[The Flame's Daughter]

[Episode 9]

Young Mistress.

Why hasn't Young Master Xue joined us for breakfast yet?

Should I go and invite him over?

Young Master Xue is hard to coax.

It's all because your Young Mistress sided with Zhan Feng.

I wasn't just siding with Zhan Feng.

The two Hall Masters were present too.

They couldn't have conspired together.

Why are being harsh to me? Tell Young Master Xue that.

It's so noisy out there.

What happened? Let's go take a look.

Young Master Dao has given orders!

Should this happen again, you can go to him at Top Blade City.

Dao Wu Xia will definitely uphold justice for you!

Great!

This is wonderful!

Exactly!

Mrs. Huang.

Ru Ge.

What happened?

Why is everyone so happy?

Young Master Dao of Top Blade City found out from the murder case

that it was Cao Ren Qiu of Thunderbreak Manor who threatened us.

He was the one who collected illegal taxes from us.

I was wondering why he poisoned Master Xie.

He was scared of being found out.

I would've never known.

He was such an genteel scholar.

Who would have thought?

Why are you so sure that Cao Ren Qiu killed Master Xie?

He confessed to Flame Villa this morning.

Flame Villa has put up announcements everywhere.

It's posted on every street.

Men from Top Blade City are also announcing it to everyone.

Our noodles!

- Let's go! - Go!

Ru Ge, do you really believe your Senior Feng's final verdict?

I don't know...

I find it strange somehow.

Lei Jing Hong, don't look at me like that.

The culprit who collected the illegal taxes has suddenly been exposed.

It's too much of a coincidence, and it caters too much to what we seek.

It seems like an answer given just to pacify us

so that we stop inquiring and go away.

I get that feeling too.

Top Blade City is really playing it smart.

When it comes to winning people over, they are the first to come forth.

Young Mistress!

Where are you going?

I'm going to see Zhan Feng.

I have to check Xie Hou You's corpse.

Young Master Feng.

- Did you get his confession? - I did.

He refused in the beginning, but then he began to lose consciousness

so I got him to do as I said.

Young Master Feng, Young Mistress is waiting outside.

- You're dismissed. - Yes.

Young Mistress, Young Master Feng has given orders.

No one is allowed to enter without his permission.

I know that.

I'll wait.

Young Mistress, please forgive me.

- Uncle Murong. - Ge'er.

- Uncle Murong, I need to see Zhan Feng. - Can I tell you something?

Please, go on.

I just heard that Cao Ren Qiu confessed.

He's been poisoning Master Xie's food for the past year.

He confessed?

Ge'er, I'd like to offer you some advice.

You're also from Flame Villa.

No matter what happens, as a member of Flame Villa

you mustn't question Zhan Feng in front of the others. Understand?

I understand.

It's good that you do.

I understand, but I can't do so.

Even if my father was the one to make this final verdict

I'd still question him if I had any doubts.

All right. Come with me.

Dieyi, Huang Cong.

Why hasn't Zhan Feng shown up?

Father!

Father!

Father! We must escape right away!

Father!

No, we can't leave.

If I leave, it's as good as confessing to the crime.

I must confront them!

Father!

Young Master Feng's maid said that he pinned the crimes on us!

Flame Villa will have us killed!

Father, please run now, for my sake!

We must get going now!

Why would they do this to us?

Does Master Lie intend to sacrifice us?

Father, stop talking!

We should get going!

Father!

Father!

Father!

Young Master Feng.

Ru Ge, why have you come to see me?

Since you've made the verdict that Deputy Master Cao killed Master Xie

can I see the evidence?

You want to see the evidence?

Hall Master Ling.

These are statements from accomplices in the poisoning of Master Xie.

Signed and stamped in their blood.

The poison is here in this dish.

Not only did Young Master Feng review it, but so did Ping An Town's coroner.

This is Cao Ren Qiu's confession.

He has confessed to his crimes.

Hall Master Murong, have a look.

This is indeed Cao Ren Qiu's handwriting.

It can't be wrong.

Bring that disciple here.

Yes!

Young Master Feng.

What happened on the night that Master Xie was killed?

Young Master Feng.

Two nights ago, Master Xie had a huge argument with Deputy Master.

Everyone in the manor knows of it.

Did they have arguments before?

It was the first time that they argued so fiercely.

But in the past few months, they often had arguments.

What was it about?

I don't know.

- Step out. - Yes.

Lie Ru Ge, what else do you wish to say?

I want to take a look at Master Xie.

I also have to see Cao Ren Qiu.

You won't be able to look at Master Xie.

Didn't you say that once you found the evidence

you'd let me pay my respects to Master Xie?

Cao Ren Qiu destroyed the corpse with acid last night to cover up his crime.

What's even more despicable is that he even snuck out this morning

to pay his respects.

He has the heart of a beast.

Take me to Cao Ren Qiu.

Cao Ren Qiu is a felon.

No one is to see him in private.

I can't say that he's the murderer from just your one-sided story!

One-sided story?

Ru Ge.

Even if your father was here, he wouldn't dare to doubt my character.

Hall Master Murong and I investigated this case with Young Master Feng.

I had those accomplices arrested one by one.

You call it a one-sided story?

Do you think we'd conspire to frame Cao Ren Qiu?

What if I insist on seeing Cao Ren Qiu?

Then don't blame me for teaching you a lesson.

I have the Flame Seal.

Will you still stop me from seeing him?

Master...

Master still passed the Flame Seal down to you.

Seeing the Flame Seal is as good as seeing the Master of Flame Villa.

Zhan Feng, obey my orders.

Present.

Bring Cao Ren Qiu to me.

And everyone related to the case.

I want to interrogate them, one by one.

Yes.

Young Master Feng, Cao Ren Qiu has escaped.

What did you say?

Cao Ren Qiu drugged some of our disciples and escaped.

- Search for him now! - Yes!

He escaped in guilt.

Ru Ge, what else do you have to say?

Hall Masters Murong, Ling, and I are here.

We have witnesses and solid evidence but you won't believe us.

But you chose to believe in a child.

It isn't so...

You don't even know what kind of news Top Blade City has been spreading.

I don't want to know.

They said that Thunderbreak Manor collected illegal taxes.

Don't you find it strange?

How could there be such a coincidence?

You happened to get the statements

and they blamed another crime on Cao Ren Qiu--

Lie Ru Ge!

Are you trying to embarrass me as revenge for annulling our engagement?

- That's not it! - That's enough!

Since you have the Flame Seal, I will obey your orders.

I'll bring him to you

and let you interrogate him personally.

Quickly! Hurry!

Quickly.

Hurry.

What happened?

Cao Ren Qiu has escaped.

That's impossible.

All the skilled warriors of Flame Villa are here.

How did he escape when he can't even fight?

Did Zhan Feng go after him?

Yes.

Your Senior Feng staged all of this.

He wants to silence him.

Xiao Feng!

Get up, quickly!

Xiao Feng, come with me, quickly!

Father, I'm not leaving!

Run! I can't be a burden to you!

Xiao Feng! Quickly!

Get on my back!

Xiao Feng...

I didn't kill Master Xie.

I've never killed anyone!

Go!

Young Master Feng!

- Father! - Xiao Feng!

Father!

A murder suspect, running out of guilt.

Show no mercy!

Father!

Father!

Father!

You killed my father!

I'll kill you!

My father was a good man!

A good man!

I didn't kill your father.

You did!

You did it!

You gave them orders to kill my father!

- Murderer! - Zhan Feng.

You're being soft-hearted again.

You're a murderer!

You killed my father!

I'm going to kill you!

I want to go to my father!

Why?

Why can't you even spare a child?

Would you rather have him live his life in hatred?

Young Master...

Cao Ren Qiu took his own life with explosives.

A few of our disciples...

were blown to ashes.

Listen up.

You're not to mention a word about seeing the explosives today.

Yes!

Zhan Feng!

Xiao Feng...

Xiao Feng?

Xiao Feng!

Xiao Feng...

Xiao Feng!

You killed Xiao Feng...

You killed Xiao Feng.

Draw your blade.

You're no match for me.

How would you know unless you try?

Draw your blade!

Young Master!

Young Mistress!

Young Mistress!

Young Mistress!

Are you all right, Young Mistress?

I lost.

Bring Xiao Feng with us.

Let's go.

Young Master Xue!

- Young Master Xue! - Young Master Xue!

Young Master Xue!

Young Master Xue!

Young Master Xue!

Young Mistress, she--

Who hurt her?

- It was Young Master Feng! - Xiao Feng...

Save Xiao Feng, quickly.

Yes.

How is he? Can you save him?

He's gone?

Xiao Feng! Xiao Feng!

Xiao Feng!

Xiao Feng!

How could this be?

How could this be...

Wake up, Xiao Feng.

Xiao Feng...

Xiao Feng, wake up!

Xiao Feng!

Xiao Feng...

Young Mistress!

I'll heal Ge'er.

None of you are allowed to come in.

I'll make you fall asleep for a while.

Don't worry.

How did Ru Ge's inner force reach such a high level?

Young Master Feng!

Young Master Feng, we've dismissed Thunderbreak Manor's disciples.

Top Blade City will take over the manor.

Thank you, Hall Master Ling.

We'll head back to Flame Villa tomorrow.

Yes!

You're awake?

Here.

I'm sorry.

I shouldn't have let you go there alone.

Why am I so useless?

You've already done your best, Ge'er.

I've practiced the Flame Fist for over 10 years now.

Who knew that in the end, I'd still be so useless?

I wanted to avenge Xiao Feng.

But I just made a fool of myself.

Why am I so useless?

Yin Xue...

I don't want to be so useless.

I want to become more powerful.

Yin Xue...

Will you teach me, please?

Ge'er...

You have me.

You don't have to be strong when I'm by your side.

As long as you're willing to stay by my side

I can help you.

No one in the world can hurt you.

Once the enchanted seal has cracked, it can never be repaired.

Ge'er, I can only do my best to help you stall for a bit longer.

Third Young Mistress.

It's news from the capital.

Prince Jingyuan is growing weaker by the day.

I don't think he'll live for long.

That cripple brought it upon himself.

Who is it?

Young Master.

What are you doing here?

I made some pastries and brought some for you.

Don't just wander around without my permission.

Yes.

Third Young Mistress.

Thank you.

I just saw you when I was bringing the pastries.

You have to be more careful from now on.

Young Master, he...

He's quite disgruntled with you.

Why did you help me?

You're Wu Xia's woman.

Ge'er helped me once.

She saved my life.

You're her friend.

Helping you is as good as helping Ge'er.

Isn't that... Young Master Feng?

- Yes, it's Young Master Feng. - It's him.

Why is there a young lady with him?

Who is she?

Mrs. Huang, look at those lanterns.

They are so similar to the ones Young Master Xue gave us.

You're right.

Young lady, may I ask what this lantern is called?

It's called Flowing Fire.

Flowing Fire?

What a beautiful name!

Where did you buy this lantern?

This isn't sold anywhere.

It's created by magic.

Magical powers?

Yes, it's the magical powers of Dark River Palace.

Dark River Palace?

Wasn't Dark River Palace already vanquished by Flame Villa--

Young Master Xue.

Has Anye Luo come out of seclusion?

Yes.

Supreme Master heard that

the Lord of Misty Peak was living in a tiny town like Ping An Town

and that Young Mistress Lie was severely injured.

He ordered me to bring her medicine.

This is Xingnandan and Nine-foot Lotus.

The very best external medicines from Dark River Palace.

Young Master Xue, you must know these better than us, right?

Why are you both so quiet?

You're still too young.

You don't understand.

Young Master Lei, you aren't that much older than me.

Security Officer Huang, do you also share my thoughts?

Yes.

Is Dark River Palace really going to be resurrected?

You're scared of Dark River Palace?

What's there to be scared of?

When Flame Villa is here!

There's so much that you don't know.

If there's something I don't know, just tell me then.

You wouldn't believe me even if I tell you.

I'll believe you if it makes sense.

All right, answer me.

There's this rumor in the Pugilist World.

It's said that Lie Ming Jing used Dark River Palace

to get rid of Zhan Fei Tian so that he could become Master.

Nonsense!

I knew you wouldn't believe it.

Sister Dieyi, don't be angry.

I shouldn't have lied to you.

It's my fault.

Who are you calling your sister?

Don't act like you're close to me.

You're already up?

Here.

You're still brooding over Thunderbreak Manor's case?

I want to return to Flame Villa.

You're going to complain to your father and have him re-investigate it.

Yes.

Xie Hou You's corpse has been destroyed.

That's the most important evidence.

The suspect is also dead.

There's no one to interrogate.

When all the existing evidence proves Zhan Feng right...

what can you use to convince your father?

Moreover, everyone in the Pugilist World thinks that

Thunderbreak Manor collected the illegal taxes

and caused internal strife.

Their clan was wiped out for a just cause.

You wish to overthrow the verdict, but with what?

With just your words?

What else can I do?

Am I to pretend that none of it happened?

Yin Xue...

You've thought it all through.

Have you come up with a plan?

Even you don't have a plan...

Is Top Blade City behind the murder?

Why do you suspect Top Blade City?

The day after Dao Lie Xiang had our stall thrashed

Master Xie was killed.

Thunderbreak Manor was even framed for collecting the illegal taxes.

Even if Top Blade City isn't the mastermind behind it

they must be related to it somehow.

But you don't have any evidence.

No, I don't have any evidence.

Ge'er, here's a word of advice.

Wait.

Wait for an opportunity.

There will always be an opportunity.

If you suspect Top Blade City

then just keep that doubt in mind and keep it rooted there.

When you do get an opportunity

show them no mercy in overturning the verdict.

But before you can do so

if you can't be certain or even half-certain

you must never alert the enemies.

Would you like to go to Misty Peak with me?

Where you used to train?

Yes.

Just see it as coming with me to get some things off your mind, okay?

Can I go there even if I didn't train there?

Sure.

I'm the Chief.

- You-- - What?

Do I not look like it?

It's not that.

Why would the Chief of the Misty Deity Lineage open up a brothel in Luoyang?

I was waiting for you.

But we didn't know each other before we met at Blossoms House.

How could you have been waiting for me?

It's just another hoax.

Fine.

Since you didn't turn me down, I'll take that as a yes.

Dieyi.

Young Mistress! You're all right!

You gave me such a fright!

What's there to be scared of?

Young Master Feng is so skilled in martial arts.

I was so worried about you.

I was scared that you'd suffer internal injuries!

I'm all right now.

There's nothing to scared of. She has Young Master Xue.

Well?

You must be disappointed in your Senior Feng, huh?

But if you intend to keep traveling the Pugilist World

why don't you come to Jiangnan with me, to see Thunderclap Sect

since you've already been to Top Blade City?

I'm going to visit Misty Deity Lineage.

The Misty Deity Lineage?

It's the mountain of the deities beyond the mortal world.

Only those fated to visit can see it.

If you aren't fated, you won't be

able to find it, even if you look for centuries.

I have a way to get there.

But we have to bury Xiao Feng first.

Xiao Feng...

Anyone who passes away single in Flame Villa is cremated.

Only then can the soul be free from any restraints.

Go wherever you please.

This place now belongs to Top Blade City!

Unrelated persons aren't to come near!

These are Xie Xiao Feng's ashes.

This is his home.

No one can keep us out.

There's no Thunderbreak Manor nor Xie family in the Pugilist World now.

This house belongs to Top Blade City!

Dogs! Get out of our way!

What do you want?

How dare you act so impetuously on Top Blade City's territory?

Dao Lie Xiang, you came at the right time.

Let us enter!

Miss Dao, these are Xie Xiao Feng's ashes.

Please let us enter.

I can let one of you in, but only if you defeat me.

I'll hold you to your word then.

You just recovered, so you can't use your inner force.

Lie Ru Ge, you just fought Zhan Feng.

Leave it to me this time.

Dao Lie Xiang, I haven't had a good match with you yet.

Bring it on!

Miss Dao, excuse my manners!

Tell Lie Ru Ge that Yu Zi Han will die soon.

Why should I believe you?

Believe it or not, it's up to you.

Is that all Jiangnan Thunderclap Sect has got?

Another round!

Hand me the urn. I'll bury it.

You can get lost now.

Dieyi, hand it to her.

Let's go.
