sad.

How sad it is for Flame Villa to suffer such a tragedy.

Do rest assured.

I'll definitely seek out the culprit for Madam Lie.

That's right! We must find the culprit!

We must find the culprit.

There was to be another joyous occasion today

but now, it seems that we should keep it simple.

There's a joyous occasion?

What joyous occasion?

Castellan, may I ask what the occasion is?

It's my sister's wedding.

A wedding?

Isn't she already married?

Didn't Miss Dao just get married to Zhan Feng some time ago?

My sister and Zhan Feng agreed to divorce.

They're divorced?

This is...

May I ask who the groom is?

It's the Young Master of Thunderclap Sect, Lei Jing Hong.

Lei Jing Hong?

Wasn't his sect annihilated?

- Exactly! - Didn't he kill Deputy Castellan?

Madam Lie said that Lei Jing Hong was framed.

I'm willing to believe Madam Lie and give Lei Jing Hong a chance.

Let bygones be bygones. I'll accept him as a brother-in-law.

Castellan Dao is so open-minded.

How broad-minded!

You were all present at my sister's first wedding.

I'd like everyone to witness this wedding too.

- Sure! - Sure!

Castellan Dao, please start the wedding ceremony then.

Sure.

Invite the newlyweds in!

Fellow pugilists!

Please have a seat!

- Sure! - Sure!

Thank you, Castellan Dao!

Young Master Feng is here.

Open the gates right away!

Young Master Feng?

Why have you sealed the gates during the Pugilist Convention?

Our Castellan gave orders to do so!

Open the gates!

But...

If you still won't open the gates, don't blame me for not showing you mercy.

Wu Xia.

Is the groom too happy?

He isn't even greeting his brother-in-law.

He's definitely thrilled to have his sweetheart in his arms!

Seriously, he is just so...

He can't even take a hint.

- How can he speak like that? - Exactly.

Castellan Dao, I'm just a brute.

Don't take it to heart!

It's my sister's wedding day.

I won't hold it against you.

Castellan Dao is so broad-minded!

You're marrying my sister.

What?

Do I have to be the one to greet you?

Brother-in-law.

Start the ceremony.

We're all pugilists.

There's no need for formalities, so keep it simple.

Yes.

Lei Jing Hong...

I'm finally going to marry you.

Lie Xiang...

Let's begin.

Yes.

- The ceremony is beginning-- - Castellan!

Castellan!

- Young Master Feng is here! - Who?

Zhan Feng!

What is he doing here?

Young Master Feng is here?

What's going on?

What is he doing here?

Exactly.

What is he going to do?

Since he's here, we shouldn't be petty.

Open the gates and come with me to welcome Young Master Feng.

Don't bother!

He... he brought his men with him.

He barged in with his men.

Young Master Feng.

Castellan Dao.

I wonder why you sealed the city gates.

There was an accident last night, so I had the gates sealed off

to take strict precautions.

I'm here on behalf of our Supreme Master to congratulate you.

What does he mean?

Supreme Master?

Dao Wu Xia... What does this mean?

Dao Wu Xia...

He congratulates you on becoming the Head of the Pugilist Alliance.

Young Master Feng, how humorous you are.

Since you're here, stay for the ceremony.

Congratulations.

May you also find someone you truly love someday.

Start the wedding ceremony.

Dear guests, it's the wedding of Top Blade City's Third Young Mistress

and Thunderclap Sect's Young Master, Lei Jing Hong.

As Castellan Dao has arranged it

the newlyweds need not conform to formalities.

They will be husband and wife right after the ceremony!

- Great! - Great!

Groom and bride, get ready for the wedding ceremony.

First bow! Bow to Heaven and Earth!

Second bow. Bow to your older brother.

Husband and wife bow to each other!

That concludes the ceremony!

Congratulations!

Congratulations, Castellan Dao!

Congratulations, Third Young Mistress!

Congratulations, Castellan Dao!

Congratulations, Third Young Mistress!

A match made in heaven! Congratulations!

- Congratulations! - Lie Xiang.

Grow old together. Congratulations.

Wu Xia...

Congratulations!

Congratulations!

Escort the newlyweds away.

Hold on!

What's wrong?

Since we're done with the joyous event, we should discuss a funeral.

- A funeral? - Zhan Feng!

What do you mean by that?

I wonder whose funeral you wish to discuss, Young Master Feng.

Your funeral, Dao Wu Xia.

On such a joyous occasion...

Lie Xiang! Don't go over there!

Don't hold me back!

- Lie Xiang! - Zhan Feng!

What do you want?

This is such a fine day.

Exactly.

Today, I'll rid you of your wretched life.

This is...

How arrogant!

They really started fighting.

This is--

How is this appropriate?

Lie Xiang!

- Lie Xiang! Don't go over there! - Don't hold me back.

- Don't go there! - Zhan Feng! What do you want?

Zhan Feng! What do you mean by this?

It's Supreme Master's order to have you killed!

Let go of me! Wu Xia!

Wu Xia!

Wu Xia!

Don't hold me back!

Zhan Feng...

You hate me for harming Lie Ru Ge

so you came in the name of the Supreme Master to kill me, didn't you?

You're wrong!

This is--

Isn't that Madam Lie?

- Exactly! - I thought she died?

She's not dead.

There are so many reasons to kill you.

Thunderbreak Manor is just one of them!

You...

Aren't you already...

All the lives taken in Thunderbreak Manor

and the attempt you made on my life yesterday.

I'll settle those scores with you today!

Lie Ru Ge, you're slandering me!

You faked your death.

You faked your death to frame me, Lie Ru Ge!

I have witnesses.

Bring him in!

I have thousands of disciples in Top Blade City.

It can't be difficult to bribe a few to be your witnesses, can it?

When we get to Ping An Town, I'll disclose all of your crimes.

Heroes!

This man committed many crimes!

It's hard to even list them all out.

I'll explain it all to you soon.

Wu Xia!

This is...

There's no need for any explanation.

This is to avenge Thunderclap Sect!

Wu Xia!

Wu Xia!

Wu Xia...

Are you all right?

Talk to me.

Lie Xiang...

Don't cry...

Don't...

No...

Lie Xiang, you...

You...

Wu Xia!

Wu Xia... Wu Xia...

No!

No...

Wu Xia...

Wu Xia!

Lie... Lie Xiang.

Get lost!

Lei Jing Hong...

You killed both of my brothers.

But...

They...

They deserved it.

But I'm your wife!

I married you.

But you killed both my brothers.

So many lives in our Thunderclap Sect were taken.

They were like my brothers too.

Why does it have to be so?

Why does it have to be so?

Lie Xiang...

Lie Xiang!

Lie Xiang...

Don't... Don't!

Don't do this, Lie Xiang.

Don't.

Don't!

Don't do this.

Don't!

Don't...

Don't do this, Lie Xiang!

Lie Xiang!

Lie Xiang... Lie Xiang!

Lie Xiang!

Lie Xiang...

Lie Xiang!

Fellow pugilists, this is Top Blade City.

It's best not to talk here.

Please come with me to Thunderbreak Manor in Ping An Town.

There are disciples waiting for us.

All right, let's go!

- Let's go. - Quickly.

This is...

Lei Jing Hong! We have your woman!

Do you still want her back?

Run!

Jing Hong!

We should all get going.

This is...

Leave the city quickly!

Hall Master Zhongli will meet you outside the city.

Leave this to us.

Yes, let's go!

Quickly! Go!

Hurry!

Yin Xue! We can leave now!

Lie Xiang, you're awake?

Lie Xiang...

Lie Xiang.

Lie Xiang!

Lie Xiang.

Don't act recklessly, Lie Xiang!

Let go of me!

Lie Xiang...

- Let go of me. - Lie Xiang.

It's over.

Yes.

We're done.

No!

I mean that all our past grudges are buried now.

From now on, you're my wife.

You're the wife of Thunderclap Sect's Young Master!

Forget Top Blade City.

That's impossible.

Are you still going back there?

I...

How could I be shameless enough to go back?

My husband killed my brother right after our wedding ceremony.

Castellan of Top Blade City...

Lei Jing Hong... tell me.

How can I be so shameless as to return home to see them?

Lie Xiang, come with me!

I'll be good to you all my life!

I'm begging you...

Come with me.

When did you start lying to me so you could kill my brother?

I...

I... I...

You knew I'd show up if you went to pay your respects at Thunderbreak Manor.

So you deliberately let yourself get abducted.

Even if you hadn't shown up, I would've stayed in Ping An Town.

You saw right through me.

You knew I'd be foolish enough to abduct you.

- Am I right? - No!

It was just a coincidence!

Lie Xiang, hear me out.

It isn't what you think!

- It isn't like that... - This marriage...

It was all a ruse.

No...

No...

You promised me that you'd stay and let go of all your grudges.

It was all a lie.

Lie Xiang, my love for you is real!

Phoenix was planted to win my sympathy!

No! She didn't know what I had in mind!

Unlock me now.

No...

Lie Xiang, if I do, you'll leave!

Unlock me now!

No! Lie Xiang, I won't let you leave!

Lie Xiang!

Do you really hate me that much?

Yes.

I hate you!

Lie Xiang...

Unlock me.

Lie Xiang...

Unlock me.

The greatest mistake of my life...

was getting to know you.
