[The Flame's Daughter]

[Episode 31]

I can finally get some good sleep.

I haven't even lied down yet and you're already sleeping?

What's wrong?

Why are you so cold? Is it a relapse?

Don't... don't talk.

What should I do?

Is there a way to help you?

Oh, the beauty once I met...

she is unforgettable.

Alas, if I can't see her every day

how I will miss her insanely.

Like a male phoenix flying far and wide, oh...

seeking a female phoenix over the four seas.

Why are you reciting "Phoenix Looking for His Lover"?

I'm begging you to marry me.

I, Yin Xue... carry the weight of numerous killings.

I should have suffered punishment from the gods.

Now that I get to see you again...

I can die with no regrets.

Yin Xue?

Yin Xue!

Yin Xue!

Yin Xue... What should I do?

Your people are standing guard.

There are just a few. I'll handle them.

Don't be reckless.

- You'll head over there first. - Yes.

Follow me.

Third Young Mistress.

Step aside.

Deputy Castellan gave his orders. No one is allowed in here.

Have I been away from Top Blade City for so long that

you only know Deputy Castellan but not Third Young Mistress Dao?

I wouldn't dare.

But Young Mistress, please wait a moment.

Allow me to inform Deputy Castellan first.

Sure.

Let's go!

Get up.

Leave me. I can't fight. I'll only be a burden.

Enough of that nonsense! Let's go!

- Come on. - Lie Xiang!

Leave Lei Jing Hong behind!

Wu Hen.

So many of our disciples were killed by Thunderclap Sect.

It's not as if you're unaware of that.

Yet you're going to set him free?

Wu Hen, please spare his life.

If I spare his life today...

we'll find our own doom instead.

Tell me.

Do you think I'll let him go?

If we let him go, Anye Luo will kill us all!

Would you rather that he dies...

or your two brothers?

Wu Hen...

Don't make me choose.

I'd like to see how you can bear to hurt your subordinates and family.

Leave without me.

- I'll hold them back. - No!

Run!

Round them up!

- Yes! - Yes!

Lei Jing Hong.

Today, I'll see where you can run to!

Watch out!

Stop fighting!

Wu Hen!

We must avenge Deputy Castellan Dao!

Run!

Wu Hen...

Wu Hen!

Wu Hen...

Wu Hen...

Wake up!

Wu Hen...

Lie Xiang...

Why?

Why did you kill him?

Just now, if he wasn't so set on killing me, I...

You didn't have to kill him.

You could have just ran!

Lie Xiang, I...

I didn't mean to...

Lie Xiang, come with me.

Forget Top Blade City and come with me!

No...

I'm begging you.

Will you come with me?

I'm begging you!

No...

Wu Hen...

Lei Jing Hong, we can't stay here!

Get lost!

Since when did he ever treat you like a sister?

Did you forget that to gain power, he forced you to marry Zhan Feng?

However terrible they might be...

my two brothers alone raised me for 20 years.

They provided me with a life of luxury!

They protected me from any injustice.

But he also took the lives of hundreds of my disciples.

Even if I didn't kill him today

Top Blade City and I would definitely become irreconcilable enemies!

Let's leave now.

Right away.

Forget your surname.

Forget your name.

As long as you're with me, I'll look after you for the rest of my life!

Even if I escape with you to the ends of the earth...

my surname will always be Dao.

I'll always be part of the Dao family!

I'll always be Dao Jue Ba's daughter.

Lie Xiang...

We can't stay much longer. Leave now.

Xun Yi?

Is it really you, Xun Yi?

Young Master Ji. It's me.

Dao Wu Xia will get here soon.

We can't afford to linger. Leave now.

Leave now! Quickly!

Hurry up!

Quickly! Run!

Does it hurt?

Xun Yi.

How did you get here?

Did Yi Lang give you a hard time?

Don't worry.

I'll look after myself.

You're so clever.

I shouldn't worry too much.

I'll get you the best doctor to heal your eyes.

Don't bother.

There's no need.

My eyes...

They aren't injured.

They are gone.

No doctor can help me.

Young Mistress.

Young Mistress?

Who is she looking for?

Stay put.

I'll handle it.

Young Mistress, anyone who knows of this matter is dead.

Apart from the two of us, Third Lady, and you

no one will know of this matter.

What are you standing there for? Come and get rid of them for me.

The gold in here will last you three years.

Please look after Young Master Ji for me.

Miss Xun Yi, why would you risk your life to save us?

It's because you're Young Mistress's closest friends.

Is it that simple?

It is that simple.

All pugilists are hunting us down.

Even Third Young Mistress Dao had a hard time breaking through.

Why was it so easy for you to save us on your own with just a carriage?

It's because I'm Madam's confidant.

I'm the head of maids at Flame Villa.

You're lying.

Lie Ru Ge can't even fend for herself now.

Not to mention her maid.

You dodged the attacks of so many pugilists all on your own.

There's only one possibility.

You work for Yi Lang.

How could that be?

He's the only one who is in command now.

Only with his permission could you get away so easily.

I found it strange.

He wouldn't let me off.

He can only pin those crimes on me if I'm dead.

The longer I survive, the more possible it becomes to overthrow his accusations.

Therefore, while it seems like you've rescued us

you're actually luring me out here to get rid of me in secret, right?

Lei Jing Hong! What are you doing?

I'm asking your confidant why she was able to rescue us.

Don't you find it strange, Ji Jing Lei?

No, I am here to save you.

Yet your motive is still unconvincing.

It's because...

I'm your younger sister.

What did you say?

I'm your half-sister.

You mistook Die Yi as your sister.

Or should I say...

I misled you into thinking that Die Yi is your sister.

Young Master Lei, how did you know that none of them were your sister?

I'm looking for an orphan.

They have parents, so none fit the requirement.

I'm an orphan.

And I grew up in Linze.

Did a woman with the surname Zhang take you away

when you were about seven or eight years old?

It was a woman but I don't remember her surname.

Did you go to Ping An Town first before coming to Flame Villa?

Yes.

Was Wang the surname of the woman who picked you up?

Yes!

Do you remember the surname of your first foster parents?

Zhou.

How did you know?

I'm the head of all maids.

I should know of such things.

I'm your sister.

The daughter of Anye Jue and Lei Hen Tian.

Xun Yi!

What did you say?

Don't say such nonsense, Xun Yi!

I didn't.

I'm not the only one who wants to save you.

Your stepmother does too.

After all, she raised you for 20 or so years.

She doesn't want you dead.

Xun Yi!

Xun Yi!

Xun Yi...

Xun Yi?

Yi Lang is now in command at Flame Villa.

Once you show up and pose a threat to his position

he will kill you.

Jing Lei...

Take care of yourself.

Xun Yi...

Do you really work for Dark River Palace?

I'm sorry.

I've kept it from you all this time.

But whatever the case might be...

my love for you has always been true.

True?

It's true, Jing Lei.

It's true?

Did you know...

my eyes were dug out by Anye Jue?

You...

I'm sorry, Jing Lei! I'm sorry!

Get lost!

You were raised in Flame Villa.

Ru Ge thought of you as her own sister.

I've always been faithfully in love with you.

I've never betrayed you, so why would you...

Don't do this to yourself.

Don't...

Jing Lei--

Don't say my name!

Leave me.

Leave!

Go away!

Leave!

Wu Hen...

Wu Hen?

How did he die?

How did your brother die?

It was me...

What did Lei Jing Hong drug you with?

You don't even care about your second brother's life.

He's your closest kin, Dao Lie Xiang.

Does that mean nothing to you?

Wu Hen did treat you more sternly.

But he raised you for 20 years!

I was wrong...

I was wrong...

I am to be blamed...

Shut up!

Listen up!

No surrender is to be accepted.

Execute any disciple of Thunderclap Sect once found.

We'll...

bury them with Deputy Castellan!

Yes!

The two masters of Flame Villa were killed one after another.

The Pugilist World is shocked by the news.

Thunderclap Sect became the most diabolic sect.

All other pugilists had them hunted down four times

under the orders of the Head of the Pugilist Alliance.

Numerous disciples of Thunderclap Sect were slaughtered.

The whereabouts of their Young Master, Lei Jing Hong, remain unknown.

[Thunderclap Sect]

Did you send someone to rescue Lei Jing Hong?

Supreme Master, you've misunderstood.

I thought that it would stir up a conflict within Top Blade City

so I sent Xun Yi to abduct Lei Jing Hong.

Look at me when you speak.

I want you to look into my eyes and say that again!

Please forgive me!

Forgive you?

Do you wish to die in exchange for forgiveness?

I'm at your disposal, Supreme Master.

All I ask of you is not to punish Xun Yi.

She was just carrying out my orders.

You fell for Lei Hen Tian after all.

No!

I don't have any feelings for him.

Luo, I never did!

Why did you save Lei Jing Hong?

Kinship?

He was only three years old when you married into Thunderclap Sect.

A three-year-old who lost his mother.

He must be so attached to you.

Then you gave birth to Xun Yi.

You were forced to send her into Flame Villa as our informant.

So the love you'd have showered upon Xun Yi was given to Lei Jing Hong.

I never regarded him as my son.

Can kinship actually be fostered as time goes on?

My dear junior...

You actually kept a bond of kinship with a son who isn't related to you by blood?

If Mentor knew about this

he might have to crawl out of his grave to get you, Anye Jue.

Since you gave yourself to Lei Hen Tian in order to attain the explosives

I won't punish you for what you did.

I'll even give you a chance to kill Lei Jing Hong to redeem yourself.

If you still refuse to kill him, I'll kill Xun Yi.

Your own daughter.

This is my first visit to Thunderclap Sect's headquarters.

Thunderclap Sect has gone against us for so many years.

They eventually lost to us.

On our way here, the bodies of their disciples paved the way.

Not a single one was spared.

This is against the righteousness of the Pugilist World.

Dao Wu Hen was killed by Lei Jing Hong.

It wasn't unjust of us to do so.

Only one man needs to pay for what he did!

Why do we have to wipe out his entire sect?

Dao Wu Xia is a benevolent man.

It's indeed inappropriate of him to be doing this.

From what I know...

Dao Wu Xia is a crook through and through.

The fact that he's such a crook makes it easy for us to manipulate him.

I don't care how many people from Thunderclap Sect died.

We can't rest until we find Lei Jing Hong.

If we don't avenge our masters, Flame Villa will lose its prestige.

Convey my orders.

Whoever captures Lei Jing Hong...

will be rewarded with 1,000 gold taels.

Yes!

Come and have dinner.

Lei Jing Hong.

If you behave as if you're more dead than alive

I'll chuck you out for 1,000 gold taels.

If I'm really worth that much, go ahead.

That scoundrel Yi Lang might not give you the money even when he has my head.

I must have been blind then, to have chosen you.

You are.

I'm a jerk.

Are you going to let all your dead disciples down?

I have to let them down.

Do you still have any ambition?

None.

You're so shameless!

Yes!

You made me so angry that I'm lost for words!

Phoenix, do you regret it?

I do!

But it's too late to regret it now.

Look.

Young Master Ji has more ambition than you do.

Who is it?

Sir, I'd like to buy an unripe plum for my younger sister.

This isn't a snack store.

Hold on.

Sir, are you joking?

Who would buy unripe plums?

I simply wish to buy unripe plums.

What are you saying?

This is a secret code of Flame Villa's Azure Dragon Hall.

Is Yi Lang here?

No.

Only those of Azure Dragon Hall know of this secret code.

My mentor only told Ru Ge about it.

How do you know, then?

My mentor assigned me a maid.

She's the Third Hall Master of Azure Dragon Hall.

She told me the code.

But Yi Lang controls Flame Villa now. Azure Dragon Hall as well.

Is this absolutely confidential?

Phoenix, take Young Master Ji away through the back door.

- I'll hold them back. - No!

I can't leave.

They're after me!

- They must be here for me. - You--

Young Master, it's Bi'er.

Bi'er? Open the door quickly.

She's my trusted subordinate. Quickly!

Young Master!

Bi'er!

I've failed you!

I failed to protect you, Young Master!

Bi'er.

I'm just glad that you're alive.

It's fine as long as you're alive.

Fortunately for us...

Brother Zhongli still has control over Azure Dragon Hall.

Where is Hall Master Zhongli now?

He's still in Flame Villa.

After Young Master Ji disappeared, I wrote to him for help.

It was through him that I found out

Young Master Ji was at Thunderclap Sect's headquarters.

I had thought that since it's chaotic in the villa,

Young Master Ji would be safer with you.

Who would have known...

Hall Master Zhongli is managing the villa and I'm deploying our disciples.

We both have Azure Dragon Hall's network firmly in our hands.

That's how we managed to track down Young Master Ji so quickly.

This seems that your mentor appeared to have handed Azure Dragon Hall to Ru Ge

but in fact, he handed it to you.

He must have had suspected Zhan Feng.

But my mentor was truly fond of Senior Feng.

Is Ru Ge still safe at the moment?

Has Yi Lang been spreading false news?

There was a huge fire in Mount Yi and Madam is still missing.

We have yet to find her body.

- There's still hope then! - Yes.

What about Senior Yu?

Ru Ge is in huge trouble.

Its impossible for him to not have taken any action.

Tell me quickly! What's happened to him?

There's nothing unusual at Eastern Sea.

It's said that Prince Jingyuan is nursing his injuries in the camp.

He hasn't left the camp.

That's impossible.

It can't be.

I don't believe in this information either.

But it's true.

Senior Yu is deeply devoted to Ru Ge.

This can't be true.

Something must have gone wrong.

We can't be sure of it yet.

- Officer Huang. - Officer Huang.

Your Highness.

How is it? Have you heard from His Highness?

No.

Could he have fallen for Prince Jingxian's trap?

That can't be.

If Prince Jingxian has His Highness in his hands

he'd have taken action by now.

We wouldn't be keeping up this disguise.

Dark River Palace?

What I fear the most is Dark River Palace.

How's this? Keep investigating.

We'll hold the fort.

I hope that we'll hear from His Highness soon.

If Prince Jingxian finds out about this matter

the consequences will be dire.

Prince Jingyuan, have you made up your mind?

You're no longer deaf.

Why do you still like to act deaf and mute?

Prince Jingyuan indeed.

By the height of your determination alone

Prince Jingxian and Prince Jingyang are far beneath you.

You've approached the wrong man.

But then... of them all, I simply had my eyes on you.

You can have the throne to rule the world.

The Pugilist World is mine.

You're a maniac.

Don't you have any hatred in you at all?

Do you know why you were deaf?

Why your legs are disabled?

Your mother Consort Yu was His Majesty's favorite concubine.

Therefore, before you were born, the Empress started poisoning her.

That's why you were born deaf.

Although you were deaf, your father still loved you dearly.

That was the reason why Prince Jingyang's subordinate

crippled both your legs.

You became an invalid who can't walk.

Your father is well aware of everything that happened to you.

However, in order to protect his sovereignty

he couldn't afford to offend the Empress's clan that's in power.

He turned a blind eye and a deaf ear to it all.

Don't you hate him for that at all?

Don't talk to me about that.

What a lovely Prince Jingyuan you are.

What a pity...

You're just an invalid.

Don't you blame your disability that kept you in a wheelchair

and stopped you from rescuing your beloved in time?

It's because of your fragility that

you can't master the highest skills in martial arts.

There was nothing you could do as you saw your beloved assassinated.

You launched forward to try and catch Lie Ru Ge as she was falling

but you're not skilled enough in martial arts

and you're disabled in both legs.

You could only crawl on the ground.

As long as you're willing to help me

I can make up for all the regrets you've had.

It's too late.

You owe it all to me that you can hear again.

I ordered Anye Jue to help you.

If you still insist on being so stubborn

you won't hear another sound in this world ever again.

So what...

if I can't hear again?

Aren't you afraid that you won't be able to help your beloved again

when she needs help?

What did you say?

As long as her body isn't found

there's always hope she's alive.

Yu Zi Han.

As long as you're willing to help me

I'll set you free to look for her.

Would you like that?

Moreover, I won't try to hurt her again.

How does that sound?

Ru Ge.

Who is unwell? You're decocting medicine out here.

You seem like a young couple that doesn't know much about anything.

Haven't you done any shopping for the New Year either?

New Year shopping?

Silly child, it's almost the Lunar New Year.

I made clothes for my daughter last year.

But the waist was too narrow for her and it doesn't fit.

She hasn't worn it since.

If you don't mind, I'd like you to have it.

How can I accept this?

It will be the New Year soon. Just keep it.

Thank you.

The medicine is done.

All right.

Look!

Is it nice?

It might be ugly, but at least it's a festive color.

Is it that bad?

Stay still.

You're the only one in the world who can make red look so good.

Since your condition's gotten better...

so has your sweet-talking.

Is that so?

Stay still.

What's wrong?

Sit down, quickly.

Is the Frost Curse relapsing again?

Don't worry.

How can I not be worried?

I'm able to control my inner force now.

Lie down and let me heal you with my inner force.

That won't help.

Why wouldn't it? You seem like you've been recovering well lately.

Forget it. We shouldn't spend New Year's here.

Let's leave right away. I'll find a doctor.

There must be a doctor who can cure your illness.

If I die...

what will happen to you?

You won't die...

Everyone dies eventually.

You won't die.

Yin Xue!

- You won't die-- - All right, I won't.

If you kiss me, I won't--

All right, I'll stop teasing you.

I apologize, all right?

Don't cry.

Don't cry. All right now, don't cry.

All right now, don't cry.

- All right now-- - How can you joke about death?

It was just a joke.

It's not a big deal.

How is it not a big deal?

Don't joke like that ever again.
