[The Flame's Daughter]

[Episode 14]

Beauties are like jade.

I said that you're as beautiful as jade.

Ge'er, have you kept me in your thoughts?

You have. Am I right?

Who knew that a fearless Young Mistress like you

is actually scared to admit to this?

I'm not.

What did you say?

I said that I'm not.

What are you doing?

Just a moment.

No, undo the acupuncture lock.

If I unlock you, will you sit still and let me put on your boots?

What sort of a person would freeze someone to put on boots for her?

That's why you should cherish me.

I'm the only one in the world who would treat you like this.

Unlock me.

Sure.

It's about time.

We have to return to Luoyang.

We won't make it if we don't leave now.

I'll get the horse carriage ready.

Go after him!

Take a look over there!

Search the area!

- Yes! - Yes!

We'll just take a break on the spot.

Have some water.

[Flame Villa]

[Flame Villa]

Lie Ru Ge, I owe you one.

Let's say, you saved me this time.

I'll repay you one day.

Did you hurt him?

Young Master Lei is highly skilled in martial arts

and equipped with all sorts of explosives to escape.

If I go easy on him, I'm afraid I won't be able to hold him.

Don't bother explaining it to me.

Since you hurt him and still let him get away

what's the point in saying all this?

If Master finds out that we've hurt Young Master...

You're scared?

I wouldn't dare.

This isn't the first time that I disciplined Young Master.

Has Master ever said a word about it?

Keep searching.

Find him. Tie him up and bring him back here.

Yes!

[Blossoms House]

Miss Phoenix.

Miss Phoenix.

Miss Phoenix.

Miss Phoenix, stop resisting.

I have internal injuries, so this is too much for me!

I'm just asking you for one favor.

I'll give you plenty of taels.

If you agree, nod.

If not, pretend that I was never here.

Among so many courtesans, why did you choose my room?

It's because you're the only one who saw through Dao Wu Xia.

You can tell that he's not a righteous man.

That was why you deliberately seduced him.

Am I right?

I can also tell that you have a bad temper.

Bad-tempered people usually aren't calculating.

I'm the most terrified of those who act smooth and slick.

That's why I feel safe coming to you for help.

It's most assuring.

What favor is it that you ask of me?

Could you get something to dress my wound first?

Who is ruthless enough to lay a finger on you?

Exactly.

They really are too ruthless.

Give me a moment. I'll bring some medicine over.

Yan Niang--

You suffered such injuries all because of me.

This isn't worth mentioning.

They are already lenient with me in the Royal Jingyuan Manor.

He's indeed Lie Ming Jing's disciple.

He's just as ungrateful as his mentor!

Have you heard from Jing Hong?

He has been spending time with those from Top Blade City and Flame Villa.

I sent our men to bring him back, but he had no sense of propriety

and fought with them.

He ran off again.

You should just have him captured!

He is never motivated to strive harder!

He has no sense of propriety!

Sadly...

He's the only son I have.

No one else can inherit Thunderclap Sect.

Yan Niang, if we hadn't lost our child...

She would be around Lie Ru Ge's age now, right?

More or less...

Are you all right?

Should I get you a doctor?

It's all right.

Here, take this with you to see Ru Ge.

Why would you turn to her instead of Thunderclap Sect?

I trust her.

Phoenix!

Don't worry. If I betray you, all I get is the silver taels.

But if I save you, you'll be my biggest supporter.

I'm not that foolish.

What good am I?

Die Yi.

Security Officer Huang.

Young Mistress has returned?

No, there's a courtesan from Blossoms House who is here to see her.

Isn't that Young Master Xue's turf?

Why has she asked to see my mistress?

She said this is a gift for Young Mistress.

"Royal Facial Parlor"?

Why would she give her this?

When I took it from her, it felt really light.

There really is something else in it.

Do you know what this is?

This is the symbol of Thunderclap Sect.

When anyone bullies you, show this to my subordinates.

They will come and help you or bring you to me.

You really recognize this?

I know who is looking for Young Mistress.

But Young Mistress hasn't returned yet.

Should I tell her to wait or should we take a look?

I'll go over to Blossoms House.

Security Officer Huang, don't tell anyone about this.

All right.

Miss Phoenix.

Miss Phoenix.

Miss Phoenix.

Lei Jing Hong?

Lei Jing Hong.

Die Yi? You--

Who hurt you?

Young Mistress is away.

I'll pass on your message to her when she returns.

Phoenix, it's better for you to know as little as possible.

Don't take too long.

It's Thunderclap Sect.

Your own people?

Only my people are aware of my whereabouts.

Your father is at the Royal Jingyang Manor.

Should I invite him here for you?

Don't!

He mustn't find out about this yet.

Why?

It isn't safe for you to stay here.

It's because of my father's second wife.

Yan Niang?

Yes. I suspect that she is behind all of this.

I really can't understand what goes on within Thunderclap Sect.

Lei Jing Hong, tell me.

What can I do for you?

Tell Ru Ge to be cautious of Second Madam.

All right.

Are you leaving?

I said that you're Lie Ru Ge's maid, who came to pick up her things.

Just walk right out.

No one will hold you back.

Miss Phoenix, please look after him.

You speak so gently to Lie Ru Ge's maid.

She must be special to you?

I'm not concerned with what you discussed.

I only care how long you're going to stay here

and hinder me from doing business.

I just need a few more days to recuperate and meet my father secretly.

All right.

You'll need my help again then?

I'll have to trouble you then.

Don't just say it.

How are you going to repay me?

Once this is over, tell me what you want.

I want you.

What?

Me?

I want you.

I'm not like Dao Wu Xia.

I don't fancy courtesans.

It's exactly because you're not a hypocrite like Dao Wu Xia

that I find you worthy of spending my life with.

I'm not even fond of you.

I don't have any interest in you at all.

That's good.

I don't fancy you either.

I'm the Young Master of Thunderclap Sect.

If I were to marry a courtesan, what would other heroes think of me?

Lei family's ancestors would also punish me.

Moreover, Thunderclap Sect makes a living on the sea.

You... you won't get used to that sort of life.

Do you already have someone else in mind?

You really do?

Does it matter?

She's already getting married.

Very good.

What's good about that?

She's getting married, so you can marry me.

Can you not make me marry you just because you saved me?

It's not up to you.

Unless you can be as shameless as Dao Wu Xia.

Be ungrateful and turn your back on your benefactor!

You--

Don't worry. I don't want your affection.

I just want your status.

I don't care if you don't marry me officially.

I...

I escaped just to walk into yet another ambush?

- Young Mistress! - Die Yi.

You've finally returned.

I'm all flustered from waiting.

How is Senior Yu?

In the first few days, he managed to stay conscious.

But he's been sleeping a lot more lately.

Is he asleep now?

He just woke up and now he's having dinner.

I'll look in on him.

Young Mistress!

There's one other matter.

Lei Jing Hong is also in the capital now.

He's injured and it seems

that there's some internal strife within Thunderclap Sect.

He asked me to tell you to watch out for Yan Niang.

After Senior Yu is healed, take me to him.

You've returned.

Yes, Yin Xue sent me back.

He told me to follow your instructions.

When did you both share such a great chemistry?

We have a common enemy.

So our minds are naturally in sync.

Or should I say, mutual friends bring us closer as well.

You're worried?

For no reason, I feel flustered.

Have faith in us.

Young Master Xue.

I'll leave Blossoms House to you.

Young Master Xue, you've invested years of hard work in that place.

You deserve to keep it.

I'll leave the other assets to you.

Please reconsider.

What am I to reconsider?

You already suffer from hypothermia and Frost Poisoning every month.

If you draw the Frost Curse into you

I'm worried that you might not be able to withstand it.

It doesn't matter.

Young Master Yu, what is this?

Just drink it.

Senior Yu won't harm you.

Instruct all the guards in the manor to drink it.

Yes.

Have they received the information?

Forget about them then.

You must stay with Security Officer Huang tonight.

She will protect you.

They will take action in Royal Jingyuan Manor tonight.

- Tonight? - Yes.

How are their security measures?

After Yin Xue left the capital, Prince Jingyuan deployed

the 1,000 elites among the 12 cavalries to his manor.

The royal manor is far more secure than ever before.

Yin Xue is known for his accurate foresight.

It's only right that they took precautions.

It will be tonight that we get the best opportunity to kill him.

It's the chance of a lifetime.

We mustn't miss it.

Help your senior lie down on the bed.

Sure.

Ge'er.

Keep those seven candles burning.

If the candles all go out, even the gods can't save your senior.

Go on.

Listen. It seems to be approaching.

It's finally coming here.

Since I started training in martial arts, I've never fought anyone.

I don't know how many people I can kill.

If you can't handle them, hide behind me.

Dao Wu Xia is quite a smart fellow.

He's just a small fry.

He only dares to offer up some ideas instead of showing up here.

It's good that he isn't here.

Thunderclap Sect gets to take all the credit.

Are these all the guards they have here in Royal Jingyuan Manor?

Could they be in hiding?

They shouldn't be.

Under such circumstances, they will surely protect their master.

Could this be a trap to lure their enemies in?

- Toxic gas! - Retreat!

Young Master Yu is so clever.

His Highness told you to take the antidote but you nearly refused.

You wronged me again.

I was just curious, so I asked about it.

Let's take a look to see if any survived.

Die Yi, watch out!

Die Yi? Die Yi!

Die Yi, are you all right?

Second Madam.

They aren't in there.

That cunning old fox, Yin Xue...

He's a devious schemer.

They aren't in Royal Jingyuan Manor or Blossoms House.

Could they have left Luoyang?

Yu Zi Han suffered serious damage to his health.

He couldn't have gone far.

I'll see where you can possibly hide.

Senior Yu, how do you feel?

I'm fine.

King of Snowy Robe, thank you for saving my life.

Senior Yu, don't say another word.

Get some sleep quickly.

You...

I'm all right.

He will need to sleep for three days and nights without being disturbed.

During this period of time, no matter what happens

he must not be woken up.

Escort him back quickly.

He is now at his weakest.

If Dark River Palace attacks now

all of our efforts will be in vain.

But you seem so pale.

Youqin Hong is right by the door.

He's so much better at martial arts than you are.

I'll come back for you once I drop my senior off.

Ge'er...

I know that I now have a spot in your heart.

Even if I don't go looking for you, you'll come searching for me.

Wait here for me.

Sure.

Go on.

You can only get back quickly if you set out right away.

You already suffer from hypothermia and Frost Poisoning every month.

If you draw the Frost Curse into yourself

I'm worried that you might not be able to withstand it.

My mentor, he...

He's exhausted from using his inner force.

I'll escort my senior back first and I'll return shortly.

Be careful.

All right.

Is this Young Master Xue, whom everyone praises in awe?

How can he be so frail?

This must be the most unusual thing I've ever come across.

Someone knows that Anye Luo was actually in love with someone else.

Yet she stabbed herself in the chest 16 times.

Isn't that quite unusual as well?

There's more.

I know who set your senior free.

You do indeed know a lot.

Indeed I do.

I know all about what you craved but couldn't have.

Yin Xue...

Stop being so arrogant.

I can easily crush you dead with just two of my fingers now.

Did you think that I didn't know you were hiding in here?

Your powers are very weak now.

It was easy to detect your aura and find your location.

Yes, all right.

That is why you went to the Royal Jingyuan Manor.

Imbeciles are imbeciles.

All of them died except you.

They were all disciples of the Thunderclap Sect.

I don't care if they died.

You're now just an invalid.

Can you even squash an ant now?

Why would I need any help?

Try me.

I know that you're just putting up a tough front.

You're extremely cold right now and you drew the Frost Curse in.

I'm afraid that the Frost Poisoning must have gotten to your heart.

Wouldn't I be in great agony then?

Why did you help Prince Jingyuan?

If it was to win over that young girl, why didn't you just kill him?

Wouldn't that be far more satisfying?

I'm not as despicable as you think.

Yin Xue...

You've kept me waiting for too many years.

I won't be frightened off by a few of your tricks.

Since you can gain foresight into all events

why don't you foretell if you'll die at my hands today?

Even if I were to die

I wouldn't die at the hands of a stupid woman like you.

We can give it a try!

The world renown Young Master Xue.

He has now turned into a helpless invalid!

You were so full of nonsense.

It was just to stall for some time!

What a romantic man...

You knew that Dark River Palace wants you dead.

You knew that after drawing in the Frost Curse of extreme coldness

you would be no match for me.

Yet, you still did so for a woman.

Am I the foolish one, or are you?

Even if you kill me...

Anye Luo will only compliment you.

But he won't love you.

Shut up!

You're not fit to speak Supreme Master's name.

Traitor of Dark River Palace!

Are you all right?

Didn't you say that you'd be fine?

Are you feeling very cold?

I'll use Flame Power to protect your heart first.

We'll head back to the royal manor once we leave the mountain.

Go.

Go now!

We have to leave together!

Come.

Someone has come to be buried with him?

Great!

I'll show you some sympathy.

You can both be buried together!

We don't know who will be buried yet!

You dare to embarrass yourself with such incompetent skills?

Yin Xue...

You're a dead man.

Young Master Xue...

Die.

My Flame Fist...

When did it get so powerful?

Silly girl.

Run.

Let's go.

Go!

Be careful.

Be careful!

My senior's men should be right at the bottom of the mountain.

Come.

Yin Xue!

Yin Xue! Yin Xue!

Yin Xue! Yin Xue!

Look... who is it that I caught?

It must feel awful to have a woman on your mind, Yin Xue?

You should... know better than I do.

Are you scared that I'll hurt her?

Don't worry.

I won't hurt her.

Because once you're dead, she will be in great agony.

Yin Xue!

Yin Xue!

Yin Xue!

Yin Xue, you should be grateful to me.

The only way for her to never forget you is... death.
