[Walk into Your Memory]

[Episode 16]

Tell me.

Why are you here?

If you're here...

for Hao Qian's marriage,

I think we do not have to discuss again.

I want to transfer half of...

Long Teng Group's share to you.

What do you mean?

I've prepared the contract.

You just have to sign it.

What are you trying to do?

I'm old now.

I do not want to worry about things.

This is what I owe you.

Don't feel stressed about this.

Just accept it with a peace of mind.

Are you trying...

to play tricks on me?

Ya Ruo.

Please call me Mdm. Lin.

I can swear to God that...

I'm doing this sincerely.

Could it be that...

something happened to Long Teng Group...

and so you're here looking for me?

Whatever you say.

I'll leave the contract here.

Just get someone to pass me the contract after you sign it.

I hope that...

you can consider this...

and accept it.

Wait a minute.

Whatever purpose you have,

I can clearly tell you that...

I do not want to have any connection with Long Teng Group.

Take the contract back.

I won't accept it.

Okay.

Feel free to come to me...

when you've thought this through.

I'll keep this one for you.

You can take it whenever you want.

I won't go back on my word.

Don't work too hard.

An Ning!

Xia Tian, why are you here?

Have a guess.

I'll leave this to you.

You two, please help her.

I have something else to deal with.

You go and get busy then.

I'll go and change my clothes.

An Ning.

Get me clothes too.

I don't have great cooking skills like you do,

but I played the role of a waitress for many times.

Perhaps...

with this familiar face around,

you'll get customers.

There's still no customer.

Business is slow.

Chef.

Why did you come here?

I came to have a look.

Get busy with your work.

Why did you come here?

I don't feel at ease staying in the hospital.

How are things going?

Okay, go get busy with your work then.

I'm going to change my clothes.

What should I get busy with?

You don't have to change clothes either.

Why?

Can't you see?

There's no customer at all.

Shouldn't we do something to get customers back?

We still have to work when there's no customer!

Gosh, you guys are really...

Why are you criticising me?

The chef is back!

What are you doing?

All of you...

are like lost souls.

When I am not around,

is this how you work?

No matter what the result is...

for the incident that happened to the hotel,

we must prepare ourselves to bear the responsibility.

Fatso Fang.

Where are the ingredients...

used in the dishes for that customer?

They are all in the refrigerator.

The relevant party has checked it.

They said there's no problem with it.

Who prepared that dishes?

It's me.

But I prepared it...

according to the normal process.

I swear there's nothing wrong with the dishes.

What dishes did the customer order?

Lotus seed soup,

homemade tofu and stir-fried mushrooms.

These dishes are not harmful when eaten together.

How did the customer get poisoned?

Are you sure the ingredients are fresh?

Boss.

We can guarantee...

about this aspect.

Every morning, we will get...

the freshest ingredients.

And the hotel has this one rule.

We must never use the leftovers.

What really happened then?

Anyway,

a clear conscience is a soft pillow.

There's nothing to worry about...

as long as our dishes are okay.

Right now,

we'll just do our own work.

There are customers!

Really?

Did you see that?

Once I came, there comes a customer.

How many of them?

Two.

What did they order?

All right.

Go and serve them well.

-Do not neglect your task. -Yes!

I know that...

you're very frustrated...

with the situation we have right now.

But I firmly believe that...

Long Teng will be able to overcome this difficult time.

Please believe in me.

I hope...

you don't treat this place...

as a spot to earn money only,

but also a place filled with love...

and your big warm family.

I now announce that...

the two customers we have right now...

will be my VIP customers for the rest of my life.

As long as I am still a chef,

I will surely...

serve the two of them.

Now get back to work!

Okay!

What are you...

Hello.

Gentlemen.

Please allow me to introduce myself.

I am Gong Chen, the head-chef of Long Teng Hotel.

It's my pleasure to serve you.

These dishes...

were personally prepared by me.

But we are not VIP customers.

I know.

But right now,

our company is in a critical situation.

But both of you...

came to have a meal here.

It shows that...

you trust and have confidence...

in our hotel.

For this,

we, on behalf of all the employees of Long Teng Hotel,

would like to show...

our utmost appreciation to you.

Thank you.

You're being too courteous.

We've heard about...

Long Teng's previous reputation.

That's right.

Long Teng have been doing many charities.

All of us know about it.

I think this kind of hotel...

wouldn't have poisoned its customers.

Thank you.

I will keep...

what you said in my heart.

I told them just now.

As long as I am still a chef,

you two will always be my VIP customers.

Starting from today,

no matter when it is,

as long as you're here at Long Teng,

I'll prepare...

all your dishes.

And you'll have unlimited orders.

Please have a seat.

To show my gratitude,

today's meal...

is on the house.

I wish you have a healthy life. Enjoy the meal.

Happy New Year.

Thank you.

All right.

Enjoy your meal.

Please enjoy your meal.

All right. Enjoy your meal.

Tell me.

How could people in such hotel...

poison its customer?

He's still lying in the ward.

Today, I must...

Dad!

Ask him to explain this.

Dad, come and see this!

What happened?

Look at this guy.

What's this attitude of you?

For the safety of the people...

It's a...

blessing in disguise.

No.

I have a bone to pick with them.

You're not young now. Why are you still so impulsive?

Sit down.

I can't just let them treat my son-in-law unjustly, right?

This is too much.

It's driving me crazy.

How could he slander someone like that?

Didn't he know that words are like a knife which can kill?

Well, there are always two sides to everything.

As the saying goes, 'Good fortune follows upon disaster,'

'disaster lurks within good fortune.'

All right.

You won't understand it.

Anyway,

you just can't go.

You'll just create chaos if you go there.

If you fight with them,

aren't you bringing shame to Hao Qian?

Do you want the media to publish news...

saying Hao Qian has a crazy mother-in-law?

The situation will become worse, isn't it?

Dad!

How could you say so about your daughter?

All right.

I'm not going.

I'm not going, okay?

Oh gosh.

I don't understand An Ning.

Why didn't she call me?

I'm worried about them.

Chef Gong!

Chef Gong!

We have quite a lot of customers now!

How many of them?

About twenty to thirty.

There's a huge gap in the amount of customers...

if compare with Long Teng's previous number.

But this is a good sign.

This is because the two customers we had before...

spoke good things about us in his live streaming.

He also uploaded what you said that day to the Internet.

That's why we have many customers now.

What are you waiting for?

-Get back to work! -Okay!

-I'll go and get busy then. -All right.

Although there're not many customers,

we still have to work seriously...

and prepare every dishes with our best.

Boss.

The New Year's Eve banquet has been cancelled.

We only have walk-in customers.

But we prepared so much ingredients for the feast.

Isn't it going to be wasted?

Do you know...

why I didn't join other hotels when they offered me,

but insisted to stay in Long Teng?

Because they offered more many here?

Nonsense!

It's because on every New Year's Eve,

Long Teng Hotel will provide free meal...

for all the elders,

the orphans...

and the vagrants in the city.

The townspeople will get free dumplings...

on every Dragon Boat Festival,

they'll be given mooncake during the Mid-Autumn Festival...

and porridge on the Laba Festival.

What's unusual is that...

after doing these for so many years,

they've never publicized themselves...

with these charity works.

What does that mean?

It means that they're kind and upright.

So, I firmly believe that...

God will never...

wrong the noble enterprise.

The people will not cast a doubt on Long Teng...

because of this rumour too.

We have to protect Long Teng well.

We can't let this noble enterprise...

being harmed again.

Right now, Long Teng needs me.

It needs you too.

Don't worry, boss.

We will stand together with Long Teng...

until the end.

-Am I right? -Yes!

We can do it!

We can do it!

An Ning.

Here.

Have some soup.

I boiled it for hours.

Drink it.

Dig in.

I'm full.

I'm going out for a while.

An Ning!

Why did she...

eat so little?

This isn't good.

Perhaps she's worried about Long Hao Qian.

How is he going to solve this problem?

I'm worried about him too.

Please believe in Hao Qian.

He will settle this properly.

Don't worry.

The number you've dialled is turned off.

Are you still busy with work?

I just wanted...

to ask if you've had your dinner.

Even if it's hard to solve the problem,

you must remember to have your meals.

Call me when you're free.

If it's inconvenient to call,

just send me a text message...

no matter how late it is.

Sometimes,

I wonder if you two...

are really meant for each other.

Why did you say so?

We are a match made in heaven, okay?

In terms of relationship,

well, indeed Long Hao Qian treats you well.

But...

whenever I think of his family background,

I feel worried for you.

Well, you're just the same as me.

When are you going to make Yi Ming Jun your husband?

I'm going to stand up for him, you know.

You have to devote to him too, right?

He can't always be the only one devoting.

Well, it's not that I don't want to devote to him...

nor make him my husband,

I'm just scared.

I'm scared that after I give my all,

I'll only hurt myself in return.

In fact, when I was talking about you just now,

I was actually talking about myself too.

When I think of Yi Ming Jun's family,

I just feel out of the place.

In business,

there's no long-term enemies.

It's obvious that we have...

the winner and loser of this game now.

Could it be that you still want...

to continue to be Long Teng's enemy, Mr. Lin?

What do you think?

You're a smart guy.

I like to deal with smart people.

I don't like those...

who love to scheme.

The incident Long Teng Hotel had earlier...

did cause some negative reports from the press,

but those paid posters in the Internet who defamed Long Teng...

should be hired by you, right?

Mr. Lin.

This is not the way to do business.

What paid posters?

Are you still trying...

to be a fool at this moment?

I'll check on this and give you an explanation.

I am not that incapable as to use this kind of trick.

Well, you don't have to explain to me.

It's enough if you know about this matter.

As for how to solve this matter,

you'll decide on it.

Long Hao Qian.

You're the strongest opponent I have ever met.

Well, for me, to become the strongest opponent...

in your eyes,

would be my honour.

I really admire the business sense that you have.

I admit that for the past few years,

I did use a lot of tricks.

I used all the schemes I had...

but L Group's performance is still declining.

But Long Teng...

gives out porridge...

and treat the elders annually.

Throughout the years,

I've been a narrow-minded person.

But frankly speaking,

you did cause some troubles for me over the years.

I am happy to see you getting headache...

for this matter.

Headache?

This minor matter didn't get me headache though.

As your opponent,

I'm tired of fighting with you.

I wonder if I would be more relaxed...

if we're ally.

It's Long Teng Group's honour...

to have such a good ally as you.

I look forward to work together with you, Mr. Lin.

I believe the cooperation of L Group and Long Teng Group...

will create a promising future.

I look forward to our cooperation.

May we have a pleasant cooperation.

Oh, right.

For the New Year's Eve banquet next year,

remember to invite me.

L Group is willing to join your charity team too.

You're welcome at any time.

'Good fortune befalls the harmonious family.'

Awesome!

Good morning, grandfather. Good morning, mum.

Are you okay?

Come with me.

I had an overnight meeting...

and I switched off my phone.

I only saw your messages this morning.

I came here to look for you...

instead of going home.

Right now,

I'm so tired and sleepy.

So...

Have you settled it?

Yes.

The test results are out.

There's no problem with our food.

That's great.

How is the customer now?

What caused it?

His condition is stable.

The night before, he had a lot of donkey meat.

The food was not digested.

The next day, he ordered dishes with fungus in our restaurant.

There was a chemical reaction when both food mixed together.

It's a seizure.

No wonder we couldn't understand it.

I'm sorry.

I've make you worried about me.

I'm glad...

to see that you're fine.

You're under pressure...

for the past days.

But I couldn't help you.

I feel bad about it.

You fool.

I'll be happy...

and satisfied...

as long you stay by my side...

and be good.

I have a meeting later.

Wake me up after half an hour.

Get some rest then.

All of us had sleepless nights.

That's right. That's too much.

Mr. Chairman.

Have a seat.

Have a seat.

Mr. Chairman.

You know about...

what happened to Long Teng Hotel, right?

In the past two days,

the company stock had dropped sharply.

We're wondering...

if you have any countermeasures for this.

I've stayed out of everything...

related to Long Teng now.

The reason I came today...

is because I want to announce another matter.

I'd like to announce...

Hao Qian's marriage.

I don't think it's good for Long Teng...

if we announce the marriage at this moment.

That's right.

What's important at the moment...

is to get Long Teng out of this crisis.

Although the result of the investigation proves that...

Long Teng Hotel is innocent,

we cannot deny that cyber bullying are lethal.

Gossiping is such a fearful thing!

If we use the marriage...

to publicize ourselves...

and to increase public awareness...

at this moment,

I think it's not right.

Marriage is marriage.

Marriage has nothing to do...

with the crisis we have.

Besides that,

I have another matter to announce.

L Group got the bay project...

with the sky-high price.

Everyone knows that...

the project is an attractive project.

Everyone wanted to get the project.

Be it L Group or Long Teng Group,

we wanted to get that project.

However, there's a huge risk in this.

Which is why...

I deliberately raised Long Teng's bid...

and revealed it to Lin Ze Yu.

Based on his character,

he'll definitely fight until the end with Long Teng.

In order for L Group to get the project,

they must use all of its cash flow...

during the bidding process.

He didn't think that...

after L Group gets the project...

with sky-high price...

and its additional funding isn't enough,

it'll eventually drag him down.

Moreover, L Group's performance has been declining...

for the past years.

Those companies which intended to invest in L Group...

all withdrew their investment after they got to know about...

L Group's real situation.

On the contrarily,

Long Teng Group's resort project...

has been growing profits...

since the project started.

It is now progressing in a positive circle.

So, are we going...

to let go of the bay project?

It rose so fast!

-That much! -It rose so fast!

Right now, not many capable companies...

are investing in the bay project.

Based on my comprehensive consideration,

Long Teng is the best candidate.

So, yesterday night,

Long Teng Group and L Group...

had signed a cooperation agreement.

We have become the second largest shareholder of the bay project.

We officially announced this to the public this morning.

So...

Long Teng Group...

is welcoming its biggest partner,

the L Group.

-Great! -That's good!

-Wonderful! -This is great!

Why isn't Chef Gong back yet?

Ms. Ma took him to the hospital for the dressing.

Are there many customers out there?

No customer at all.

In the previous years,

customers reserved in advance for the New Year's Eve dinner.

But such thing happened this year.

Who would want to eat here?

We had some walk-in customers yesterday.

But it's the New Year's Eve today.

Everyone is staying at home for the reunion dinner.

Who would want to go out?

Happy New Year!

Xiao Wu?

Why are you here?

Fatso Fang.

Didn't you say that...

everyone in Long Teng will be busy during the New Year's Eve dinner?

I deliberately came to help.

Happy New Year!

May you have a prosperous New Year!

I want to tell you a good news.

Shoot it out.

The food examination report is out.

It has nothing to do with us.

That's great!

God bless us! It's great!

Well, not only that.

A very well-known media columnist...

specially used this incident...

to righteously criticize...

those who spread rumours on the Internet.

The columnist also...

list out all the charity works Long Teng have done...

over the years.

In short,

this time, Long Teng has finally cleared its name!

Thanks for putting a special column...

on Long Teng Hotel.

That time,

Ms. An Ning and you sent my mother home.

I had been looking for opportunities...

to thank you.

Just take it as...

I repay you this time.

You've overstated this.

This is nothing.

We were just sending an elderly home.

I believe other people will do the same.

Long Teng Group is such a noble enterprise.

You've done so many charity works.

You shouldn't be defamed like this.

Even if it's not me,

other people will still stand up and speak for you.

Anyway, I would like to thank you.

If there's is an opportunity,

please invite Ms. An Ning for a meal too.

But of course,

it would be better if I can be invited...

to your wedding.

It won't be long.

So, this is how you work...

for the New Year's Eve banquet?

Boss.

Well...

there's no customer now.

We have nothing much to do in the kitchen.

So, we came to rest here.

So, you came to play when there's no customers?

If customers suddenly walk in,

would they dare to eat here?

Don't be angry.

I heard that...

the dinner on New Year's Eve at this place is free of charge.

Is that true?

Go and prepare food!

Okay!

Mister.

They'll go and prepare dinner for you.

I'll go and get beverage for him.

Do you have any particular dishes that you want to eat?

Come, be careful.

Are you sure...

it's free?

Yes, it's true.

Dad!

Where are you going?

Long Teng Hotel.

And you asked me not to go.

Why are you going there?

Obviously, I'm not going there to fight.

He said he's not concerned about it.

Hello, everyone.

Today is the Chinese New Year.

It's an important festival for the Chinese.

Many people do not understand...

the reason behind Long Teng Hotel's...

annual New Year's Eve banquet...

where we invite the elders,

the orphans...

and the vagrants in the city.

At first,

I didn't understand the reason behind this too.

I just felt that my heart would feel better.

After that, when I saw...

the genuine smile...

from those people whom we've helped,

I knew that this initiative...

shouldn't be stopped no matter how.

I've been doing business for so many years.

Those setbacks and failures I had...

have taught me...

how to become a successful businessman.

But I wasn't happy.

Until one fine day...

when I met a person.

She told me that...

human should keep their feet on the ground...

so that they'll feel at ease.

At that point,

only then I realized that...

I had been...

living an empty life.

She is...

sincere,

kind-hearted,

foolish and naive.

Sometimes, she does things without thinking the consequences.

But she taught me...

how to be an excellent man.

I'd like to...

when Long Teng was having the crisis,
