=Dance of the Phoenix=

(Episode 19)

I just don't understand.

Zhao Ge betrayed you,

but why do you still protect her?

You shouldn't have persisted in your course.

Now the Celestial Palace's reputation has been damaged.

Innocent people have been afflicted

by unexpected trouble.

I've realized my mistake.

I will handle the affair outside.

Just stay in the detention room

and reflect on yourself for a few days.

Senior Sister.

Senior Sister.

After all these years,

do I still mean less

than her to you?

Zhao Ge.

Don't worry.

Feng Wu has been making every moment count in her swordsmanship training.

We will revenge for you.

If only I had arrived

earlier that day.

What do you think?

My swordsmanship has improved with great speed, right?

You did improve a little,

but you still have many weak points.

You...

You...

Go on.

Why hasten to get out of bed?

You should have a rest to recuperate.

The match between Senior Sister and Wu will start soon.

I want to watch the match.

Your injury is severe.

You can't stay outside for that long a time.

But

Wu has been training day and night.

I really hope

she'll have what she wants.

You should know

that my lack of talent

caused my mother,

the leader of the Celestial Palace,

to place all her hopes

on my Senior Sister.

She demands that Senior Sister win every time.

Senior Sister

has been burdened with my responsibilities.

That's why her life has been so tiring.

Actually,

I'm feeling torn.

So

you have so many worries.

I just chose to run away from the things

I can't change.

I hope Wu will win

because this match means more to her.

So I want to have a look.

I'm sure Feng Wu will win.

How about this?

I will watch the match for you.

Then I will come back and tell you the result.

Alright?

I'm so useless.

My cultivation base is less than desirable.

The food I made was disliked.

Now I can't even cheer for Wu.

That's why you should make greater efforts.

The Zhao Ge I know doesn't

keep beating herself up.

I won't be a burden to you.

I'll get well soon.

The match means a lot to Feng Wu?

But it also means a lot to me.

Feng Wu,

why do you always get

everything I want so easily?

This match

is a communication between two schoolmates.

Remember to stop before causing harm.

Whoever loses the ribbon on her arm

loses the match.

Remember

not to inflict harm.

The match begins now.

A senior-rank spiritual practitioner

ties with a Great Spiritual Master?

What a rare scene.

Nonsense.

The match has just begun.

Senior Sister hasn't unleashed her power yet.

Just wait and see.

Boss Jun.

The swordsmanship looks familiar.

What's going on?

It's Junwu Clan's special swordsmanship.

I wanted to end this match quickly.

But it turns out I underestimated you.

Ice Bird!

She made such a powerful move here.

I didn't expect you

to have restored so much spirit energy.

Feng Wu,

perhaps I shouldn't have treated you lightly.

I should have

ended you once and for all that day.

What's going on?

Phoenix Blood.

Feng Wu.

She has Phoenix Blood.

The result of the match has been determined.

Feng Wu won!

What is this?

It's none of your business.

Feng Wu, what's wrong?

It's her.

She took my Phoenix Blood.

Let go of me

or I won't go easy on you.

You can try.

I have never feared anyone when it comes to fighting.

The Holy Queen has arrived!

You two, stop it now.

What happened?

Your Majesty,

I lost the match due to my failure to master the fighting skills.

I admitted my defeat.

But my classmate still harasses me.

Why?

Your Majesty,

the Phoenix Blood I lost

is in Zuo Qingluan's Ice Bracelet.

Your Majesty, please make a judgment

and let me recover my Phoenix Blood.

So that's what happened.

I think you are mistaken.

I gave Goddess Zuo the Ice Bracelet.

Are you saying that I stole your Phoenix Blood

and gave it to her?

What?

Feng Wu,

I know what happened to you

and I sympathize with you,

but watch your mouth,

it's inappropriate

to slander your schoolmate.

You won this match.

I look forward to the swordsmanship dance of you and Linyuan.

Now you may focus on practicing.

Are you sure you saw Phoenix Blood?

I saw it for real.

Even you don't believe me?

Wu.

Wu.

I didn't go and watch your match.

But I can imagine

how dangerous it must be.

Let them go.

Zhao Ge.

You believe me, right?

I...

I know

Senior Sister has always wanted to surpass you.

But she is not the type of person

who would do such a thing.

Don't be mad at me, Wu.

She is your Senior Sister who grew up with you.

I can understand.

Wu.

Don't be mad.

Boss Jun, what do you think?

What can Jun Linyuan think?

Your Holy Queen said

the Ice Bracelet was a gift from her.

He can't question your Holy Queen, can he?

If I were him,

I would get to the bottom of this

for the girl I love.

Your Boss Jun

has too many burdens.

Your words are sweet.

But I'd like to see you take action.

It's Junwu Clan's business

and has nothing to do with the Darknight Court.

Besides,

it's better to have you do nothing.

This way, a certain person will seek my help

and I will take action then.

Let's get out of here.

Let Feng Wu have a good rest.

Boss Jun...

Boss Jun.

Should we leave

that guy in the room?

I need you to do me a favor.

Just say it.

Something must be wrong.

But my position hinders me from investigating.

So...

You mean Holy Queen Gao...

I don't think Feng Wu would lie on this matter.

I see.

Boss Jun, don't worry.

We'll get to the bottom of this

and find out the truth for you.

Little Feng Wu, don't be sad.

Come on.

I have got you a plaster from the Darknight Court.

It works wonders.

Your wound will be healed instantly.

Boss Jun.

We should get back.

We should focus on finding out the truth.

I was careless for a moment

and lost to Feng Wu

and the right to perform.

I have let you down.

Please punish me.

It's just a swordsmanship dance.

Don't take it to heart.

Let me see.

What?

Now

you're still keeping things from me?

Feng Wu

was a rare cultivation genius

of the younger generation in the capital

until she lost her Phoenix Blood.

A small mistake can lead to grave consequences.

Unfortunately,

not everyone can

absorb Phoenix Blood.

Phoenix Blood is just a still object in certain people's hands.

What do you think?

Your Majesty, I...

The good thing is that

without her Phoenix Blood,

Feng Wu won't be recognized by Junwu Clan

as the Spiritual Princess.

I gave you the Ice Bracelet.

Keep it well.

I know.

Thank you for your consideration.

By the way,

I have told the Academy

to release your Junior Sister.

You must discipline her after you go back.

Don't ruin your future

for a nobody.

Yes.

Thank you for guiding me.

You can leave now.

Goddess Zuo.

Her Majesty told me to give you this thing.

It's a fine pill

that can only be found in Junwu Divine Hall.

Rest well to recuperate.

That's very kind of her.

She cherishes our ties.

I'll thank her face-to-face for my disciple.

Master.

What brought you here?

Holy Queen Gao's birthday is around the corner.

The Celestial Palace ought to celebrate her birthday.

I dropped by to see

if the Holy Queen has abandoned you.

Master.

I was careless during the match.

Next time I will...

There is no next time.

You lost the opportunity. And that's it.

Luckily, the Holy Queen hasn't completely lost faith in you.

The goddess of the Celestial Palace

was born with pride.

How can you hang your head?

I've prepared a birthday present

for you to give the Holy Queen.

As long as she remembers

that she was once a disciple of the Celestial Palace

and has the wish to help you,

you will succeed.

Get yourself together.

Yes, Master.

That was your Phoenix Blood.

I'm not mistaken.

Holy Queen Gao defended her in public.

Nobody would believe me.

Besides, Zuo Qingluan has

much more spirit energy than me.

I can't just snatch Phoenix Blood.

Then try to come up with a solution.

Someone is coming.

I couldn't find you anywhere.

Then I thought you might be here.

I thought you didn't believe me.

I believe in evidence.

But I believe in you more.

Then why did you remain silent?

I need some more time.

After all, I'm suspecting important people and things.

Take any action rashly

and we'll be in a passive position.

We?

What?

Aren't you and I

"we"?

When did I agree to that?

There is no "we".

Alright. Don't think too much.

Appreciate the moon with me.

I know you are troubled.

I'm not.

You don't have to talk about it.

I will be with you.

For how long?

Forever.

Whatever.

The result doesn't matter.

It's enough to appreciate the moon together.

(Junwu Gate)

I'm so excited about the performance

Wu and His Highness Jun will give today.

Miss Zhao Ge,

please watch your manners.

Yi.

Is that your grandfather?

Yes.

His beard is really white.

Zhao Ge,

how is your health?

Why didn't you rest for a few more days?

Feng Wu took good care of me.

Now I have recovered. I'm fine.

Besides,

I don't want to miss

the performance of Wu and His Highness Jun.

Nice.

Look.

I have even brought a pad of paper.

I will draw their

dance postures

and give the pad to Wu.

What do you think, Yi?

You are well-prepared.

The Holy Queen has arrived.

Greetings to you, Your Majesty.

Why is she there?

It looks odd.

My queen, here.

Take a seat.

Take a seat.

The birthday performance will begin soon.

Crown Prince, Feng Wu, please come onto the stage.

Nice.

Good.

I wish you longevity and an unmatched cultivation base, Your Majesty.

I wish you longevity and an unmatched cultivation base, Your Majesty.

Good.

Good.

Your Majesty the Holy Sovereign, Your Majesty the Holy Queen,

Feng Wu and I need to change our costumes back to our usual outfits.

OK. Go now.

Your Majesty.

As it happens,

the female disciple who just performed

helped me give birth to my child

and it's the only reason

that I survived the delivery.

Really?

It seems the female disciple

really is exceptionally talented.

She has great swordsmanship

as well as medical skills.

That's right.

What's more,

do you know

that the female disciple who performed the swordsmanship

is Feng Wu, the next master of the Feng family?

Feng Wu?

The girl engaged

to Linyuan years ago?

Yes.

I came to celebrate Your Majesty's birthday on behalf of the Celestial Palace

with this present.

Legend says

the silk made by mermaids

doesn't become wet (Shi) in water and shines brightly.

Using a homophone,

I wish you all the best (Shi).

Why didn't she use the homophone

to wish the Holy Queen all the troubles (Shi)?

Don't mock Senior Sister.

She just conveyed her good wish.

Good.

Your Majesty,

don't you think this girl

and Linyuan are a good match?

They can be a perfect couple.

Yes, she is good.

My disciple doesn't deserve

your high regard.

I feel flattered.

You are being too modest.

Qingluan stands out

from other young cultivators in the capital.

You taught her well.

Alright.

In that case...

Wait!

I've already found a girl I love.

She is Feng Wu.

Did you say that because you cherish your friendship with her

and don't want her to have trouble finding a husband

after the engagement was canceled?

But everyone saw Miss Feng's elegant demeanor

during today's performance.

It's not difficult for her to find a husband now.

Don't worry about her.

I truly love Feng Wu

and want her as my Spiritual Princess.

Please grant us marriage.

Insolent child!

You are Junwu Clan's next Holy Sovereign.

Your marriage isn't for you to decide.

Take it easy, Your Majesty.

Linyuan is just naive.

We should discuss this matter another day.

No.

I have made up my mind.

Don't make arrangements for me, Your Majesty.

You...

Your Majesty.

I wish I could see you

in armor, looking mighty and powerful.

You will govern Junwu well.

What a shame

that I won't get to see you do that.

Who drew this?

I did.

Feng Wu.

Yes.

Good.

Listen.

If you can recover your Phoenix Blood,

you'll get to become Jun Linyuan's Spiritual Princess.

Thank you, Your Majesty.
