The Love Lasts Two Minds

Episode 13

Tan,

it’s been a while.

Tan.

No one calls me that for a long time.

I just got here in Qinhe.

I heard the Eatery newly opened in Qinhe is hot.

The landlady is good at cooking.

So I arranged my meeting

with Duke Duan in Eatery.

It’s a pity that I didn’t keep the appointment

because my foster father got back.

Otherwise,

I can see you

as soon as I arrive Qinhe.

I’ve left our master for many years,

and you have you own business too.

Meeting or not,

doesn’t matter.

But I never expected that

I can see you again

in that occasion.

You recognized me that night?

Yes.

The night Fu Manqing was killed,

I guessed Xiaoyu’s case is unusual.

So I went to Flower & Moon to investigate.

Just at that time,

I saw you killing Fu Manqing.

If I was right,

the other day when Fu Manqing was talking about

Xiaoyu to Duke Duan in Eatery,

you heard it

and your motive to kill her was ignited.

Honestly,

I know who killed Xiaoyu.

Who?

It was you?

I recognized you when I saw you.

But you ran away while I was in a trance.

[Eatery]

Excuse me,

when did this restaurant close?

I don’t know.

The door was open when I passed by.

Why it closed in a flash?

Thank you.

No problem.

Who hurt you?

It’s her.

[Eatery]

I heard that

because you appeared on the scene

where Fu was murdered later that day,

you were nearly accused of being a murderer.

Are you not afraid that

some straight chancellors

would treat you as a murder

no matter who you are?

I can live with that if they would.

Why you are conducting

this evil act?

You were not like this before.

Life is tough.

I have no options.

Fine,

then tell me,

Duke Duan found his food was poisoned

in Eatery the other day when he met me,

was it you who did it?

And the murders happened in Qinhe,

do you have anything to do with them?

Can I trust you?

If I have other intentions,

I’ll tell on you

when you killed Fu Manqing.

I’m working for some organization,

for a man of great importance.

And there is one person in this organization,

you’ll never think of

who is her.

Xiaoyu from Flower & Moon.

Xiaoyu is your people?

So Princess Shengning and Zhige…

Zhige was bewitched by Xiaoyu

so he killed Princess Shengning.

Xiaoyu bewitched Zhige

to kill the first Princess Shengning

and then put his sheath

beside Constable Yuan to

make Yuan a scapegoat.

If Xiaoyu can put the sheath back to Yuan,

why didn’t she kill Miaozhen by herself,

but through Zhige?

The master is always cautious,

never left a trace.

It would be better if she could frame Yuan Qingli.

If not,

then Zhige is the murderer.

Once he confesses,

the case will be closed.

Duke.

The girl with Zuo Yanxi in Eatery,

that Yuan met

was you?

Exactly.

What’s going on?

Why Yuan is on you?

Seemed Yuan mistook

Mr. Zuo as the murderer

so she rushed inside to catch him.

I was there,

so I reminded Mr. Zuo.

Mr. Zuo didn’t want to tangle with her,

so he left right away,

asking me to draw her away.

Was

Yanxi investigating

Fu Manqing’s case too?

Have you ever looked into Eatery’s owner,

Miss Jiang’s background?

All the neighbors know is

she’s an orphan.

She just arrived Qinhe months ago

to visit relatives but didn’t find them.

So she opened this restaurant for a living.

She’s a kind-hearted woman

and has many regular guests.

People are familiar with her

but none of them knows

where she comes from.

You can keep investigating on Jiang

to check if anyone knows

why she closed Eatery today,

and where she was after.

Eatery is closed?

It was open minutes ago.

Jiang must has something

to do with recent cases.

Yuan suspected her,

that’s why she paid more attention to Eatery.

Where is Yuan?

Where you led her to?

I led her to Shuxin Clinic

and then I hid away.

She should come back soon,

if she didn’t find me.

Oh right,

I don’t know why

she dressed girls’ garment today.

Will she be recognized?

Girls’ garment?

Is Mu Beiyan in the yard today?

I just saw junior Lord He

back in the yard.

He might run across Constable Yuan.

I’ll go check.

So, after Zhige confessed,

Xiaoyu worried

he would tell on her,

so she went to the prison

and killed Zhige.

What about Xiaoyu,

she’s loyal,

why you killed her.

For the unborn baby,

she’s leaving the organization.

To seek for shelter,

she’d like to

tell everything she knows

to the opponent of the master.

So your master asked you to kill her

and frame Mu Beiyan?

As for Fu Manqing,

she must have seen the note

left by the Elder Princess by accident.

So she had to die too.

If I wasn’t there that early,

would you cut off Fu Manqing’s little finger?

You’re smart, brother.

I can hide nothing from you.

You shouldn’t be involved in this.

It’s too late.

If you showed up earlier,

everything could be different now.

No.

It’s not late.

Tell me,

who’s the master you’re talking about?

I’ll try to extricate you.

Don’t push me, brother.

Are you gonna keep doing things for him?

Now you’re only wanted by the Yamen,

next time His Majesty will look for you himself,

what would you do then?

If I dare betray my master,

I’ll be dead like Xiaoyu.

I’m not afraid of death,

but my father…

Trust me,

I’ll help you.

Of course I trust you,

but I’ve never been myself

my whole life.

No matter what,

it’s a destiny that we can see each other again

after so many years.

I’ll try my best to protect you.

Do you remember the other year,

your broke your jade head hairpin,

and was sad for a long time.

And last year,

I found a similar jade,

so I had it carved according to my memory.

You can have it

and never cry for it again.

Brother.

Lord junior.

Lord Ye, you…

Keep it down.

Don’t let others hear it.

Yuan?

Yuan…

Why is that woman here?

You mean that girl?

She’s here for Mr. Zuo.

But Mr. Zuo is not here.

So I asked her to wait in the hall.

This is for that girl?

Exactly.

Treat a valued guest with this cheap tea?

Is this tea

cheap?

Wait here.

I’ll make a good one.

Remember,

don’t go in until I come back.

What are you looking for?

This.

She kept denying

that she is not Qingli,

and she’s a man.

Now she’s wearing a woman’s dress,

I’ll ask her,

she’s a boy or girl,

will she still deny that she’s my fiancée.

Got it.

You like her?

You want her to admit it

so you can marry her as soon as possible?

That’s not true!

I just don’t want to see her

playing dumb all the time.

The zombie powder was made by a master.

You can’t move an inch

after taking it for one hour.

But you can still talk.

At that time,

she won't be free if she still doesn’t admit that.

Take it.

I’ll get some water.

If you like her then you gotta make things done.

It’s simple.

[Zombie powder, Love potion]

Here.

[Zombie powder]

[Love potion]

Have some tea.

Xin,

Dr. Zuo is still not back?

No.

Do you want me to check in the front yard?

Or have someone to look for him?

Okay, please.

[Shuxin Clinic]

Why it’s so hot here?

The tea…

It must be Mu Beiyan that jerk.

Bloody hell.

Lord junior,

what’s in the tea?

Something good.

Just teasing her.

Lord junior,

if Mr. Zuo finds out about that,

he’ll beat me dead.

Doesn’t matter.

I’m close to Miss Yuan.

It’s no big deal.

Okay,

you can leave now.

I got this.

Zuo Yanxi won’t blame you for this.

It doesn’t make sense.

She shouldn’t have moved now.

Miss Yuan,

you’re our valued guest,

why leave now since you just got here?

Lord junior He,

I won’t blame you for your malicious act,

please don’t ever

look for trouble again.

I’m not myself today,

I can’t control my sword now.

If I hurt you by accident,

I don’t think your father can

redress an injustice for you before His Majesty.

Don’t be mad.

I’m here only to talk with you.

By treating me this tea?

Before

I took you as a good person,

never thought,

you’re such a

shameless jackass.

Why you are like this?

Isn’t that

the drug got bad,

how about you come with me to my room,

I’ll give you the antidote.

You jerk.

Sir,

you’re finally back.

Hurry,

it seems Lord junior

poisoned your guest.

What?

I just want to give you the antidote, that’s all.

The antidote may not be effective,

but it will definitely make some help.

I don’t believe you,

you jackass.

Miss Yuan,

Beiyan has no bad will,

please forgive him for this.

Here’s Lord He’s place.

If you hurt him,

no one can be responsible for that.

Qingli,

please don’t do that.

Who knows how reckless and unruly you will be

if I let you go today,

you jackass.

How dare you play those dirty tricks

on me.

You’re outrageous.

What dirty tricks?

I’m just teasing you.

You know

what you’ve done.

Father sent someone here.

Lord junior,

the Lord asked you to meet him immediately.

Someone mouthy

told father about this?

Is that you?

No.

What happened?

I don’t know.

But,

Lord seems not happy.

You’d better hurry back.

Is it your work?

Or what?

Watching you fall out and

become enemies with Miss Yuan?

I was just playing with her.

I just gave her some zombie powder.

Who knows

she was acting like a maniac.

You think she acted like that

because of zombie powder?

Not zombie powder?

No matter what I gave to her,

it’s none of your business.

I don’t want to get involved.

But if you hurt Miss Yuan,

Mrs. Yuan will not let you get away with it.

You’re putting father in a dilemma

if he wants to protect you.

But if you’re hurt by Miss Yuan,

father would be sad too.

Yanxi

you’re so smart and obedient,

people might think

you’re father’s

natural son.

Sorry.

You’re raised in affluence,

not willing to

think for the others.

But once you get married

and become a father yourself,

you will probably understand

father’s care and thought for you.

Enough.

You’re just several months older than me,

but you talk like my mother.

Are you not tired?

If to get married and have children,

you’re not in hurry,

why should I?

Don’t you tell what happened today to Lord.

He is in bad mood recently.

Don’t bother him anymore.

Yes, Sir.

I just put zombie powder in it,

why she became like that?

What’s going on?

Show yourself.

Lord Ye.

Tell me,

you did this, didn’t you?

I did it for your good.

I want to do something for you.

What you’ve done?

I… I did nothing.

I just changed zombie powder

to

Love potion.

What?

I wanna kill you now.

Sorry.

You’re too daring.

You’re dead.

Don’t run.

Stop.

Don’t hide.

I’m sorry.

I won’t do it again.

- Keep running. - I’m sorry.

You’re dead.

Don’t.

Miss.

Piss off.

Piss off.

What are you doing?

Miss.

Are you all right?

Piss off.

What the hell.

Mu Beiyan,

I’m not done with you.

Go away.

Yuan,

it’s me.

Jing Zhiwan.

Yuan,

how are you feeling?

Jing Zhiwan.

I’m not feeling well.

Who poisoned you?

Mu Beiyan.

Too late to get you back to Yamen.

Have a rest in this inn.

Yuan,

have some water.

Yuan.

Yuan, don’t be like that.

Calm down.

Yuan.

Your water, sir.

I saw nothing.

You keep it going.

The drug will be effective for a while.

Hold on a second.

Why?

You said,

we used to be together.

You said,

there is no part of my body

you haven’t seen before.

No.

I saw you growing up,

of course I saw you when you were little.

What are you thinking about?

Yuan.

I don’t want this.

Come.

Slowly.

Have a rest here.

I’ll go find Lu to look after you.

I don’t want Lu.

I want you.

She’s poisoned,

but I’m not.

Haven’t I already decided

to let her go back to her current life?

But now,

Is it her who doesn’t forget it

or me who can’t help it but

getting close to her again and again.

[Care Center]

Sir,

Mr. Jing is here.

I was

expecting you.

Because you know what Mu Beiyan did.

This drug can get her calmed.

Feed her,

it will make her feel better.

Beiyan is mischievous,

he still takes Yuan

as Yuan Qingli who used to

play with him.

He has no limits.

But he has no bad intentions.

If he knows

Yuan has become

a totally different girl.

He would never be so rude.

I understand.

If she’s back to Yuan Qingli,

then what Yuan Qingli had done before

would be counted on her.

But,

her engagement with Beiyan,

is quite reasonable for me.

Beiyan is not a bad person,

he will take care of Yuan Qingli.

His family and personality

are good too.

I know you don’t want to hear this.

I heard you went to Eatery today,

and were run across by Yuan.

So she misunderstood you.

Yes.

I’ve been worrying about Fu Manqing’s case,

so I went to investigate around Flower & Moon.

As soon as I got there

to inquiry the waiter,

then Han came over

and told me

Yuan was after me again.

You’re afraid Yuan look for trouble,

so you left with Han hurriedly.

And asked Han to lead her away.

I never expected that

after chasing Han,

Yuan would run to the clinic

to have this affair with Beiyan.

Do you know,

right after you left,

the Eatery closed.

Both the owner Jiang and the waiter

got lost.

How could it be?

Based on those clues,

and the information you have,

and Jiang’s missing,

it’s easy to conclude,

Jiang is probably

the murderer who killed Xiaoyu

and Fu Manqing.

Um…

Am I too careless

so the murderer ran away?

Just a coincidence.

Not your fault.

I’ll ask Li Fei

to arrest Jiang in town.

I’ll arrange people

to help search her too.

This poison is so strong.

She’s totally wet.

Waiter.

What do you need, sir?

Go to your landlady

and get some clean clothes

for the girl in my room

and help her get changed.

Okay.

Hya!

Hya!

Hya!

Who are you?

Do you know

I work for Lord He?

That’s right.

Lu.

Lu.

You awake, my lady.

When did I get back?

I remember I was after someone yesterday

to Shuxin Clinic,

why I’m sleeping here?

Seems

I had some strange dreams.

Do I have to

take some meditation medicine?

I dreamt a lot recently.

My lady,

are you sure it’s a dream?

Not dream?

Yesterday,

I was with Jing Zhiwan and we…

I don’t want Lu.

Oh God.

My lady?

No, no.

I won’t do anything like that

even if I’m unconscious.

It’s a dream.

It must be a dream.

You still take it a dream?

Mr. Jing

was very gentle to you

when he sent you back.

Was he?

Yeah.

He looks great when he’s being gentle.

My clothes,

are not what I wore yesterday.

It was Mr. Jing

who thought you might be uncomfortable

so he helped you get changed.

Oh my God.

What…

What hell is all this?

It’s a good thing, my lady.

Look,

Mr. Jing’s attitude towards you

has totally changed.

You have no past memories,

but you still got charm.

You see,

you’ve just met,

but he’s very concerned about you.

How nice is that.

But I,

I don’t remember anything.

It’s okay.

Mr. Jing will help you

recollect the memories again.

I just wanted to buy some suture kit

to make a pouch.

And you will keep it going.

It will be a token of affection between you two.

If you’re married,

it will be your souvenir to be properly kept.

My lord.

Aunt,

you don’t have to.

They said you’re healed,

almost recovered,

why you still look so gaunt.

Don’t worry, aunt.

I’m feeling much better.

But you don’t look like better.

I thought I would never worry for you

since you’re an affluent Duke Duan in Yong State

where there are many good doctors

and medicines.

But you,

you came to Qinhe,

this poor small place as an inferior officer.

Aunt.

The situation is complicated in Qinhe.

I come here

for specific reasons.

What reasons?

Are you here,

because of that constable

who looks exactly like Feng Mianwan?

My foster father told you this?

You insisted to come back to Yong State.

Especially when he knows you’re in Qinhe,

how could he be relieved.

Of course he would inquire about this.

Tell me the truth,

is that constable

Feng Mianwan?

Aunt,

it’s not what you think.

Don’t fool me.

I’ve looked it up

before I got here.

That Constable Yuan always

dresses like a boy,

but everyone knows

she’s a girl.

Just because she’s

under the protection of the magistrate,

everyone is playing ignorant.

Turns out,

she’s not married to Ji State,

but came here in Yong State.

You arranged this, didn’t you?

She is a constable,

and you’re the officer.

She’s recovered and forgot the pain,

but what about you?

Aunt,

father sent you here

just to say those words?

I said it at my own will.

Everyone is thinking for you,

but you,

all you

care about is

Feng Mianwan.

Have you forgotten what she had done to you?

Aunt,

she lost her memories because of me.

She’s forgot who she was

in the palace.

Now she’s only

Yuan Qingli.

Yuan Qingli.

You think you removed her past memories

so she can let you scribble on it again?

You think she’s kind-hearted

so she spared your life?

Aunt,

I’ve been thinking about this

for quite a long time.

I think

Feng Mianwan is not the one who broke my legs.

Anyway,

it’s past.

My lord,

do you have limits

on the connivance of her.

Zhiwan!
