[Episode 13]

I just showed you the secret chamber and something happened right after.

Of course, I would be suspicious of you. Luckily, Sheng Wu caught Chen Yang.

He owed a gambling debt. Therefore, he tried to steal the pearl from the secret chamber to pay off that debt.

All the evidence fits and he has admitted to it.

I thought that was the end of it.

But because of Sister-in-Law's interference, there seem to be some new suspicious points.

Third Brother, where were you last night?

Where did you go last night? Tell Eldest Brother!

I have nothing to fear!

I went to see Liu Yiyi yesterday at Yongcui Pavilion. We've been friends for many years.

Men have always had multiple wives. Why are you making such a scene in here?

Xia Chunyu, your shameless!

- How can you treat me like this? - Stop it!

Your shameless, I don't want to live anymore.

I'll really divorce you, do you believe it? Let's go!

Wait...

Ye Jinxuan, you knew that if we caught him for last night's incident, he would definitely die.

And yet you still came here to talk about this.

One day as a couple, your relationship lasts forever. Instead, you disregard your marriage

and want your husband dead. That's cold and brutal.

Third Brother, you can't keep this kind of woman, no matter how good she is in business.

Today, I will punish her for you.

Eldest Brother, don't.

Third Brother, you can't be so soft.

You just said.

One day as a couple, the relationship lasts forever. She can be disloyal, but I can't.

Please let me teach her.

Please let her go this time.

You two.

Actually, when you started talking about jealousy when you first came in, I knew what you wanted to say.

I was just testing you

to see if you are heartless enough to frame Third Brother as the spy.

If you had done that, I would have killed you without question.

So, today, it was not him who saved you.

It was you, yourself.

Eldest Brother, why are you doing this again?

Then we will leave now.

Sister-in-Law can go, you stay.

Eldest Brother...

Eldest Brother told you to leave. Hurry and go reflect upon yourself!

Quickly.

Get out now!

All right... I'm leaving.

Eldest Brother.

You can leave us alone.

- Yes. - Yes.

- Why did you lie? - I...

Is it because Sheng Wu has a lot of resentment toward you

and you are afraid when you said it, he would hold a grudge?

Besides I'm really suspicious.

You weighed the pros and cons, and thought the best way was to work with Sister-in-Law to lie to me?

We can hide nothing from you.

Do you know why Sheng Wu is always against you?

It's not only jealousy.

Give me your hands.

See what the difference is?

We have the hands of murderers.

We have blood on our hands.

Your hands... Your hands are too clean.

Kill him. Then we can forget everything that happened here today.

Eldest Brother.

Chen Yang isn't a spy. He just made one mistake.

He can't be the spy!

It is true that he betrayed me.

In Black Wind Fortress, if you betray me, you will die.

Eldest Brother!

Kill him!

Chen Yang.

Eldest Brother, I'm innocent!

Eldest Brother!

Eldest Brother, please spare me.

Eldest Brother!

I'm innocent! I'm innocent!

Eldest Brother, I'm innocent! I'm innocent!

After Bai Chongye took you to the secret room, now something has happened.

Even if we can temporarily fool Sheng Wu, we can't fool Bai Chongye.

I will find an excuse.

Bai Chongye will not rest until he catches the person behind it.

This is the best way.

I can't sacrifice you.

I am just a chess piece

in Prince Yu's game.

So, in this game, I must die

so that we will win.

You are back?

- Why did you drink so much? - Go away!

I know you are angry. I...

Speak...

Tell me everything you wanted to say in front of Eldest Brother.

I didn't say anything.

And I put back that map for you.

If I really wanted to hurt you, I...

You wanted to get me killed?

You think I would die that easy?

How is Chen Yang?

Don't mention his name!

Stupid Donkey, I'm sorry.

I was really scared last night. You never told me anything.

I don't know when you are acting from when you are telling the truth.

If there is something troubling you, just tell me and we can work it out

You tell me.

You tell me what I should tell you.

Who are you?

Then who are you?

Greetings, Your Highness.

Chunyu, you are finally here.

Rest assured, I will make sure Chen Yang's family is taken care of.

He has a family?

According to my knowledge, he has never met his father.

And his mom died from a disease a long time ago.

He has no brother or sister, let alone a wife or children.

You are blaming me?

His death is because of me, I can only blame myself.

Chunyu,

sacrifices must be made to achieve something big.

Don't be so hard on yourself.

I'm not made for doing big things.

Chunyu.

You know better than anyone why I left the Marquis's manor.

I hated the endless mind games,

the betrayals, and all the lying. But in the end,

I'm still living in lies.

You are doing this for me.

If I get the secret letter, will you allow me to leave Black Wind Fortress?

No.

You can leave there right now.

If I knew this would cause you so much pain,

I'd rather it had never started.

It's not just about me. I was afraid you'd be disappointed.

Chunyu, remember, we are best friends.

Chunyu.

Listen, Chen Yang didn't have a family.

But you do, I am your family.

Where is my ring?

I remember putting it right on my bed.

Why is it gone?

Where is it?

Where is it?

You came back at the right time.

Did you see my ring?

I saw it. I have it.

Why did you take my ring? Here, give it back

Is it that important?

Yes, of course. Now, give it back.

If it's that important, I will keep it for you.

What do you mean?

I mean, from now on, you have to behave.

If you do something I don't like,

you will never see your ring again

Believe it or not, I will go turn you in again.

Of course, I know the rules now.

Do you?

You know after what you did that day in front of Eldest Brother,

you have totally lost your reputation.

If something happens to me, you won't be safe either.

Actually, there is another way.

You give the ring back and I will leave Black Wind Fortress,

go to a faraway place, and I will never bother you again.

You think I will trust you again?

Stupid Donkey, be reasonable.

You were the first one to lose faith in me. If you had told me everything from the beginning, I...

I still don't trust you?

Can't you understand everything that I did?

I understand.

Especially that day, when you blocked me.

Don't say anything more. This name, Stupid Donkey, is really great.

It was I who was too stupid. When we were still strangers,

you said that you liked me and wanted to be with me.

I even believed you. Tell me honestly.

You took the ring and said that you wanted to go back. Where are you going back to?

Even if I tell you, you wouldn't believe me.

Stupid Donkey, when you slapped me that day,

touch here. It still hurts. Let's make up, okay?

What should I say to make you understand?

I said that I liked you when I came. I didn't lie to you.

It's because I didn't have that much time.

I can't be so introverted and subtle like you ancient people.

I said that I wanted to leave. It's because I never thought of coming here in the first place.

At first, I definitely wanted to leave. If you hadn't pretended that you couldn't swim,

my ring wouldn't have been damaged. If my ring hadn't been damaged,

I would be at home now.

But I'm not blaming you. It's because I--

What do you want to say?

Because you like me?

Why would someone who likes me want to leave?

What should I say to you?

In my world, being in love, is not everything to a woman.

I like you,

but I still have many other things that I want to do, too.

Since it's already like this,

can't the both of us give it a try?

- Let's give it a try. - Try what?

Try to live together? Try to be a good married couple?

I really wanted to take care of you,

but you are now telling me that everything is not real?

Fine, let's end it now.

So be it then!

Do you think I want to be with you?

It's extremely dangerous to be with you every day!

Return the ring to me.

What do you want?

Eldest Brother.

Third Brother, you are here just in time. Help me in this chess game.

I still don't get it.

All right then.

Beautiful.

Eldest Brother, you are overpraising me.

Chen Yang is dead. Will you still keep your distance from me?

I saw you burning incense paper for him that day.

What's wrong with you? You think I'll suspect you of colluding with him?

No matter what we say about Chen Yang, he was still the Sixth Master of Black Wind Fortress.

As his brothers, we should send him off.

Thank you, Eldest Brother, for your understanding.

You are Sir Fuyi.

Of course, you are soft-hearted. Actually, I need to thank you

for being willing to work with

a merciless lowlife like me.

Although, I'm Sir Fuyi,

I'm now the Third Master of Black Wind Fortress.

Older Brother, we are not that much different. I will never commit this mistake again.

Good.

I have something very important to tell you.

Xinyi Court is starting their business by using water transportation.

If Ding Qi wants to interfere with our salt business, he will enjoy a great natural advantage.

The information we have says

that he has befriended Minister Yan through a middle-man.

Minister Yan?

Are you referring to Yan Zhongtian?

Third Brother, you have a good memory. It is Yan Zhongtian.

Isn't Yan Zhongtian on our side? I even saw you having a good discussion with Minister Liu.

Yang Zhongtian is on our side.

But if one has the money, Minister Yan will also be on their side.

Now the information says he wants 3,000 taels of gold

to buy a salt permit from Minister Yan.

If Ding Qi really steps in, it's going to hurt us.

Every year we pay our tribute to the government, not one penny less. If he's in, we will lose half of the available purchase.

Right. Luckily, nothing is set in stone yet. They are having their first meeting in Wuyang County.

Third Brother, I believe you will stop this from happening. Right?

It permits no delay. I will get right to it.

Wait!

You know that before we caught Chen Yang, I had doubts about you. Right?

I was even certain that spy was you.

I kept asking myself.

If this was really the case, what should I do? Kill you or

let you off?

I couldn't find an answer.

Gladly, Chen Yang showed up. Like the gods heard my thoughts,

to save me from making that decision, to save me from suffering.

If it was the old me, even if Chen Yang died, I would not trust you,

because too many things about you are too suspicious.

Since you don't trust me, why are you telling me all this then?

I don't trust what Ye Jinxuan said.

I don't trust Liu Yiyi.

I didn't trust Chen Yang and I don't trust Sheng Wu.

But I don't know why,

I want to try and trust you.

Today, I've talked too much.

You travel safely.

Thank you very much.

Third Master.

Are you busy?

What are you smiling for, brat?

Let me clean this for you. Why don't you have a bun? Nainai especially made them for you.

Furthermore, Nainai said that it was all her fault. She's sincerely apologizing.

Here. They are all in the all-vegetable style.

Really?

It's really delicious.

- But I have already changed. - Huh?

Third Master, what are you talking about?

Your steamed buns look very fancy. It must have taken a long time, right?

Yes, make the dough, roll the dough, and putting it in the mold, I spent about...

I mean...

Stop pretending. If it were her, I would be worried she was poisoning me.

Third Master, no matter why you fought with Nainai,

you have to make peace eventually.

Couples always make peace shortly after they fight.

You two were so close before.

Song Qi,

prepare one carriage for me and bring some food. We are going on a long journey today.

Where are we going?

You will know once we get there.

Remember that the carriage must be big enough

to fit all our food and luggage. This big.

It's even better if it could fit a person.

Prepare it well. We will be leaving immediately.

Hurry up.

Song Qi!

Third Master, everything is ready.

Are you really not going to say goodbye to Nainai?

No need. In any case, she doesn't want to see me.

Let's go.

Get ready to leave.

Giddy up.

Giddy up.

- This time we are on an important mission, did you check the luggage? - Yes I did.

Then let me ask you this, what did you put in our luggage?

The red case is filled with silver ingots.

Wrong. When we go out, you will not mention our fortune.

I understand.

- What's in the rest of the cases? - The other cases

are filled with changes of clothes. I'm allowed to say that, right?

Yes.Then...

- What about the little brown box? - You put it in yourself, how would I know?

Ah, I see. You are testing me to see if I took a peek?

You are really quite smart.

Let me tell you. The little brown box is not only important to me, it means more to your Nainai.

It matters her life and her possessions.

If it's so important, why did you bring it along?

What if we lose it?

I carry it around so I don't need to worry about those people with ulterior motives.

That's definitely my ring.

It was right to come along with you.

Come, have some baked sweet potatoes.

But Third Master...They say if you eat these, you will fart.

- I'm afraid you will smell my fart. - Then don't eat any.

I will eat this one.

Giddy up.

What was in those baked sweet potatoes?

It just came out of the blue...

And it won't stop...

Manager Shen, would it kill you not to eat them? I must endure.

Enduring is hard. Just keep on enduring it.

Driver, speed up.

- I think we need a breeze. - Yes, sir, I will.

Stupid Donkey, I will endure it a bit longer.

Third Master.

I will help you to unload the chest.

- No need? - Here.

Come, take this money. Buy some wine and rest.

- Thank you, Third Master. - Go on.

Third Master, this is what you wanted. They are all here.

[Government Issued Salt Permit]

You did well.

As per our plan, the middle person has developed a severe illness and can't come now.

Minister Yan will then go to Xinyi Court by himself

and meet with Que Shen. But the latest news is, Minister Yan has brought his wife with him.

For such an important matter, why did he bring his wife?

I heard that Madame Yan is very strict with her husband and insisted on coming.

Heroes always fall for the beauties.

I think she might just be a ferocious woman.

Third Master, why are you staring at me?

I'm too clumsy. If I pretend to be a woman, people will know straight away.

Otherwise, we can go to the whore house and find a woman.

If we want a ferocious woman, there is a much better way.

- Let's go have some cold tea in the town. - Okay.

Oh, my god...

I almost suffocated myself. Stupid donkey, stinky donkey, evil donkey.

Oh, right. My ring, my ring.

This is worth the whole ride.

[Silver bank notes]

I will be on my own from now on, so how can I live without some extra silver.

What are you doing!

That is mine, give it to me! Give it to me!

- Give it back. - Come and grab it!

Give it to me!

It's mine, mine!

Give it to me!

You're too short. You'll never get it.

Nainai!

Why are you here?

She followed us all this way.

You Stupid Donkey! You already knew I was in there. Then why did you torture me?

So what if I did?

And you, why did you fart so much? Would it have killed you to hold it in?

Nainai, I didn't know you...

- You won this time. I'm not going to make a fuss about this. - Ye Jinxuan.

What now?

If you don't want me to throw it away, from now on you'd better listen to what I say.

And after everything is done, you can walk on your own way.

I'm an independent woman, I will listen to you if that helps my goal.

It's only walking like Madame Yan.

Let me think.

A rich lady, right? She will be carrying a bag and wearing sunglasses.

Doesn't look like her.

Why did you do that?

Oh, wrong era.

Doesn't look like her.

That's how they walk on TV!

You've never seen Madame Yan walk, either. Maybe this is how she walks.

I don't need to argue with you.

Okay, okay...

A rich lady right? Rich lady...

I'll squat a little. ("rich" and "squat" are homonyms)

Doesn't look like her!

Doesn't look like her.

Then what looks like her? You show me, then!

You stand still over there first.

Watch carefully.

You are playing a high ranking official's wife. First, is the grace.

Bearing.

Relaxed and calm.

When she walks, it must be noble and natural.

Wait, I didn't see very clearly. Can you walk again?

Practice!

What do you think of this?

No.

How about this one?

That's good.

You sure?

Let me ask you.

What's Madame Yan's family name, where is she from, what's her favorite food?

Her family name is Zhang.

It's Wang...?

From Xiangning County, she likes sweets.

What was the other question?

It's all wrong. Did you even memorize it at all?

Why are you being so mean?

I'm not a spy like you. How can I remember all that?

Besides...

I don't think this will work.

What will then?

Minister Yan listens to Madame Yan, right? I think we can work on this.

Like... "Madame, we need to go. Go divorce

that vixen."

- You're only taking advantage of the situation. - So what?

If you can tease, so can I.

You want to kiss me, right?

I'm telling you, this move is getting really old.

Let me tell you.

When the night falls, the real Minister and Madame Yan will be here.

If anything goes wrong, both of us will be dead, understand?

One dot. I win.

A 13 orphan hand.

South wind.

Who are you?

Nainai, be careful.

Que Shen, is this how you welcome me?

Minister Yan?

- Why didn't you notify us that you were coming early? - How dare you?

Minister Yan can come here anytime he wants. Who are you to question him?

- Your Excellency, don't be angry. - Let's get to business.

I'm still on a mission.

Your Excellency is in such a high position, but surprisingly you don't show it.

Why didn't you bring more servants?

- How dare you? Why do you have so many questions? - Xiao Qi!

Are you so eager to let the world know our business?

- Your Excellency is so cautious. I'm guessing this is Madame. - Stop wasting your breath.

We heard you had a full and round body, how come you've lost so much weight?
