Oh My General

You thief! Put her down!

Your majesty, I've found that

Nong Zhigao's rebellion in Huizhou is very abnormal.

It is related to that thing your majesty are worried about.

Send this to his majesty in person.

Yes.

Hu Qing has found that

the rebellion in Huizhou, Lu Zhenting is also involved.

I found the payee

was the accountant of the rebel army.

I investigated it.

The man behind this transaction

was Lu Zhenting from Changsheng casino.

I suspect...

Suspect what?

You two are not involved.

That case is closed.

It's called 'Huadian'.

It's the most popular look in the capital.

My lord and Ye Zhao are always together.

When can I have a chance to get pregnant?

Episode 38

I don't know how general makes him so obsessed to her.

My lord stays with her from day and night.

Treats her so well.

Women all have their untold troubles.

I also think it's not proper for general

to have duke's favor all to herself.

There are still other concubines.

Are they all ornaments?

Although duke didn't favor me very much,

he treated me well.

But since...

Since general married him,

my lord...

Started to ignore me.

A man's heart is like a cloud up in the sky.

Few women can grasp it.

Sis Jiyu, you and lord Qi are deeply in love.

Everyone in the capital knows that.

Sis, why do you think that way?

Sis, you don't know

that I've been married to him for years.

It's become a luxury for me to be doted on.

We just take each other as our family.

Our relationship is not passionate any more.

I've been used to it.

If so,

it's also what many other women yearn for.

You're right.

Although he and I are not so intimate as a couple,

we still have two daughters

to enjoy some quality time together.

Sis, I really envy you.

Because you also have two daughters.

It's just...

I haven't seen any one of them.

But I think

they must be as beautiful and elegant as you.

My daughters stay in Jiangbei all the time.

They haven't been here.

It's such a long distance.

They don't like tiring journeys.

Of course.

They're lord Qi's daughters.

Deserve extra watch and care.

Although it sounds good to have many kids,

too many births will bring caducity to women.

I had a son before giving birth to my daughters.

But he died very young.

With two daughters,

I was willing to have no more kids.

So I took a dose of medicine.

And gave no kids since then.

Such a medicine doesn't hurt your body?

Sis, where did you get it?

Can I have a look at it?

It doesn't.

But sis, you're so young and will be a mother.

Why do you want to know it?

I'm busy with accounts every day.

Don't know anything else.

Like a frog in a well.

I wonder how could there be such a medicine.

My dear sis. Just take it out for me to have a look.

You really beat me.

Lian.

Yes, my lady.

Fetch the prescription in my case.

Yes, my lady.

Contraception Prescription?

Sis.

Do you have any plan for your future?

I can do nothing

but muddle along.

Based on your beauty and talent,

you deserve a more satisfying life.

I dare not think about that.

I only hope

that duke could pay more attention to me.

Sis, you're really a kind girl.

The wish you said is so humble.

How dare I covet a larger one?

Sis, if you can't give birth to any kid,

I think your position in your mansion

will be very embarrassing.

Sis, if you

can give duke a son,

I think consort dowager Zhao

will value you many time better than she does.

Sis, you're right.

Don't I wish the same?

But now my lord cares about no one but general.

My lord always expects that general

can give him a son.

So sis, you should give him a son

before general does!

Right.

There's a premium prescription in my room.

Sis, how about you try a few doses of it first?

Sis, you must be kidding.

My lord and general stays together day and night.

I can hardly see him.

How could I have kids as I wish?

Let alone a son.

I'm afraid no matter how good the prescription is,

it won't work at all.

My silly sis!

Few men in the world

can resist the temptation of other beauties.

As long as you plan well,

how could you fail to have a few happy nights with him?

Sis, please instruct me.

Let me get you the prescription in person.

Thank you, sis.

Right.

You're gonna have a son.

But this Contraception Prescription is ominous.

I'm back.

This prescription is passed down by an imperial doctor in the late dynasty. Only people in the palace can use it.

You gotta keep it safe.

Sis, thank you for all of this.

I've born it in mind.

I'll take the Conception Prescription.

Excuse me, then.

Okay.

Men all need you to coax them.

Home is the best.

Xia!

My lord. General.

Everyone has contributed to the rebellion in Beizhou.

So his majesty wants to reward everyone

with fifty tael of silver,

two bolts of silk.

Go hand out the rewards to everyone later.

Okay.

Thank you, my lord.

Come, Yujin. Have some longans.

Zhao.

Thanks to your efforts this time.

Yujin, you also played a role in it.

Come, try this.

Listen to me.

That's so awesome!

Mrs. Yang.

General. My lord.

Please have some tea.

My lord.

This is for general.

This is for you.

Any difference between them?

Your tea is good for your kidneys.

General's tea is good for her uterus.

Seriously?

Zhao, drink it up. It's good for you.

I will.

Leave us.

Yes, my lord.

Right, Mrs. Yang.

Although you didn't go to Beizhou,

you stayed here for the mansion.

You've also worked hard.

Get your reward from Xia later.

General, I didn't make any contribution. I...

How didn't you?

You're busy with so many things back home.

You've made contributions.

Thank you, general.

Zhao.

You're growing more and more generous. More and more like a wife.

I like this change.

So good.

Because you teach me well.

Come.

You also try one.

General.

Please drink up the tea.

Or it'll be cold.

Ma Dagui, how dare you?!

General says that Western Xia tries to attack us.

You gotta cheer up and watch out for them!

Captain He.

I joined the army just half a year. Captain He.

I joined the army just half a year.

They sent me here right after my training.

I haven't been used to night watch.

I really feel uncomfortable in my eyes.

Not used to night watch?

Sober up!

General says that Western Xia tries to attack.

We've strengthen defense for over half a year.

But haven't even seen a ghost.

It's so cold here.

Only idiots will come!

You damn brat.

Cut the crap!

Just do your job well!

If other people hear such nonsense from you,

they'll take you away to flog you!

Captain He, I was wrong.

I was wondering, I've been here for over six months,

when will my mom write me a letter

with some pickles to go with meals?

You're thinking about food?! You damn foodie!

Do you know

there's a ferocious wolf out there?

Wolf tastes good!

No matter how many they are,

I can eat them up right away!

That's not just a wolf.

That's a Ghost Wolf.

Ghost Wolf?

Hundreds of years ago.

Right on the grassland here,

there was a wolf king.

Bigger than leopard, fiercer than tiger.

No one could catch it.

It traveled with no trace.

A lord coveted its fur.

So he sent out hunters

to set up many traps

for the wolf king to enter step by step.

They skinned it alive.

The wolf king felt painful.

So it cried hard.

But the harder it struggled,

the faster its blood got lost.

The wolf king wouldn't die.

Until a villager cut off its head.

And then?

And then...

The wolf king's soul became a ghost.

It razed the entire village to the ground overnight!

All people in that village

got beheaded and skinned by the ghost.

Their bodies piled up like a mound.

Only a villager escaped. He said,

he saw the wolf king was soaked with blood,

stood on the roof with a human head in its mouth.

And... And then?

And then similar things happened in neighboring villages.

People who had seen the ghost wolf

all ended up like that!

It must be a lie.

Come.

Look at the village!

It was trampled by the wolf king before!

I don't buy it. The village was plundered by soldiers of Western Xia.

Soldiers of Western Xia?

No, it's the ghost wolf!

Bear this in mind. If you see the ghost wolf during your patrol,

just run.

Okay. Okay. I will. I will.

Especially like this.

Don't say a word or turn around.

Because it must the ghost calling you.

Okay, captain, I see.

Don't tell anyone

what I just told you.

Okay.

Bluffing.

The ghost wolf is here!

Ghost wolf!

What's wrong?

What's wrong, Zhao?

Nothing.

Go back to your sleep.

Emergency muster!

Strike back!

Those ghost wolves played this trick again.

Always hit and run.

What's their purpose?

Juping Pass

is our Song's first natural barrier!

Must defend it well!

Yes!

LORD QI'S MANSION

How could there be such a beauty in this world!

Although there are many beauties in our Western Xia,

none of them can outshine her.

My lord.

To welcome you,

I told them to rehearse this dance.

Do you like it?

Of course. Of course.

Cheers.

Cheers.

Bravo!

Come here.

My lord, what can I do for you?

My lord.

This is the most beautiful singer in our Jiangbei Province.

Miss, what's your name?

I had no name.

But my lord saw me dance well.

So he called me Nishang.

Everyone was born with a name.

Why did she have no name?

My lord, here's the thing.

She's born gorgeous and noble.

She should have had a better name.

But years ago, she suffered an accident,

forgot who she was and her original name.

My head was hurt badly.

After I woke up,

I couldn't remember many things.

I almost got bullied by some dirty men.

Luckily, lord Qi saved me.

That day, I saw some scoundrels bullying her.

So I saved her in a fit of rage.

Now I know why.

Lord Qi, you're really merciful.

I admire that.

I'm flattered.

It's easy for me to save her

when I happened to see those scoundrels.

But I think her appearance and temperament

shows she's not common.

But like a fairy (Xian).

How about we call you Xian Nishang?

Xian Nishang.

Good. Good.

Nishang should be in the wonderland. But she comes to our human world.

Good.

Nishang, say thanks to his lordship.

Thank you for giving me this name.

Xian.

Later, you don't need to dance.

Stay here and drink with his lordship.

Yes, my lord.

My lord, let me give a toast to you.

Let me, Hardun,

give a toast to you, Miss Nishang.

Cheers.

Thank you, my lord.

The wine from you

feels like sweet dew from the wonderland!

Nishang.

Take out your handkerchief.

My lord, why do you want it?

It's lucky that his lordship gives you such a beautiful name.

Why don't you take the chance to ask him for a poem?

To remember the day of your meeting.

It's a good idea.

My lord, please bestow me with a poem.

Paper and ink-brush!

The moon shines above willow branches.

People in love promise to meet at night.

Thank you, my lord.

Amazing!

I didn't expect you could have exceptional Kungfu

and such fine calligraphy.

Miss, you're so beautiful and second to none.

Can hardly be seen in this world.

Come, for such a beauty, cheers.

For the kismet of you two meeting here,

cheers.

-Cheers. -Cheers.

Okay.

Let's call it a day now.

Take a break.

So tired.

General.

I've learned from you for half a year.

Can I compete with you?

Okay.

Great! Great!

Great!

Sis, look.

What's wrong with general today?

She's not as agile as she was.

You're right.

General looks a little tired.

I remember when we were in Baxian, General had a big fight with Yinuo

without blinking her eyes.

But now?

Is general giving way to guard Xu on purpose?

I don't think so.

I think there's something wrong with general.

General! General! I defeat general!

-Are you okay, general? -General. General.

What's wrong?

Look, blood. -I... -Blood.

-How could this happen? -I...

Xu Duohua!

General, what happened? Why hurt so badly?

Is general okay?

General!

Miss Xian, now that you can't find your family,

would you like to start over in a new place?

I'm an orphan.

Now, being a singer in my lord's mansion,

although it's not very satisfying,

I'm no longer a refugee.

My lord treats me well.

Where else could I go?

I'm...

I'm a businessman.

I fell for you the minute I saw you.

Miss, would you like to live with me

in another place?

As long as you're willing to stay with me,

I'll make sure to give you a rich life.

My lord, what do you mean by another place?

Western Xia.

Miss, have you heard of it?

Although I'm all alone,

I know Western Xia is very far away from here.

I...

What, you don't want to?

Leave homeland for a foreign one.

I can't decide.

I need time to think about it.

Okay.

I'll stay here for three more days.

Three days later.

Please tell me your decision, Miss Xian.

Yes, my lord.

Well, excuse me, then.

Doctor Meng.

How is general doing now?

Yes, how is she?

My lord.

General's pulse fares well.

The blood probably wasn't caused by her inner condition.

Maybe her gullet got hurt.

Look, I'll write a prescription for her to recuperate.

After the medicine is done,

make sure general drink it up at once.

Xia.

Go fetch the medicine with doctor Meng.

Yes, my lord.

Please.

Zhao, don't worry.

My lord, I'm sorry.

Miss Nishang.

What makes you so panic?

Nothing.

It's sunny today.

I spent too many days inside my room.

So I went out to take a stroll.

Didn't expect that I would get in your way.

Didn't I tell you that?

You can go everywhere you want in my mansion. You're my guest.

Don't take yourself as a maid.

I walked about without permission.

And offended you.

I really feel shameful.

Never mind.

I'm not made of a paper.

That wouldn't hurt me.

But, Miss,

did you get hurt?

I'm also fine.

Excuse me, my lord.

General.

Are you feeling better now?

Much better.

General is always strong.

Never has any illness.

What's wrong this time?

I'm also a human.

It's normal to be ill.

Maybe general is used to the hard life.

But now it's gone, replaced by a high life.

So she can't take it.

Maybe.

Here comes the medicine.

My lord.

Zhao, come, take your medicine.

I can drink it myself.

Allow me.

And this candy.

Feel better?

Well, general.

Please rest well.

We better leave first.

Wait.

I gotta tell you something.

General, anything we can do for you?

First, the rebellion in Huizhou.

Then, the turmoil in Beizhou.

I don't think they have nothing in common.

If they really want to do something,

they won't give up so easily.

General, what do you want us to do?

Qiu Shui, as of today.

You'll train our maids and servants.

Also, Mrs. Fan and guard Xu.

Yes.

Qiu Hua, help me follow up

developments at the border.

Report to me at any time

if there's anything I should know.

Yes.

That's all.

Bye, general.

Zhao.

You're ill.

Why worry about those things?

Even if the sky collapsed,

the tall would be there to support it.

I'm the tall.

If the sky collapsed, I gotta support it.

Fine, you're tall and that capable.

But you gotta promise me.

Forget such troubles before you get recovered.

Okay, I promise you.

Lie down and have some rest.

Don't worry. I'm here with you.

# Rain drops on my brows #

# Tears flow from my eyes #

# Time flies too fast, won't wait for me #

# Longing for you, much longer than my life #

# Silently, I'm with you #

# With words I can't tell you #

# I reach out my hand, can't catch your sleeves #

# I'm too weak #

Under the moon and stars.

I saw her there far away.

After those unsettled days.

She looks so sad.

She looks so sad...

That her feelings can touch the sky.

# I give it all out #

# Like spilled water can't be gathered up again #

Hurry up!

Hurry. Hurry.

Hurry, all of you!

Hurry.

Hey, you, come here.

Do you know what those girls do?

Mute.

Hurry up!

Off you go.

Hurry up!

How is the training going?

My lord.

Everything is well arranged.

They're all obedient.

Remember, don't slack off.

Yes, my lord.

Wait.

How long have you been here?

Two years.

It's been two years. Time flies.

You should be fifteen or sixteen?

Fifteen?

Fifteen.

What a good age!

Jiyu.

Leave us.

This servant looks kind.

But pitifully, he's a mute.

Being able to talk is not necessarily a good thing.

Too much talk makes mistake.

Being a mute in lord Qi's mansion,

is a bliss that he earns by hard work.

It's better than being homeless and displaced. My lord.

I've prepared a table of good food and wine.

Let's have dinner together?

Okay.

I haven't had meals with you for a long time.

Look, in the capital.

There are many noble ladies to keep you company,

to have fun together.

But in Jiangbei,

you have to bear loneliness.

Although it's not as prosperous as the capital,

it's quieter here.

Have you taken the medicine given by the doctor?

Do you feel more comfortable all over yourself?

I do feel better physically.

It's just...

What's wrong?

Feel free to say it.

I saw a new dancer included into our mansion.

Both her look and carriage are good.

I only have a maid named Lian by my side.

To serve tea and decoct medicine.

She's too busy.

My lord, how about you bestow the dancer to me?

To talk and chat with me.

Wife, the dancer you mentioned is

Xian Nishang?
