Oh My General

General has irregular periods.

I'm afraid...

She has already lost her fertility.

What!

Such unfilial and irreverent daughter-in-law!

Just divorce her!

Don't be angry, mother-in-law.

Lord Qi used poison to make you dumb.

Now collaborates with Western Xia.

He is of great flagrance.

And the enemy of our Song.

You take the hanky and run away to

Lord Nanping's house in capital Dojing.

Find Lord Nanping and give the hanky to general Ye Zhao.

As the mistress,

You should consider about offspring prosperity.

Put overall interests at the first.

Zhao was in good health before.

Since her marrying me,

She's been weaker than before.

Must be my fault.

Xian.

What are you doing!

Xian, I love you.

No.

Xian, just be my lady.

Xian!

I'd rather death.

Xian!

How about your general's health recently?

She is severely ill and vomits blood.

Oh my god! Blood!

Episode 41

How about your general's health recently?

She is severely ill and vomits blood.

Maybe the previous disease broke out.

I don't know if she has taken wrong medicine.

She seems terrible.

Medicine is used to cure illness.

How could it be that?

All her medicine these months were decocted by me.

But she is getting worse and worse.

I wanna know...

Sis Jiyu.

The conception prescription you gave to me...

Any taboos about it?

How could the Conception Prescription have any taboo?

But

duke hasn't slept with you for months. No matter how good it is,

it can't give you a kid without intercourse, right?

What worries me is my general.

Did you give the Conception Prescription

to your general to show your loyalty?

You're really a virtuous concubine.

What illness could the Conception Prescription bring?

They keep hinting each other.

It seems that they're making some deal.

Did you give your general some other prescriptions?

Sis Jiyu.

I wonder

whether that Contraception Prescription is toxic.

What, Contraception Prescription, Conception Prescription.

You make me so confused!

What I gave you is Conception Prescription,

not some Contraception Prescription.

Contraception medicine?

When I was in the brothel,

the bawd forced us to take that kind of medicine.

I'm just being curious.

I wonder the Contraception Prescription...

What's up?

A few ladies told me that you two were here.

I was gonna give you some cakes.

But I didn't expect that

two smelly bugs fell down on my cakes all of a sudden.

Those two bad guys.

Wasted my cakes.

I think the bugs also like your cakes.

So they scrambled for some.

Yes.

Mrs. Hai, Mrs. Jiyu.

My general is ill.

I gotta leave first.

General Ye is ill?

What's wrong with her?

We don't know what made her ill.

Probably it's an old illness caused by

fighting in the battlefield.

Since you have a patient back home,

you shall leave first.

Come again when you're free.

This tastes really good.

Lie down. Lie down.

Xia.

Get a chair for Mrs. Hai.

Yes, my lady.

Lie down, general Ye.

General, you're always robust.

Why did you suddenly fall ill?

My husband told me to bring

this one-hundred-year-old ginseng

to help your recuperation.

Thanks for minister Hai's concern.

Xia.

Put the gift away.

Yes, my lady.

General, may I ask

what's your illness?

I just feel chest congestion, no strength.

Pant and spitting blood.

Even the imperial doctor couldn't find the reason.

During this period of time,

what kind of prescribed medicine did you take?

How about you try some other prescription?

I've tried many prescriptions.

But none of them worked.

General, are you anxious to have kids

with duke Nanping?

I'm not.

But mother-in-law wants a grandson.

To fulfill her wish,

I did want to have a kid.

Actually it's easy to be pregnant.

You and duke are both healthy.

Bearing a kid in one year or two shouldn't be a problem.

As for your recuperation,

I gotta remind you of something, general.

In the past, you fought in the battlefield.

Lived and ate together with the soldiers.

Didn't use any tonic medicine.

But weren't you healthy still?

Now,

you've become duke's wife.

You have fine food every day.

But why do you get weaker and weaker?

In my opinion.

You should throw away those tonics and prescriptions!

I haven't heard such straightforward advice for so long.

Yes, throw them away.

Xia.

Leave us.

Yes, my lady.

General Ye.

There's something

that I think you should know.

In fact, Mrs. Yang...

Yujin.

Why is today's medicine still not here?

Xia.

Go urge them.

By the way, tell Mrs. Yang

to make a bottle of rose tea for us.

Yes, my lord.

Let's go.

Come.

Let's go.

Mrs. Yang.

Is general's medicine ready?

Let me go check it.

Right.

My lord also wants a bottle of rose tea.

I got it.

After you're done,

I'll come to fetch it.

Okay.

Vile wretch!

I gotta slap you to death!

Mrs. Yang?

Pretending!

Mrs. Yang...

Mrs. Yang!

Yujin.

Go take a look.

Is she alright?

She's dead.

In her hands...

There's some medicine.

You ignorant woman.

How dare you damage my plan?

I meant to help you.

Help me?

You almost got me killed!

You're so ignorant.

If my guard didn't

do something to Mrs. Yang's food,

today we would be dead for sure!

Mrs. Yang used this medicine against me before she died.

Wang, take a look.

Is it a contraception medicine?

What is it?

Not a contraception medicine?

What is it?

This is a slow poison that causes cardiac failure.

Six years ago.

After you got stabbed

by a masked man's poisonous dagger in Bailu Town,

I couldn't turn around your injury.

Felt so shameful.

Since then,

I started to study toxicities and antidotes

of various poisons.

That vile wretch!

How dare she poison Zhao?!

Yujin.

No wonder lately

I always feel chest congestion, pant, no power and spitting blood.

General.

How long since such symptoms appeared?

Over two months.

Luckily, general is strong.

Resists poison better than anyone else does.

If it were someone else,

she would be dead already!

If taking this poison every day,

one will have a severer illness.

And die in one month!

My god.

Such a great danger threatened general every day.

But I failed to realize it.

I don't deserve to be general's close guard!

It's not your fault.

I didn't expect she was so vicious.

Mrs. Yang looked careful and considerate in everything.

But actually she had such a sinister mind!

She should be cut into pieces!

Military Doctor Wang.

Please check upon general, see if she's okay.

The poison goes to your heart.

And it's been a long time.

Your condition now is as weak as a centenarian.

During the treatment, don't get tired.

Don't use Kungfu.

Or you'll probably lose your life.

The treatment is also a long process.

How long is it gonna take?

It's hard to say.

General.

You gotta be ready mentally.

I'm afraid you have to

take detox medicine in the coming half a year.

Besides.

The antidote differs from other curative medicines.

Allows no mistake.

Therefore...

I have to make a request.

General, you gotta do me the favor.

Shoot.

The medicine for you will be prepared by myself.

And delivered to you.

General, please...

Name a particular person to decoct it.

Wang, don't worry.

I'll decoct the medicine in person!

Okay.

Zhao's body

can't afford any mishaps any more.

Yujin.

I'm not that delicate.

Stop pushing yourself.

Now you must listen to me.

Good. Good.

With my lord looking after general carefully,

I believe general will get recovered soon.

General. My lord. Consort dowager and consort are here.

Mom.

Mother is here.

How is Zhao now?

I'm here to check upon her.

Mother, sit.

I...

I heard it from your sis-in-law.

Mrs. Yang...

Mrs. Yang was...

Too vicious.

I was wrong and blind.

Because I kept...

Such a heinous villain.

Don't cry, mom.

I'm okay.

I just...

have to take some medicine now.

I'll be alright soon.

Don't cry.

Mom.

In the future, don't over think for me and Zhao.

Just bring us some good food and stuff.

Yujin is right.

In the future, we should

live a happy family life together.

Don't let those vile people sow dissension among us.

My son.

It's my fault.

It's all my fault.

It's okay, mother.

I've told you many times, Mute!

You can't get in!

How could you get in duke mansion as you wish?!

Stop him!

Leave!

Stop him!

Hurry, leave!

Stop him! You better leave! Hurry, leave!

What's going on? What are you doing?

-What's up? -Just leave.

My lord. General.

He's a crazy mute.

I can't get things across to him.

He's stayed outside our gate for days.

I've tried all means.

I gave him food.

But... But he refused to leave.

So...

So we're driving him away now.

Never mind.

He's so pitiful.

I guess it's cold now.

So he's here to get warm.

Give him some silver. Send him away.

Okay.

What are you doing?

What are you doing, Mute? Come back!

What are you doing?

-Mute! -Wait!

You're Little Sparrow?

Little Sparrow?

How did you end up like this?

Lord Qi colludes with Western Xia to rebel.

It's cousin Xiyin's.

If you see this handkerchief,

you shall know I miss you.

Lord Qi colludes with

Western Xia to rebel.

What kind of person lord Qi is?

He's his majesty's half-blooded brother.

Although he opens a casino to make money in private,

he's kinda loyal to his majesty.

How could such a man

think of rebelling?

Lord Qi is very prestigious in the court.

It's really incredible to say that he wants to rebel.

However. Lu Zhenting joined and sponsored the rebellion in Huizhou.

Is Lord Qi

the manipulator who stood behind all of that?

But rebellion is a felony that costs family's lives.

Why does he have to take the risk?

Just based on a handkerchief,

a mute,

how could we know the thing is true?

What if it's our enemy's plan to frame him?

But you've saved Little Sparrow's entire family.

He wouldn't lie to you.

It's been a long time since he left the capital.

That brat

had made a lot of troubles for Gao.

When he was missing,

what people he contacted,

whether he went strayed,

what kind of conspiracy behind him,

we have no idea.

Only me, my cousin

and Hu Qing know this handkerchief.

The writing looks illegible.

Apparently she wrote it at a desperate moment.

I believe,

this is a secret letter cousin sent out at the risk of her life.

In the world, I think

the one hates me the most is only Liu Xiyin.

If I deliver this handkerchief to his majesty rashly,

but his majesty finds it's not true,

I will have cheated his majesty!

I'm gonna be beheaded!

In this way.

Your cousin will hide up in the dark,

watching me be flogged and beheaded!

Then she'll applaud for the thrill.

And come back to occupy you!

Even if my cousin wants to take revenge on you,

she won't make use of state affairs.

If Western Xia invades,

my uncle Liu Tiantuo will be the first to be threatened and suffer!

My cousin knows how huge the thing is.

And you don't underestimate her integrity.

A burnt child dreads the fire.

Everything related to your cousin

looks questionable to me.

But Lord Qi's fief lies in Jiangbei Province.

Your cousin lives in city Yongguan.

They two have no connections.

How could the rebellion

proceed so carelessly that even your cousin found it?

That everyone in the world should know it?

What you said makes sense.

But I wrote a lot of letters to my cousin before.

She never wrote me back.

What?!

You kept writing to her behind my back?!

To apologize. Don't get me wrong.

Get to the point.

Anyway, if I were Lord Qi,

I wouldn't be so stupid

to let a vixen know the rebellion.

Is the rebellion

as easy as walking on the street?

Have you ever thought of that.

Perhaps Lord Qi

doesn't know cousin's real identity.

Little Sparrow wouldn't lie to you.

We helped him against Lu Zhenting.

When we caught the man who murdered master Li,

he testified for you

to clear your name.

You told him,

you're gonna keep him for a life.

You also included him in our mansion.

He couldn't be more grateful for you.

Why would he betray you?

But he left still.

Said he gotta find his birth parents.

He left to look for his dad.

On the way there,

he bumped into my cousin.

Forget it.

Ask him and we'll know what happened!

Yes.

So silly. Let's go.

Let's go.

WANGYUE PAVILION

Are you full?

After you left this mansion,

did you find your dad?

Little Sparrow.

What kind of person

gave you this handkerchief?

Man or woman?

A woman?

With long hair?

What does she look like, then?

Looks pretty?

Prettier than my lord?

Her figure...

Is her body as soft as willow?

Eyes like grapes.

And mouth like a cherry?

Yujin.

His description shows

this handkerchief

must have been sent here by cousin.

She must be in danger.

Has fallen into other people's hands.

Here we are.

Please.

Crown prince, welcome back to the palace.

Alright, leave us.

Yes.

Xian, what do you think of this place?

Although Western Xia is less prosperous than Song,

it's also a fertile land.

With well-developed animal husbandry.

Between high sky and vast soil, people sing and dance all the time.

Life here is very open.

Each place has its own way of supporting its inhabitants.

Buildings in Capital Xingqing are so high and imposing.

Xian, living in here for more days,

you'll know everything in Capital Xingqing.

We have an enormous palace, building complex.

Right.

I heard

there're also royal temples

and your king's summer resort palace.

My lord, can you show me around over there?

Of course.

We also have military barracks,

warehouses,

folk residences,

a royal school and a national school.

A lot of things.

The capital functions

like the one in your Song.

Xian, stay here longer.

I'll show you around one by one.

Thank you, my lord.

Xian.

My name is Haerdun.

Not"my lord".

Yes, Haerdun.

Just seeing you like this,

I feel so satisfied.

I really want to hold you in my arms.

But I've promised you, Miss Xian.

I will respect you.

May I ask, Haerdun,

can I go take a bath and change?

Of course you can.

Maids.

Take Miss Xian to take a bath and change.

Help her wear Western Xia's clothes.

I just came here.

Not used to it.

Can I just wear my clothes for a while?

My lord, please...

Haerdun, please permit.

No need to ask for my permission, Miss Xian.

Just do it as you like.

Thank you, Haerdun.

Go ahead.

Duke Nanping asks to see your majesty.

Let him in.

Royal uncle.

I'm here today

to report an important thing.

This thing may sound too shocking.

Royal uncle, please be ready for it.

Shoot.

Or go back to your home.

Royal uncle, you gotta promise me,

you will spare my life.

If I want to take your life,

you would have been dead already!

Shoot.

This is from general Liu Tiantuo's niece, Liu Xiyin.

She sent a man to deliver this to her cousin, Ye Zhao.

Lord Qi colludes with Western Xia to rebel.

Impudent!

I told you.

You would be mad.

This is sheer nonsense!

Your majesty.

The mute servant traveled thousands of miles.

And waited outside my mansion for two months.

So persevering.

If the thing is not huge,

how could he make it?

Ye Zhao questioned him carefully.

Now, Miss Liu

has been sent to Western Xia by lord Qi as an offering.

I'm afraid she's in great danger.

If lord Qi doesn't want to rebel,

why does he make money so crazily

by running the casino illegally?

Shut up!

Zhao Yujin, listen.

Lord Qi is my royal brother, my family. Also, your family!

Anyone else could rebel.

But...

Not him.

Your majesty.

Just in case he... Enough.

Zhao Yujin.

Don't make trouble for me or spread rumors.

Go back to your home.

Build your body with Ye Zhao, to have kids.

Yes, your majesty.

Come back.

This thing is not fun.

If you spread the rumor, let it go around,

then...

you'll lose your life for sure.

Royal uncle, don't scare me. I know it's not fun.

I will never let anyone else know it!

Royal uncle, just pretend

I didn't say anything to you.

God bless me.

God bless me...

-He won't rebel... -Get lost!

Yujin, you're back.

What did his majesty say?

Don't mention it.

He was caught by anger just now.

Almost killed me!

Anyway, I've told him what I should say.

All bad things in the world are his to deal with.

I've kinda fulfilled my duty.

You've reported it to his majesty.

No matter how he reacts,

this thing will be handled sooner or later.

You're not anxious?

Will anxiety help?

According to Little Sparrow,

cousin has entered Western Xia with Haerdun.

I believe,

by virtue of her beauty and talent,

she won't act rashly.

Now nothing has happened.

She must be waiting for a chance.

You don't worry about her?

I do.

But what could I do?

Lead an army to attack Western Xia right now?

I'm discharged, with no power.

If I act rashly,

alert the enemy,

alert lord Qi,

they'll take cousin as a hostage to threaten us.

By then, she'll be in greater danger.

So we just wait for everything to happen,

don't do anything?

I won't fight until I'm ready.

Yujin, don't worry.

I'll send men to investigate in Western Xia secretly.

After they find her,

and everything is ready,

I'll set out to save her.

Even if I have to save her by myself,

I must get her out of there.

Your cousin

is really like a haunting ghost.

I'm afraid she just wants to repeat the past with you.

She has a face that sways the nation.

Her mind is as unfathomable as her beauty.

Doesn't need you to worry about her!

You also have a face that sways the nation.

But I never stop worrying about you.

Lord Qi in Song is on good terms with your father.

This time, he sends a messenger with a great quantity of grains

to support your father.

Lord Qi just wants to use father

to take the throne more smoothly.

Listen to yourself, kid.

Doesn't your words sound harsh?

They benefit from each other.

Mother.

Mother.

I'm here to see you with Miss Xian.

Xian bows in respect before the queen.

Arise.

You're the famous Miss Xian?

Xian.

This is my sister, Yinchuan.

After you arrived in Capital Xingqing,

you haven't seen her.

She came back

days ago from our Tuobas' pasture.

Xian bows in respect before Princess Yinchuan.

Days ago, I heard

my brother brought a gorgeous beauty back here.

I didn't buy it.

Now I see you.

You're really exceptionally beautiful.

Crown prince also mentioned you to me.

He said you're good at riding and archery.

Really a heroine.

Now I see you.

You really feel familiar to me.

You don't say.

You Song people often say "that's family".

Yinchuan.

Xian is still not familiar with Capital Xingqing.

Show her around when you're free.

To see our Western Xia's beauty.

Thank you for your kindness, my queen.

These days, crown prince has taken me

to travel around Capital Xingqing.

I find Western Xia's landscape is wide and open, very unique.

People in Western Xia are straightforward and adorable.

Although I feel worried away from hometown,

being here kinda broadens my horizon, though.

So education towards girls in Song

indeed differs from that in our Western Xia.

Miss Xian is polite, acts properly.

Also has her insights in things.

Unlike girls in our Western Xia.

Everyone of them is wild.

Mother.

Mother. We shall leave first, then.

Okay. We shall leave first, then.

Okay.

Yinchuan.

See you.

Miss Xian, please.

Since I was born,

I've never seen big brother so happy.

Our Haerdun has grown up into an adult man.

In his eyes,

there starts to show love and care.

This girl makes Haerdun stand with head held up high.

As magnificent as Mt. Helan.

In fact, not every girl in Song

are as delicate as Miss Xian.

There are also great valiant women like General Ye.

I really want to pay a visit to Song.

Did you almost go there with Yinuo last time?

He didn't take me there.

He just followed whatever father told him.

Mother.

How did you know that?

What general Ye has done to you

makes you take her as your idol,

also makes your brother Yinuo desire to conquer her.

Song not only fosters such a heroic woman as Ye Zhao,

but also such a tender woman as Xian Nichang.

One is so doughty, the other is so soft.

That's to say.

Song is really good.

General Ye is like a lightning in darkness.

Which startles me.

If...

God can give me a chance,

to go to Song,

I'll feel satisfied just taking a look at her.
