Yang Xiao!

Yang Xiao. Yang Xiao.

Yang Xiao. Wake up.

Wake up.

Yang Xiao.

Da Li, Da Bao,

arrange a place for the

star-crossed lovers.

Yes, Chief.

Someone come and carry him!

-Come on. -Okay.

Young Master!

Miss Yue, what happened to the young master?

Lower your voice. Yang Xiao, he...

I brought this

upon him.

Liu Tiao, I'm sorry.

Miss Yue, he really loves you.

He risked his life and fought against

the world for you.

How many times have it been?

Liu Tiao.

Stay here and take care of him.

-I'll be back. -Okay.

Young Master.

I wonder why Chief Zheng did this.

We sincerely seek cooperation.

Aren't you going too far

for doing this?

[Zheng]

Yue Zi Yuan.

I admire your righteousness.

But I won't show any mercy

to the Yangs.

What had the Yang family done to you?

They're working with someone to stop people

from taking the new trade route.

Don't tell me you don't know.

Impossible.

The Yang family would never do that.

Manager Qian is a member of the Yang family.

He and the Qingyue Mountain's merchants are avoiding the new trade route.

Will Yang Xiao not know about that?

Manager Qian

only manages one of the Yang family's stores.

His actions can't represent the Yang family.

To be frank,

Yang Xiao's parents

died while trying to open up the new trade route.

And he's willing

to risk his life to open up

the new trade route.

We've been threatened many times

since we departed from the capital city.

But nothing could stop him.

He wants the route opened

than anyone.

As for Manager Qian,

we'll investigate him thoroughly.

If you really wish to open up the new trade route,

you have my full support.

It's beneficial to the country and the people.

Da Bao, get the medicine.

Okay.

This is Qingfeng Camp's special medicine.

Apply it with other medicines.

The wound will heal in less than three days.

Apply it on Yang Xiao's wounds.

As a token of my apology.

Liu Tiao.

Your young master is awake.

-Is he? -Come in.

Young Master.

Young Master, you're finally awake!

Why did Miss Yue run away?

Be careful.

Young Master Yang,

where are you taking me?

Don't worry, we're almost there.

Miss Bai, look.

Young Master Yang, how do you know I want to ride a horse?

You're gentle and you don't go out much.

You've been studying poetry at home.

I guess you should be interested in horse riding.

But, Young Master Yang,

I've never ridden a horse before.

Will it be dangerous?

Miss Bai, rest assured.

I'll protect you.

Don't be afraid, Miss Bai.

We have an agreement.

You can get on it.

You'll be safe.

Here.

Miss Bai, I'll help you.

Hold it tightly.

Young Master Yang, what did you say to the horse?

It seems to have become more tame.

That is our secret.

It's so refreshing

to see this vast wilderness.

How wonderful it would be if I could stay here forever

with my loved one.

Miss Bai, what's so difficult about it?

You can certainly settle in here

with your loved one if you like it here.

[Righteousness Hall]

You came out before you're fully recovered.

The wind is strong in the mountain.

If you catch a cold,

I'll have to take the trouble and get you medicine.

You're so concerned about me?

Zi Yuan.

You fed me the medicine with your mouth.

I didn't know you cared so much about me.

I...

I was paid.

Of course I have to find a way to cure you.

Stubborn.

How are you going to deal with Chief Zheng?

[Righteousness Hall]

According to my observations,

I think

she is not a greedy bandit

who claims innocent lives.

She is more like a chivalric

and upright heroine.

So, the beating was worth it.

Silly girl.

Miss Yue.

Seems like Young Master Yang

has almost recovered.

Of course.

He was injured by your people.

You must know the way to heal him.

Seems like Miss Yue is still mad at me.

I've explained what happened.

It was a misunderstanding.

Moreover, my men and I

are being called bandits.

Of course I have to be cautious.

Please forgive us, Miss Yue.

Young Master Yang, please forgive me.

I fully support the opening

of the Guiyue trade route.

Thank you, Chief Zheng.

But before I came, I heard that

Qingyue Mountain is a bad place...

With many bandits, right?

Who would exchange a decent life

for a life as a bandit?

The Qingyue trade route has been impassable for ages.

People are living in squalor.

They won't be bandits

if there's a chance to earn a living.

I believe with Chief Zheng's support,

the trade route will be opened soon.

I'll give my full support.

Anyway,

we have to thank Chief Zheng.

Miss Yue,

you came to Qifeng Camp alone for your lover.

I really admire

your chivalry.

Miss Yue seems to be a like-minded person.

We can be blood brothers

if you are up for it.

What do you think?

That would be great.

This is my pleasure.

Brother!

Then I'll call you Zi Yuan from now on.

♫ Misty rain and cold wind brewing in Jiangnan ♫

♫ Accompanied by sailing clouds and chirping of cicadas ♫

So, this is the love token

from Chief Zheng?

Love token?

This is a life-saving flute.

My brother said that

I can blow it whenever I'm in danger.

She'll come to my rescue.

I can give it to you.

Blow it when you're in danger,

and I'll save you.

I don't need your saving.

Just keep it.

Young Master, I told you.

Miss Yue is a heroine.

She can do things that others can't.

Liu Tiao,

when did you become so good at flattering?

I'm not flattering. That's the truth.

The brave female armed escort

broke into the Qingfeng Camp,

and fought against bandits to save the day.

Miss Bai has materials for her novel now.

Enough, Liu Tiao.

Stop talking.

The bandit chief you are talking about

is her sworn brother.

My bad.

I'll leave you two alone.

Good boy.

And you dare to lecture Liu Tiao

with your thoughtlessness?

Our minds are not in sync at all.

What did I tell you?

Just run if you can't defeat the rascals.

Trying your best will do.

You're really stupid.

Then you had to stay in the bed for three days.

Listen.

You owed me a lot.

It's with interest...

♫ The world has its ups and downs ♫

♫ The mortals lament for love ♫

♫ How could I see the light? ♫

♫ How could I resist the kiss of the rain? ♫

♫ But the past has settled ♫

♫ The words have been written on the page ♫

♫ It has always been myself in these dreams ♫

♫ Thinking that I'd spend the rest of my life alone ♫

♫ Why does this old acquaintance ♫

♫ Delight my heart ♫

♫ Disrupting passing times ♫

♫ Raging a storm inside ♫

Young lady, look at the fabric.

The colour is dark.

Take your pick.

Tie it up tightly.

Okay, no problem.

[Huifu Pavilion]

It's almost done.

Lend me a hand.

Manager Qian, are you busy?

Young Master Yang Xiao.

You're back?

Yes, thanks to you.

I have returned safely.

Carry on. Ignore me.

Young Master Yang Xiao.

Did everything go well in the Qingyue Mountain?

Manager Qian, can't you see I've returned safely?

Why?

Are you disappointed because I didn't die?

Young Master Yang Xiao, please don't say that.

I was worried.

Everyone knows the bandits in the Qingyue Mountain are brutal.

Don't be nervous, Manager Qian.

You won't kill me for no reason.

-Right? -Yes, right.

[Huifu Pavilion]

What are you delivering?

They are tea leaves.

They'll be sent to the Guiyue State.

What a coincidence.

I'm going there

in a couple of days.

By then,

I can deliver them on my way there.

Young Master Yang Xiao, you mean...

Huifu Pavilion is crucial

to the opening of the Guiyue trade route.

I'm in real need of your support.

You can

represent the Yang family and set an example

for the other merchants.

Yang Master Yang Xiao, we've been taking

the official trade route.

And we've taken care of everything.

The new route you're working on...

This... Qingyue Mountain is a dangerous place, mind you.

This is too dangerous.

I don't agree.

So you're going to disobey me?

Now I wonder who the Huifu Pavilion belongs to.

Is it the Yangs or the Qians?

[Huifu Pavilion]

Please don't say that.

I'm doing this for the sake

of the Yang family's business.

I should thank you then.

But no more taking the official route

when delivering the Yang family's goods.

Only the path through the Qingyue Mountain is allowed.

I'll personally bring people

to open up the path if you are too cowardly for that.

Since you insisted,

then I shall

stop working.

We'll set off in five days.

Manager Qian, get ready.

It's not easy for me to come all the way here.

I'm tired. Let me enjoy a cup of tea.

Carry on, don't mind me.

[Qingyue Mountain]

Come take a look.

-Zi Yuan. -Mistress.

Did Yang Xiao

escort goods to Qingyue last night?

It's fine. Qingyue is not as scary as we thought.

Moreover, my buddies

are over there.

But my people saw that

Manager Qian delivered a secret message

with fireworks.

Today, my people heard

that Manager Qian was certain Yang Xiao will never return.

I'm afraid he will be in danger.

Zi Yuan, be careful!

Young Master, this doesn't feel right.

Gentlemen.

I am from the Huifu Pavilion.

I wonder if I have offended you.

If it is about money,

there are supplies and money

behind us.

You can have them all.

Liu Tiao,

seems like they are not coming for our goods.

I'll attack first.

You get out of here.

Young Master, live or die, I'm with you.

Young Master, run!

I'll look for help!

Yang Xiao.

-Zi Yuan? -Don't worry.

I won't let anything happen to you.

Hoodlums.

Show me what you can do.

They are good fighters. You are no match for them.

Don't underestimate the Yue Family Fist.

Are you two done?

No.

Let's go.

After them!

Let's go.

Yang Xiao, are you all right?

I'm fine.

How is Liu Tiao?

Has he escaped?

Don't worry. Their target is you.

I'm sure Liu Tiao is fine.

Let's find a place to hide.

Let's go.

Search there.

Okay.

Search properly. Look carefully.

Slow down.

They can't catch up

for the time being.

There.

Let's go.

Slow down.

What are you doing here?

Mistress told me that you might be in danger.

So I rushed here.

How do you feel?

Let me see.

Yang Xiao, you'll be all right.

It's a flesh wound, hang in there.

We're near Zheng Xiu's place.

I'll ask for her help.

No.

There are assassins out there.

They'll notice you if you go out.

Who are they?

Why do they want your lives?

I think it's Manager Qian.

Didn't Zheng Xiu tell us that

she thinks Manager Qian is fishy?

I went to his shop five days ago.

He was packing the goods.

I wanted to deliver them,

but he rejected me.

And now they want me dead.

I even implicated you.

How can you say that

at a time like this?

The most important thing now

is to find a way to escape.

Where did they go?

They won't be far. Let's look harder.

Look harder.

Search every nook and cranny.

Zi Yuan.

We might die here today.

But if we could make it out alive,

I'll break off my engagement.

I'll only marry you

as my wife in this life.

Don't be silly. We...

Zi Yuan.

You must live on.

I...

I am Yang Xiao.

If you want my life,

come and take it yourself.

After him!

[Righteousness Hall]

Chief, someone reports

that there is a fight at the Farewell Cliff

west to the Gu Village.

There are many casualties.

Such a thing

happens in my territory?

Let's go check it out.

Let's go!

Let's go!

Let's go!

Yang Xiao!

Attack.

Yang Xiao!

Yang Xiao!

Zi Yuan, don't come close.

Zi Yuan.

Live on for me.

Fulfil our wish.

Open up the new trade route.

-Yang Xiao! -Zi Yuan.

I love you.
