[The Flame's Daughter]

[Episode 32]

What's the matter?

Why are you like this all of a sudden?

Are you crying for me?

You lied to me, didn't you?

Yes.

You said that you're my friend. But that isn't true, is it?

No, it isn't.

I was very fond of you, wasn't I?

I can't remember my past.

But I get upset whenever I look at you.

Tell me the truth.

In the past...

you were a heroine who hated evildoers.

You had just started making a living in the Pugilist World when you met me.

You hadn't made a name for yourself yet.

You defended the weak and upheld justice.

But you were down on your luck.

Since you ran into me.

Why was running into you bad luck?

I was an evildoer who took innumerable lives.

That day, I was being hunted by some righteous pugilists.

Their skills were beneath mine.

Just when I was about to kill them, you showed up.

You were a young pugilist who'd just ventured out into the Pugilist World.

You tried to play hero to protect them.

I can't defeat you.

You can do as you wish.

But please spare their lives.

All evildoers will be punished.

You'll suffer the retribution.

Retribution?

What happened then?

You couldn't defeat me.

You made a fuss and refused to admit defeat.

That's not possible.

Then I said to you...

"Aren't you a heroine? Cry baby."

"If you dare to kiss me right in front of them..."

"I'll spare them."

Did I kiss you?

Don't move.

Who do you think you are?

Don't I get to do as I wish?

Are you going back on your word?

All right, I'll stay still.

Do it.

Give me a kiss.

I'll let them all go.

You can kill me, but you can't insult me.

You said it.

I'll kill them all right away.

You won't do it, so I'll keep you alive.

- You-- - Don't be a sore loser.

What is it?

Aren't you a heroine?

Aren't you out to punish the evil?

You can't even do such a small thing?

You still--

How could that be?

It's true!

You really did kiss me.

I set them free too.

However...

It was the people you saved who ended up harming you.

But I can't blame them either.

After all, you committed the sin of killing first.

What happened next?

Did we manage to redeem ourselves?

If anyone is to atone for the sins, it should be me.

Not you.

Besides, the sin was redeemed when you were severely injured.

That's good.

Sir, someone delivered a whole cart of New Year supplies from Flame Villa

to be handed over to His Highness. Would you like us to carry it inside?

Your Highness, this is a New Year's gift from Flame Villa.

It's so heavy. It must be precious.

Yes.

A gift?

Open it and take a look.

Your Highness!

Quickly!

Your Highness, who did this to you?

Once I find them, I'll hack them to pieces!

This matter...

- Xuan Huang. - Yes.

Convey my orders.

Search for Ru Ge, whatever the cost.

Young Mistress?

Wasn't she killed in the fire?

No...

Unless I see her corpse, I won't believe that she's dead.

Yes.

His Highness has returned?

He just fell asleep.

Who sent His Highness back?

His Highness hasn't said a word about it.

Why?

Perhaps he has forgotten.

With His Highness's status

would he wish to talk about being tied up into a box?

How are we to investigate if His Highness refuses to tell us?

Stop asking about it.

If he wishes to tell us, he will.

All right.

Ge'er, would you like some help?

Help?

It's the last one.

Paste it on carefully.

It can't be too high or too low.

It can't be too far to the left or right.

It has to be right in the middle.

A bit higher.

A bit?

That's too much. Lower.

A bit to the left.

The left?

- A bit to the right. - The right?

A bit more to the right.

All right, that's about it.

You must be toying with me!

You still trust me so much.

Isn't it all because you're so good at fooling me?

That man seems to know us.

What is it?

Could I have some water, please?

I'm just passing by.

I've traveled very far, so I'm very thirsty.

Sure, give me a moment.

- Mentor. - I've sealed her memories.

But it won't hold for long.

Now that my powers are slowly draining away

she will remember everything soon.

If you can't bear to leave Young Mistress...

- We can take her to Misty Peak. - No.

Once she gets her memory back, she'll blame me.

Sir, have some water.

Thank you.

I'll take my leave.

Don't mention it.

Why does he seem a bit odd?

He has a young face, so why is all his hair white?

You pay too much attention to other people.

I'm just afraid that he could be an enemy of yours.

I'm worried about you!

Shall we keep writing?

Sure.

Ru Ge!

Auntie.

Here, I bought this for you.

And here are some ingredients.

Tell me if you need anything.

- I'll go and buy it for you. - Sure!

Auntie, how much was it?

The pattern on that pouch...

My wife just embroidered it.

What a coincidence!

When I went over to Sheshui Town

I saw a banner with the same pattern on it.

What was it called?

It's called...

It's called Flame Villa.

[Flame Villa]

Flame...

Auntie, is there anything newlyweds should look out for during New Year's?

So you two are newlyweds, huh?

Are we newlyweds?

Yes.

Silly girl.

You don't even know that you're a newlywed?

Are you joking?

Auntie, we just got married, but we haven't held a ceremony.

But our parents have passed away.

We don't have a parent to kowtow to.

That won't do!

Even without parents, you must still kowtow to Heaven and Earth.

How about this?

I'll prepare the ceremony for you.

You'll hold the wedding in a day or two!

Thank you, Auntie!

- Thank you, Auntie... - Don't mention it.

I just need to sew two red cloths and buy a few red candles.

Don't you already have a red coat?

Auntie, please take the money.

It's all right.

- You should. - Or we'll feel bad.

You have to take it.

All right.

Don't walk me out.

Don't worry.

I'll get everything ready in a day or two.

- Thank you. - Thank you, Auntie.

I already told you, don't keep thanking me.

- Yes. - All right, head back in.

- Head back in. - Take care.

Sure.

I'll prepare the vegetables.

Yin Xue!

Yin Xue!

- Ge'er... - Yin Xue, what's wrong?

Ge'er...

Why are you drenched in sweat?

What should I do?

Why is your hand so cold?

What should I do? Do you feel better?

Yin Xue...

- Yin Xue-- - Ge'er!

- Yin Xue, what is it? - Ge'er, don't leave.

I'm right here.

What should I do?

I'm cold.

Yin Xue... What should I do?

Yin Xue...

Mentor!

Sir, what should I do?

His hands are so cold!

Use your Flame Power.

Do you still remember how to access your inner force?

Young Mistress, I'm begging you!

You must remember it!

The Frost Curse in him was triggered when he saved you.

Only you can save him now!

I don't know what you're talking about!

What... what is Flame Power?

If you think hard enough, you'll definitely remember it.

You're trained in Flame Power.

If you don't save him, he'll die!

You must remember! Please!

I can't remember! I can't!

I can't remember!

Hurry up!

Yes... I'll try to remember it...

Remember it! Quickly!

Stop trying to remember it!

Stop it, Ge'er.

I remember it now...

I remember some things...

But it isn't as you told me.

It's different from what you told me!

Forget it all. Don't think about it again.

But he said that I can only save you if I remember everything.

I don't need you to save me.

Stop thinking about it.

I'm begging you.

Please stop trying to remember.

All right, I won't.

I won't.

Oh, the beauty I once met...

She is unforgettable.

Alas, if I can't see her every day

how I will miss her...

Yin Xue, I know that you wish to marry me.

So do I.

So do I...

You can remember the past...

when I'm dead.

No...

Don't remember it now.

No...

Yin Xue...

Yin Xue...

Ru Ge! Ru Ge!

- Auntie. - Why are you in such a rush?

You want to get married today?

But I haven't bought all the things you need yet.

Auntie, we must get married today.

My red coat is good enough.

What are you talking about?

Look! I only got you these. It won't be enough.

Auntie...

My husband won't make it till tomorrow.

Ru Ge, what's the matter with your husband?

Ru Ge...

Come here.

Ru Ge, I understand.

You know that he's ill, so you want to get married soon.

I advise you to get him a doctor first.

Auntie, please help us decorate our nuptial chamber.

This--

All right.

Aren't you worried...

there's something amiss, when I tell you not to remember your past?

No.

The red ribbons are tied!

A perfect match!

- Mentor! - Yin Xue!

- Mentor... - Would you like to get some rest?

I'm all right.

I'm fine.

I'll light the firecrackers!

Yes.

Tonight, I choose...

her.

[Xue's Flat Bread Stall] Here!

Come on over, everyone!

Xue's Flat Bread Stall is open for business!

Don't touch me.

That is...

Mrs. Huang, we're not--

Thank you, Mrs. Huang.

So you admit it?

To what?

That you're my wife.

I'm going to sleep now.

I'm the only one in the world who would treat you like this.

Xiao Feng!

Xiao Feng!

Sir?

You finally... remember everything.

Yes.

Don't you want to cry in my arms?

Why did you lie to me?

You...

Did you miss me?

You were that elder.

You were also the one who saved me and Senior Yu outside the camp, right?

Was my disguise good?

You shouldn't have lied to me.

You sealed my memories.

There's still so much that I have to do.

My father, Die Yi, Xiao Feng...

So many people died.

I didn't lie to you.

I shouldn't be here.

- Mentor! - Yin Xue!

Yin Xue!

It's time for the ceremony.

- Auntie. - Should I get a doctor?

It's fine. Please go.

Leave now!

Auntie, he's just worried.

Why don't you head home first?

All right, I'll head home then.

- Let me know if you need help. - Sure.

Yin Xue!

Why did he pass out all of a sudden?

Why?

Exactly. Why?

He drew Yu Zi Han's Frost Curse into himself.

He should've stayed frozen in ice for a 100 years to dispel it.

He was worried that you'd be in danger at Eastern Sea

so he broke his meditation too soon.

I drained a lifetime of powers to save Mentor's life.

But now, he's still...

He went to great lengths to make plans for you.

He was going to take you to Yu Zi Han.

But you had to go and rescue Xun Yi.

Because of you...

Mentor put up with the pain that was eating away at his bones.

So many people died...

I don't want to just hide.

Tell me. What should I do to save him?

Flame Power. Only you can save him with your inner force.

Quickly. Help me move him to the bed.

Mister Youqin, please guard the door for me.

Yes.

After you died...

I didn't dare to think about you.

Whenever I was awake...

I tried every means possible to not think about you.

Even if Mister Youqin didn't say it

I knew that you died because of me.

Fortunately, you're still alive.

You didn't die because of me.

Hearing that from you...

It's good enough for me.

You won't die.

I have Flame Power.

I can always prolong your life.

If the Frost Curse acts up again, I'll heal your pain.

I won't die.

Get some rest tonight.

I'll take you back to Luoyang early tomorrow morning.

I insisted on keeping you away from the Pugilist World, but to no avail.

Now that it has come to this...

I might as well dive into the mundane world with you.

We'll tackle all the grudges in one shot.

Get some sleep.

Yin Xue.

Once I avenge my family and friends

we'll retire from the Pugilist World.

Go to bed.

Mentor, how did it go?

Get ready for it, quickly.

What? But your condition--

Get ready to head back to Luoyang.

Yes.

Come again, sir.

Thunderclap Sect is really doomed.

Out of dozens of branches, only six survived.

No one knows if Lei Jing Hong is still alive or not.

Who's in charge of Flame Villa now?

Yi Lang.

What about Zhan Feng?

His whereabouts are unknown.

He might have gone to Dark River Palace.

How could he let my father down?

Ge'er.

Mentor, Madam Blossom will send someone to pick us up.

We'll leave with Blossoms House's delivery cart.

Didn't Blossoms House close down?

How is there still a delivery cart?

Blossoms House opens and closes according to Mentor.

As long as Mentor is alive, Blossoms House will remain.

It's just that...

We'll have to go disguised as wine delivery workers.

Young Mistress, you'll have to put up with it.

What is there to put up with?

We're just going in disguise for our own safety.

Do you have any news on the Eastern Sea area?

Prince Jingyuan has won battle after battle.

He'll wipe out the remaining Japanese

and return to the capital in no time.

Do you have any other news?

When I was at Mount Yi, I saw Senior Yu--

Ge'er, if there's no other news, he must've returned to the camp safely

so you don't have to be too worried.

How about Senior Ji?

So there isn't even one bit of good news.

Supreme Master, this isn't even a tenth of what was confiscated

at Thunderclap Sect's headquarters.

I'll have my subordinates deliver the rest.

Jiangnan is indeed wealthy.

The quality of these jade items is almost as good

as those in the palace.

Supreme Master, you've been to the palace in Luoyang?

I've said too much.

Don't bother delivering the rest here.

Keep it for yourself.

Supreme Master, that's...

You've worked very hard for Dark River Palace all these years.

You can keep it as a reward.

Thank you, Supreme Master.

We'll pin all the illegal taxation on Thunderclap Sect.

The first thing we'll do for our comeback

is good deeds that benefit all.

They won't have to hand over illegal taxes to Thunderclap Sect again.

Dark River Palace will also carry out kind deeds.

I want to win people over.

Supreme Master.

How wise.

Here you go.

- Thank you. - You're welcome.

Thank you!

Here, take it.

Thank you.

Thank you.

- Thank you. - Take it.

[Dark River Palace] Thank you.

Dark River Palace is out in the public now.

I'll go take a look.

Hold this.

Young lady.

Which way is it to Zhaoge Town?

Are you in a hurry to get there?

We're delivering some goods to Luoyang.

You must be tired from making deliveries.

Have some tea first.

Those from Dark River Palace are all so kind!

I came across so many of your tea stands on my way here.

Sir, it will warm you up.

Please let Supreme Master know

that our lives have gotten better since the illegal taxation ended.

- We owe it all to you. - Mentor.

Yes, sir. I'll let Supreme Master know.

Good.

Illegal taxes?

Young lady, don't you know about it?

So many people suffered because of the illegal taxes in the Pugilist World.

I've heard about it.

The Pugilist World was a mess under Flame Villa's management.

Too many towns were taxed illegally.

Sir, don't worry.

Dark River Palace has returned.

Those scoundrels wouldn't dare to do more evil.

You're right.

Thank you.

You're too kind, young lady.

Would they like some? I can bring it to them.

There's no need.

Young lady.

Zhaoge Town is within Flame Villa's jurisdiction.

You must be careful.

Why should I be wary of Flame Villa?

Isn't Flame Villa the largest and most influential sect?

That was in the past.

Now, the most chaotic places are on Flame Villa's turf.

Young lady, you should be careful.

Thunderclap Sect and Flame Villa are archenemies now.

All the places within their jurisdiction are a huge mess right now.

You don't seem to be a pugilist.

It's best to stay away from such troubles.

Thank you.

Let's go.

It's best to not go to Zhaoge Town.

We should go around it.

Why?

It's a bit of a mess in Zhaoge Town now.

It's best to not go through it.

Sure.

We've been waiting all day, but no one has come by!

Look! There seems to be wine on that cart!

We can have some!

Pull over.

Mentor, I'll take a look.

All right.

Warriors.

May I ask why you're blocking off this route?

Why?

He doesn't understand.

I planted this tree.

I paved this route.

If you wish to go through here, you have to pay a fee.

I don't really understand.

Have you heard of Flame Villa?

Don't get agitated.

Flame Villa? I've heard of it.

We're from Flame Villa!

Exactly.

Warriors, please accept this.

Sensible people live long.

Then, could you move that chunk of wood aside?

I have to hurry along.

- Sure! - Sure!

- Thank you. - Here.

Push!

Here, push!

You mustn't take any action or you'll expose your whereabouts.

Don't worry, I won't deal with them.

If my father knew...

that Flame Villa's reputation has fallen to such a state

he'd never be able to rest in peace.

In the past, Misty Deity Lineage was held in high respect.

Those were such glorious days.

But now, we're small in number, and live outside of the mundane world.

A single sect can't always remain in power in the Pugilist World.

Even the evil can overcome the righteous one day.

But it won't last forever.

Hall Master Murong, you're a veteran.

You're also my senior.

We're really in need of talent in Flame Villa right now.

But now, you're telling me that you're retiring?

I'm tired of the conflicts in the Pugilist World.

I've made up my mind to leave today.

All right.

Hall Master Murong, take care.

Take care!

This is what the Pugilist World is like.

Once the veterans leave, the new will take their place.

Yi Lang, don't worry. You still have me.

Your Uncle Ling will have your back.

Nothing will go wrong.

I wonder if you know anyone suitable to replace the two hall masters?

Well...

I'd have to think long and hard.

One is in charge of money, and the other, our intelligence network.

They are too important.

I'll look to you for advice, Hall Master Ling.

All right, I'll make a list of suitable candidates tonight.

But...

There's something I've been meaning to say for a long time.

Hall Master Ling, do tell.

Master Lie adopted four children.

Now, you're the only one left.

Flame Villa must not go without a master for long, Head Housekeeper Yi.

Do you not understand... or do you not want to be the Master?

I have to bring them home.

Master of Flame Villa... it's not my place to take.

You...

You must consider our disciples!

Don't be foolishly loyal!

Hall Master Murong!

I'm here to see you off.

All right.

I was always very fond of Die Yi.

It's such a pity.

I got to spend time with her, so there are no regrets.

I wonder where you're heading off to?

My wife and children all died at the hands of Dark River Palace.

I'm all alone now.

It's a great big world, and I can make anywhere my home.

Does it matter where I go?

As for you, isn't it time you leave this place?

I still can't let it go.

You're young, so it's still hard for you to let it all go.

All right, just see me off here.

Otherwise, Head Housekeeper Yi might start doubting you.

I'll walk down the mountain.

It will be my last time taking this old route.

I bid you farewell.

Do you remember... you only came to Luoyang back then

to win back a man's heart?

It's dumb, isn't it?

It's extremely foolish.

But if you weren't so foolish then

we would've never met.

When we were in the countryside, you told me that you were an evildoer.

- Were you-- - It was a lie.

Really?

Everyone likes the story of a beautiful lady running into a dashing man

or a heroine who falls in love with an evildoer.

I made it up, but you believed me?

Tell me.

What did I say that made your heart flutter?

Your hand is still so cold.

How are you holding up?

When we get to Blossoms House, I'll transfer my inner force to you.

Ru Ge...

Go away!

Young Master Feng!

Young Master Feng! Let's go home.

Get lost!

Ru Ge...

My little junior...

Take care.

Scented sachets.

Madam, take a look at these scented sachets.

[Blossom Wine] The wine is here?

Madam Blossom, this is the wine you asked for.

We've been waiting for two hours!

You have Blossom Wine this time?

It isn't just that.

We also have osmanthus, peach blossom, and white plum blossom liquors.

Look, our owner said that all the liquors are here. Not one less.

- Move all the wine inside. Quickly! - Yes.

Hurry and hang up the sign!

- Hurry up! - Yes!
