Some hotshot movie director is on her way here.

She's looking for an animal to co-star

beside a big movie star, Marley Morns!

-(Alex) Harley Horns? -(Ant'ney) That's the one!

(Melman) What a coincidence! He's got the same exact name as Alex's hero!

(Alex) Because he is my hero! Are you sure about this?

-(Ant'ney) Have I ever been wrong? -(all) Well...

-(Ant'ney) Don't answer. -(Marty) You've been dreaming about this

ever since I've known you.

(Alex) I've been dreaming about this ever since I've known me!

-(Ant'ney) There's the director! -(director) I'm loving William Flamingo.

And the sea lions are so talented,

not to mention adorable!

(director) I need an animal who can emote--

(Alex) That's not exactly what I had in mind, but it'll do!

Now there's an interesting animal.

This set's a never-ending maze of cheese fountain!

(assistant) Hey, food crew! The director wants her "usual", stat!

(Marty) The usual? What do you think that is?

(Gloria) If I know anything about showbiz, it's that "more is more".

Get her one of everything and dip it all in cheese!

(laughing)

A rising star is someone who knows

how to make an entrance,

find their light, and surprise the audience!

-All very hard, you know. -(Alex) Big entrance,

-(assistant) Alex, Harley! Time for set! -(Harley) Watch and learn.

(Alex) Woah! This is really happening! Woohoo!

(assistant) Wow! Save that sparkle for the camera,

the director's gonna want a closeup of that!

playing a dancing coffee bean, perhaps you recognize me.

(director) Places, for the big scene between Harley and his sidekick, Alex!

-(Marty) We wouldn't miss it! -(Alex) Wish me luck!

Harley! Guess what?

My friends came just in time for my big scene!

(Harley) About that big scene, you're in the wrong spot.

Why don't you take a few steps back.

(director) Who has that rewrite?

the bigger the entrance I'll make,

straight into that spotlight. Harley's a genius!

(director) Alright, quiet down everyone!

In this scene Harley's just saved New York

from the space caterpillars.

He looks to camera and gives 'em his trademark knowing wink.

Okay, people, places!

And... action!

(Alex groans)

(roar)

Cut! Cut! What just happened?

(Harley) What are you doing?

(Alex) I remembered what you said about making an entrance. So, I made one!

(Harley) You upstaged me!

Here comes the director now, she looks furious.

(director) That move! It was...

amazing!

This lion has such raw charm, everyone, take five!

I want to restage the scene and put Alex in the spotlight!

(grunt)

(Alex) Haha...

(Melman) Bravo!

(Marty) Way to go! Everybody loved it.

(Alex) I'm not sure everybody loved it...

(sigh)

(Alex) Harley? Sorry if my entrance was too big.

I just wanted to follow your advice,

I hope you're not upset.

(Harley) Why would I be upset?

I just came back to my dressing room

to relax in my one-of-a-kind space cocoon.

(Alex) So cool.

Maybe someday I'll do a scene where I escape

from a giant space cocoon...

(Harley) Mm... Why wait for someday?

It's your dream to be the next Harley Horns, right?

-Why not try it now? -(Alex) In it? Really?

-(Harley) Yeah, go for it. -(Alex) Thanks!

(Melman) The space caterpillar got Alex!

(Gloria) What are you doing? They're about to shoot your big scene.

(director) We don't have time for this! Where's the stunt double?

Are you feeling sick?

Is this a run of the mill hair ball situation,

or is this little guy really sick?

Hmm. He doesn't have a fever.

But I should take him back to the habitat

just to be safe.

(laugh)

(Melman) Poor Alex. What awful luck,

to get sick the day his dream is coming true.

And I'll need your help giving it to him.

He is not a fan of cold medicine.

(Alex) Ah!

(Kate) Huh? Never mind.

It looks like he's feeling better.

Whatever bug he had, seems to have cleared up.

(Marty) That was some of the best acting I've seen you do!

(Gloria) But why did you pretend to be sick?

(Melman) And give up your shot at being in the movie?

(Alex) Harley was right when he said

that I don't have what it takes to be a movie star.

-(Melman & Marty) He said what? -(Gloria) Harley Horns is behind this?

(Melman) I don't care what that big bully says, my friend Alex is a star.

(Marty) You are Alex the Lion!

You belong on center stage.

(Alex) Thanks, but I can't go back there and face him.

(Gloria) Then we'll face him together.

-(Harley) Huh? -(Alex) And don't worry, I didn't give up on my dreams.

(Harley) That's ridiculous, being like me is how you become a star.

Let me tell you a story...

I was a young calf on my first acting job.

He was a movie star yak, his name was Bob.

Bob bullied and teased me, made me feel so small.

(Alex) By not bullying anyone ever again.

(Melman) And by letting Alex shoot his big scene in the movie!

(Harley) That's a great idea.

(Alex) You heard the director. They're finished filming. It's too late.

(Harley) Not when you have friends...

(Harley) We have a few minutes, let's go!

(cheering)

-(Gloria) Is camera ready? -(Marty) Ready! Melman, ready on the sound?

(Gloria) Actors on your marks.

(giggle)

In this scene, Harley, you've just saved some puppies

from an alien caterpillar spacecraft.

You turn to Alex, your sidekick, and you say...

(Harley) Cut! Actually...

I think Alex should be the hero in this scene.

-(Alex) Really? -(Gloria) Aw, that's a sweet idea.

Now let's take it from the top! And action!

(assistant) And then I said, "You can peel your own grapes"!

(laugh)

(director) Mhm.

What on earth is happening on set?

Hey, who left this camera on?

Wonder what they were shooting...

Wow!

(Marty) I can't wait to see Alex's big moment!

(Gloria) Oh! Here it comes, Alex, your big scene!

(Alex) Ah!

(cheering)

(Marty) Good job, Alex!

(Murray) Shh. Huh?

(laugh)

-Millie! -(Millie) Shh, you're ruining the movie!

(Melman) Eh, don't worry, they're just star struck.

(Harley) Yeah, by Alex the Lion!
