=Dance of the Phoenix=

(Episode 13)

This is Heart-eroding Maze aimed at you.

Lower your head.

You should give up now.

I only want Heavenly Heart Pistil.

I'll leave as long as

I get it.

I'm not consulting with you.

Go now

or stay forever.

Think twice before you speak.

I don't have the time to waste on you.

I only want Heavenly Heart Pistil.

It's my promise.

You employ trickery

and attempt to buy people's support.

How dare you claim to be Peerless Tower?

Ridiculous.

It looks like we won't get on the same page.

Since you want to die,

I won't go easy on you.

Get rid of her quickly.

Shadow Swordsman.

How is your sick daughter doing?

I heard that herbal decoctions are the only things keeping her alive.

Expensive medicines

are sent to her in large amounts.

What do you think the reason is?

If you don't listen to me,

you will not end well.

Cultivators aren't that big a deal.

Everything in this world

can be bought with money.

Tell me which is more important,

your money or your life?

Young Master.

Where is Lord Demon?

I pay respect to you, My Lord.

What brought you to the capital suddenly?

I didn't know you were coming.

You knew I was coming all along.

I have a task

for you.

(Peerless Tower)

It's getting dark and Feng Wu still hasn't come out.

Will she be alright?

Fortune favors Young Lady.

She will be alright.

Yes. Yes.

She will be alright.

The Heart-eroding Maze was powerful.

You need two hours

to recover completely.

Why are you here?

I...

I just dropped by

on my way to another place.

I don't think so.

By the way,

how did you know I was at Peerless Tower?

Did you take this huge risk

to increase your spirit energy?

No.

I came to obtain the cure for my friend Zhao Ge.

You're overthinking it.

Well,

since you rushed here,

I will let what happened last time

pass.

You deserve these things.

Take them.

You went through all the trouble

for these things, didn't you?

(Qinglingsan Score)

What is this?

The only existing copy of the Score.

I don't know music theory.

It's a pity that I have it.

The Heavenly Heart Pistil.

Shadow Swordsman, I'm sorry.

Your daughter

must need this too.

My daughter no longer needs it.

My daughter passed away

half a month ago.

She said the same thing as you.

She said,

"Father,

this is a big world.

Why do you want to

spend a lifetime in this Peerless Tower?"

She didn't tell me

that she poured all the medicines away.

It's okay.

I have decided

to travel around

the Continent

for her.

I hope you will get what you want

in a vast world

and bring new meaning into your life.

Feng Wu.

My Lady.

Are you okay?

Feng Wu.

Mom, I did it.

It's good to see you safe.

Wu, you finally got out.

I was so scared.

Zhao Ge, I obtained the cure.

Thank you, Wu.

Spiritual Elder Fang, are you okay?

Go after him!

Yes.

Who is

that person?

How is your friend?

She has ingested the Heavenly Heart Pistil

and fallen asleep.

Thank you

for what happened today.

You no longer blame me?

I have thought it over.

I was being too extreme.

I know you wanted what's best for me.

You wanted me to improve.

But if we let this stop us

from getting together,

then future hardships...

Stop it.

I should have told you sooner.

I don't care about

matched backgrounds.

I only care about

you.

If you knew I'm not Feng Wu,

would you treat me so well?

Waiter, two jugs of wine for me.

Yes.

I thought the female disciples of Celestial Palace are self-disciplined.

How come you are indulging in wine?

Your wine.

As it happens, I'm feeling blue.

Let's drink together.

It's no fun drinking from small cups.

What could upset

the Young Master of Darknight Court?

You know me?

I have heard a lot about you.

The Goddess of Celestial Palace also has troubles.

You know me?

I know every good fighter

on Qianyuan Continent,

not to mention the fact that

you stand out from the younger generation.

Nice to meet you.

Since you are displeased

and I'm troubled,

let's not bother

each other with questions

and just seek solace in wine.

Alright.

Young Master,

why would you drink wine when you are injured?

It's fine.

Just a small injury.

Too bad there were so many guards.

Slow down.

I failed.

I underestimated the enemy.

Young Master, stop thinking about it.

Let's go back and get you some medicines.

Don't let Lord Demon know about this.

I will find a chance

to try again.

Yes.

Come on.

Slow down.

Slow down.

Zhao Ge.

Open your eyes and look.

I...

I...

How did I...

Wu.

Thank you.

Alright. Don't cry.

If you cry, you won't be a little fatty,

but will be a crybaby.

Alright.

From now on,

nobody will mock you again.

Look at me. Am I beautiful?

Yes.

Good morning, Qiu Ling.

Miss Zhao Ge.

You...

You lost so much weight.

Yeah. Look at me.

How do I look?

You are so pretty.

Qiu Ling.

Go about your work.

I will have a new dress tailored.

The Heavenly Heart Pistil

really worked wonder.

Sixth Young Lady.

Go. Check that place.

Yes.

Have you checked this place?

Don't yell.

If they see us together,

we won't be able to explain our relationship.

You...

What are you doing here?

We just saw a dark figure heading that way.

Did you see?

No.

Liar.

It went in there.

Make way.

What are you doing?

Sixth Young Lady.

What are you doing?

Who says you could come in?

Sixth Young Lady,

this is My Lady's room.

You can't just barge in.

Fifth Young Lady, we are sorry.

A thief has snuck into the mansion. This is our next place to search.

It's only natural to try and catch the thief.

Why can't we take a look here?

I want a thorough search to be carried out.

Don't push your luck.

The thief you are looking for is not here.

Get out.

What?

You want me to throw you out?

You...

You...

Don't assume your success at Peerless Tower

is a big deal.

You show-off.

The higher you climb, the heavier you fall.

Let's go.

Qiu Ling.

Make some food for me.

Come out.

Does Feng Liu always pick on you?

Do you need me to teach her a lesson?

No.

What brought

you here?

I just missed you.

So I came to see you.

Can you please enter the mansion through the front gate next time?

You are the Young Master of Darknight Court, after all.

Don't be a thief

when you can come in.

It's not the first time I've done this.

Just get used to it.

Besides,

if I come in through the front gate,

other people will know

you and I have close contacts.

Other people might say you and Darknight Court...

So what?

I know people will talk,

but

I have a clear conscience.

Besides,

what's so bad about Darknight Court?

There are cultivators at Darknight Court,

such as you, who look a little scary,

but are not rude or ruthless.

And you are not bad.

You just tend to resort to extreme means

and do as you wish.

Yu Mingye.

Do you really approve of

Darknight Court's approach?

I was born there.

I grew up there.

Darknight Court's approach

has seeped into my brain.

Power.

Honor.

Plunder.

I was born with all these traits.

I...

You simply dare not choose

and have no choice.

By the way,

don't think I haven't heard about

the nonsense you told my mother.

The man who will marry the Lady

is you, right?

I didn't hit you that hard.

Are you okay?

I'm fine.

I was playing with you.

You weren't injured yesterday, were you?

I wanted to go there and have a look.

But I suddenly had things to do.

I was alright.

Yesterday was nothing but a scare.

Anyway, thank you for your silk pouch.

By the way,

this is my honorarium for you.

(Qinglingsan Score)

It's the treasure Qinglingsan Score.

Are you really giving it to me?

It's of no use to me.

You can have it

and make the best use of it.

Thanks.

I will take it

and think of it as your birthday gift for me.

Birthday gift?

Today is your birthday?

Nobody has ever

celebrated my birthday.

I have grown used to it.

In the best scenario, I won't kill anyone on my birthday

to celebrate it.

Feng Wu.

I hope

you will celebrate my birthday every year.

Will you?

Err...

Don't think too much.

I didn't mean it that way.

I...

Your maid is coming back.

I need to go.

If you need anything,

leave a message for me at Zhang's noodle stall in the east of the city.

Can you give me a heads-up

the next time you summon me?

You always catch me unprepared.

Where has

that man been?

How do I know?

He carries the spirit essence

of the Star Shard we need.

The Star Shard?

Yes.

The Star Shard is a collection of worldly essences.

Its true form is Junwu Clan's

legendary divine artifact Soul Evocation Lantern.

When the world was thrown into turmoil,

the divine artifact broke into three pieces

which scattered and became lost.

What happened after that?

If you find the three pieces

and collect the worldly essences,

your master will wake up.

Really?

Then

what does it look like?

Where can I find it?

The Star Shard can take the form of anything.

Nobody knows

what its fixed form is.

Some spirit animals can sense a faint trace of the essence.

The man you met with

must have touched the Star Shard recently.

You might as well follow the lead and start investigating.

Yu Mingye.

The Star Shard.

Are you sure it was Yu Mingye?

I'm absolutely sure.

Yesterday,

my grandfather talked to Great Spiritual Master Yan

at Yan's Mansion

and witnessed the whole incident.

My grandfather offered timely help

to ensure he returned empty-handed.

The man

displayed Darknight Court's techniques and style.

And

he was powerful enough

to against my grandfather.

He must be Yu Mingye.

My grandfather believed something strange was going on

and dared not disclose the incident.

He told me to consult you.

Do you know Yu Mingye's motive?

I heard that he was after Water Sky Vase

made by a master craftsman.

The vase is Great Spiritual Master Yan's family heirloom.

It has been stored in his Treasury Building.

Yu Mingye must have been found

the moment he laid his hands on the vase.

So he returned empty-handed.

My grandfather entered the Treasury Building and checked the vase.

He said there was nothing special about the vase

except that it was especially precious and old.

A vase.

Yu Mingye

likes to play music

and pose as a lover of culture.

But he wouldn't risk his life

for a vase.

There must be something wrong

with the whole thing.

Where did he go afterward?

The injured Yu Mingye

still had cards up his sleeve.

The servants of the Yan's Mansion lost track of him.

He just disappeared.

He wants Water Sky Vase

for Wu Youdao.

-Wu Youdao? -Wu Youdao?

That's right.

Wu Youdao.

You mean the Ageless Child,

Wu Youdao?

Wu Youdao is a close friend to Ning Shien.

Ning Shien loves swords.

Wu Youdao loves calligraphic works, paintings and antiques.

He has been looking for Water Sky Vase for many years.

It'd be best to give him the vase

as a gift at our first meeting.

Ning Shien.

Dean Ning of Junwu Academy?

They have known each other for many years.

And their cultivation bases are similarly strong.

But Ning Shien

came from Junwu Clan

while Wu Youdao

never joined any sect

and cultivated without a teacher.

His cultivation base and spirit energy grow in his unique way.

He is admired by numerous civilians and cultivators.

Over the years,

many people have tried to find out

how he grows his cultivation base.

But nobody found out anything.

As far as I know,

the Ageless Child has drifted about and traveled around the world

over the past tens of years.

How are we going to give him

Water Sky Vase?

Junwu Academy has hired him as the Supervisor.

He will return to the capital soon.

So,

you wish to woo Wu Youdao

and make him help us.

If we know how he grows his cultivation base,

Darknight Court will be greatly strengthened

and dominate Qianyuan Continent.

I have failed to complete such an important task.

I'm incompetent.

Please punish me, My Lord.

Forget it.

It wasn't the perfect time

to seize Water Sky Vase anyway.

I will enter Yan's Mansion again

to seize Water Sky Vase.

If a master cultivator like Wu Youdao

serves Darknight Court,

who knows how much trouble will occur.

Boss Jun,

Junwu Academy has hired Wu Youdao already.

Do you think he will change his mind

and associate with a demonic cult like Darknight Court?

People

are the hardest thing to understand,

not to mention Wu Youdao,

a self-taught cultivator.

In that case,

we must not let Yu Mingye succeed.

We must get

the vase.

Wu Youdao will arrive in the capital a few days later.

I'm sure Yu Mingye can't wait for a few days.

Let's split up and take action.

I will visit Yan's Mansion.

One of you

will follow Yu Mingye

and the other one of you

will investigate Wu Youdao's background.

Yes.

Be careful.

Don't damage my stuff.

Where is Yu Mingye?

I just saw him.

Feng Wu.

Why are you here?

I...

Are you following Yu Mingye?

How... how do you know?

Are you doing the same?

He looked suspicious.

So I followed him.

You shouldn't do this. He is not a good guy.

Get away from him.

Stay out of this.

No.

If this is a serious matter,

I want to help.

It has nothing to do with you.

Go home.

I'm not listening to you.

If you don't tell me,

I will go to Xuan Yi.

He has always been reliable.

And

he must know more than you.

No. No. No.

Boss Jun gave us the task.

I can't tell you.

You aren't telling?

Fine.

I will ask Xuan Yi.

By then,

I will tell Jun Linyuan

you lost track of Yu Mingye

I will watch you lose face in front of them.

No. No. No.

I'm telling.

I'm telling you, okay?

Go on.

That's what happened.

You must keep this to yourself.

It turns out

Yu Mingye wants something from the Great Spiritual Master Yan's Mansion.

(Yan's Mansion) Come in. Come in. Come in.

Congratulations. Congratulations.

Lord Lin, come in.

You brought gifts. That's so nice of you.

Lord Zhang, come in. Come in.

Young Master Li, come in. Come in.

Come in.

-Congratulations. -Congratulations.

-Thank you. -Come in.

Congratulations on the birth of your child, Great Spiritual Master Yan.

Come in. Come in.

Forgive us for our poor hospitality service.

-Come in. -Here.

Congratulations, Great Spiritual Master Yan.

Go sit inside.

Senior Sister.

You are...

You are here too.

Zhao Ge.

You are Zhao Ge.

You are back to normal.

I...

The sisters of Celestial Palace,

our master and I are happy for you.

Zhao Ge,

did you come here alone?

I came with Wu.

She has got a stomachache. She will be here soon.

Senior Sister,

let's see the child.

Come on.

So cute.

Come in. Come in.

Madam Ning, you are here.

Come in.

Come in.

I thought you had already regained the energy to receive the guests

right after your delivery.

It turns out the concubine is doing your job.

You...

The legitimate wife hasn't said anything yet.

The concubine should stop messing around.

You...

People might think

she is the child's birth mother.

Master.

Stop it.

-Stay out of it. -Look at the child.

By the way, have you seen Feng Wu?

No.

I owe this to Feng Wu.

If not for her,

I wouldn't have given birth to this child successfully.

Yeah. What a lucky child!

The Fifth Young Lady of the Feng family

has overcome the challenges at Peerless Tower.

She is an extraordinary woman indeed.

Even you, Goddess Zuo of Celestial Palace,

commend Feng Wu.

I'm so happy for her.

Master,

the distinguished guest has arrived and is waiting in the study.

The distinguished guest

wants to see you and Madam Yan.

Got it.

You should get going.

Hey.

What are you doing here?

What about you?

Many distinguished guests are coming and going today.

I need you to guard this place

and stop unauthorized people

from entering this place.

Yes.

Since we have the same goal,

let's work together.

Today's number of guards is much bigger than yesterday's.

It can be a problem.

Don't worry.

I came here

with a solution.

You have graced my humble house

with your presence, Your Highness Jun.

Great Spiritual Master Yan.

Madam Yan.

Long time no see.

Thank you

for helping us that day.

Yeah.

If you hadn't helped us,

we might have lost this child.

Your Highness Jun,

what did you

come for today?

There is a fire! Let's help put out the fire.

Put out the fire! Come on!

Come on!

Hurry!

How did Feng Wu get up the nerve to criticize me?

She went as far as to set a fire.

Colored Phoenix,

is this Water Sky Vase?

Yu Mingye must have

touched this vase.

So I sensed a faint trace

of the Star Shard essence in him.

But somehow,

I'm only sensing a faint trace of the essence in this vase.

You were so fast.

I heard that a thief has visited your mansion recently.

I think something strange is going on.

So I came to inquire about the situation that day.

You think

there is a hidden truth?

Master.

Master, the yard was on fire.

But the fire has been extinguished.

Alright. That's fine.

Don't let it happen again. Go.

Yes.

What happened?

The weather has been dry lately.

The firewood in the yard

somehow caught on fire.

But it's okay. The fire has been extinguished.

No.

-Young Master Feng. -Where is His Highness Jun?

Young Master Feng, His Highness Jun is not here.

He still hasn't come back.

Young Master Feng,

someone sent a letter here,

saying it was an urgent matter of life and death.

The letter must be read by His Highness Jun.

But His Highness Jun hasn't come back yet.

It's okay. Give it to me.

(Come to Shuixiang Street in the east of the city if you want to save Young Lady Feng.)

She might lose her life?

Shuixiang Street.

Crap.

Your Highness Jun,

the Treasury Building is ahead of us.

Great.

We will get caught

for sure.

What should we do?

Nothing seems to be wrong.

Great Spiritual Master Yan,

is this Water Sky Vase

that almost got stolen yesterday?

It doesn't look authentic.

The real one must be stored elsewhere.

You have a keen eye.

Indeed,

this is not the real vase.

How did you know?

Odd.

How come I'm seeing another vase in the secret chamber?

The real vase

must have unusual traits.

I'm sensing a trace

of the essence in this vase.

But the trace is faint.

I guess it must have been stored

with the real vase for a long time.

Water Sky Vase

is a masterpiece, after all.

It's also the treasure that has been passed down in my family.

Of course I can't let it be found easily.

The real vase has been stored in the secret chamber.

Wait.

When was it touched?

Can it be...

Servants.

A thief has entered the Treasury Building.

I think the thief is trapped down there.

Go in there

and catch the thief.

Yes.

Hold on.

Great Spiritual Master Yan,

does the secret chamber

have any other exit?

There is an alternate passage

that leads to the garden.

But the switch

is well hidden.

It's under a purple vase.

The thief won't be able to find it.

We don't yet know

who the thief is

and the thief's goal.

It's not appropriate

to send so many people down there.

After all, the real Water Sky Vase is in there.

Then

do you have any suggestions?

If you help me keep Water Sky Vase,

you will have my gratitude.

You all should wait here.

I will go down there alone

to lower the thief's guard.
