Maid Escort

Episode 14

Yang Xiao, the medicine is ready.

Can I come in?

Yang Xiao.

Decapitate

Gu Shu Yu is the execution supervisor?

What is my master doing there?

I've been begging her for so long.

Zi Jun, don't be upset.

Gu Shu Yu is the officer of Guiyue State.

She has her own reasons.

How about this? Don't go there.

You're not skilled.

You're not skilled.

I want to save Zi Yuan.

Be good, don't make more trouble for us.

Just hide away in a safe place.

Get it?

There is only one chance.

We must be careful.

The criminal, Yue Zi Yuan,

is treacherous, has no conscience,

and is committed a monstrous crime.

For her own interests,

she poisoned the commander of Guiyue State, General Fan, to death

and was caught red-handed.

All the evidence was found at the scene.

The evidence is irrefutable.

The murderer, Yue Zi Yuan will be decapitated in accordance with the law.

The sentence will be carried out in the afternoon.

Decapitate

The execution supervisor is Gu Shu Yu of Guiyue State.

The time is up. It's time for execution.

Command

Decapitate

Decapitate

Prisoner

Zi Yuan.

You must have suffered.

Yang Xiao!

Yang Xiao, are you okay?

Someone barged into the execution ground. Capture them!

Yang Xiao, take Zi Yuan with you.

Leave it to me. Go now!

Brothers, leave now!

Leave now!

Hurry up!

Go after them!

Prisoner

I'm sorry.

I didn’t protect you well.

You fell off the cliff.

As your body was nowhere to be found,

I knew that you're still alive.

Yang Xiao, tell me.

How did you survive the mishap?

After I fell off the cliff,

I lost consciousness.

When I woke up,

I was already at Yinfeng Pavilion.

The mistress of Yinfeng Pavilion rescued me.

When I was recuperating,

I heard that you're going to be decapitated soon.

I rushed there to save you.

Yang Xiao!

Yang Xiao!

Why are you vomiting blood?

Yang Xiao!

Are you okay?

I haven't fully recovered.

I was hit by Gu Shu Yu just now.

It's okay.

As long as I can protect you with my life,

I think it's worth it.

Zi Yuan!

Are you okay?

Yang Xiao, what's wrong?

Chief Zheng.

Yang Xiao is severely injured.

What should we do?

How about this?

Bring him to Qingfeng Camp.

Gu Shu Yu and her people will be here soon.

How about you?

Don't worry, they won't be able to capture me.

Who are you?

How dare you obstruct the government officers from capturing the criminal?

It's none of your business.

Any enemy of Scumbag Fan

is a friend of mine.

Challenge me one on one if you dare.

I'm not afraid of you!

You seem to be skillful.

Why did you barge in the execution ground knowing that it's against the law?

You seem like a loyal person.

Why did you do evil for the bad?

Everyone wants to kill Scumbag Fan.

Instead, you go after

Yue Zi Yuan who is totally innocent.

Why do you hold so much resentment

against General Fan?

The new trade route in Guiyue State was closed for such a long time.

The people have been suffering for a long time.

How do we comfort the people if he's not killed?

You're being ridiculous!

If General Fan hadn't defended them,

the people would have suffered more.

The trade route was closed. Many people died from hunger outside the city.

Many innocent people turned to banditry.

All thanks to your beloved General Fan.

If I didn't take them in,

I'm afraid the bandits would have gone rampant

and caused harm everywhere.

Are you the legendary Zheng Xiu from Qingyue Mountain?

Since you've heard about me,

I'll give you a chance to get to know me better.

I didn't know that you're a woman.

So what if I am a woman?

I'm the officer of Guiyue State.

What a competent female general.

Since we get to know each other in a fight,

we should gather again when fate allows.

Yang Xiao.

Yang Xiao, how do you feel?

You're vomiting blood again.

Are you in pain?

I feel so much better when you're around.

Stop talking.

Rest well.

This medicine is prescribed by

a very skillful medical practitioner hired by Chief Zheng.

I heard that it's effective.

Finish the medicine.

You'll recover soon.

♫ Take the faint moonlight ♫

♫ Let it creep gradually into sorrow ♫

♫ I write about the intense yearning ♫

♫ The bluestone alley in front of my door ♫

Zi Yuan.

If I had to leave you behind,

would you miss me?

What nonsense are you talking about?

No way, you'll be fine.

You'll recover for sure.

I said, what if.

No such thing!

Yang Xiao.

As long as you take the medicine on time,

and rest well,

you'll recover for sure.

Everything will be fine.

I was thinking

when you're fully recovered,

we can continue working on opening up the new trade route.

When we escort goods again in the future,

we will pass by Mount Qilian.

Do you know?

Sunset at Mount Qilian is breathtaking.

When we pass by that place,

we can

sit on top of the escort carriage

and watch the sun goes down slowly.

We would see wild geese flying in the sky too.

Enforce justice on behalf of heaven

Righteousness Hall

Zi Yuan.

Chief Zheng.

Why were you looking for me?

Chief Zheng.

Do you still have any other way to save Yang Xiao?

We have consulted all the medicine practitioners in the mountain.

However, Yang Xiao is badly injured.

I'm afraid...

No!

Since God has sent him back to me,

He won't easily take his life away.

We'll find a way.

Chief Zheng, can you please figure it out?

I can't just stand by and watch Yang Xiao dying.

Chief Zheng!

Perhaps someone can save his life.

Who is that?

Guiyue State

What does that mean? I can't read.

-They're wanted. -It's an arrest warrant.

Miss Bai.

She's an armed escort?

Yue Zi Yuan?

Yes, it's her.

How much is the reward?

Wanted

It's a thousand taels.

Arrest Warrant

Yes, the reward is a thousand taels.

Is it true that Zi Yuan

murdered General Fan?

It's impossible.

Zi Yuan is not that kind of person.

I think there are some hidden stories.

Just by reading an arrest warrant,

we are unable

to make sure what happened.

Miss Bai, I think we should stay in Guiyue State.

It's easier for us to look for Zi Yuan

and find out the cause of death of Yang Xiao.

Medicine King Valley

Miss Yue, have some water.

You've been kneeling for one day and one night.

I'm worried about your health.

Before Physician Duan agrees to save him,

I won't get up.

Miss Yue has been missing for a few days.

Where did she go?

Zi Yuan went to see Physician Duan.

Physician Duan?

Physician Duan has an eccentric character.

People have to pay for a price to get his help.

God knows what Zi Yuan would go through

when she's there.

However, if Physician Duan agrees to help,

it won't be a problem for him to save Yang Xiao.

The love birds are so unfortunate.

Miss Yue took the risk and was wrongly accused of felony

because of Young Master Yang.

Young Master Yang risked his life

to save Miss Yue.

They're equally stubborn.

No one can stop them.

Miss Yue, Physician Yue wants to see you.

Slow down.

Thank you.

Are you Yue Zi Yuan from Shenwei Armed Escorts?

Are you the legendary female armed escort who is known to the world?

Do you know me?

Well,

"The Story of Yang Xiao

and the Female Armed Escort"

is my reading material before I go to bed.

I read it briefly before.

I guess you want to save Yang Xiao. Am I right?

Yes.

He's so fortunate.

Physician Duan, please save Yang Xiao.

He's almost murdered by bad guys

when he's working on the new trade route.

He's a nice guy.

Miss.

Kind people don't live long nowadays.

However, knowing that he's Yang Xiao

makes things easier.

What does that mean?

I know that he's really important to you.

So, I know

what kind of experiment you can do for me.

It's an unspoken rule.

If you want me to save someone,

you have to pay the price.

Zi Yuan.

Zi Yuan.

Young Master, hold on.

Miss Yue promised that she would come back.

She will come back for sure.

Chief Zheng, has Miss Yue come back?

Young Master Yang's condition is deteriorating.

I'm really not sure

if he can survive until Miss Yue comes back.

Miss, what do you think?

Do you like my babies?

Physician Duan, isn't it a little too dangerous?

It's not dangerous at all.

I'm here. Don't worry.

They won't kill you.

Listen.

I've prepared all kinds of antidotes.

Since you have the antidotes,

why do you still want me to try out the poison?

Isn't that unnecessary?

It's different.

There are many types of biting.

Even if you're bitten by the same poisonous snake,

the venom works differently

depending on the duration it stays in the body.

Therefore,

I need to know the symptoms under all circumstances

so that I can prescribe the right medicine.

Can't you

only try looking for the antidote

when someone comes to you for treatment?

I can't do that.

I'm a physician

who has a strong desire to explore.

I need to explore

and dredge information all the time.

As the saying goes, behind every success,

there are always countless failed experiments.

What if I die in the experiment?

Trust me.

With my skills,

you won't die in the experiment.

At worst, you'll become disabled.

You won't die anyway.

Physician Duan, how about this?

After you have successfully cured Yang Xian,

I'll come here to be your specimen.

You...

I won't run away.

It makes no difference if we put off the experiment for now.

Furthermore,

when Yang Xiao is cured,

I'll be in a better mood.

As you know,

when it comes to experiments,

the state of mind of the specimen is very important.

Now, all I could think of is Yang Xiao.

Don't you think

it'll affect the outcome of the experiment?

What you said does make sense.

Well...

Does that mean you're agreeable with it?

Let's go. Hurry up.

Come with me. Let's save Yang Xiao!

Qingfeng Camp

Stop urging.

Physician Duan is here.

Zi Yuan.

Miss Yue, finally you're back.

Physician Duan, hurry up.

Okay.

He can be saved. You guys may leave now.

Why?

Just cure him in our presence. We won't stand in your way.

Yes, we won't say anything.

I'm going to use the ultimate skill passed down by my ancestors,

Needles at The Thirteen Ghost Points, to save him.

I can't show it to anyone. Get out now.

Let's go. Physician Duan made himself clear.

He's confident.

Let's wait outside.

Let's go.

Zi Yuan, Yang Xiao will be fine.

Don't worry.

Miss Yue.

You went to Physician Duan

for Young Master Yang.

You've traveled to places.

It must be exhausting.

You should take a rest.

If there is any development,

I'll inform you in the first instance.

Chief Zheng, please take care of Miss Yue.

Zi Yuan, you look pale.

You should take a rest.

I don't need to rest.

I want to see Yang Xiao with my own eyes.

What happened to your hand?

It's nothing.

What had Physician Duan done to you?

Is there any other wound? Let me see.

Chief Zheng.

Chief Zheng, I'm okay. I'm really okay.

Zi Yuan, I'm your elder.

You must not hide anything from me, okay?

If you refuse to tell me the truth, I'll find it out by myself.

Chief Zheng!

What has Physician Duan done to you?

I know for a fact that

he never trades at a loss.

Tell me.

Hold on.

You must be fooling me, right?

You don't believe in my skills, do you?

That's why you came out with the idea.

If I successfully cured Yang Xiao,

you would try to brush me off!

I have a win-win solution.

Yu'er.

Good.

Here comes the pill.

Miss, this is the pill made from ten thousand types of poisonous bugs.

It will take effect every 24 hours.

The attack will last for two hours every time.

When it comes into effect,

it feels as if ten thousand bugs are eating up your internal organs.

The torment is unbearable.

Take it.

You just have to honour your promise.

I'll cure Yang Xiao

but you have to complete the experiment with me.

When the time comes...

I took a pill made of snake venom.

It's made of normal venom. Nothing bad will happen.

Furthermore, look, I'm all right.

Physician Duan

is not as horrible as you imagine.

It's easy to convince him.

Really?

Yes.

Chief Zheng, I'm really fine.

All right.

I have some medical wine at Qingfeng Camp.

Let's have some wine.

Da Li, Da Bao.

Bring me the wine.

Zi Yuan, good men are always blessed.

Since Physician Duan agrees to save him,

Yang Xiao will be cured.

Physician Duan, watch out for the threshold.

It's okay.

I can't be more thankful for your help.

Righteousness Hall

-Physician Duan. -How is it going?

Is Yang Xiao all right?

He's fine.

As I'm here,

everything is all right.

That's great, Zi Yuan.

Miss, hear me out.

If nothing goes wrong,

he'll wake up by tomorrow.

However, bear it in mind that

in the next 24 hours,

he must not move around. Never let him get out of bed.

Sure.

I traveled so far to save him.

My stomach...

You have to take care of the meal.

Make sure you serve wine and meat.

It's not a big deal.

Food at Qingfeng Camp

will make you forget about everything else.

That's great.

Let's go. Liu Tiao, come and help me out.

Sure.

Miss Yue,

I've cured him.

Don't forget your promise.

The pill will take effect

anytime soon.

Don't forget it.

Wait for me!

Wait for me!

Qingfeng Camp

Where is Yue Zi Yuan?

She might be thanking Physician Duan.

You've recovered

all thanks to Physician Duan

and Miss Yue.

She ran around for you despite her injury.

What? Zi Yuan injured herself?

Young Master Yang,

will you take care of yourself?

Miss Yue will surely come to see you

when she's free.

You have no idea.

She panicked

when something happened to you.

Young Master Yang,

please take care of yourself.

You'll recover soon.

Miss Yue, let's start the experiment.

Don't worry, I'm here.

Here.

Good.

Miss Yue, how do you feel?

Don't hide your response.

Stay real and subjective throughout the experiment.

Yes, that's right.

That's right.

It's quite comforting. I can take it.

That's not right.

Mark it down.

Chief Zheng.

Zi Yuan should not be wrongly accused for the rest of her life.

Please clear her name.

Got it.

I've already tried my best

but I can't get General Fan's post postmortem report.

I know someone can get it for you.

Who is that?

The mistress of Fengya Pavilion, Sikong Mu Yun.

That's right.

Are we done?

Hold on.

Yes.

Yu'er, mark it down!

It's so painful.

Hang in there.

Hang in there.

Hang in there.
