Original subtitles

Qin Qian Xian is extremely strong.

Yet, he stays aloof.

If the world is peaceful,

he has no reason to give us his blood.

However, if he knows that...

the world has gone chaotic...

and needs the Gold Deity,

even if he doesn't offer to give us his blood,

I'll have ways to force him to agree.

But, after Lu Zhao Yao's death,

Li Chen Lan hasn't been expanding his influence at all.

It's been peaceful for so many years.

If there's chaos,

the cause can only be that new prick, Jiang Wu.

He's not good enough.

Only Li Chen Lan who commands Wan Lu Sect...

can make the Immortal Sects feel threatened.

But Li Chen Lan...

If he doesn't make a move, we'll provoke him.

I heard that Li Chen Lan dotes on Qin Zhi Yan.

He seems to be deeply in love with her.

You mean...

Qin Zhi Yan's blood is useless.

But perhaps, she's still useful to us.

My lady, Young Master Cang Ling is back.

He's going to see master.

-You may leave now. -Yes.

Liu Cang Ling is back?

This boy...

came back at a bad timing.

Episode 17

Let's have a best of 3. You can go first this time.

Big.

Small.

He lost again.

I didn't do anything.

How about a best of 5?

He can replace me.

Me?

All right.

Big.

Small.

Thank you.

You're surprisingly unlucky.

One-one.

We need another game.

What's next?

How about chess?

I agree.

What's going on?

Chief Sima.

We'd like to borrow your chess set.

I don't mind lending you my chess set.

But, you must allow me to spectate.

How could we say no to that?

Join us.

What's going on?

Why is Brother Cang Ling here with Li Chen Lan?

Why did Zhao Yao bring him over?

It's over.

This is bad.

She's too reckless.

This will be a crucial move. You need to think carefully.

If you lose,

you must stop bothering her.

People say that life is like a game of chess.

One wrong move leads to another.

One careless move and the whole game is lost.

Sometimes, the harder you try,

the more hopeless you get.

In life,

we're often helpless.

I thought of myself as a chess player.

But, it turned out that I was merely a pawn.

But still,

there are things I can't let go of.

"Humans are fortune's fools."

That's just an excuse.

It wasn't fate that led you to this.

It was your own choice.

You've lost.

It's getting late. Please return, Young Master Liu.

Master, you said that...

there's no such thing as fate...

and that we always have a choice.

What about you?

Did you come this far...

because of your own choice?

Was fate not a factor?

It was my own choice.

I don't believe in fate.

If fate is real, I won't give in to it.

You're so unfriendly towards fate.

That's why you're so unlucky, master.

I don't need luck.

We haven't had dinner.

Never mind.

I'm kind of sleepy now.

Since I got captured by Jiang Wu,

I somehow became a sleepyhead.

You should go to Gu Han Guang.

I'm just sleepy. That's all.

I shouldn't trouble the genius physician.

Look, master. The moon is so beautiful tonight.

Why don't we...

The weather changed so quickly.

It's a beautiful night indeed.

Let's go to another place to see the moon.

Master, you're a busy person.

-I'm not busy. -I...

Master, is this the Levitation Magic?

What's the matter?

Nothing.

Master, are you in love with me?

The moon is really beautiful here.

The moon is beautiful?

So does he love her or not?

Did he see through our deception?

How are you doing in Jiangzhou City?

It's fun in Jiangzhou City.

Then you may extend your stay.

You can tell me if you've any problem.

Master, with you by my side,

why would I have any problem?

Just say the word and I will help you...

no matter what your problem is.

I went to Mount Chenji in order to avenge my father.

What do you think I want to do?

There is something unusual going on in Jian Xin Sect lately.

I've sent men to investigate.

We'll find out soon.

Thank you, master.

It's so difficult to read Little Ugly Kid's mind.

But never mind. I've no time for that.

I've an advantage now.

I won.

Alright. You won.

-Cheers. Mrs. Qin. -Thank you.

I'm good, right?

I'm good.

Uncle Liu. Father. Mother.

Uncle. Auntie.

Sit down.

We had a match today...

and I won.

Cang Ling definitely went easy on you.

That's not true.

Brother Cang Ling, tell them.

Did you go easy on me?

Zhi Yan has improved a lot.

That's true.

Come. Eat more.

Thank you, father.

Our children have grown up.

Brother Liu.

Is their arranged marriage...

still valid?

Yes. Of course it's valid.

Brother Qin. Mrs. Qin. Cheers.

-Cheers. -Cheers.

Eat.

Come. Let's eat.

-Please go ahead. -Eat.

Zhi Yan!

Let go of me!

Zhi Yan, this is suspicious.

-My father would never... -Shut up!

Your father killed my father right before my eyes!

Why won't anyone trust me?

Zhi Yan.

Calm down, Zhi Yan.

From now on,

we have nothing to do with each other.

Liu Family will be my sworn enemy.

We are as good as this broken bodkin!

Zhi Yan!

Where are you going?

Since no one in the Immortal Sects believes me,

I'll go to Wan Lu Sect...

to train myself,

so that I can avenge my father!

Zhi Yan!

The moon is really beautiful tonight.

But, it's nowhere as wonderful as you, master.

What are you doing?

Demoness.

I think Li Chen Lan really likes you.

What are you saying?

I just tested him.

He really likes you.

He agreed to investigate Jian Xin Sect for you.

Thank you, Demoness.

"What night is this night? My love, my love."

"At last we are alone. How shall we celebrate?"

Enough.

If you've time for poems, why don't you train yourself?

Demoness.

Do you think Brother Chang Ling has left the city?

That's none of your business now.

You only need to remember that...

the two of you have nothing to do with each other anymore.

You're so indecisive and sentimental.

I've no idea what Li Chen Lan likes about you...

apart from your face.

Can you stop bullying me?

I'm so glad.

Why?

You can finally tell that I'm bullying you.

I dare you to bully Li Chen Lan instead.

Stop acting all nice and submissive in front of everyone.

Even if you don't feel embarrassed,

as the person you impersonate, I'm embarrassed.

There's no hurry.

Once I get hold of the Liuhetianyi Sword,

I will look for an opportunity.

You're just in denial.

Can you bring yourself to kill him when you're given the chance?

Why can't I bring myself to kill him?

There's nothing I haven't been through.

I've gone to all dangerous places in the world.

I can do whatever I want.

He stole my Wan Jun Sword...

and took my life back then.

Why can't I kill him?

I won't hesitate to stab him in his heart...

and send him to hell.

I won't even give him a chance to fight back.

I don't know what happened between the two of you back then.

As for Li Chen Lan,

I don't know much about him.

But, don't say that about yourself.

I don't know how crazy you used to be.

But, after all the time we spent together,

I know you're not a heartless demoness.

It's true that you're nasty.

But, each time I asked for your help,

even though you refused at first,

you always helped me in the end.

I'm cowardly and useless.

I'm a burden.

But, you never treat me with contempt or leave me behind.

Demoness.

I believe in you.

You're not a bad person.

They are right about it.

Lu Family from the Mountain of Sealed Evil...

are evil people...

that must be exterminated!

I'm not wrong.

I'm not evil!

For everything I've said and done...

after I left the Mountain of Sealed Evil,

I feel no remorse!

You're wrong!

You've killed the innocent!

You're no man of justice!

You don't see your sins!

Back then,

I was determined to be a good person.

But, no one would listen to me.

Now that I've done all the bad things in the world,

you're telling me that I'm not a bad person?

People from the Immortal Sects are so weird.

-Demoness. -It's late.

I'm going to bed. Go meditate.

Demoness.

Ms. Zhi Yan.

Ms. Zhi Yan.

Yes, Chief Sima?

Forgive me for waking you up.

But, after careful consideration,

I thought I should...

inform you of something.

What is it?

Your friend has been waiting for you outside...

since last night.

Since last night?

It's so cold out there.

Don't go. You'll ruin your revenge.

I'll just check on him.

Girl from the Immortal Sects.

Zhi Yan!

Please go back with me.

The world outside is dangerous.

I'm just worried about you.

I'm fine in Wan Lu Sect.

You don't have to worry.

I won't go back with you.

This is farewell.

Zhi Yan.

Why can't you trust me this once?

We grew up together.

Don't you know what kind of person my father is?

Enough!

You know I won't go back with you!

Stop persuading me!

I know.

I just don't want to give up.

And I don't want to...

I want to be with you.

I won't go back with you.

Sect Leader Li.

I admit that I lost to you last night.

-But Zhi Yan... -Liu Cang Ling.

You've been missing for many days...

and yet, Jian Xin Sect isn't concerned at all.

When you were confined in our underground prison,

your father Liu Wei did not send anyone to rescue you...

and the entire Jian Xin Sect...

left you to your own devices.

Yet, you don't find it suspicious at all.

You're such a foolish young master.

Zhi Yan!

There's been a lot going on lately.

Master is tired.

He's currently ill.

As such, I will take care of all affairs on behalf of him.

Until master recovers,

I'll be troubling all of you.

We are yours to command!

Sister, I haven't seen you for a long time.

What brought you over today?

I came to check my account.

Why? Do you have a lot of money in there?

This place isn't friendly to me at all.

That's why we should do good things.

If we do so, we might be rewarded with special encounters.

-Let me ask you a question. -Go ahead.

Is there something like the Soup of Oblivion here?

What's that?

It's a kind of medicine...

that makes you forget your stupid love.

Who do you want to forget?

It's not for me. I wouldn't have love problems.

It's for another girl.

Here in the Land of Rest, you can find anything at all.

But, if it's not for yourself, it's pointless to buy it.

Things from the Land of Rest...

only work on people that can enter this realm.

Then do you have any idea...

how to comfort heartbroken girls?

Let them drink more hot water.

Or you can take her out for shopping.

-Does that work? -I'm pretty sure it works.

Please enjoy.

Roast meat solves all problems.

If that's not enough to solve the problem,

get some candied fruits.

But, I've no appetite.

You just haven't tried. You'll know once you try it.

Come.

Boss.

Here you go.

Go.

Boss.

I'd like to have 10 chicken feet, 10 beef, 10 pork belly,

10 mutton and 2 pig's trotters.

You've an amazing appetite.

Please sit down.

I do have an amazing appetite.

Rong.

You're still busy?

Are you bored?

Talk to me.

What should we talk about?

Tell me a story.

A story?

Young lady, are you alright?

My kite is stuck on this tree.

It's a memento from my mother.

I'll retrieve it for you.

Here's your kite.

Thank you.

But, you tore your clothes.

Why don't you let me mend it for you?

It's alright.

That won't do.

You retrieved my kite for me.

I'm fast.

I can mend it very quickly.

I'll bring it back to you later.

By the way, what's your name?

Sima Rong.

So,

did Xiao Zhu meet up with Xiao Ma after that?

Of course.

Relationship between two people...

is like these bumps and joints.

They must interact in order to have a bond.

Rong, you're so intelligent.

Who are you people?

We are here to take your lives.

Let's leave, Yue Zhu.

Where are you going, Chief Sima?

Hurry! That way!

Get the work done first.

Let's head to Mount Lingting.

Rong!

Rong!

Liu Wei claimed to be ill...

and let his sister Liu Su Ruo take charge of Jian Xin Sect?

Yes.

Master!

Chief Sima has been abducted!

Abducted?

Jiang Wu from the New Mountain attacked Chief Sima's residence!

Chief Sima is missing!

So, do you feel better now?

No.

Where's your black cloak?

Here.

You're clever this once. Hide yourself.

What about you?

Sima Rong is inside the house. Of course I must save him.

Hide yourself and stay out of my way.

Master.

Are you injured?

I just came back.

Rong.

-Rong! -Yue Zhu!

-Yue Zhu. -Where's Rong?

Who took him away?

I won't allow you to hurt Rong!

Yue Zhu, we're Sima Rong's friends.

We'll rescue him.

Tell us where they went.

Friends?

You'll bring him back?

We'll definitely bring him back.

They said...

they'll wait for him in Mount Lingting.

Stay here and wait for me.

-Take me along. -No!

Stay here. I'll set up a barrier.

Trying to order me around, Little Ugly Kid?

You're too naive.

Take the sword and stay close to me.

Master.

You...

You're not angry with me?

I can't.

He can't?

Forget it.

For the fact that you shared your umbrella with me that day,

I'll spare you this once.

Master.

Don't you think there's something weird about this mountain?

There's not even a single living creature here.

Who in the world abducted Chief Sima? Do you have any idea?

I've no idea yet.

But, he's no friend of ours.

We need to be careful.

Chief Sima left Wan Lu Sect a long time ago.

Why would he have an enemy?

Could it be the survivors of Nan Yue Sect?

No.

Master.

I heard Chief Sima was set up by Nan Yue Sect back then.

But then,

Chief Sima seems to have resigned himself to his fate.

Was it because of a woman?

A woman from Nan Yue Sect called Yue Zhu...

came to seduce Rong.

She planned to assassinate him.

But, she fell in love with him...

and couldn't kill him.
