(Episode 78)

It has been too long,

so the security footage was deleted already.

It's fine.

But the person who received the ring may have been mistaken.

How could she have looked like the deceased?

Also, since this is a columbarium,

people working the night shift have had hallucinations.

I see. Please call me...

if you find the backed-up copy of the security footage.

I'll do that.

That employee is on vacation, so he's out today,

but I'll ask him if he remembers anything else.

I'd appreciate that.

Gosh. My gosh.

Don't worry too much.

It'll be hard for him now, but Sun Hyuk will get through it.

I'm home, Mother.

Hey.

- Hey. - Do you feel sick?

My gosh, Sun Hyuk.

Are you okay?

Where did you go? You didn't even call.

I went to Eun Jo's columbarium.

What?

But... Hey, why did you go there?

I wanted to say bye before I left.

- You're leaving? - Where are you going?

I'm sorry I couldn't tell you beforehand.

I'm thinking of quitting...

and going backpacking around the world for a year...

with Hoon.

What? You're taking a backpacking trip?

With Hoon? Just the two of you?

Yes. I feel bad because I haven't been able...

to focus on him.

Sun Hyuk, don't be so rash...

No. That's a great idea.

Hoon will be super happy when he hears it's just him and you.

Don't think about anything while you're on your trip.

Shake everything off that had weighed you down.

I'll go to my room now.

I asked the person who received the ring,

and he said a woman asked him to put it in the niche...

sometime in early spring.

A woman?

Yes. But he said she was kind of creepy.

- Why? - The woman who brought the ring...

looked so much like the picture in the niche.

That can't be.

The person who brought this ring looked like Eun Jo?

It couldn't have been...

What are you thinking? Of course, not.

Why do you have that ring?

It was in Eun Jo's niche.

They said a woman dropped it off in early spring.

Early spring is when she came back as Ga Heun.

She decided to forget him as soon as she came.

Eun Jo.

I won't watch my brother suffer because of you any longer.

You must've felt weird when you heard that.

I put that there.

Eun Jo had asked me to hold it before the bachelorette party...

in case she loses it.

She did? It was you?

You went there because you were upset about Ga Heun, right?

Forget all about Ga Heun.

She's marrying Ha Jun.

And don't try to find Eun Jo in her anymore either.

Let her go too.

You've done all you could.

The Eun Jo that you loved doesn't exist anymore...

anywhere.

Sorry for worrying you too.

You have to take good care of Mom while I'm gone, okay?

I'm traveling with Hoon because I know I can count on you.

You know I'm always grateful, right?

- I do. - Daddy, I'm home.

Hi, Hoon. What did you do today at kindergarten?

We did origami.

This is my heart.

You're the best, Hoon.

You're all I need.

Yes. You have Hoon. That's enough.

Okay, then. Next up.

The VIP client styling class.

Our president, Mr. Oh Ha Jun,

who is in charge of the new brand and a social media fashionista,

will introduce the styles for this summer.

Hello, I'm Oh Ha Jun.

I'm here to free our VIP clients...

from the heat this summer.

The items you see on our models remove sweat and moisture quickly...

so that they are cool and comfortable to the touch.

The fabric is stretchy so that it's easy to move in them.

So? Are you ready...

to enjoy a cool summer?

The invitation-only styling class for the VIPs...

that we held recently was a big hit.

Since we streamed live, we sold out both online and offline.

The livestream recorded...

the highest sales ever in any second quarter.

Already?

There's still a month left in the second quarter.

You two work so well together already.

I bet you'll be even better once you're married.

The live shopping was Mr. Oh's idea.

Stepmom, you'll need to step it up.

When will you launch DDM Venus and catch up...

to Mapsy?

You should prepare to hand over authority over personnel matters.

Ha Jun. I can't just let you be...

since you know Ha Ra's secret.

I'll get rid of Ga Heun and you no matter what it takes.

Just watch.

You've become a busybody ever since you became president.

DDM Venus's pilot product will be ready next week.

You'll like it for sure.

Okay. Work hard on it since it's your new local brand.

I have high expectations for it.

The company isn't funding it yet.

How did you get the funds to develop it?

Why do you care?

Naturally, I got an investment.

I've built Jewang Fashion for 30 years.

Do you think I can't find one investor?

But then again, it's probably impossible...

for a baby president.

Se Rin. You must've threatened her...

into embezzling company funds.

Once DDM Venus launches,

the company will support it completely.

That's right. When are you meeting with Ji Na Hwang?

It's best to rush happy events.

Sure. We're meeting tonight.

Gosh. I'm so excited...

that Ha Jun and Ms. Hwang...

are getting married.

Since I'm planning this wedding on Na Yeon's behalf,

it does make me feel bad.

But I raised Ha Jun with all my heart.

I should make his wedding...

better than if he were my biological son.

Take out money from the fund for the employee apartment building.

Pardon?

Embezzle it.

We haven't begun construction yet, so no one will notice.

Clear out the account...

and put it all into DDM Venus's launch.

And use that money to give Se Rin everything she demands.

Back her completely.

Yes, ma'am. I will.

Servant, why aren't you reporting in about DDM Venus's launch?

My queen. I was going to text you.

Congratulations.

Our masterpiece is finally being launched next week.

It is? You must've pressured Geum Eun Hwa...

with the video of Ha Ra committing murder.

My servant is all grown up.

Since you're my servant, I assume you have dirt on Geum Eun Hwa too?

Yes. I really am all grown up, if I say so myself.

Ms. Geum and I are equal partners.

Of course.

I found out...

Ms. Geum embezzled funds from the employee apartment construction.

I'll obtain the evidence soon...

and share it with you.

Since you are me and I am you.

She embezzled from the employee apartment construction?

Yes. I am you and you are me.

Don't forget. We share the same fate.

Of course, not. That's why I told Ms. Geum that too.

When I told her I gave you a copy of Ha Ra's video,

she was totally speechless.

You should've seen it.

Se Rin.

You big mouth. You told her that?

Idiot.

It is so you.

You know, it was really scary and hard for me...

to hold onto that security footage of Ha Ra...

causing Eun Jo's father's death for five years.

But I don't regret it at all anymore.

I have Ms. Geum wrapped around my finger.

Eun Jo will probably be livid...

if she finds out I'm using her father's death, won't she?

Se Rin. I'll make you pay for using my dad's death...

to make a deal.

I can't wait to see the look on your face...

when your drug-addict dad dies before your very eyes.

I'll make you feel a million times the pain...

that you made my dad feel.

Just wait.

What? You want to have the wedding that soon?

It's still the marriage of two large corporations.

We have much to prepare.

Shouldn't we take some more time?

We should have it soon to solidify Ha Jun's position...

as the successor.

You want to kick me out as soon as possible.

We'll have the wedding twice. Once in Seoul,

and once in Hong Kong.

In Hong Kong, all eyes will be on how many tuxes and dresses...

the bride and groom change into...

and how amazing the jewelry they wear is.

That will be the main focus.

It's Hwaipeu Fund's wedding.

I need to do that to save face.

Thus, please accept everything I give as a dowry.

Are you showing off that you're loaded?

As for the gifts for relatives,

I plan to give them each a 375g gold bar.

I assume you have at least 100 relatives?

What? How much money is that...

just for gifts?

We don't have 100.

I don't have very many relatives.

It's Ha Jun's wedding.

Aren't you going to include his birth mother's relatives?

Fine then. Go right ahead.

But I plan to redo Ha Jun's room...

and have them live there when they first get married.

Ms. Hwang will be the Jewang family's daughter-in-law.

She should learn the ways of the family.

I'll keep her with me for a year...

and teach her.

Go ahead.

Ga Heun had said...

she'd move in because she's worried about Chairman Han.

Since...

you're being suspected of playing a part...

in causing Ha Jun's mother's death,

please be understanding of her being worried...

about Chairman Han's safety.

What? Her safety?

I don't know what you've heard,

but Ha Jun's birth mom died because it was her time.

My gosh. Where did you hear such nonsense?

She died because it was her time.

You speak so lightly of human life.

Is that what you think about the suicide...

of Oman Group's president 30 years ago?

Didn't that result from you...

giving the chairman improper advice?

What did you just say? Ms. Hwang.

You brought him up last time in front of our chairman too.

Why do you keep bringing it up?

From what I hear,

Ha Jun's mother advised the chairman...

to help Oman Group.

I can't help but suspect you were the reason...

the investment that was already finalized...

suddenly fell through.

Don't you feel responsible for pushing a businessperson...

to suicide?

Don't give the chairman advice that prevents him...

from making proper judgments.

It doesn't help Jewang Group at all.

Jewang Fashion came to be thanks to that advice.

And I'm sure the president of Oman Group died...

because it was his time to die as well.

Why must I feel any responsibility for that?

I'm speechless.

You killed people, but you feel no guilt whatsoever.

I'll make you,

your daughter, and your husband pay for what you've done.

Try giving me that garbage then, Geum Eun Hwa.

(Performance Test)

(Goeun Apparel)

So, Stepmom tried to extort Eun Jo's father's company...

into giving her a kickback, but he wouldn't give in,

so she cut them off saying the fabric was faulty...

and made them go bankrupt.

Mr. Ko passed away...

two days after Eun Jo.

That means Stepmom is on the list of Eun Jo's revenge targets.

Was that why...

she wanted to push Stepmom out and make me the successor?

Sir.

Mr. Cha submitted his resignation directly to the chairman,

and the chairman approved it.

What? Where's Sun Hyuk now?

He's clearing out his office.

("In Search of Lost Time")

Thank you for being Eun Jo for me.

Now forget your late first love.

It's late.

Ga Heun.

If I become him for you,

can you forget him too?

What do you mean?

The man who hurt you.

I'll be him for you,

so vent at me.

The resentment and hatred you have toward him...

I'll take it all.

Sun Hyuk. I heard you resigned.

Don't you know why I'm transferring you to New York?

It was so you can forget everything and live comfortably with Hoon.

I was being considerate.

Whom were you being considerate of?

You did it just to make yourself feel better.

You're right. Can't you make me feel better?

Must you do whatever you want and resign like this?

You're the one who does whatever you want.

I can't congratulate you on your marriage.

Since Ms. Hwang is by your side,

I can't keep my word to protect you until you become the successor.

I hope you understand.

Should I ship this to your home?

Yes, thank you.

Thank you for everything.

Ga Heun.

I briefly dreamt of being that man thanks to you.

Thank you for letting me be him.

I'll return the memories that you created for me.

("In Search of Lost Time")

I met with Geum Eun Hwa...

and told her we'd have a grand wedding.

Since you've decided to marry him,

we should show them how mighty your family and Hwaipeu Fund are.

Thank you.

Ga Heun.

To be honest, there's another gift that I want to give...

to you.

I had wanted...

to wear it...

on my wedding day.

But I couldn't wear it...

because my husband died.

I wanted to give it to my daughter if she were alive.

If you don't mind, I'd like to bring it from Hong Kong.

Would you wear it for me?

You're really giving that to me?

I'd be very grateful.

I'm the one who's thankful.

You're filling the void Ga Heun left.

I'm sure she's the one who sent you to me.

That's right. Is everything okay at the company?

Geum Eun Hwa is embezzling company funds.

I plan to make Se Rin get evidence and give it to DDM Queen.

Good. Ju Tae Sik...

should be a complete addict...

thanks to the drug Duk Kyu has been giving him.

I hear Ha Ra has been throwing hissy fits...

during the shoots. Probably because of the divorce.

Yes, the director told me.

He said they had to stop filming several times...

because she was being belligerent toward the staff.

So he sent her to a psychiatrist to get treated.

Although she'll go crazier and crazier thanks to my screenplay.

Good. Your revenge is going as planned.

How are things with Bo Mi?

Bo Mi...

can't understand me.

And I can't make her.

I'll head out now.

Ga Heun.

I may be turning you into a revenge monster.

Taste my nunchucks of justice!

Eun Gyul, why are you doing this to me?

Rich Brother, listen up.

Bruce Lee said,

"Love is like a friendship caught on fire."

"It is very pretty, hot and fierce,"

"but it is only a flickering light."

"As love matures,"

"so does the heart."

"It is like coal..."

"and burns from deep within..."

"and is unquenchable."

What are you talking about?

Don't take my sister from my brother-in-law.

Sun Hyuk will forever be Eun Gyul's brother-in-law.

Rich Brother, if you anger Eun Gyul again,

Eun Gyul will bring two nunchucks then.

That hurts like crazy. Darn it.

Sun Hyuk. Even Eun Gyul is on your side.

I envy you. I wish I had a brother-in-law like that.

- What's going on? - I have no idea.

That guy with the nunchucks... He's friends with Ms. Hwang, right?

We saw him at the team dinner at the chicken place.

You're right.

He showed off his nunchucks skills during the online concert.

Why do you think Ms. Hwang's friend hit Mr. Oh?

Right? He was saying something about Sun Hyuk,

so it must have something to do with Mr. Cha.

Mr. Cha got divorced and Mr. Oh is getting married.

You don't think Ms. Hwang is involved, do you?

What? There's no way.

Right?

("In Search of Lost Time")

Gosh.

Slick it all back.

You're one handsome dude.

Side part?

My beard's growing already.

I don't have money for a razor.

No. This is proof...

that I'm still alive.

Yes, that's right. Ju Tae Sik is not dead.

Even if I can't become in-laws with a conglomerate owner,

Fiery Pants is...

my only way to survive.

Tae Sik, you snake.

You can do it! Yes.

What is all of this?

You got soap all over the floor.

Did you take a shower in here?

Get out of here.

No, no. I'll go. I'll leave. I'm leaving.

I'm leaving.

Wait! No! Hold on.

No, no. Just a minute.

The flowers still smell good.

Gosh.

What a crazy bum. Goodness.

Gosh.

I need to write a hot poem...

to win over...

Fiery Pants' heart.

Ode to Cho Shim.

Is Sun Hyuk doing well now?

How could he be?

So... He quit his job at the company.

He says he'll leave the country and spend time with Hoon.

He says he went to say bye to Eun Jo yesterday...

and went to the columbarium.

I know he hasn't gotten over Eun Jo.

That was probably why he was drawn to Ga Heun.

What do we do?

Forget it. Stop talking about it.

Didn't you say you had a delivery to make...

to Jackpot Real Estate?

That's right. I'll be right back.

Go ahead.

I can't think straight because of that brat...

Ga Heun. Darn it.

Oh my gosh. My eyes.

Fiery Pants.

These come from my heart.

So... I wrote a poem...

just for you.

May I recite it for you?

Well... Go ahead if you want.

"Ode to Cho Shim"

"My heart burned"

"My heart burned like fire"

"Can I reignite it again?"

"I really don't want to part"

- "Now" - Cho Shim!

- I forgot... - Shut it!

How dare you? Get out!

Get out. Get out! Get out now!

- Fiery Pants. Talk it out! - Get out! Out!

You... If you come here ever again,

- I'll kill you, got that? - Ouch.

Let's talk it out.

Darn it. No one should be hit, not even with a flower.

What's this?

It's money.

Okay.

Are you sure about going alone?

If it weren't for the launch, I'd go too.

Is the intel from that detective who can even find skeletons...

reliable?

Of course.

A witness saw the real Ga Heun near the accident site.

That's why I'm on my way to check.

I'll call you right away if I find a solid lead.

Okay. I'll trust you and wait.

You're all I have left, Wook Do.

You know you have to protect me, right?

You're all I have too, Se Rin.

Stop that. People are staring.

I'll be right back, okay?

Let's have dinner together.

Steak, not instant noodles.

Give me a break.

How dare you lie to me, Se Rin?

What? You haven't heard from him?

You were lying?

Let's see what garbage the two of them are up to.

We'll probably live happily ever after, right?

Ha Jun is lying.

Something is going on with Ga Heun. I'm sure of it.

Chairman Han, Ga Heun is here to see you.

He's happy to see you.

We can communicate just with our eyes.

I'm sorry it took me so long to come visit.

What? How could you ask something like that?

Well...

She's asking if you're marrying Master Ha Jun because you love him.

What?

"Ga Heun! Are you using Ha Jun?"

My gosh. Goodness.

She is very angry right now.

What is wrong with you?

Yes.

You're right. I am using Mr. Oh.

The witness who saw the real Ga Heun is here.

Soon Yi?

That's what we called her.

There was this old woman named Park, who lived alone.

One day, she brought her home and took care of her.

She always followed her to the street market.

Was there anything unusual about her?

What could there have been?

She wasn't right in the head.

Even when the sun was out,

she'd say to stay away from the water,

to be careful of storms,

and nonsense like that everywhere she went.

Actually, I think she spoke Chinese or something like that.

Chinese?

Well... We don't know foreign languages,

so we had no idea what she spoke or what she said.

When did she go missing?

Hold on. Let me see...

Yes... It was about five years ago.

She suddenly disappeared.

Park got sick and withered away...

and died after she disappeared. So yes, five years.

Hold on. I should have a picture.

Photography is my hobby.

(Classified)

This is the report on Ji Na Hwang from the Hong Kong associate.

He said he found everything possible.

Okay, thanks.

Anyway, he says Ji Na Hwang was a single mom,

and the man she was going to marry committed suicide in Korea.

Suicide?

- Okay. You may go. - Yes, sir.

(Oman Group)

Oman Group?

This is Soon Yi.

She looks normal, doesn't she?

So she's the real Ga Heun.

It's her? She's the real Ga Heun?

(Miss Monte-Cristo)

If her real daughter shows up, Eun Jo's out.

So she's Hwang Ga Heun, Ji Na Hwang's real daughter.

The truth is, I need her in order to get revenge on Stepmom.

Why should I see a shrink?

I'm not crazy.

Him and his therapy!

My dream was to become Eun Jo.

I wanted to become Eun Jo for just one minute...

and be loved.

You're not Ji Na Hwang's partner, but her avatar.

- How did you... - Isn't your real objective...

to use Eun Jo to get revenge on Jewang?

Stop me if you can.
