[ Love and Destiny ]

[ Episode 51 ]

[Fuyun Hall]

Ling Xi, I knew that you would not die.

Senior Deity possesses remarkable abilities. He surely will not let anything bad happen to you.

Shisan, let us leave first.

That...how come after just going down and making one round,

you returned as a high god already? Such good luck.

Senior Deity, I also want to go down and experience my tribulation.

Better if I can have 80 tribulations in one life.

This way, I would be more awesome than Heavenly Supreme Lord.

- Ling Xi, I— - Shisan.

Senior Deity, we still have some minor things to do. We will take our leave now.

- What did you want to tell me last time? - I don't have anything to tell you. - That thing you were saying.

I want—

Senior Deity, I will take my leave.

Come over here.

While in the mortal world, I could not hear your heartbeat.

I thought you were sick.

Does it hurt?

How could it not hurt? You were so silly.

Say, what are they talking about inside?

Ling Xi has not returned for so long. She has not chatted with us yet.

What is there to talk about with just the two of them?

Shisan, if you want to know, go in and take a look. What can you hear by staying outside?

Why not you go in yourself?

Me? I still want to live.

General Kaiyang, you said that State Preceptor Jingxiu of Shanling Tribe

gave his own life bead to Ling Xi. Is that true?

It is true. I saw it myself.

That life bead is where their life's true energy is kept.

If he gave it to Lingxi, it would cause great harm to his body. Did he not get injured?

How could he not? He was badly battered.

He was like a blood man.

Huayan, you seemed very concerned about this State Preceptor Jingxiu.

No. I just...feel that...

Since that State Preceptor Jingxiu gave Ling Xi his life bead,

he must like her a lot.

When Ling Xi's body died, he was in great grief.

Then, he just fainted. He must like her a lot.

What is the use? He dared to steal Senior Deity's woman.

Does he not want to live anymore?

State Preceptor, I brought a witch doctor.

Let her examine you.

You are severely wounded.

State Preceptor, the Spirit-Binding Abyss has been closed.

We have captured most of Zhonghao's men.

Those who luckily escaped are not enough to cause future troubles.

Just that State Master Lingyue...

State Master Lingyue is severely wounded and is still unconscious.

She has been settled down in her chambers.

As for what to do, please instruct us.

State Preceptor.

State Preceptor, Demon Lord has been killed.

This means that Miss Lin Mo

has successfully passed her tribulation. She did not die.

What did you say?

Miss Lin Mo did not die.

A'Mo did not die?

Right.

Did not die?

Where is she?

Where?

Heavenly Palace. She must be in Heavenly Palace.

How come she did not return?

Jiuchen.

You created all these.

It was you who took my A'Mo away.

Witch doctor, take care.

What is wrong with State Preceptor?

This is his heart's knot. Figuring it out

will be better for him.

What is most important now is State Master Lingyue.

If she safely wakes up,

we would be in great danger.

State Master!

State Master.

What is wrong with State Master?

State Master.

Has the witch doctor come?

He said that State Master was under the Soul Absorption Spell for too long and it harmed her primordial energy.

Then after, she got severely wounded. She is at her last breath.

If not because of her Phoenix Tribe blood protecting her body,

she would have died long ago.

Who wants to hear those nonsense?

Let me ask you this. Did the witch doctor say

when State Master will wake up?

He also did not say. He only said to use high-grade red sage to continue her life.

Maybe with her strong power, she would wake up on her own.

Nonsense!

Let me ask you, who delivered State Master here?

Heavenly Palace's God of War.

I heard that it was State Preceptor who killed Zhonghao.

Together with God of War, they saved State Master.

Jingxiu?

Yes.

It was really thanks to State Preceptor for making a move. Not only did he kill the rebel Zhonghao,

he also saved State Master's life from below the Spirit-Binding Abyss. Just that he also was severely wounded.

Since returning, he summoned the witch doctor to examine him.

Until now, he never came out to see anyone.

I also heard that State Preceptor Jingxiu has found the biological daughter of State Master,

Princess Ling Xi.

Ling Xi?

Senior Deity...

Remember this.

The one who lived with you

in the Peach Flower Lodge,

the one who sewed you clothing and cooked for you,

the mortal who was wiling to be your wife,

her name is Lin Mo.

The girl you have been waiting

is called Ling Xi.

Ling Xi. Are you asleep?

Senior Deity.

You are looking for Ling Xi?

She must be sleeping.

It is already very late. You should rest early.

Senior Deity, you do your thing then.

I will sleep now.

Senior Deity.

I am not hungry.

You are already a high god. You can survive your days just by absorbing the essence of the sun and moon.

Of course, you will not feel hungry.

This is the marrow of a jade stone, the essence of jade from the underground palace of the Western Seas.

It stabilizes your foundation and nourishes your energy. A good medicine that can consolidate your cultivation level.

You just got promoted to a high god.

Taking this in would be beneficial to you.

This medicine is very cold. Drink slowly.

Senior Deity, I am tired.

Yuantong, you belittled the Heavenly Laws,

willfully committed violent acts, killed your comrades.

Based on those crimes, you should have been executed.

But Heavenly Emperor considered how your Yuan Clan

contributed to the Heavenly Court

so you are being punished to be rid of your immortal bone,

removed from the immortal ranks, and banished to the mortal world.

You will never be allowed to return to the Heavenly Court.

You have not much time left here in Nine Heavens.

Do you have anything you want to say?

Your Yuan Clan has been wise for generations.

Never thought it would get destroyed in your hands.

I have some words for you.

When you reach the mortal world, be good.

Do not repeat your mistakes.

Senior Deity.

When in the mortal world, you would call me Jiuchen.

That was Lin Mo from the mortal world. She does not know the rules.

Between us today,

do we still need any rules?

You are leaving.

Where are you going? Peach Forest?

Senior Deity, I found my mother.

Do you know that she is in the Shanling Region?

Since little, I was separated from her.

I was never by her side for even a day.

For the future days, I want to accompany her more.

Will you stll come back?

Can I visit you?

No need.

You had a hard time this past period of time.

It seems like since you met me,

you did not have any good days.

For several times, it had been near-death experiences with huge amount of energy losses.

Now, everything is in the past.

Why not just calm your mind and focus on cultivating?

I did not find it hard.

But I am already tired.

Senior Deity,

I am Ling Xi,

but I am also Lin Mo.

Consecutively going through three tribulations

would make you feel a bit tired.

You would frequently unable to discern who you really are.

I need some time to sort out my thoughts.

Look. From life until death, the Zhuri Bird

has been pursuing the sun.

Do now know if...

If there will be one day that it would finally come round

and want to stop for a while.

Senior Deity.

You once told me

that love is not the only thing in this world.

A person's standpoint, perseverance,

and responsibility are also important.

The past Ling Xi was willful. She was not able to practice her filial duties to her father when he was still alive.

Now, the Heaven was merciful to me and gave me a mother.

That is why, Senior Deity,

I am leaving.

♫ Every strength and weakness, all cast aside, all pressed down firmly are yours. ♫

♫ Every frown and smile, every word and action are in a dream. ♫

♫ All of them sad and happy, intoxicated and sober, growing and multiplying without end. ♫

♫ Beautiful and incomparable. ♫

Senior Deity, take care.

♫ All of the grass and trees were in harmony, and one flower to protect every living being ♫

♫ Every front line's dart, every sword, every spear seem to join with my bones to leave a lasting mark ♫

♫ As I participate in, not pass through this mystery ♫

With my mother gravely injured, who is taking care of her?

State Master was gravely injured and has been unconscious since.

The witch doctor has seen her many times and was out of ideas to cure her. It has been Grandma Shi who is taking care of her.

Where is Brother Jingxiu?

State Preceptor got injured while pacifying the rebellion.

Brother Jingxiu is hurt? Where is he hurt? Is it serious?

Princess, I do not know it very well. Since he returned, he has never come out of his dwelling.

He also has never summoned anyone.

Princess! Are we not here to visit State Master?

We want to have an audience with State Preceptor!

We must have an audience with State Preceptor!

Why are you not allowing us to see State Preceptor?

- We have important matters to report to him. - Right.

I have already said that State Preceptor is wounded. It is inconvenient for him to see you all.

If you need anything,

I can relay it to him.

The Shanling Tribe has just gone through a disaster that almost destroyed our state.

The masterminds of everything are Zhonghao and Heichi.

Now that Zhonghao is dead, Heichi...

He suddenly became a meritorious subject who helped destroy the demons.

He even took over Tianxi Palace's

guarding duties.

This was arranged by State Preceptor.

He will give everyone an explanation later on.

No! I want to see State Preceptor now and clarify this matter.

Heichi has done so many evil deeds and killed so many.

To say that he has deflected to us with sincerity, I will never believe that!

Right. I do not believe it!

Do not believe it.

Shanling Tribe has just survived a great disaster. There are still so many things waiting to be done.

We need someone right now to manage the state affairs

and to placate the citizens. Now, our State Master is still unconscious.

State Preceptor is also heavily wounded.

How should we move forward?

What is the true status of State Preceptor's injuries?

When can he start doing court sessions to manage state affairs?

When will he execute the traitor? We should at least have some regulations.

Yes. Yes.

Is State Preceptor awake? Can he attend court meetings?

We should at least be informed about these, right?

Right, give us details!

These people... When Zhonghao attacked,

each one fled faster than the other.

Now, they are showing loyalty that can move the heaven and earth.

State Preceptor, when State Master was in power,

she accused you of crimes and imprisoned you.

If those ministers harbor any evil thoughts, they totally could use that matter to harm you.

Once State Master wakes up, I fear that everything would be too late.

State Preceptor.

A human must go through three tribulations and eight sufferings in his lifetime.

The more with gods.

Just one setback and you are staggering, unwilling to move forward. This is not you.

What do you want to say?

I want to say

that you should take this chance to change the ruling situation here in Shanlign Tribe.

If not, great disaster is looming.

Miss Lin Mo and Miss Ling Xi are of one being,

she is then our tribe's princess.

She will come back sooner or later.

Are you going to wait for her return

at your current state?

We must see State Preceptor today or else, we are not leaving!

Right! We must see State Preceptor!

No, whatever you say today, we will have an audience with State Preceptor!

- Right! - Who dares to?

Right. We must have an audience with State Preceptor.

We are important ministers of Shanling Tribe while you are just a general.

You dare act wildly towards us?

If he does not dare, what about me?

Greetings, Princess.

Brother Jingxiu was injured because of suppressing the demons.

You all come here to disturb his recuperation.

What do you all want?

Princess, not that we want to disturb the peaceful recuperation of State Preceptor,

but he really is needed to handle the current circumstances.

Right, Princess. State Preceptor needs to come out and handle them.

You are right.

A'Mo will return sooner or later.

I will wait for her.

Wait for her return.

This is...

This is...the might of a high god.

State Preceptor has become a high god!

State Preceptor is a high god now...

Greetings, State Preceptor.

Brother Jingxiu, are you alright now?

State Preceptor has gone into seclusion for three days and has now reached the high god level.

In behalf of all our tribesmen, I congratulate you, State Preceptor.

Heaven has blessed our tribe. Congratulations, State Preceptor.

Congratulations, Brother Jingxiu.

Heaven has blessed our tribe. Congratulations, State Preceptor.

You all come with me to see State Master.

Yes!

I am going too.

You stay and wait for me here.

Brother Jingxiu.

Grandma Shi, State Preceptor has led a group of senior ministers to this direction.

What?

State Preceptor Jingxiu.

Has State Master woken up?

She just took her medicine and went to sleep again.

I am going in to see her.

State Preceptor, please stay.

The witch doctor instructed that she needed quiet rest and should not be disturbed.

I am just visiting her and will not disturb her.

I know your good intentions,

but every profession has its respective expertise. Although you have outstanding magical power,

you still are not a witch doctor, hence, not knowledgeable about medical skills.

Even if you visit her, you cannot do anything to cure her.

I heard that you were also heavily wounded while fighting the rebels.

Why not use this chance to nurse your health?

Our Shanling Tribe went through such a catastrophe.

State Master is unconscious. There are still a lot of state affairs

that we would need to rely on you.

Hope you take good care of yourself.

If I really want to go in,

what can you do?

Reporting!

Informing State Preceptor, Fairy Ling Xi from Peach Forest is requesting an audience with State Master.

She is now outside the main palace hall.

A'Mo!

A'Mo.

I am back.

State Preceptor Jingxiu.

Good that you are back...

Are your injuries okay now?

I am very well.

I am also very well.

- State Preceptor. - State Preceptor.

This one is

the biological daughter of State Master Lingyue,

the princess of our Shanling Tribe,

Princess Ling Xi.

Greetings, Princess!

Greetings, Princess!

I want to see my mother. Is she okay?

Mother.

I am Ling Xi.

Mother.

State Master has injuries to begin with.

She was no match for Zhonghao.

When she got captured, just to fool the other officials and the Heavenly Race,

he used the Soul Absorption Technique to control State Master.

This caused her spirit and soul to be greatly damaged.

All was my fault.

If not for me, my mother would not have been injured.

This matter is not related to you.

Do not blame yourself.

The high ministers and the leaders of the different subtribes have left.

State Preceptor, you suddenly increased to the high god level.

State Master is also still unconscious. They must have been frightened.

State Preceptor, Heichi was right.

State Master is not stupid.

She will figure it out soon that we allowed Zhonghao

to take over the Shanling Tribe and open the Spirit-Binding Abyss.

Our motive was to kill Yuandu for vengeance.

Once she wakes up, she will not let us off.

State Preceptor, Princess Ling Xi is now guarding by State Master's side.

What should we do?

A'Mo is our Shanling Tribe's princess.

It is just right for her to live here.

As for Lingyue, she is A'Mo's mother.

When Le Bo died, A'Mo lost her father.

We cannot let her grieve anymore.

- But— - No buts.

Lingyue cannot be killed.

Just let her continue living like that.

Tell the witch doctor to see me.

Everything has passed.

Now, the Demon Lord has disappeared from the Six Realms.

This is the great fortune of all citizens, of all living beings.

Jiuchen, you did well.

It was you who was benevolent. I dare not take credit.

Jiuchen, you have worked hard these past days.

But good thing, the rain has passed and the sky is clear now.

Your wish can be said to have been fulfilled too.

Oh right. Is Ling Xi still in Fuyun Hall?

She has returned to the Shanling Realm.

Right. She is Lingyue's daughter.

She naturally should go home.

As for the Shanling Tribespeople,

Lingyue was controlled by the Soul Absorption Technique for a long time.

Her spirit was greatly damaged.

She also was injured by Zhonghao.

I heard that she is still unconscious until now.

Her situation is not optimistic.

But good thing, the Shanling Tribe still has a State Preceptor Jingxiu.

I heard that this time, it was also him who pulled strongly against a crazy tide

to stop Zhonghao from opening the gates of the netherworld.

Now, the Spirit-Binding Abyss has been closed and its great barrier has been reactivated.

We have avoided a great disaster.

Senior Deity.

I told you to monitor the Shanling Tribe. How are things now?

The situation inside is still quite stable.

Jingxiu has given successive orders about pursuing the other rebels,

placating the citizens, and reestablishing the might of the court.

Looking at the current situation, there seems to be nothing fishy.

Just that Heichi not only was rid of any crimes, he even took hold of the lead guarding duty of Tianxi Palace.

There are also a lot of objections in their court about this.

But pressured by the power of Jingxiu, none dare to challenge him about this.

What about Ling Xi?

After arriving there, she stayed in Tianxi Palace to take care of Lingyue.

She has never gone out to walk around.

Oh right. I heard that Jingxiu locked himself in his house for several days.

He then got enlightened and was promoted to the high god level. I do not know if this is true.

It might also just be fake news to stabilize the court situation.

High god?

It probably is true.

His cultivation is just a step away from the high god level to begin with.

Continue monitoring. If there are any changes,

immediately inform me.

Yes.

Interesting.

This book says that there was this scholar from Great Yue State.

He would always hold a scroll, very diligent in his study.

One day, he suddenly became unconscious.

His mother thought that he contracted some strange illness.

She then searched all doctors she can find but all were unable to do anything.

Guess what happened next.

This...

When the scholar woke up, he said

that he was in a dream for the past three years.

He followed an immortal teacher and learned skills from him.

And this journey lasted for three thousand years.

He returned home after he was able to succeed in his training.

Of course, others did not believe it.

This scholar then showcased his power and took his families

to fly to the sky with him.

Even the chicken and dog from his house

went to the immortal realm.

Tell me, could this be true?

This...

State Preceptor, majority of mystery stories from the mortal world

is just made up. Do not believe them.

I instead think that it is believable.

Our State Master has been unconscious for so long.

Tell me, could her soul

have gone to this place beyond our world?

This...

State Master has been controlled with the Soul Absorption Technique for so long

and then injured by Zhonghao.

Her spirit is gravely damaged and she also suffered serious internal injuries.

To be unconscious is also...

is also expected.

How come a mere mortal can travel the immortal realm in his dreams?

Our State Master is the descendant of the Phoenix,

of noble status, and is also of high god level.

You think that she is not worthy to have this good luck

of flying to a place beyond this world?

This...

Or are you hiding some thoughts

of destroying this good fate

of State Master?

I...

I... dare not.

Even if I allow you, I know you would not dare.

No matter if State Master is really injured or her soul is just traveling the world beyond,

all is part of her fate.

I am not telling you to do anything that will harm your master.

I just want you to change your medical prescription

and not use any strong medicines

that can stimulate State Master's soul, forcing her to wake up.

Help her peacefully sleep in her dream,

slowly nourishing her spirit.

Do you understand?

I...

I understand.

Zhenjun.

That is the whole story behind the disappearance of the Heart-Assembling Nail.

I am sure

that this person is from our Heavenly Palace.

She is a spy arranged by the remnants of the Demon Tribe.

What you want to say are just these?

To tell you the truth, the guard from the South Gate of Heaven

has already reported this matter to me.

I also have sent my men to investigate it.

If there are no other things,

you can leave.

Zhenjun, I have one more matter.

I feel that

Demon Lord will not disappear that easily.

I once saw him and know what kind of being he is.

There was a bit of his primordial energy inside Ling Xi's body.

Its disappearance indeed would affect one's cultivation.

But, how could it cause Demon Lord to disappear too?

This is illogical.

I feel that there must be an evil scheme behind this.

Maybe, it is related to that Ling Xi.

She is great at pretending and bewitching other people's hearts.

Shut up!

Yuantong, you should have been driven to the mortal world sooner.

In consideration of your Yuan Clan

protecting the Six Realms for thousands of years,

I agreed to listen to you.

Never thought that at this point,

you still are obstinately persisting with your wrong ways.

Yes, I do not like Jiuchen and that young immortal.

I was afraid that they will delay serious work because of their affection to each other,

allow Demon Lord to escape and wreak havoc to the world.

I have no selfish reasons at all.

While you, because of your mother's death,

you held a huge grudge against the people of Peach Forest, repeatedly committing grave mistakes.

You even were able to kill your own subordinates and trusted aids.

That is becoming crazy and cruel. What is your difference with a demon?

What is a demon?

Harboring evil thoughts is being a demon.

Harboring hatred and evil desires is being a demon.

Having no lower conscience limit, behaving unscrupulously,

cruelly harming any living being is being the demon among demons!

Heavenly Emperor is already benevolent to you.

If it was me the one sentencing you,

I would have locked you up in Demon Tower forever!

Would I still give you a chance to become a human in the mortal world?

Let me warn you one last time.

When you go down the mortal world this time,

if you dare to incite trouble again,

I will never go soft on you.

I surely will destroy your soul and spirit,

never be reincarnated!

Ziguang. Ziguang!

Here.

Immediately send her to the mortal realm!

Yes.

General Yuantong, please.
