[ Episode 32 ]

Eat.

Eat.

Thank you for the meal.

Yunfeng. Later, call Kaiyang and Hanzhang to have a meeting with me in Fuyun Hall.

Yes.

Siming, go to the mortal world on my behalf.

I have already planted the five senses

in an abandoned courtyard by the sea.

Think of a way to lead Ling Xi and make her settle down there.

Once I am done with the affairs here, I will personally go there.

Yes. Senior Deity, do not worry.

What is Ling Xi's second trial?

I do not know.

Creation and destruction are both tribulations. Life and death, both are trials.

If the heavens and earth change things, it's called a great tribulation. (T/N or a disaster, e.g. flood/famine)

The overturning of one's beliefs is called a minor trial.

While the disaster has not struck, it's hard to know its appearance.

It surely will just fall within being born, aging, getting sick, dying, happiness, anger, sorrow, or joy.

Senior Deity, we must not peek at Heaven's Will. Let us just silently observe and adapt.

I will leave then.

Senior Deity!

Senior Deity! I, Yuantong, admit my mistakes!

You're here. Come, slowly.

Buyer, your stocks are complete. Please check them again.

No need. No need.

We've worked together for so long. I believe you.

Be careful.

How do you sell these vegetables?

Two coins for one bundle. Look at how fresh these vegetables are.

I guarantee their freshness.

Have a look.

Make way! Make way!

Buy some!

Move aside! Move aside!

Have a look!

Move aside!

Are you deaf? I told you to move aside!

Forget it.

Miss, be careful when you walk.

Let's go.

Move aside!

Make way!

Miss, are you alright?

Take this.

Take it! Take it!

No. No.

No? Why not?

He gave it to you, so take it.

There are so many people here and it's very messy. Be careful.

Thank you.

You're welcome.

Take care.

Thank you.

This is not bad.

What is this for?

I can talk?

Can I talk now?

No.

Have a look, Miss.

No...

No...

Come take a look.

No.

Hurry! Hurry!

- Thank you. - Those are all from this year.

It's too expensive. Can you lower the price?

Ri...rice.

White....white...white...

Miss, why don't I predict your fortune?

Miss, you have a shallow fate with your family, have a lot of obstacles in life, and you have just escaped from death.

You also traveled thousands of li alone to come here.

You are even a woman, hence, your future is hard to fathom.

Don't you want to look at how you should walk your future path?

I only have this much money.

I can't understand sign language.

I... only... have this much.

I... initially... could not talk.

Suddenly... I can.

You should ask a doctor about that.

Come, Miss, have a seat.

What do you want to ask?

Sit down.

Miss, what do you want to ask?

You are a woman, so don't bother asking about achievements and fame.

Your parents and relatives, your marriage and children fate, any blessings or disasters,

don't you want to know?

I... do not know...

where to go.

That's right then.

Come, write your name and birth date.

Here.

[ Every prediction is accurate ]

Your fate is that of a side official, very fierce and ominous.

Wealth and food fortune are not compatible, and loved ones will leave you.

Minor presentation will be toilsome work, being oppressed, getting sick or hurt.

Major presentation includes severe illness, causing disabilities and endangering your life.

Hurting your loved ones, hurting yourself, hurting...

Even just sitting in front of you, I am frightened!

Miss, this fate of yours is so overbearing!

But Miss, no need to worry too much. This world has an order,

yin and yang has its limit, a side official can be controlled.

As long as you can find the method to control and balance it, you can resolve your ominous fortune

and live the rest of your days peacefully.

You were born in yi-mao, the fifty-second year of the sexagenary cycle. (T/N sixty year cycle of two cycles together, 10 heavenly stems, 12 zodiac symbols, the basis of the Chinese lunar calendar and astrology/fortunetelling)

A life fated to be lived by great streams or body of water.

Water is north, gold is west. Water coming from gold, obtaining gold to live. (T/N from the Eight Trigrams)

Miss, you can head northwest.

Look for a place surrounded by water with a view of the mountains, with stormy waves surging to the sky,

with cold light shining through a thousand li of green peaks,

a courtyard with trees and blossoming flowers.

You can then find happiness and peace there, feel at home and be nourished, no need to wander anymore.

Do you understand?

Miss, a moment of straitened circumstances and sadness does not mean that there is no more hope in this life.

You are a person with great fortune. You are destined to be accompanied by a benefactor.

This person will appear by your side soon.

Miss, you must gather your mind and calm yourself, patiently wait for him.

I cannot take your money.

I was destined to make this prediction for you.

Thank you.

You are welcome. Quickly go. Northwest direction. Beside the mountains and water.

There's tree and flowers. That's where you should make your home.

Go.

Northwest?

Northwest direction. There's flowers and trees.

Better if it's a peach tree.

Go.

[ Every prediction is accurate ]

You again!

Auntie.

You are... that...

fortune-teller?

Sorry.

May I ask...

if you know any place nearby

where I can temporarily rest my feet?

I do.

Where?

You can rest anywhere.

I was joking.

There is an old house up ahead,

but it has been deserted for years.

There are no coverings to block the wind or rain.

After several years of rain, it has been left in a dilapidated state.

You cannot even find a place to step into, so do not even talk about resting your feet.

But if you do not mind, you can go check it.

Where... is it?

Just up ahead, less than a one li walk. (T/N 1 Li = 1/2 km = 3/10 of a US mile)

There is a peach tree in its garden. It is very easy to find.

Peach tree?

Peach tree.

Thank you.

You...

Nothing.

[ Peach Blossom Lodge ]

Northwest direction. There's flowers and trees. ♫ A blossom has been opening quietly over the years ♫

Better if it's a peach tree. ♫ You're disturbing my thoughts, troubling me even far away at night ♫

♫ But even so, my heart is not distracted ♫

♫ Whether going to the highest heaven, tethering the moon ♫

♫ Or entering the world of mortals, smiling and discussing unimportant matters ♫

♫ It's only because for my heart's been targeted from the sky! ♫

♫ Desiring to enclose your hand to warm it up in my pocket, and join the mortal world ♫

♫ Desiring to warm ourselves by the fire, dressed in clothes less fancy but well-fitted ♫

Clothes. ♫ Desiring light words like rice, grain by grain, to boil finally into sweet talk ♫

♫ Desiring you and I be written into the Will of Heaven ♫

♫ Every time you take refuge from the world ♫

Blanket. ♫ Whether half-resting on clouds of smoke from kitchen chimneys asleep, or entering an exquisite park ♫

How come? ♫ Your winning countenance is that of the Peach Blossoms Spring's orioles and swallows (T/N hidden land of prosperity and peace, a utopia) ♫

♫ Not hearing news of you from outside the shuttered window, is like thousands of sharp cold blades striking me ♫

♫ Every time you take refuge from the world ♫

♫ Burning sticks of incense before a temple, to share this life with a beautiful woman ♫

♫ An unfinished cup of tea, as its fragrance winds around me like a longevity knot ♫

♫ Flying wing to wing with you year after year, you are as ageless as springtime ♫

♫ Forming our bond while among the common folk, while next to the mouth of a spring ♫

♫ Forcing streaming torrents from my heart to pour into the fields of my dreams ♫

Hey! Evil man! Quickly let me go!

You dare capture me? Do you want to die?

Do you hear me? Quickly release me!

Hey!

Stop shouting. Conserve your energy.

Why don't you just kill me?

If you want to die, better to die full.

I am not eating!

Talk. Where is Jingxiu?

I already told you that I do not know.

You think I will still believe you?

I really do not know!

I was only worried, so I came to the mortal world to check.

I am not lying. Stop making me stoop so low.

Brother Jingxiu cares about me so much.

If you capture him, he surely will come out to save me.

If you want to find him, just wait.

Do you have any water?

It's you?

Doctor, please come in.

[ Doctor Sun ]

His pulse... is still quite stable.

He is just a little weak.

How did he hurt his eyes?

Is he your loved one?

Miss Lin, how could you bring just anyone into your house?

What if you encounter a bad person?

I think he is not evil.

You are a lady. You must be more vigilant.

He is awake! He is awake!

Fine. Let me examine him.

Who are you?

- Doctor Sun! Doctor Sun! - Painful! Painful! Quickly let go of my hand!

How painful!

Such great strength!

- Really? - I think he has recovered well enough!

He does not need any medicine. I'm serious. I will take my leave.

Really so sorry.

He is not your anything, so why apologize?

Miss Lin, let me give you a piece of advice.

You might know a person by face, but you can never know his heart. You saved his life

and even spent money to get him a doctor?

You have already exerted utmost kindness.

Since he is now awake,

quickly ask him to leave.

Be careful! Are you alright?

It's you?

You r-remember me?

Where am I?

You can say that it is my house.

Young Lord, did you meet some bad people?

How did you hurt your eyes?

The doctor said only once we know how they were hurt can they be cu—

Don't touch me!

None of your business.

There are steps. I will assist you.

Thank you.

Do not follow me.

Weird man.

Seriously!

Sorry! Are you alright?

My Lord, you cannot see?

It is raining hard. Where do you live?

Let me take you home.

- My Lord, why don't you tell me where you are going? - Leave!

It is raining.

No matter where you are going,

just leave once the rain has stopped.

Why not go back with me first?

My Lord, punish us! We were incapable! We weren't able to keep watch of the Princess.

Have you searched nearby?

We did. W-We could not find her.

You are still not hurrying off to search?

If you are unable to find her, do not come back to see me!

- Yes! - Yes!

Still no news on Jingxiu?

Savior, Jingxiu's qihai acupoint has been destroyed,

his magic is gone, and he is now blind.

He totally is just a useless thing now. I do not think we should still worry about him.

He must die.

He was turned by me to a useless person like that, yet he was still able to escape prison.

Is that someone we should not worry about?

I will personally go look for him.

Savior, calm down!

Savior, we still need you to be in command here in Shanling Tribe.

Just let me handle Jingxiu's matter.

In attacking the Shanling Tribe, we have made grand movements.

I fear that not long from now,

the Heavenly Race will receive the news. I fear that—

No need for you to worry about that.

I have a countermeasure ready.

Yes.

Adoptive Father! I brought you a gift.

Lingyue's daughter.

This is Lingyue's daughter?

Her adopted daughter.

What's wrong with her?

She misbehaved, so I taught her a little lesson.

You said that Jingxiu will return for her?

With his current ability, he wouldn't dare return.

But if he finds reinforcements,

this one would be his weakness.

Good.

Watch this little lady well.

Do not neglect her.

Yes.

Men! Anyone out there! Men! Anyone out there!

Brother Jingxiu,

where really are you?

You... are awake?

I will change your dressing.

The doctor said that you must frequently change your wound dressing.

It's much better.

Painful?

Please endure it a little. I will just apply the ointment.

This medicine is effective.

How long was I unconscious?

Half a month.

It's done.

Have a rest.

Thank you!

As ordered by the State Master of Shanling,

God of War Jiuchen is not allowed to enter the territory of our Shanling Tribe by half a step.

Senior Brother.

Take Kaiyang and Hanzhang in to check.

- Then you... - I'll be here waiting for you.

Remember, the Demon Tribe is cunning.

After you enter, investigate it clearly before coming out.

- Yes. - Yes.

Can I go in then?

Let's go!

State Master of Shanling.

Our race learned that an evil man has incited a disturbance in your nation, that the citizens are fleeing.

Heavenly Emperor has made a decree ordering God of War to lead a war troop here and provide reinforcement.

How dare you!

You just killed my daughter.

You still dare to step into my main hall?

State Master of Shanling, please appease your anger.

Zhonghao is a descendant of my Heavenly Race too.

With him inciting such a huge disturbance,

it is justifiable for my Heavenly Race to send a troop to pacify the uprising.

Hope State Master will not involve the innocent civilians

into your private grudge.

We came here this time as decreed by Heavenly Emperor

and also out of kind intentions.

Our Heavenly Race and your Shanling Tribe

have shared glory and humiliation, coexisted side by side for tens of thousands of years.

State Master, no need for you to act like this.

You do not plan to halt any interaction with our Heavenly Race just because of this matter, right?

Moreover, if you do not allow us to inspect,

how can we go back to report our mission?

Then, we can only keep staying here

until we find your Shanling Tribe really safe before leaving.

You can inspect.

Everyone from the Heavenly Race can freely move around

my Shanling Tribe like before,

but...

as long as I am alive,

Jiuchen will never be allowed to step into our territory. If he dares to come,

I surely will use the strength of my whole tribe to execute him here

and seek vengeance for my daughter!

I will do...as I have said.

Thank you, Shanling State Master.

Is he better?

His injuries have more or less fully recovered.

Just that I really cannot do anything about his eye injury.

It also cannot be cured in the future?

I also am not sure. Now that things have come to this, no need to rush it anymore.

Just feed him more seafood.

Maybe one day, he'll be cured?

I will take my leave.

What's wrong?

- I will call the doctor. - No!

I am fine. I am fine.

I am fine.

Water.

Do you feel better?

I heard that doctor earlier call you "Miss A'Mo".

Your name is A'Mo, am I right?

My surname is Lin, full name Lin Mo.

Miss Lin. I have troubled you these past days.

I am fine now.

Go do your work.

Do you still need anything from me?

Your name is...

I'm Jingxiu.

Lord Jingxiu.

I am not some lord.

Brother Jingxiu?

Yes.
