This Yan Shi Fan

colluded with the enemies.

He also gave the enemies

Ministry of War Cao Kun's defense strategy

and dared build a building on the royal land,

he even pretended to be

Si Ma Chang An and did the nasty.

He not only goes against me,

but also he wants to help

the enemies overthrow our Great Ming.

If I don't discipline him strictly,

I

will become the laughing stock, right?

Your Majesty,

Yan Shi Fan has committed

numerous crimes.

Your Majesty, I suggest you

execute him in autumn.

Execute him in autumn?

That's too cheap.

Li Fang.

Yes, Your Majesty.

Send my order.

Yan Shi Fan is a fierce and cruel person, he has committed numerous crimes,

he must be beheaded in front of the crowd.

Yes, Your Majesty.

Municipal Secretary Lu.

Yes.

Tell The Imperial Guards to supervise.

Yes, Your Majesty.

Sir Lu,

you're so powerful.

Say it.

I will follow you to the Direct Arrest Officer

or the Imperial Police Department

to join the investigation?

Personally, I

prefer the Imperial Police Department.

Who could have known that

the little bailiff who stirs sir Lu's heart

would be the leftover of Xia Ran's case?

Think about it,

if His Majesty knows about this,

what will he feel?

Sir Yan,

if you have something else to say,

say it in the hell.

Your Majesty has sent his order,

Yan Shi Fan

has committed atrocious crimes,

must be beheaded in front of the crowd.

No way.

You're lying to me.

Sir Lu, do you still remember Mao Hai Feng?

He gave me

all the evidences of your collusion

and also that royal land.

Sir Yan shouldn't have forgotten, right?

I don't believe you.

Where is the imperial edict?

You can see it later.

Get him.

Yes.

What are you doing?

What are you doing?

Let go of me.

Get your hands off me.

Lu Yi.

Let go of me.

Even death wouldn't expiate all his crimes.

He should have been killed earlier.

Right.

He committed so many crimes.

True, he committed numerous crimes.

Such a conscienceless villian.

He deserves more than death.

He should have been killed earlier.

Bring the prisoner

named Yan Shi Fan here.

Here, Yan Shi Fan is here.

Kill him.

Kill him.

Kill him.

Kill him.

Kill him.

Kill him.

Kill him.

The time has come.

Prisoner Yan Shi Fan

went against the law

and colluded with the Wo,

behead.

Kill him.

Kill.

Kill him.

Father,

mother,

grandparents,

can you see that?

This day

has finally come.

Yan Shi Fan was beheaded,

Yan family has fallen.

Our family is finally avenged.

Xiao Lan,

if you know about this,

you can rest assured in heaven now.

Alright.

Great job.

We can rest assured now.

This villian

finally makes up for what he did before.

Auntie,

no one can oppress us anymore.

We can live comfortably now.

You're right.

Finally, the day I've been waiting for has come.

Today is a good day.

We must celebrate it.

True.

We should celebrate it.

Great job.

Yan Shi Fan,

you don't deserve me.

You have to pay for what you did.

Uncle,

why do you come here this late?

Little girl,

Yan Shi Fan was beheaded,

it has fulfilled everyone's wishes.

You

have avenged.

Do you have any plans?

Plan?

Do my best at the Imperial Police Department,

then help my mom sale tofu,

make money

and take care of my mother and my aunt.

I said about Lu Yi.

You know that

he is

quite an introvert.

If you wait for him to come here and see you,

citron daylily has already faded.

Uncle,

can we stop talking about this?

I've got a headache.

I can understand.

I didn't mean anything.

I hope that you won't have to regret.

Why are you here?

Jin Xia,

about what my father's mistake,

I will give you a clear explanation.

You come here

just to say that to me?

Stop.

Stop.

Stop.

Out of my way.

Spare me, sir.

Excuse me.

I won't do that anymore.

Jin Xia,

something's up.

What happened?

Cen Fu said

in His Majesty's feast,

sir LU mentioned Xia family's case.

His Majesty was really mad,

then he deposed and imprisoned Lu Yi.

What did you say?

I said Lu Yi

was disposed, had his house searched, and was imprisoned.

The Palace

has sealed the Lu Department.

Why are you here?

Jin Xia,

about my father's mistake,

I'll give you a clear explanation.

Yan family's power

is not what you can imagine.

Your identity must be kept secret.

I don't care how great your animosity is,

just don't do anything rash.

Promise me

that you will never risk your life again.

Sir,

turns out you've had this plan all along

But Miss, I need to remind you that

His Majesty is really pretentious,

he will never admit his mistakes.

As long as he keeps his throne,

Xia family will never be exonerated.

Lu Yi, you're an idiot.

Stop.

Big brother,

I'm the Head Constable of the Imperial Police Department.

I have something to do, let me in.

No, no one can come in

without diplomatic note.

Just let me in first,

the diplomatic note will arrive soon.

Stop.

Miss Yuan.

Cen Fu,

you arrived just in time.

You're one of The Imperial Guards,

please let me in.

I'm not gonna lie,

after what happened to sir Lu, I was deposed too.

I can't come in either.

What should we do?

I have to see him.

Lu family has been foreclosed,

it isn't gonna be easy for him now.

I'm worried about this too.

Luckily, half of the people there used to work for the general.

For the sake of general,

I hope they won't make it hard for him.

I'm trying to collect money

so that I can see him.

But...

But what?

His Majesty commanded him to be behead after autumn,

whoever begs for his life will be accused of colluding.

I'm afraid that he is in great danger now.

How much money do I need to see him?

I will go collect money right now.

Just try our best

to collect as much as we can.

Mother.

Mother.

Can you

give me the money you've saved for my dowry?

I need it now.

What are you doing?

You ask money from me as soon as you open your mouth.

I'm in trouble now.

Mother.

I'm in trouble every day.

What trouble can you have?

I will talk about it later, okay?

Just give me the money.

Now I...

I promise I will work hard

to give it back to you.

How easy for you to say that.

You already know

where our money comes from.

I, I...

What do I save money for?

For my dowry.

You already know that, why are you asking for it?

If I don't give you your dowry

when you get married,

how can I bear to face you?

Mother,

I promise you

that I can get married

without that money.

Please give it to me first.

You're talking

as if you're great now.

You're confused, aren't you?

Think about it.

Mother, not...

Listen to me.

I'm begging you.

Give it to me, I'm in a hurry now.

I don't have it.

We haven't sold this tofu,

I can't help you.

You asked for money as soon as you got home.

Lu Yi will be beheaded soon.

How could it be?

His Majesty really trusts him.

He wants to clear Xia family's case,

His Majesty wants him to die.

How could he say that?

That's why I'm in a hurry now, I need money.

I have to come to the prison to see him,

I have to save him.

But if I don't have money, I can't meet him.

Jin Xia, don't cry.

Don't cry.

Stand up.

Stand up.

You're always crying.

the life is the most important thing.

Wait here.

Take this.

This is all of the money I've saved for you for years.

My coffin,

take this.

Mother.

his life is very important.

Go.

Thank you, mother.

I'll help you come in from the back door.

Here.

Sir.

Jin Xia,

why are you here?

Why could you be so silly?

This is my own decision,

don't bother.

What kind of decision is this?

Xia family's death

was relevant to me.

Lu family owes you.

I have to pay for what my father did.

I'm his son,

I have to

repay Xia family.

When your father gave me the book of Zhaoxue,

he's already repaid me.

I used to avoid you,

because I couldn't get out of it.

But I've never hated you,

never.

Jin Xia,

to your Xia family, my father...

But I don't need you to pay it back with your life.

I have to save you.

Don't be such a fool.

His Majesty commanded

me to be beheaded after autumn.

Don't come here anymore,

and don't waste your money.

Forget me

and get married to someone else.

Do you know that to come in and see you,

I've used my benefices

and I also ask my mother to give me all my dowry,

I promised her that

I can get married

without the dowry,

so that she could give me that money.

I remember you saying

you wants me, Yuan Jin Xia, to spend my whole life

and raise your children with you.

You're always saying you want to get married to me.

Why don't you keep your promise?

Sir,

don't give up.

I know the food is not good here.

I'll try to tell them.

You have to eat well,

and wait for me to get you out of here,

okay?

What more is there to say?

How about breaking the jail?

We can get Lu Yi out of the jail

and start wandering.

Xie Xiao,

don't be so hasty.

I have already come up with the same idea as yours.

But it's really hard

for us

to break the jail.

So... so what should we do?

I think of one person,

but he will never agree to do that.

Who?

He's working for the government as a Head Constable, Xu Jing.

But Xu Jing is a real fox.

Xia Er's grandfather, Xia Ran

is his honored teacher.

When sir was come after by Yan Song,

he didn't say anything.

Right.

Xu Jing held a feast in the Western garden

but he didn't tell sir about it.

Sometimes, sir will come to the Xu Department

and had a talk with Xu Jing.

But sir always went alone,

I didn't know

what they had been talking about.

There's no better way.

We can only try.

Who are you?

How dare you break into Xu Department?

Sir Xu,

sorry for

breaking into,

but I'm in a hurry now.

I'm Jin Xia, a bailiff working for the Imperial Police Department.

Today,

I come here to ask you to help with

sir Lu Yi's problem.

How dare you?

His Majesty has sent his order,

whoever begs for Lu Yi's life

will be accused of colluding.

Do you

want to harm me?

I dare not to do that.

I just think that

the relationship between you and sir Lu is really good,

you guys always stand by each other's side,

that's why I come here to ask you.

What are you

to Lu Yi?

Lu Yi and I

are getting married.

Why can he trust you that much?

But,

he had guts,

he dared mess with His Majesty.

However,

it wasn't clever of him

to go against His Majesty because of Xia Ran's case.

So you think that

Lu Yi deserves to die

because he clear Xia family's case?

Who are you?

How can you be so offensive?

I should have

called you uncle.

Xia Ran

is my grandfather.

You...

belong to Xia family?

No wonder Lu Yi

wants to clear Xia family's case that much.

Sir,

you've underestimated Lu Yi.

He could have been promoted,

he could have

taken advantage of Yan Shi Fan

to save Xia family,

but he didn't do that.

Because he is a righteous man,

he almost died

when he fought against Yan Shi Fan.

Sir,

my grandfather was harmed,

but you didn't say anything,

I can understand.

But now,

sir, you're the Head Constable,

you're one of the most powerful people in Great Ming dynasty.

How can you stand by and watch

a loyal servant die?

Sir,

you've worked with Lu Yi for so long,

you must know him really well.

You're the only one who can save him now,

I'm begging you,

please save him.

I

will try my best.

Thank you, sir.

His Majesty has sent his order,

pardon Lu Yi,

but he has to serve a life sentence.

Without His Majesty's permission,

no one can meet him.

Lu Yi,

accept the imperial decree.

Thanks, Your Majesty.

Sir Lu,

congratulations.

Finally you can

save your life.

Eunuch Li,

why did His Majesty do that?

Sir Lu,

about this,

you should thank the capital's cabinet,

Xu Jing, sir Xu.

He risked his life

to beg His Majesty for your life.

At that time,

we were all scared for sir Xu.

Alright.

I'll leave now.

You have to eat well,

wait for me to get you out of here,

okay?

Silly girl.

What have you done out there for me?

Now,

I spend my whole life but still can't pay you back.

Jin Xia,

don't count your money anymore.

His Majesty has sent his order.

No one can come in to see him.

Even if you had more money,

you couldn't see Lu Yi.

I wonder

how he is doing now.

Oh, right.

What can I help you?

I'm here to say goodbye to you.

Say goodbye?

I want to join general Qi Wei Gang's army

to fight enemies on battlefield.

I know this is your hardest time,

I should have stood by your side

and overcome this difficult time with you.

But our country is the most important thing,

men should

protect their country.

Jin Xia,

rest assured.

Lu Yi is a good man.

He'll be fine.

Yuan Jin Xia,

promise me

that you'll take care of yourself.

Okay.

I'll go now.

XieYuan Yuan.

Take care.

I'll buy you

Yangzhou's most delicious night snack.

I cut it into Jin Xia's face.

Since we're the best brothers,

we should deal with it together.

Yuan Da Xia,

even if I die,

I'll do everything

for you.

Don't refuse me.

Xie Yuan Yuan.

I will never regret

having a good friend like you.

Stay safe

on the battlefield.

And you too, sir,

no matter how hard our future is,

I'll never give up.

Big brothers,

this is the money I've got this month.

I hope you don't think this is too little.

Please take it with my compliments.

Miss Yuan,

we told you before, you can't meet him,

why are you still here?

We want to help you sneak into,

but there's no way we can do that.

His Majesty said that

no one could see Lu Yi

without his permission.

But...

Or

Miss Yuan can try to ask His Majesty.

Big brothers, I'm begging you

please let me in, just a moment.

I promise I won't tell anyone.

I'll just take a glance at him.

Can I?

Miss Yuan,

don't make it hard for us.

There's no other way.

Now we're really careful with sir Lu.

Please leave.

You can't do this.

Let me in.

Let me in.

Miss Yuan.

Miss Yuan.

Leave.

Sir Lu.

You have to eat well,

take care of yourself.

Tomorrow I'll come to see you.

Alright.

Miss Yuan, please leave.

Big brothers, I'm here again.

Miss Yuan,

we told you before, you can't meet him.

Why're you still here?

Today is the Moon Festival,

reunion day.

I think you've

worked hard here.

I bring

mooncake to you.

Come on, try it.

Try it.

Miss Yuan,

you didn't try to drug us, did you?

How dare I?

If you don't believe me,

let me eat first.

Rest assured.

Please share with everyone.

Miss Yuan, thank you.

You're welcome.

Brothers, come here to eat mooncake.

Mooncake made by my mother is really tasty.

Thank you, Miss Yuan.

You've worked hard.

We always miss our families on holidays.

Can you

help me

give him this cake?

Sir Lu,

Yuan Jin Xia asked me to bring this mooncake to you.

I'm waiting for you.

Wait for me.

I know the food is not good here.

I'll try to tell them.

Don't give up.

Thanks for saving my life,

I'll never forget it.

I'll take care of you

to repay you in another life.

Don't wait for another life,

you can do that now.

Thanks for your cake, Miss Yuan.

You're welcome.

So you're looking for someone to marry?

I've got to see who that is.

Who do you want to marry with?

Xi Er.

I told you many times,

you don't have to do anything.

I can handle it.

What if anything happens to the baby?

Aunt Lin said it was good to move a lot.

I

want to move around a little bit.

Right, right, right.

However,

I can be relieved if you take a rest.

Come on.

Yue Er, Xi Er,

- see what I've bought | - Father.

You've become grandfather

but you're more excited than me.

I bought it while I was walking on the street.

We can use it later.

Thank you, father.

Big brother Yang.

Aunt.

Aunt Lin, uncle Gai, you're here.

Come on come on, take this.

- What is it? | - I'll hold it for you.

These are birth control pills.

Drink it before going to bed.

- Thank you, aunt Lin. | - Thank you, aunt Lin.

You don't thank me?

Uncle Gai, thank you.

Why hasn't Jin Xia come here yet?

This silly girl,

where can she go

in this cold weather?

Your Majesty, the doctor is here. Do I need to call him in?

No.

I know how to take care of myself.

Your Majesty,

you shouldn't say that,

you have to be careful.

Your Majesty,

Li Fang,

I dreamt about Lu Ting.

Do you remember when the palace was burnt?

It was Lu Ting who stormed into

and got me out.

Right.

I still remember that.

Sir Lu Ting

was really glad when he could save you.

Send my order.

Ministers, accept the imperial decree.

Following the God's will,

the Emperor hereby decrees.

I've heard that Hu Guang is having a drought,

people lack sufficient food,

I'm so worried.

This is a crime committed by me,

I regret

so I decided to pardon everyone.

To show heaven my true repentance,

to reassure my people,

I'll become a better person,

I won't repeat my mistake.

Receive the imperial edict.

Long live the King.

Sir.

I've been waiting for you for so long,

I thought you couldn't make it.

I've told you to wait for me.

I'll definitely come,

how can I disappoint you?

Sir,

let's go home.

Sir,

we're no longer seperated from now on.

Alright.

Sir, how about I take care of you?

You don't have enough money to do that.

So...

Rest assured.

His Majesty has reinstated me.

Can you take care of me?

Marry me first.

I'll let you manage our money.

Really?
