[The Wolf]

[Episode 5]

So you are the Young Mistress of the Ma Family.

No wonder you abandoned me to the Ma Family Army back then.

Now, I'm Prince of Bo,

while you are someone from Ma Family.

Stand there. Who dares to trespass into Ma Mansion at this late hour?

Who is there?

I am the Young Feudal Master of Tongzhou.

I am friends with the Ma Family's Young Mistress.

I heard about the Ma Mansion's tragedy and came here.

The Feudal Young Mistress was burnt to a crisp.

Her corpse is unrecognizable.

She is in one of these coffins.

The corpse is unrecognizable

but how could Young Mistress' bronze bell be damaged by fire?

Has anyone here found Young Mistress' bronze bell?

I've searched the Ma Mansion carefully according to the strategist's orders.

I didn't find any bronze bells.

In that case, I believe that the Young Mistress is still alive.

With the Ma Mansion as the Center,

I will bring my men to search towards the South.

If it's as the what you say,

we can definitely find the Young Mistress with this clue.

Let's not waste time.

I will leave immediately and search towards the North.

If the Young Mistress is found, you will be the one who has contributed the most.

I'm just worried about her safety.

Feudal Young Mistress Ma might wake up any time soon.

My lord, you can question her later.

She is awake!

Feudal Young Mistress.

Young Mistress Ma.

She...

is not Ma Zhaixing.

She is just an empty shell.

Right now,

she is not Ma Zhaixing.

Princess Ma is probably suffering from Soul Separation Syndrome.

She experienced huge mental trauma.

Her head was struck heavily as well.

Her mind and body couldn't take it.

It is like she lost her soul, totally severing any communications with the outside world.

If the Young Mistress continues to skip her meals,

I'm afraid it will endanger her life.

Bring some water.

News from Ma Yehan!

The Feudal Lord and his family were annihilated by Jin!

Feudal Lord and his whole family are all dead?

They died in the hands of Jin's ruler!

[Ma Jing, Ma Family Army]

Brother. We are just a few days away from the Imperial City.

We can beg His Majesty to send the army to take down Jin!

An eye for an eye!

[Ma]

Break camp immediately and head for the Imperial City

to ask His Majesty to give the Ma Family Army justice!

Let's depart to punish the enemy!

An eye for an eye!

The reaction of the imperial court and the Ma Family Army

towards Ma Ying's death was just as I expected.

Don't worry, Your Majesty.

Everything is moving according to Your Majesty's plan.

The Ma Family Army has submitted a military plan.

They hope Your Majesty can attack the King of Jin.

They are willing to sacrifice themselves.

Using Ma Ying's death alone to exchange for priceless army morale.

it's worth it.

Yes, Your Majesty.

Regarding the Ma Family Army's return to the Capital,

send Prime Minister Jing Xiang to welcome them.

Yes, Your Majesty.

Looks like the princess has no intention to survive anymore.

Even her body refuses to drink.

I'm afraid she will die soon.

The medicine has no effect.

If the medicine doesn't work, we will fight poison with poison.

That may work.

But a strong medicine like that...

I still need one more ingredient.

- What is it? - Usnea herb.

Its medicinal effect is gentle but not weak.

It is able to neutralize her poison and protect her vital channels.

Without it, the princess might die here.

We need to hurry.

Where can we find the usnea herb?

There's a Xingyue (Star Moon) Mountain not far from here.

The terrain is rough. We might find it there.

Take care of the princess. I'm going to Xingyue Mountain.

My Lord, wait!

It's a bad idea to go to this mountain rashly.

Legend says that there is a huge tiger there that hurts people.

My Lord, are you sure you want to go?

It's been a while since I fought a tiger.

It's my first time fighting two at once though.

Carefully search the area and find any clues of the Feudal Young Mistress!

Yes!

Feudal Young Master, there's a temple ahead.

The horse outside looks like a warhorse of the army.

It's not the usual mount.

Be careful and scout it out.

Yes.

It's been a while since Master went to the mountains.

He should be back by now.

Who are you? How dare you abduct the Ma family's Young Mistress?

[Command Token]

Looking at your outfit

and the seal of Tongzhou's Feudal Lord on you,

you must be a member of the Gu Family of Tongzhou.

I am Gu Qingping, the Feudal Young Lord of Tongzhou.

Who are you?

The Dragon Command Seal is here.

We are His Majesty's envoys.

Your Honor is the royal envoy of His Majesty?

That's right.

- Leave. - Yes.

Why will you be with the Feudal Young Mistress at this place?

His Majesty received a tip-off.

The Ma Family might be attacked by the King of Jin.

That is why His Majesty sent us here.

Yet, we were still late.

Feudal Young Mistress Ma was rescued by us.

Thank you for your assistance in preserving Young Mistress Ma's life.

You knew her?

I'm an old friend of hers.

We cherish each other.

Young Mistress Ma was struck on the head and is suffering from Soul Separation Syndrome.

Besides drinking medicine to cure it,

if she has a close friend to talk to her, it might help to cure her.

Let's see if you can wake her up.

Let me accompany her alone for a while.

Her problem is my problem.

I will accompany her until she becomes lucid.

Feudal Young Mistress, I once told you that

I will bring you away from that sad place.

Bring you away from Kuizhou and go to a brand new place.

My Lord. You are hurt.

Who is he?

The Young Mistress' old friend, the Feudal Young Lord of Tongzhou.

The Young Mistress hasn't eaten at all.

He said he is a trusted friend of hers.

So, he might succeed if he tries.

This is peppermint.

Indeed. It helps with refreshing the mind.

Give it to him.

Yes.

Here, Young Mistress.

You have to eat to regain energy.

She is eating!

Eat more.

Father...

Young Mistress, are you awake?

It's me. Do you still remember me?

Father...

You want to return to Ma Mansion and see your father?

Young Mistress wants to return to Ma Mansion.

Let's send her back immediately.

Regarding this, we have to ask the envoy.

Your Honor.

What do you want?

The Feudal Young Mistress spoke just now.

She wants to return to Ma Mansion.

I think this will be beneficial her illness.

That's impossible.

Please tell me the reason.

You don't have the right to know.

I'm her good friend. You saw it.

If not for me, how could she start eating?

Good. Keep feeding her.

You don't have to ask about anything else.

Your Honor, are you ordering me like a slave?

- So what? - You...

My Master is a special envoy appointed by His Majesty.

He has the Dragon Command Seal.

Whatever he says is His Majesty's command.

It's so strange.

When that Young Lord fed the princess water earlier,

she still wouldn't drink.

Don't tell me that the key to her finally eating

lies in Master's peppermint?

My Lord, how did you know that the Feudal Young Mistress likes peppermint?

I was just giving it a try.

I've got the usnea herb.

Make the medicine and feed it to her.

Yes.

What is the situation of the Ma Family Army?

According to my calculation,

they should be near the Imperial City now.

The Prime Minister is here!

Even the Prime Minister is welcoming them in person.

Looks like His Majesty is really giving Ma Family Army a great welcome.

The Ma Family Army's return looks to be proceeding normally.

General Ma.

It's been tough on your arduous journey.

I hope you can stay in the Imperial City for a long time.

[Prime Minister, Jing Xiang] I will definitely treat you well.

With my civil ability and your military prowess, we can assist each other

in serving His Majesty together.

Prime Minister. You are too polite.

Now!

General Ma! You... You are...

I don't mind sacrificing everything

to find the truth behind Feudal Lord Ma's death.

Do you think the Ma Family Army will easily believe

that the King of Jin is the murderer?

Ma Fengcheng. Didn't you report to His Majesty

that Feudal Lord Ma left some writings in the crime scene?

Besides, no one in this world except for Jin

would dare to assassinate someone from Ma Family!

For more than ten years, King of Jin has been persuading the Feudal Lord to side with him.

He is someone who values talents.

He will never harm the Feudal Lord that easily.

You!

This is serious.

Let us do this. We will move separately.

Go back and report this to Master.

I will seek an audience with His Majesty.

Everyone here is willing to die for Feudal Lord!

We will die for the Feudal Lord!

Your Majesty. The Ma Family Army is not saying that they suspect you.

But they hope that you can see them in person and swear an oath with your blood.

Only then will they believe that this case was done by Jin.

How capable of them.

They dare to blackmail me to swear an oath for their trust?

If I did that,

where will the might of the emperor go?

Do I have to swear such an oath to everyone from then on?

Reporting. Hai Die from the Royal House of Bo requests for an audience!

Your Majesty.

Is Ma Zhaixing still alive? Where is she?

Prince of Bo will be bringing her back to the city.

Go and assist him.

He needs to come back immediately. Hurry.

My Lord!

My Lord. It's bad!

The Ma Army refuses to easily believe that the murderer is the Jin Army.

They've captured the Prime Minister and are forcing His Majesty to meet them.

They even made a remonstration for His Majesty to swear a blood oath.

Let's go. Bring the Feudal Young Mistress and leave immediately.

Where is she?

Could that Young Lord disregarded Master's refusal and brought the Young Mistress back to Kuizhou?

Mo Xiao. Did you see anyone suspicious on your way here?

The path I took is the one towards Kuizhou.

That Young Lord did not bring the Young Mistress back to Ma Mansion.

Looks like that Feudal Young Lord of Tongzhou is not who he seems.

He must have an ulterior motive.

- Here. - Drink!

- Congratulations to Young Master for saving the Feudal Young Mistress. - Yes.

- Congratulations, Young Master. - Congratulations, Young Master.

Here. Young Master, drink.

Drink!

Those envoys truly believed that Young Master was there to bring the Young Mistress back to Ma Mansion.

- I'm sure they are looking for her now. - Young Master is wise!

- Now, this Ma Family Feudal Young Mistress will be under the control of Young Master. - That's right!

- Yes. Young Master is great! - That's right.

- Young Master is wise! - Young Master is wise!

Here.

Ma Zhaixing, if you are awake,

you will definitely ask why I did not bring you to Ma Mansion, right?

You should blame Chu Kui!

The Gu Family worked for him for a lifetime but he betrayed us and removed our authority!

I did everything to get close to you

so I can coax you into siding with Jin and threaten the whole Ma Family to surrender as well.

Unexpectedly, your family was destroyed by Jin first.

Luckily, you're still alive.

You will become my bargaining chip to ally with Jin.

Young Master. It is as you expected.

The group of imperial envoys is heading towards Ma Mansion now.

Great!

We will be long gone when they realized that they've been tricked.

Young Master is wise.

Young Master is wise.

You are really sick.

Why did you love someone who was raised by a wolf instead of someone normal?

Today, I will let you know

that I'm the real wolf.

I heard that when you drink

this Datura Wine,

you will develop illusions.

I will test it out on a zombie like you today.

All right?

I am best in brining under control

smug and self-righteous rich family daughters like you!

♫ Used to the depth of the darkness ♫

Why are you here? Didn't you go to Ma Mansion?

♫ Don't need any vast fame and power; During the day, sunlight lights up the road I walk on, at night, my vision illuminates it ♫

Why is the Datura Wine taking effect now?

Young Master! Young Master! Young Master!

Hurry! Kill him!

♫ I tell myself to keep pushing on by feeling ♫

♫ It’s history in the making, climbing mountains and cliffs ♫

Hurry! Bring Ma Family's Feudal Lord Mistress with us!

Wolf Boy.

This is the shape of the wind!

♫ You will hug me firmly ♫

father...

and everyone else...

They are all...

They are all gone.

♫ Wait for me; Falling down for you ♫

♫ Falling down; Igniting the fireworks of love ♫

♫ Fireworks vibrating ♫

I am the Third Prince, Prince of Bo.

According to the imperial court's rules, you can call me Prince of Bo.

You...

are not Wolf Boy?

Or...

Are you still blaming me and refusing to reunite with me?

Feudal Young Mistress Ma.

Looks like you have not fully recovered from your Soul Separation Syndrome.

You still can't differentiate illusions from reality.

My Lord. Your injury is very serious. You have to get it treated now.

Let's go.

♫ I have always been guarding ♫

♫ Nothing has changed ♫

♫ Like that star a billion years ago ♫

♫ Still twinkling ♫

Feudal Young Mistress Ma, you've just recovered from Soul Separation Syndrome. I'm sure you're confused.

Can you tell me what was the last memory that you remember?

I remember that

I was talking with my father that night.

Suddenly,

someone attacked Ma Mansion.

Father asked me to leave to protect me.

He started to fight with the man in black clothes.

I thought I will die with my father

but I was just knocked out.

We arrived at the last moment to defeat the assassin and save you.

But we couldn't prevent the tragedy from happening.

His Majesty received a tip-off.

He knew King of Jin will harm Ma Family.

Everything was

really the act of Jin?

Indeed,

it was not done

by Jin alone.

I believe the King of Jin and the Feudal Young Lord of Tongzhou,

Gu Qingping, have conspired together.

My Lord. It is as you predicted.

I found a letter of treason with Jin on the corpse of that Young Feudal Lord of Tongzhou.

This as well. It's the Tiger Seal used by the Jin army.

Young Mistress.

Hateful Jins. They used despicable tricks to harm my family.

I, Ma Zhaixing, will definitely avenge my father

and everyone in Ma Mansion by seeking justice from Jin in this life!

They will pay!

Third Prince.

I thank you for rescuing me.

I will go to the Capital to thank His Majesty after I arranged the funeral back at Ma Mansion tomorrow.

No.

Tomorrow at dawn, all of us will return to the Capital immediately.

Feudal Young Mistress, this is not the end.

The Ma Family Army doesn't know about Jin's trickery.

They think that the annihilation of Ma Family was the doing of His Majesty.

They had already launched an assault on the Capital.

What?

Feudal Lord Ma Ying is dead.

The lives of tens of thousands of Ma Family Army depends on you now.

Whether we can return to the capital on time and prevent a war,

I'm sure you know which is more important.

You've just recovered. Rest early today.

We ride fast back to the Capital tomorrow morning.

Thank you, everyone.

My Lord. Let me treat you with acupuncture.

Young Mistress Ma. I have to remove Master's clothes. Please, go inside.

My Lord. Forgive me for saying this.

After this injury has recovered, you will not only have scars.

You might hurt your muscles and bones if you don't focus on your recovery.

Injury?

Scar?

Princess Ma, what is it?

Forgive me for being rude.

Just that I have an old friend who looks similar to Your Highness.

He has a scar on his shoulder.

I have no scars on my body.

Now you should know

that I am not your old friend, right?

Rest early. We return immediately at dawn tomorrow.

Swear a blood oath!

Seek the truth!

Swear a blood oath!

Seek the truth!

Swear a blood oath!

Seek the truth!

[Yang's Second Prince, Chu Yougui]

Second Prince!

The Ma Family Army understands that approaching the Capital with an army carries the same crime as treason!

But everyone from my general's mansion was annihilated! [Suyang]

We have to take revenge!

We hope His Majesty can be here and clear our doubts with a blood oath

so we can be convinced to be loyal to His Majesty!

Generals!

The death of Feudal Lord Ma and the annihilation of the Ma Family not only saddened you!

His Majesty is grieving too!

However, swearing a blood oath is not something a subject should do to threaten his ruler!

Threatening in this manner is a rude and an unloyal act!

Prince of Yun!

Everyone in the Ma Family Army is enraged!

We have no choice!

We seek His Majesty's forgiveness!

The Ma Family Army only seeks justice

and the truth!

It's not hard to get the truth!

Few days ago, His Majesty received a tip-off that said Jin will harm the Ma Family.

His Majesty immediately sent Prince of Bo to protect them.

Prince of Bo has replied with an emergent letter saying he will return with proof that will convince everyone!

If it is fake, it's not too late for all of you to seek justice from His Majesty!

Fine!

I will wait for Prince of Bo and see what he brings back!

Brother. They are trying to delay us so they can enforce a pincer attack to destroy us.

Prince of Yun!

If I don't see Prince of Bo by noon,

we have no choice but to invade the city!

My Lord, bad news.

Hai Die sent a homing pigeon.

Ma Family Army has gone to take the Capital.

They are half a day earlier than we predicted.

It's bad if the army reaches the Capital first.

Your Highness. Let's set out immediately.

Feudal Young Mistress Ma, it's not that His Highness don't wish to continue,

but rushing back to the Capital as we originally planned will still be too late.

The Ma Family Army will reach it first.

What should we do?

There is a dangerous path.

It is the fastest way to reach the Capital.

We will reach around noon.

My Lord. That is not a path.

Even if it's a path, it's not made for humans.

- This path is— - Your Highness.

As long as the Ma Family Army can be saved, I'm willing to give it a try.

Since Feudal Young Mistress is willing to take the risk...

I'm also a member of Ma Family Army.

Of course, I will take the risk.

I will then accompany you with my life.
