=Dance of the Phoenix=

(Episode 22)

It's Master.

This...

This is...

Old Man Wu.

The Deadly Vessel-rupturing Pill.

What is that?

It is a pill that can improve one's spirit energy

by three times in a short time.

However, after its efficacy disappears,

the user will die of vessel rupture.

You are too silly.

Youdao,

if you don't come round,

nobody can save you.

Young Master.

Young Master, Lord Demon has ordered that

you should not get involved in this.

Youdao.

Stop it.

Stop hurting the innocent people.

Youdao.

Wake up! It is me.

Grandpa.

He has lost his self-consciousness.

We mustn't let him leave this place.

Xuan Yi, the energy barrier!

Hurry!

Where is this place?

It is the back mountain of Junwu Academy.

It is unexpected that this hidden passage

leads to this place.

A girl used to live here.

Could it be Sima Yunniang?

Back then, when the Library caught fire,

she wasn't burned to death.

Then she came here to live in seclusion.

Thus, Old Man Wu said just now that

after the big fire, her dead body wasn't found.

But based on what we see now,

she must have left this place.

Could she have gone somewhere else?

Let's hurry to find her.

We may find some clues.

(Yun)

It is really Yunniang.

Just a moment.

This letter doesn't seem to be left to us.

Under such a circumstance,

why need you care about that?

To Youdao.

I can't hold on any longer.

Oh, that is not good!

Grandpa.

Though I think this academy isn't good,

Feng Wu likes it a lot.

She made great efforts to be admitted to the academy.

If you destroy it like this,

she will feel sad.

Yu Mingye.

Yu Mingye.

Young Master.

Have I arrived too late?

Old Man Wu.

Your Highness.

Old Man Wu.

Stop it!

I have brought the letter that

Yunniang wrote to you.

He is not in his right mind now.

So it is very dangerous to get close to him.

Use the spirit energy

to send it up to him.

Since we parted in that year,

there has never been any news about you

and I have been missing you so much.

So I came to live here in seclusion

to avoid feeling depressed at what I see.

When I recall the past of the four of us,

I couldn't help lamenting our fates.

I hope that you won't harbor bitter resentment

and won't forget your original aspirations.

From Yunniang.

Old Man Wu.

-Yunniang didn't die back then. -Yunniang

She has been waiting for you in the back mountain.

She hoped that you could free yourself from the past.

Yunniang.

Yunniang.

What a pity!

What a pity!

I have come to know this too late.

Over all those years,

I have been missing the chances of seeing you.

I have missed all the chances.

I am afraid that I don't have any chance

to make amends

for what I did wrong.

Hang in there.

I can save you.

Feng Wu,

there isn't enough time.

I am dying.

I know the whereabouts

of the item you are looking for.

Come over.

Have you kept it in your mind?

Feng Wu.

If you...

inherit it,

I,

I will...

set my mind at rest.

Old Man Wu!

Supervisor Wu.

Wake up!

I have the drug.

Don't die!

I have the drug.

I can save you.

Wake up!

I can save you.

Old Man Wu,

wake up.

I can save you.

It is no use.

He is gone.

Old Man Ba.

You have great magic power,

hurry to save him.

This is his wish.

Just let him go in relief and peace.

The three of them will meet in the other world

and they won't be lonely any longer.

In the swapped life,

even if one does one's utmost,

the lost things can't be recovered.

Jun Linyuan.

I want to have a talk with you.

Feng Wu.

I am sorry.

Why did you say sorry to me?

Because actually, I am not Feng Wu.

Feng Wu.

Feng Wu.

Who are you?

You are awake, Feng Wu.

Who is Feng Wu? Where am I?

Where am I?

A voice in my mind keeps telling me that

I don't belong here.

In the end, I may still

go back to where I belong.

I know it is unacceptable to you.

But I don't know why

I have just come here inexplicably

and

fallen in love with you unfathomably.

I know this sounds complex.

It is normal for you to be unable to accept it.

Actually, I also sensed that

you are not the same as you used to be.

I have been persuading myself that

your temperament has changed greatly due to the injury.

But I couldn't lie to myself.

You are no longer the girl I used to know.

It is true that you don't belong here.

Then why did you...

I am happy.

I am happy that you told all this:

your worries,

your unease

and your fear.

I am willing to face all these together with you.

What makes me happier is that

you said you had fallen in love with me just now.

I also fell in love with you.

♪A cicada was enlightened after meditation.♪

No.

I know very well that

I love you

who fooled with me

in the Frozen Forest,

who braved dangers with me

and who kept trying to achieve self-improvement

to fight shoulder to shoulder with me.

What are you doing?

Come on.

Your Majesty.

Swallow it.

The spirit energy inside your body is scattered.

The main reason is that your primordial Qi has been consumed.

The Primordial Qi to the spirit energy as the sun is to the sunflower.

Without the sun, sunflowers can only lower their heads.

I will give you this golden medicinal pill.

It can concentrate your mind and stabilize your breathing.

You only need to have a good rest.

In a few days, the Qi will be condensed in your meridians.

Thus, your spirit energy will be subdued.

Thank you a lot, Miracle Doctor Ba.

Come on, take a seat.

Thank you, Your Majesty.

It has been several years since I met you last time.

It came as a surprise to me that I saw you again today.

Since you have come,

why not stay

and take up teaching in Junwu Academy?

You flattered me, Your Majesty.

I can only make some medicinal pills

and is capable of nothing else.

I can't mislead the disciples here.

So, please hire someone better qualified, Your Majesty.

I came to the capital this time

with the purpose of visiting my old friends.

However,

my old friends have passed away.

I will pay a visit to my disappointing young friend

and then I will go back to the Border City.

I have never heard you have a young friend

in the capital, Doctor Ba.

Could I ask which young talent

has won your friendship?

There is no such a young talent.

My young friend is a girl.

She is Feng Wu, the fifth daughter of the Feng Family.

She and I crossed paths when we were in the Border City.

I gave her some medical guidance.

That's all.

If Your Majesty trust me,

when I leave to travel around later,

you can summon her into the palace

to help nurse your body.

On your birthday,

the girl who danced the sword dance with Linyuan

is Feng Wu, right?

Yes.

Yes.

Good!

Really good!

She is young, but is a senior-rank spiritual practitioner.

Surprisingly, she is also your cross-generation friend.

She is good-looking

and quick-witted.

Doctor Ba.

Could you bring her to the inner court some other day?

I will grant her an audience.

If there is the chance, I will.

That is it.

Please allow me to excuse myself, Your Majesty.

OK. Suit yourself, doctor.

Your Majesty, I am off.

OK.

Your Majesty,

why do you want

to meet Feng Wu?

On that day, I saw that she and Linyuan

performed a sword-dance in great harmony.

Considering that he is still not betrothed,

I came up with the idea...

Your Majesty, you have been in poor health recently.

Let's just take our time

to discuss this matter later.

OK.

OK.

Do you mean that Feng Wu is not her real self now?

How could this be possible?

Zhao Ge.

Why need I lie to you about such a matter?

I came to tell you after I obtained the evidence.

Look!

If what I said is true,

you need to

stay away from her now

in case that she wants to hurt you.

No, she won't do that.

Wu is still Wu.

She is my good friend.

Whether in the past or at present,

she is always a sincere friend to me

and treats me nicely.

Senior Sister,

I don't understand why you said this.

I don't believe.

Senior Sister.

I know you have issues with Feng Wu.

She took your place

and performed with His Highness Jun at the birthday feast of Her Majesty.

But you shouldn't have said this.

It is not proper for you to say this.

Feng Wu.

I just can't resign myself to such an end.

I will make you lose everything.

Old guys.

I came to visit you.

(Wu Youdao's Tomb)

I envy you a lot.

After death,

you are all buried in the same place.

I will go join you some day.

You couldn't pretend not to know me.

Old Man Ba.

Don't be like this.

When people are old,

they tend to think a lot about old friends.

It is a pity that in the end,

Yunniang's dead body wasn't found.

I can only bury her clothes here

to mourn her.

It is really a pity that

from now on,

I can never see my chess mate again.

Thank you for interceding with His Majesty, Spiritual Elder Fang.

Thanks to you, I can bury Old Man Wu,

Dean Ning and Yunniang together.

It is nothing.

No matter what happened,

he is a master of Junwu Academy

and my intimate friend.

Doctor Ba,

how is His Majesty now?

His Majesty has high-level cultivation base

and has taken my medicinal pills to nurse his body.

Now he is quite fine now.

But...

Please be frank with me, Doctor Ba.

It was rumored previously that

someone tried to murder His Majesty,

Is that true?

A maidservant really

mentioned this in her suicide note.

But we are still not sure

who has tried to murder His Majesty specifically.

Once Old Man Wu died,

all blame was shifted to him.

The matter was settled with nothing definite.

I don't think this matter is that simple.

With his strength,

he could take the Deadly Vessel-rupturing Pill

and rush into the Divine Hall after killing Dean Ning.

He needn't have resorted to such poison

that takes a long time to come into play.

I think it is unreasonable.

Feng Wu said the right thing.

She has analyzed this matter with me previously.

I also felt that there is something weird in it.

We can't let our guard down.

Here are the big storms in the capital.

I'd better set out as soon as possible

and return to the Border City.

Feng Wu,

when you are free,

remember to go to the Border City to visit me.

I will wait for you to cook me some delicious dishes.

Grandpa Ba.

I am just kidding.

You have things to attend to.

I will be happy as long as you keep me in your mind.

We will meet again when the time comes.

I will be off now.

Take care.

Goodbye.

I am leaving.

Your Majesty,

it seems that Feng Wu is really

a wicked girl possessed by the evil spirit.

If she is allowed to be together with His Highness Jun,

the whole Junwu Clan

and the whole Qianyuan Continent

may run into danger.

If what she said is true,

Feng Wu

may cause the biggest change to the plan.

Rise to your feet.

You snatched her Phoenix Blood from her.

She didn't know it in the past.

But now she knows it.

Even if you don't kill her,

she will come at you.

I understand that.

However, Crown Prince is protecting her.

And her spirit energy is increasing day by day.

It is not easy to kill her.

Thus, you need greater power.

If you have the power,

the Phoenix Blood will be melted into your body.

Only in this way can you beat Feng Wu.

Lord Demon.

I can ask him to

give you what you want.

You can decide to

accept it or not.

The Star Shard.

So you are awake.

When you should wake up, you didn't.

Why are you out to have a hand in it now?

I wanted you to stand on your own feet.

I didn't expect that

you would find the second piece of Star Shard so soon.

But the course of self-reliance

is tortuous and bumpy.

With Lord Mu's manuscript,

your spirit energy will be increased to a new level.

Now,

I still need to get another piece of Star Shard

and the Phoenix Blood.

It seems that

a greater crisis is coming.

That person

wants you to go over.

I got it.

You prestigious and righteous sects are really hilarious.

Though you label us as the demonic and heterodox cults

and despise us,

you have to resort to our power in the end.

Spirit energy is no more than spirit energy.

Likewise, demonic and heterodox practices

will never change in nature.

These two are totally different.

When you get this power,

can you still tell whether you are evil or good?

Feng Wu.

Huang Li.

Are you waiting for me?

I will leave you two to talk.

Now tell me. What is the matter exactly?

Feng Wu.

Because of my testimony,

you were put in detention room.

I am very sorry.

Just let the bygones be bygones.

I know you didn't do it purposefully.

You might have just mistaken me for someone else.

No. No. No.

I didn't mistake you for anyone else.

To make sure it was you,

I called your name at that time.

You stopped to respond to me.

Feng Wu.

Feng Wu.

Do you mean I...

No.

You mean that another Feng Wu responded to you.

That's why

I was convinced that you were that person!

So it means

somebody disguised herself as me

and let me take the blame for Dean Ning's death.
