Chief Shen.

This is a tiresome work.

You should just forget about it.

I'm fine.

Look. It's done.

I think...

it's not sweet enough.

It's alright. I'll make another batch and it'll be perfect.

You want to make more?

Han Guang is picky. Of course I must perfect it.

Jiang Wu!

Fighting him now won't benefit you!

He killed my brother and you're still helping him?

You can see his condition!

You won't get the answer you want!

Mo Qing.

Wake up, Mo Qing.

Come to your senses.

Mo Qing.

Mo Qing.

-Die, Li Chen Lan! -Jiang Wu!

You know who caused this!

Let's cool down for now.

We'll meet up in Wu Er Palace at noon tomorrow...

to talk it over.

Mo Qing.

Mo Qing.

Wu.

Isn't it meaningless for us to stay here?

They've yet to pay for the life they owe me.

Of course I have to stay.

Why do we have to wait until tomorrow?

We're giving them time to come up with a plan.

Wu.

Lu Zhao Yao is nothing but trouble.

She's not the only woman in this world.

Kill her.

I'll find a better one for you.

I don't need you to make decisions for me.

Because of one woman,

you changed so much.

Don't you remember?

Don't you remember our oath?

Save me.

May heaven and earth be my witnesses.

From today onwards, I, Song Yi,

shall be sworn brothers with Li En and Jiang Wu.

We shall share all our happiness...

and hardships.

We ask not the same day of birth,

but we seek to die together.

We vow with our blood.

If we betray our brothers,

let us be crushed like these cups.

I will surely...

avenge Xiao En.

I won't spare Li Chen Lan.

Li Chen Lan!

Wu!

Why can't you understand?

Lu Zhao Yao and Li Chen Lan are together in this!

If you don't kill Lu Zhao Yao,

you can't kill Li Chen Lan either!

Is that woman...

more important than our brotherhood?

She's Lu Zhao Yao.

Nothing in this world...

is more important than her.

I repeat.

I will surely...

avenge Xiao En.

Master.

Tell your chief to come.

Yes.

Will you leave with Jiang Wu?

Do you think I will?

The two powers in me...

have changed me entirely.

-Chief Gu, master came for treatment. -Which one?

Master Li.

Master Lu brought him over. He's waiting in the entryway.

What happened to him this time?

Master Li...

He's surrounded by a dark energy.

Get my medical kit.

Yes!

What happened?

Prior to this, the two powers in your body were equals.

But now, you can barely suppress them.

What exactly did you do?

You tell me then.

Chen Lan.

What exactly happened?

Why did you kill Jiang Wu's trusted aide?

Tell me honestly.

What will happen if he can't suppress the devil within you?

Only killing...

can calm me down.

Don't be too worried.

Han Guang told me that...

he's working on cultivating Rebirth.

However,

we'll have to wait 5 years.

Are you prepared to pay with your life?

We can't give you that.

But, you can take all others.

I waited one night and this is the answer I get?

I said before that...

I want a life for a life.

If he doesn't surrender his life,

I'll take his subordinate's life.

No.

I'm the one at fault.

I can give up the position of the leader of Wan Lu Sect.

I can leave as well.

From now on, Wan Lu Sect is yours.

Alright.

Ah Da!

Mo Qing!

Mo Qing!

Mo Qing! Calm down!

Mo Qing!

Calm down!

Mo Qing!

Mo Qing!

Mo Qing.

Jiang Wu!

Mo Qing, look at me!

Mo Qing!

Mo Qing, calm down!

You owe me a life.

So, I took one from you.

Since you wouldn't give it to me, I took it myself.

From today onwards, I will make you all...

pay for everything you owe me little by little.

Mo Qing!

Wake up, Mo Qing!

Mo Qing!

Mo Qing!

Come to your senses!

Mo Qing.

Ah Da.

Ah Da.

Xiao En.

I promise you that...

I will make Li Chen Lan lose everything.

From now on,

you're free to create troubles for Wan Lu Sect.

Capture as many men...

as you can.

Those you can't capture,

kill them on the spot.

Yes, master!

Let's go!

Brother Xiao Yi, we finally get to fight.

Shouldn't you be happy?

I'm not unhappy.

But, even though Xiao En died unjustly,

his sacrifice wasn't completely meaningless.

He...

brought back the old Jiang Wu.

If only I could control the evil power in my body,

Ah Da wouldn't have died.

I shouldn't have snapped.

Mo Qing.

You were just affected by the evil power.

Gu Han Guang will go out and find a cure for you.

Once he returns,

everything will get better.

What do you want this time?

I really...

don't know how to say it.

Don't waste my time.

Han Guang.

Chen Lan is not in the condition...

to wait 5 years.

Give me 3 days.

I'm sorry for this.

Go back and tell Lu Zhao Yao and Li Chen Lan...

to rest assured and wait.

This is the last time.

If this happens again,

I'll leave him to his own devices.

Alright.

Han Guang.

You made it?

Let me try.

It's not successful.

This time, it's not sweet enough.

I'll make another batch later.

I'll add some more malt sugar.

I won't be picky if you're the one who prepared it.

It's exactly because it's meant for you that...

I want to present only the best.

You're still such a perfectionist.

By the way,

I need to be...

away for a few days.

Where are you going?

I need to go to Xu Zong Sect's base...

to acquire a herb for Li Chen Lan.

Will they give it to you?

I don't know.

But, I'll still need to try.

You don't have to worry.

Whether they give it to me or not,

I'll be back after 2-3 days.

Then you must...

stay safe.

I almost forgot.

Qian Jin.

The things you make for me...

will always be...

sweet to me.

Please have a drink.

I heard you intend to leave.

May I know why?

Am I not hospitable enough?

You've been very hospitable.

It's just that...

I've been here for a long time...

and yet, my power hasn't been restored at all.

I understand that you've tried your best.

But, the world is vast...

and perhaps I can...

find a solution elsewhere.

So, I came to bid farewell to you.

You need to take your time to recuperate.

Please do not be impatient.

Wan Lu Sect is harming and killing the good people.

I can't take my time to recuperate here.

If I can't fight for the people,

I'd rather die.

If that's the case,

I dare not stop you.

But, it's not impossible to...

heal you quickly.

However,

this method is extremely risky.

In fact, it requires an extremely rare herb.

What herb is that?

Xu Zong Sect's secret medicine,

"Rebirth".

Sect Leader Jiang.

For the sake of the world, I will take any risk at all.

Please let me have the medicine.

There is only a 50% success rate.

If it works, you will live, and if it fails, you will die.

Are you sure?

Please let me have the medicine.

I will not let you down.

Master. Mr. Ming Xuan. Gu Han Guang of Wan Lu Sect came.

I believe he came for the matter of our annual competition.

I'll brush him off and return in a while.

Thank you.

Let's go.

Back then,

you had your entrance ceremony...

right under this plaque.

Senior Jiang He.

It's been so many years.

This place is still the same.

Time changes everything.

There are some changes.

Through our competition this year,

I noticed that you've reached a new height in your medical studies.

I merely won by luck.

I was surprised you sent me Rebirth...

for the prize.

Yes.

I finally managed to cultivate it.

Can I assume that...

you know how to use the herb?

I've yet to fully understand the secret manual.

I don't know how to use it yet.

I came back today...

to make a presumptuous request.

I'd like to borrow Rebirth from you.

Do you still remember what Rebirth means to me?

I do.

Then why did you bother to ask?

Even though I chose to leave Xu Zong Sect,

I've never forgotten our promise.

I promise you that...

I will return the herb within the stipulated time...

and work with you to lift the curse of the secret magic.

For this,

I hope you can...

Han Guang.

You've travelled far to come here.

You must be tired.

I'm glad I've kept your room vacant for you.

It's getting late. You should get some rest.

We can talk again...

some other day.

Who is that?

It's you.

Stop!

-Master! -Master!

Senior Jiang He.

So Luo Ming Xuan is here.

Do you have any idea that...

he used the blood of others to break the seal placed on him?

He's such a despicable person.

Why are you helping him?

Sect Leader Jiang.

Are you going to be merciful to people from Wan Lu Sect too?

But, he's my junior after all.

Traitors should not be treated as friends.

Moreover,

he has discovered me.

If he informs Wan Lu Sect of this,

Xu Zong Sect will be under attack.

Even if you value your bond with him,

you must at least confine him.

Guards.

Put Gu Han Guang in prison.

Do not allow him to contact anyone outside.

-Yes. -Yes.

Master.

Why are we confining Senior Han Guang?

We never meddle in other people's conflicts.

We've never been involved in the battle between...

Mr. Ming Xuan and Wan Lu Sect.

It's because I need to earn Mr. Ming Xuan's trust.

Master.

In my opinion,

Senior Han Guang is after all, a former member of our sect.

Even though he serves Wan Lu Sect today,

he's a man who saves lives.

We shouldn't be mean to him just because of...

Mr. Ming Xuan's words.

Why don't we release him?

We can't release him yet.

Give me 3 more days.

I'll just need 3 more days.

It's getting late. You may go to bed now.

Yes.

I finally perfected it.

You've finally perfected it?

An Si, taste it for me.

Tell me if this is the taste Han Guang likes.

If it's not good enough, I'll make another batch.

-What do you think? -It's good.

This is the taste Chief Gu likes.

That's great.

It's getting late. Han Guang should be back soon.

He's in time to taste it.

Don't you agree?

Yes, I've always hated him.

-Let's drink. -Alright.

More.

-The wine's good. -Right.

Let's eat.

Hey.

Bring me some silver needles and medicated oil.

For a prisoner,

you're pretty demanding.

Come. Let's drink.

Cheers.

Wine will do.

You want some?

This is my drink!
