[The Flame's Daughter]

[Episode 36]

E-Mei Sect has arrived!

Please accept this.

Yuxu Sect has arrived!

- Castellan Dao. - Hall Master Ling.

Mrs. Zhan.

Address me as Miss Dao.

Miss Dao.

Hall Master Ling, the Pugilist Convention will be held in Top Blade City this year.

Please do attend it then.

Please head in.

Set a beggar on horseback and he'll ride to the devil.

Be sure to inform Master Yi that you saw Yu Zi Han's bodyguard.

Yes!

Castellan of Top Blade City has arrived!

Castellan Dao!

It's been a long time.

It's been some time.

Bi'er... Are you sure that nothing will go wrong?

All of Azure Dragon Hall's disciples were deployed back to Flame Villa.

We have the nets and snares ready for Yi Lang.

It's you?

I'll staunch the bleeding first.

There's no need... to save me.

Madam ordered that I save you.

Ru Ge has returned?

Yes.

I've locked your acupuncture point.

I'll seal off heart meridian now.

It's dangerous here!

You have to take her away quickly.

Take her away from here!

I, Zhongli Wulei, can guarantee you that Madam won't be in any danger.

Should any mishap occur

hundreds of Azure Dragon Hall's disciples will die with her.

Master, Prince Jingyuan's bodyguard, Huang Cong, has arrived in Miaohe Town.

Is that so?

They must be coming here with ill intent.

I was elected by all the branch masters to be Master.

Today, even if it's Yu Zi Han who has returned

he can't hold me back.

Not to mention a mere imperial bodyguard.

You need not panic.

Yes!

Flame Villa's new Master!

Master Yi has arrived!

Master Yi is here.

Congratulations, Master Yi!

Congratulations, Master Yi.

Thank you, Castellan Dao.

The Chief of Hongfeng Sect is going into meditation.

He couldn't make it, so he prepared a humble gift

to congratulate Master Yi.

Master Yi, the Master of Red Water Sect is away on a trip.

He prepared a humble gift to congratulate Master Yi.

The Master of Jiangnan Water Sect congratulates Master Yi on--

That's enough!

Tell your masters and chiefs...

that I accept their congratulations.

Tell your masters and chiefs that you should show some basic respect.

Yes, Castellan Dao.

Master!

Dark River Palace sent someone to deliver their gift!

Dark River Palace?

What are they doing here?

I'll lead our disciples to meet them.

Hold on!

All visitors are our guests.

I don't care which pugilist shows up here today.

But not Dark River Palace!

Hall Master Ling.

Dark River Palace disappeared from the Pugilist World for years.

Now that they have returned without committing any crimes

let's not dredge up past grudges.

Since when do outsiders get to meddle in our affairs?

Castellan Dao, conduct yourself with respect.

Castellan Dao is right.

You--

This...

Master!

In the past, Dark River Palace was an diabolic sect.

Thunderclap Sect was a righteous sect.

But now?

Thunderclap Sect is rotten to the core.

Dark River Palace is doing good deeds everywhere.

Times have changed.

Hall Master Ling, you mustn't judge others by how they once were.

Have you forgotten

how many of our disciples were killed by Dark River Palace?

That battle ended with the defeat of Dark River Palace

and its withdrawal from the Pugilist World.

Is that not good enough?

Do you want to keep fighting them for 10, 20 or even a 100 years?

Master Yi is so sensible.

Go and invite those from Dark River Palace in.

- Yi Lang! - Hall Master Ling!

You should know your place.

Who allowed them to wait here?

Security Officer Huang.

Answer me.

Who allowed these people from Dark River Palace to wait here?

It was Master Yi.

Drive them away.

But Master Yi said...

I don't dare to do so.

Drive them away!

I'll answer to your Master.

This is...

Witches, you're all to leave now.

Tell your Supreme Master that

Flame Villa and Dark River Palace will always remain enemies!

Get lost right now!

Let's head inside.

Security Officer Huang has arrived!

Why is the officer here too?

- Security Officer Huang. - The imperial bodyguard.

Royal Jingyuan Manor's imperial guard, Huang Cong, greets the heroes.

Security Officer Huang, you should've sent a message first.

I'm acting upon imperial orders to see what's happening here

that has gathered so many pugilist heroes from afar.

This is the day I officially take over Flame Villa as Master.

They were sent from different sects to come congratulate me.

Get Security Officer Huang a seat, quickly.

Don't bother.

I can just stand.

Security Officer Huang.

If you find it beneath you to attend our pugilist event

I can have my men lead you elsewhere to get some rest.

I wonder why Head Housekeeper Yi is so eager to drive me away?

This is the Pugilist World.

It's not the Imperial Court.

If you wish to stay, you'll have to abide by our rules.

I wonder... how have I behaved offensively?

I'm the Master.

If I want you to sit down, you shouldn't be standing.

Yi Lang!

What makes you think that you're fit to be Master?

I've heard the people of Miaohe Town say that

while Madam Lie was away, you conspired to take her place.

I heard about that too.

Security Officer Huang, that's simply outrageous.

I was elected by everyone in Flame Villa, fair and square.

How is this a conspiracy?

Fair and square?

Do you have the Flame Seal?

The Flame Seal is gone, along with Madam Lie.

Bring it to me.

- Isn't that the Flame Seal? - It is!

It's the Flame Seal.

It's impossible.

It's impossible!

It disappeared.

- Who gave this to you? Speak! - It disappeared.

Young Mistress!

- What? It's Young Mistress! - You're alive!

Young Mistress is still alive!

Young Mistress isn't dead!

She's still alive.

The Flame Seal belonged to Master Lie.

Where do you think I got it from?

Lie Ru Ge, weren't you--

Head Housekeeper Yi.

Aren't you happy to see me alive?

I...

I congratulate Madam on surviving the disaster.

Do you admit to your crimes?

I wonder what crimes I have committed?

One, you murdered Master Lie.

Two, you framed me.

Third, you falsely accused Thunderclap Sect of crimes.

What? Thunderclap Sect?

Thunderclap Sect? They were falsely accused?

Thunderclap Sect? This is...

Madam...

You're Madam of Flame Villa.

If you want me dead, you can kill me right away.

But if you're going to make false accusations against me

I will never admit to them.

Do you have evidence... to prove me guilty of those three crimes?

I'll testify against him.

Young Master Feng!

Young Master Feng is here!

It really is Young Master Feng!

It really is him!

- What happened to him? - I'll testify against him.

Yi Lang!

I got it.

The lot of you...

You conspired to set me up!

Madam Lie, since this is Flame Villa's personal affair

I won't stay any longer.

Castellan Dao, you can't leave.

Madam Lie, here's a word of advice.

Some personal affairs are best discussed in private.

Otherwise, if it's known to all, you'll be a laughing stock.

Even if I must wreck our reputation

I have to handle this matter fair and square.

Not only will I punish my subordinate

I must also clear Thunderclap Sect's name.

Thunderclap Sect?

Therefore, everyone will have to remain present as witnesses.

Clear Thunderclap Sect's name?

Yes.

The Young Master of Thunderclap Sect has gone missing.

The whole sect is almost wiped out.

Madam Lie, is it worth making such a hassle over them?

Who said that Thunderclap Sect is wiped out?

Isn't that Young Master Lei Jing Hong?

He's actually here?

Even if I'm the last one left, Thunderclap Sect's name must be cleared!

We searched high and low but here you are.

Die!

Wu Xia, stop it!

Let go of me!

I'm going to kill him today to avenge my brother.

There are rules in the Pugilist World.

I don't care what you do outside Flame Villa

but in here, he's my guest.

You can't seek revenge here.

Fine!

I'll let him live a day longer.

Lei Jing Hong!

I don't believe that you can keep hiding here like a coward.

Don't you worry.

This isn't the only score to settle between us.

As long as Thunderclap Sect's name can be cleared today

we'll settle the score between us slowly.

You're still quite the man.

Head Housekeeper Yi.

Zhan Feng is already testifying against you.

What else do you have to say?

Fine.

You admit to it?

I do.

Do you know that you'll get a death penalty for what you did?

I do.

Guards! Arrest Yi Lang!

Hold it!

I have something else to say.

If it was an evildoer that I killed...

Would I still be sentenced to death?

An evildoer?

My father was the Head of the Pugilist Alliance.

He was a respected hero.

Do you intend to slander my father to get away with your crimes?

No...

He wasn't a hero.

I killed a despicable villain.

If you slander my father again, I'll break you!

I'm referring to your father!

Back then, your father wanted Flame Villa all to himself.

He killed his godbrother, Zhan Fei Tian!

I got rid of an evildoer for the Pugilist World, so how was I wrong?

Don't you dare make such unfounded accusations!

Ask him.

Zhan Fei Tian is Zhan Feng's father.

You can ask him to tell you!

I don't believe he'd go against his own conscience

and tell you it isn't true just to help you!

Not only Zhan Feng can prove it but so can every pugilist here today.

You can ask if they've heard this rumor!

They're just covering it up for Lie Ming Jing.

How is there a difference

between righteousness and evil in the Pugilist World?

Winner takes all!

The loser...

The loser is always in the wrong.

Your father was extremely skilled in martial arts.

He could easily distort the truth and keep everyone quiet.

How pitiful...

Anye Luo wanted to avenge his sister but he was framed by your father.

Dark River Palace is the righteous one.

Your father was the evildoer!

That's impossible.

How can this be true?

Shut up.

That's impossible. He's making it up.

He's slandering Master Lie.

That's definitely impossible.

How could Master Lie be evil?

That's impossible.

That's definitely impossible.

He's talking nonsense.

Exactly. He's slandering Master Lie.

You got it wrong!

Who is this?

Who is this person?

I don't know.

Who are you?

Zhan Fei Tian wasn't killed by Lie Ming Jing.

He was forced by Anye Luo to take his own life

so as to save thousands of lives.

Anye Ming chose to kill herself after losing her husband.

You're not from Flame Villa.

How could you know the details?

Because I was the one who fended off Dark River Palace for Lie Ming Jing.

I'm the witness.

The Misty Deity Lineage!

It's real!

Exactly! It really is Misty Deity Lineage!

You-- Who exactly are you?

As a disciple of the Misty Deity Lineage

we practice to attain immortality and ask not about the mundane world.

Unless the world descends into chaos and the living are in suffering

we'd never interfere with any conflicts in the Pugilist World.

Is everyone aware of this?

Yes, we know it well.

Elder, many of the sects here are indebted to Misty Deity Lineage.

We'd never doubt you.

That's good.

Madam Lie.

Now that everything is made clear, it's time you see the guests out

and put Flame Villa in order.

I believe that by now, you should all understand.

Today, as Madam of Flame Villa, I announce to all pugilists

that it was Yi Lang who killed Master Lie.

It had nothing to do with Thunderclap Sect!

It was Yi Lang?

The truth is finally revealed!

The truth is finally revealed!

It was actually Yi Lang!

What an ambitious and ungrateful man!

Young Master Lei.

Yi Lang's wrongdoings caused Thunderclap Sect great casualties.

I'm willing to contribute money and human resources

to help you restore Thunderclap Sect.

Thank you, Madam.

I'll have to handle this in private.

Everyone, please leave.

Everyone, Madam Lie has spoken.

You should report what you saw and heard to your masters.

- Yes! - We certainly will!

Yes! Definitely.

Let's go.

Who could have known?

Castellan Dao!

What is it?

Castellan Dao...

Save me.

Head Housekeeper Yi, this is your personal affair.

I can't break the rules of the Pugilist World.

Shut the doors!

Madam...

I admit to all my crimes.

I have sinned...

I killed Master Lie.

I let Master Lie down...

I let Master Lie down...

You killed my father.

Do you think that I'll forgive you?

Get our men to watch them around the clock.

Once Lei Jing Hong leaves Flame Villa, kill him immediately.

Yes!

- Move it! - Go!

Get over there!

Who could have known...

You still won in the end.

Zhongli Wulei.

Would you like to know who killed Die Yi?

I did it.

Why did you kill her?

Do you want the truth or a lie?

She was just a maid.

How could she possibly hinder you?

I disliked her.

It was all because of you!

We were adopted by Master Lie at the same time.

I was his godson but he trusted you, not me!

He gave you his most faithful division, Azure Dragon Hall.

What did he give me?

20 years...

What did I get for serving him so faithfully for 20 years?

Not only did Master Lie trust you

but those around Young Mistress liked you.

Who do you think you are?

What's so good about you?

You're boring.

You're foolish.

You're also terrible in martial arts.

So... that's why you killed her?

Exactly!

I killed her.

You're right.

She was just a maid, so she didn't matter to me

but she meant the world to you!

I felt great to kill the woman you loved!

She was a loyal servant.

She didn't fear death at all.

But I said to her

"Would you like Zhongli Wulei to die with you?"

Guess what she said?

She went mad.

She told me off!

She said that if I dared to hurt you

she wouldn't let me off, even when she's a ghost!

Look at that.

She wasn't even afraid to die.

But she was scared that you'd be hurt.

Such a good woman.

But she died because of you.

You don't have to make me kill you.

I won't do it.

Madam will deal with you.

Zhongli Wulei!

Zhongli Wulei!

[Beloved wife, Die Yi's memorial tablet]

Zhongli Wulei!

Zhongli Wulei!

Zhongli Wulei!

Can you do me a small favor?

It's a really small favor.

Gather some information for Young Mistress.

Why are you so quiet?

Say something.

Will you do it?

Yes.

Madam!

Hall Master Ling.

Please get up quickly.

I have been so blind.

I actually trusted that scoundrel, Yi Lang!

Please punish me, Madam.

It's not entirely your fault.

Even my father trusted him.

Hall Master Ling, please get up.

Master Lie was kind and benevolent.

He was actually deceived by that scoundrel for over 20 years.

When I think about it, I feel bad for Master Lie!

He raised a brute!

He killed Master Lie.

Then there's Young Master Feng.

He trusted the wrong man and got himself into such a plight.

Madam.

Hall Master Zhongli.

Yi Lang is imprisoned in the dungeon and left at your disposal.

Brother Zhongli.

You've contributed greatly.

Azure Dragon Hall has lived up to Master Lie's trust.

Since Madam is now safe from harm

it's about time I retire with merit.

You're leaving?

Brother Zhongli, why are you following in Murong's footsteps?

Both he and his heart aged.

You're still young.

You can still achieve much.

How can you say that you're retiring with merit?

Madam, please consent to it.

Madam, ignore him!

Uncle Murong!

I've returned.

They said that you had retired from the Pugilist World.

That's because I didn't wish to associate myself with that despicable Yi Lang.

But I rushed back when I heard that he was elected as Master.

I wanted to stop him, but who knew

that you'd be one step ahead of me, little one!

Well done! You're indeed Lie Ming Jing's daughter!

You have the courage and the wits.

Murong, since you had discovered that Yi Lang was a hypocrite

why didn't you scold me back to my senses?

You wouldn't be convinced until you faced the grim reality.

If I hadn't let you go through it all, would you have come to your senses?

You don't say. I'm really like that.

That hypocrite, Yi Lang even dared to invite

Dark River Palace's representatives in front of all the pugilists!

I wanted to hack him to death!

You need not keep such a scoundrel on your mind.

Hall Master Zhongli, you saw me off then.

Now that I've returned, do you still want to leave?

Yes.

Every pugilist used to respect and look up to Flame Villa.

But now, we're no more than bandits to the common folks!

Hall Master Zhongli, won't you regret leaving now?

Three years, just three years.

In three years, I'll walk you down the mountain myself!

Madam.

Hall Masters.

I, Lie Ru Ge, won't let you down.

In three years, Flame Villa will be restored to its former glory.

We'll be the best pugilist sect again.

Great!

Among the five residential quarters

Maple Quarters has the least cheer.

Bamboo Quarters is the most serene.

Pine Quarters is the quietest.

There's also Pear Quarters, where you stayed.

No one lived there for years.

The liveliest is my Plum Quarters.

Who would have known...

that it would be even more cheerless than Maple Quarters now.

Life is short.

Either you pass away first or someone else does.

No one can keep anyone company till the very end.

Why are you so melancholic?

It just came to my mind.

This is a joyous day, we took Flame Villa back.

We really shouldn't be upset.

Exactly! Why are you both acting depressed?

Since I returned to the villa

I've had to pretend that I make light of life now.

Look at me. I'm miserable enough.

You shouldn't get melancholic.

Come, let's have a drink!

Mentor is avenged today, it's worth celebrating.

Come!

Be careful, Young Master!

Here, give this to me.

During that time

Young Master Ji and I supported each other.

- Exactly. - All right.

- Let's have a drink over there. - Sure.

Let's go.

This way, Young Master Ji.

I'll get someone to get a few pots of hot coal.

We can warm some wine.

Don't bother. You can wield the Flame Fist.

Do you still fear the cold?

It's so much fun to just sit out here in the open air.

You're right.

It's Young Master Feng.

Senior Feng?

Invite him in.

Don't invite him.

Madam means that Young Master Feng is injured and shouldn't drink.

What I mean is... that I don't want him in my quarters.

Who said that today is a joyous day for Flame Villa?

I didn't want to behave like this.

But when I remember that he's the accomplice, I--

He might not have taken part in it willingly.

If he had, he'd have taken his own life upon hearing the truth.

Give him seven days.

Allow him to explain the truth to you.

You can decide what to do with him afterwards.

There's no rush to decide in a day or two.

Why do you keep taking his side again and again?

I'm not taking his side.

It's your father.

Your father is putting in a good word for him in your mind.

You blamed Yi Lang for everything instead of exposing Zhan Feng.

Wasn't that for your father's sake too?

How did you get to know my father?

Why are you asking me about this?

It seems like you understand my father very well.

If you hadn't brought it up, I might've forgotten to tell you.

Your father and I were old acquaintances.

In terms of seniority

you should address me as Uncle.

I only gave you a light smack.

Is it that bad?

Massage it for me.

It hurts so much...

Mister Youqin, your mentor is dying!

Chief of Misty Deity Lineage?

Yes, he was elderly.

His voice sounded very old.

Yin Xue's mentor.

Why would he leave the mountain?

I find it quite a surprise too.

Forget it.

They were already forced to retire from the Pugilist World.

Apart from Yin Xue, who died, the others are all useless.

Supreme Master is right.

I'm looking for an opportunity to rescue Yi Lang.

Why would you rescue him?

He is Master Lie's godson, after all.

As long as he lives, we still have a chance to seize Flame Villa.

Flame Villa's reputation is now a wreck.

They are the laughing stock of the Pugilist Alliance.

What do we want it for?

When you become Head of the Pugilist Alliance

you'll get to decide whether they live or perish, right?

I owe it all to Supreme Master.

Castellan Dao.

Third Lady.

Castellan Dao, could we have a word in private?

Yes.

Third Lady.

Castellan Dao, could you do me a favor?

Please do tell.

Spare Lei Jing Hong.

What is it?

Is that very hard?

I have to avenge my brother.

Both of us have so much blood on our hands.

If someone sought revenge from us

not even tens of thousands of lifetimes would be enough for that.

I've never begged anyone.

That's all I have to say today.

I'll leave it to Castellan Dao to weigh the options.

Buddy, I'm leaving tomorrow.

Where are you going?

Jiangnan.

You mustn't!

You're safe here.

Who will protect you once you leave?

You don't have to protect me.

I--

If you see me as your buddy, don't let anyone know.

I don't want Ru Ge to worry.

We're pugilists.

Why fear death?

Am I to stay here for life?

Buddy.

Here's a toast to you.

Although you can't see it, I'll also drink this bottle up.

Buddy, until the next time we meet!

- Take care. - Take care.

Lei Jing Hong!

Lei Jing Hong, is this how a guest should behave?

Aren't you even going to bid your hostess farewell?

Just let me leave.

I'm not trying to keep you here.

If I were you, I'd want to leave too.

But it's already late and it's going to rain soon.

I'm worried that you might be in danger if you travel overnight.

It's all right.

That will keep me hidden, so it's safe.

I take my leave.

Young Mistress.

Security Officer Huang?

Young Master Lei, I must report back to the royal manor

so I can give you a ride.

Is Security Officer Huang escorting me from Flame Villa to Jiangnan?

Exactly.

Look at you.

It's fine if you don't worry about yourself.

What has Miss Phoenix got to gain from going through thick and thin with you?

Won't you consider her safety?

Young Mistress knows a woman's mind better.

Security Officer Huang is an imperial guard.

Therefore, local authorities will look out for her on the way.

I'm sure you won't encounter any danger, traveling with her.

All right. Words can't express my gratitude.

Madam Lie, until we meet again.

This way, please.
