There are many things you don't need to know.

Some matters

you don't need to undertake.

Except for pretending to be inferior

don't you have other ways?

Drink wine.

Fine, fine.

Fine, drink some wine.

Drink wine.

Please.

Yan Shi Fan is about to be fired and sentenced to prison

but he is still very arrogant.

I think you shouldn't come here these days

to avoid unnecessary problems.

I got it.

Now we have to save time

then find out that eunuch

and rescue Xiao Lan.

His Majesty

wants... wants to meet me already?

Not yet.

I have found an executed prisoner who resembles to you.

You put on his clothes

and leave here first.

Let's discuss other matters after you leave.

This is a big crime

which may cause your whole family be executed.

I have prepared everything already.

There will be no one knows this.

You find a place to live incognito.

From now on

there will be no Lan Qing Xuan in this world.

Doesn't that mean all the previous efforts are wasted?

Leave.

I've decided.

Don't convince me more.

Lan Qing Xuan.

Lu Yi.

This is our only chance of winning.

I can't hesitate or fear.

Or else

facing us

is the death.

You come back.

This prison is full of spies of Yan's party.

You have to be careful.

Don't endanger yourself.

I investigate this case under His Majesty's order.

Therefore, Yan Shi Fan won't dare to say anything.

On the contrary, it's you.

His Majesty is still being angry now.

Yan family provoke their side's mandarins

to push the Prime Minister to report your crime.

If it continues like this

I'm afraid that before you meet His Majesty

you have died already.

Yan Shi Fan guesses it right.

I, Lan Qing Xuan, who is greedy for life and fear the death

will surely reveal the instigator.

I want to destroy his intention.

Lu Yi.

Both you and I know that

Yan family in the capital

is a big tree with deep roots (influential).

Uprooting the tree

is uneasy.

The current plan

should be that I die because of him.

This can decrease His Majesty's trust in Yan family.

No.

It's me that arrange for you to enter the palace.

I can't just watch you die.

That's the path I choose myself.

You...

don't need to visit me anymore.

This time

Yan Shi Fan

will base on our relationship to write a petition.

His Majesty will doubt.

If he knows our real relationship

he won't forgive you for sure.

You must be careful with this.

Also...

you keep this blood letter carefully.

It can make Yan... Yan family

lost His Majesty's trust in them.

This is the last thing

I can do for you.

The last thing?

What do you mean?

Hide it.

Sir.

Yan Shi Fan is coming.

The night is late

but Sir Lu is still on duty.

How industrious you are!

Sir Yan, you aren't a mandarin anymore.

Why are you here?

Aren't you afraid of being punished by His Majesty?

I am.

But I'm not a mandarin anymore

what should I be afraid of?

Right.

Your Yan family is under His Majesty's protection.

You, of course, can do whatever you want.

It's good that you know this.

I hear that you want to steal the beams and change the pillars (to replace the old with a new one).

I don't know if it's real or not.

Do you witness that with your own eyes?

Aren't I here to look for the evidence?

God Lan, how are you?

Can you bear it more?

Yan Shi Fan.

Such a flatterer.

Wrongly accuse the faithful mandarins.

You will receive your karma.

Karma?

What karma?

Where is the karma?

God Lan.

Today

I can give you a chance.

As long as you say the name

of your instigator

I can save your life.

Honored little senior official.

How can you value me?

How can I disappoint you?

Loathful.

Say.

Who is your instigator?

I am God Lan.

I follow the order of Lord of Wu Liang ( A lord in Taoism).

This problem

even you ask me for 10 more times

my answer is still Lord of Wu Liang.

Lord of Wu Liang.

Sir Lu.

Be the witnesser.

This is because he commits suicide.

Lan Qing Xuan doesn't relate to me.

Take it.

Lan Qing Xuan.

- What are you doing? | - Lan Zhenren.

I have practiced my religion for half of my life.

I'll consider I have rested in peace in this life.

Don't be sad.

Do you remember "give up the side parts to save the main ones"?

Stop talking.

Stop talking.

Cen Fu, call the doctor.

Quickly.

Yes sir.

No need, no need.

I can't bear it anymore.

Lu Yi.

Let's be brothers in our next life.

In this life

I can't witness

you and Jin Xia

become a family.

You have to appriciate her.

Don't...

miss her again.

Lan Qing Xuan.

Lan Qing Xuan.

Lan Qing Xuan.

Lan Qing Xuan.

Stand still!

Who are you?

What do you want?

What do we want?

You such a damn eunuch!

You've made two of us wait for you here for days.

Don't worry.

We aren't Yan Shi Fan's subordinates.

Imperial Police Department.

Childe!

What should we do now?

Get away.

Get away from my sight!

Yes.

This Lan Qing Xuan...

It's really nice of you.

Get away for me!

Sir Lu.

Sir Lu.

I've found that eunuch.

He has admitted wrongly accusing Lan Qing Xuan.

Jin Xia.

Lan Qing Xuan, he...

What's the matter with him?

Last night, in Ministry of Justice's prison, Yan Shi Fan

forced Lan Zhenren to tell the name of his instigator.

He suddenly used Yan Shi Fan's sword

to commit suicide.

Sir couldn't prevent him in time.

Xiao Lan.

It's all my fault that I couldn't find that eunuch sooner.

Miss Yuan.

You predict like a prophet, you are more alert than anyone else.

Extremely smart, straight forward and generous.

Lan Lan.

Xiao Lan.

You're still humorous like before.

Not seeing you for a few days

you're still really humorous.

Miss Yuan.

Happiness

sometimes needs grasping by ourselves.

Come, come, come, don't drink alone.

I show my respect to you two.

I wish you two would become family soon.

Lan Zhenren died already?

I only allow you to interrogate him

not to kill him.

Why did Yan Shi Fan come to Ministry of Justice's prison

to extort a confession from Lan Zhenren?

Your Majesty.

I have no idea as well.

When I reached there

Lan Zhenren only had the last breath.

Besides

Under my hard hunt

in the suburb

I've caught

the eunuch that indicated Lan Zhenren.

This is that eunuch's oral testimony.

Please take a look.

Good.

It's really "good" of Yan Shi Fan.

He dares to bribe my subordinate.

Such a waste of my consideration of Yan Song!

I've forgiven him many times.

But he...

He relies on my bestow to be arrogant

disrespects the monarch.

Municipal secretary Lu.

Yes sir.

Cooperate with the Three Judicial Offices to investigate this case thoroughly.

Give Yan Shi Fan a detention at home.

Until everything is clear

he can't leave his house.

Yes sir!

Go!

Yan Song can't educate his son.

Confiscate his fortune.

Fire and expel him to his hometown.

Tell him to get away.

Yes sir!

Childe!

It's not good, Childe!

To...

Enough, enough.

Say!

Today, in the court

His Majesty knew

the news that Lan Qing Xuan died in prison.

Lu Yi, from nowhere,

could take the oral testimony of the escaping eunuch.

After reading that, His Majesty was extremely angry.

He ordered the Three Judicial Offices to investigate this case

and order to give you a detention.

Even Master

had to resign and come back to hometown.

Childe!

What should we do next?

Nice, Lu Yi.

You want to use Lan Qing Xuan's death

to defeat me.

Then I will use Lan Qing Xuan's death

to teach you

how to be a human.

An imperial guard and a Taoist priest cooperate.

This crime

is uneasy to get away with.

You're so brilliant.

Without Lu Ting's protection

you are just an anonymous little boy.

Let's see how you can fly up.

I, Yan Song

have the honor to meet Your Majesty.

You've come.

I...

have disappointed Your Majesty.

Before leaving the capital

I want to come to say farewell to Your Majesty.

Yan Song.

I have ordered Lu Yi and the Three Judicial Offices

investigate Yan Shi Fan.

If Yan Shi Fan has any words to say

just go to present to the Three Judicial Offices.

You don't need to beg for forgiveness for him.

I don't dare.

Yan Shi Fan will come to the Three Judicial Offices to receive punishment himself.

I'm just afraid that Your Majesty

will be lured by others.

How daring you are!

I don't dare.

I've been a guilty man.

Before I leave

I just want to finish my duty as a mandarin.

Say.

Yan Shi Fan told me that

he rushed in to the prison

because he heard that there was someone wanting to release Yan Qing Xuan.

Ministry of Justice's prison is strictly guarded.

Lan Zhenren was badly injured.

How could he escape?

Ministry of Justice's prison is strictly guarded.

Even a mosquito can't escape.

But what if there is someone using other person's name, cooperate with the outsiders?

Yan Shi Fan said when he entered the prison

Municipal secretary Lu had presented there.

Now matter how rush Municipal secretary Lu was

he shouldn't have interrogated a criminal at midnight.

Lu Yi?

He wanted to help Lan Zhenren escape?

I

hear that Municipal secretary Lu and Lan Qing Xuan has a relationship.

I hope that Your Majesty will make a fair judgement.

Lu Yi.

Lan Zhenren.

Alright.

I will make a decision of my own.

Yan Song.

Yes sir!

You just return to your hometown at ease.

Farewell Your Majesty.

What is your opinion about

what Yan Song just said?

Your Majesty.

I just know how to serve you.

These matters

I really don't know.

You such an old fox.

What can escape your sight in this palace?

Just say.

Yes.

I really hear that Sir Lu

often comes to Ministry of Justice's prison to meet Lan Zhenren.

I think

they two have some businesses.

I don't know the details.

Enough!

Please don't be mad, Your Majesty.

Please take care of yourself.

Go!

Call Lu Yi here for me.

Your Majesty.

Don't.

We suddenly call Sir Lu here now

if both of them really have a relationship

doesn't that mean "beat the grass and startle the snake"?

So what do you think I should do?

Your Majesty

want to know if Lan Zhenren and Sir Lu

cooperate with each other or not, it's not difficult.

You just let me

secretly go to Ling Ji palace is just fine.

If they really cooperate

there must be evidence.

No.

I have to go there myself.

On my own.

So good.

It really makes us relieved.

Good.

Yan Shi Fan has got detention.

Yan Song's fortune has been confiscated.

He is fired and expelled to his hometown.

It seems that Yan's party being eliminated

is just a matter of time.

Uncle Yang.

Please drink more.

Ok, ok, ok.

This little boy.

They talk about their topic.

I want to talk about you.

You stay here.

So that Jin Xia can be by my side.

I can see her.

Mom, I've told you already.

I won't leave you.

I will always be by your side.

This little girl is so filial.

Hope that the heaven is fair.

Yan Shi Fan will soon receive his karma.

We and Jin Xia

can live in peace.

I just fear that Yan Shi Fan's power is so big.

Even though he is getting detention now

with his tricks

I'm just afraid that

we will waste all of our efforts.

Xiao Er's words are right.

Yan Shi Fan is very brilliant.

He can always control the situation in the court.

If this time

he can escape safely

it's not strange.

I don't believe there isn't anyone can punish him.

Coming, coming.

Food is coming, alright, alright.

Don't mention him.

As soon as you mention him

I feel bitter.

- Let me ladle soup out into bowls. - Xi Er.

Let me do.

In the kitchen

you said you were hungry.

You eat first, let me do this.

Scoop for Aunt Yuan first.

Don't be so formal.

You've been busy all day.

Quickly sit down.

Come on, sit down.

We...

We first bottom up a cup.

Ok, ok.

Come on, come on, bottom up!

Ok, come!

Come, ok, ok, ok.

Bottom up!

Have a child soon!

Kid, this wine is good.

It's just not as good as our Yang Zhou's wine a little bit.

Come on, eat, eat.

Your using Lan Qing Xuan to defeat Lu Yi

is really brilliant.

Later on, in the capital

no one can compete with you anymore.

His Majesty can't accept the cooperation between the mandarins.

Not to mention the Imperial Guards.

This Lu Yi

couldn't have expected that

Lan Qing Xuan

was the key to defeat him in the end.

Without Lu Yi - this snag

the Three Judicial Offices

will be under your control.

In a few days

His Majesty will forget all.

Childe!

Lu Yi has come home.

Come home?

Doesn't His Majesty punish him?

Palace's eunuch said

His Majesty was very angry

directly headed to Ling Ji palace

to investigate the cooperation between Lu Yi and Lan Qing Xuan.

He saw Lu Yi making drugs there.

Unreliable words.

Since when did this Lu Yi

know how to make drugs?

Lu Yi doesn't really know how to make drugs.

But I hear that before his death, Lan Qing Xuan

gave Lu Yi

a blood letter showing the way to make drugs.

Therefore, His Majesty has been less angry.

The cooperation between Lu Yi and Lan Qing Xuan

isn't investigated anymore.

This time, not eliminating Lu Yi

is so regretful.

What is Yuan Jin Xia doing now?

She is investigating cases at the Imperial Police Department

Sir Luo.

Yes.

This time

is your turn.

Yes sir.

Please take a look, please take a look.

Please take a look.

This... This one is cheaper.

Please come back here next time.

What's the matter?

Xie Yuan Yuan.

Do you think that one is quite familiar?

Who?

Goodbye.

Don't kill me. Don't kill me.

How can you trace to this place?

Wang Ma Zi.

Go, let's see.

Let's go.

Let's go.

Wang Ma Zi.

We meet again.

Wang Ma Zi?

What Wang Ma Zi?

You must have mistaken me for someone else.

I am Luo Wen Long.

Luo Wen Long?

So you two are as similar as two peas in a pod.

It's not strange that people resembles to each other.

Don't act in front of me.

If you continue to pretend

I will...

Will... will what?

- Alright. - Kill your own ass.

Don't waste your words.

Why are you here, in the capital?

Where is Mao Hai Feng?

What Mao Hei Feng?

I have never heard of this name.

So are your wife and son

fine now?

I haven't got married yet.

I don't have a wife.

Good.

I don't know if you've been to the prison

you can be stubborn like this or not.

What do you really want?

Help me! Help me!

Help me!

This Japanese pirate!

Even you turn into ashes, I can still recognize.

Xie Xiao.

Take him to the Direct Arrest Officer

and give him to Lu Yi.

What?

He has an enmity with our Wu An Gang.

Why do I have to give him to Lu Yi?

You are just a common person.

He is a mandarin.

Ok.

I obey you.

Moreover

talk to him nicely when you meet him.

I got it.

Smile.

Is that ok?

Sir, Wu An Gang Leader Xie asks to meet you.

Lu Yi.

You have to thank me today.

Look

whom I take to you.

He says he is Luo Wen Long.

He is Yan family's Mohist, Luo Wen Long?

You haven't recognized him?

Wang Ma Zi?

Luo Wen Long.

Do you dislike my subordinates

treating you badly?

Lu Yi.

How daring you are!

Force me to confess under torture.

Aren't you afraid that His Majesty will punish you?

So let's see if your master

can report this to His Majesty or not.

Abandon the chariot to protect the commander.

Doesn't he understand this?

I believe

you are smart.

Say.

What do you want to know?

How did you and Yan Shi Fan

cooperate with the Japanese pirates?

He is oversuspicious.

The first time he and Mao Hai Feng discussed

he had me to be with Mao Hai Feng

to transmit the information.

What evidence do you have

to prove what you say is true?

Under the bed in my room

is a secret drawer.

In that drawer are all of the letters

between him and Mao Hai Feng.

You'll know when you see that.

Ce Fu.

Go take a look.

Yes sir.

Sir Lu.

My wife and son are unrelated to this.

Please forgive them.

Sir!

According to Luo Wen Long

we found this in his house.

Sir.

Quickly report to His Majesty.

Wait.

I think Yan Shi Fan is a very careful person.

How can he let such important thing like this

exist outside easily?

Here.

Sir, I can't mistake.

This paper is old

but the paper pulp can't tell lie.

This paper's pulp

was surely made in this year.

Please take a look.

I have made paper pulp all my life.

What kind of wood produces what kind of paper

I can distinguish really well.

If so...

this letter is fake.

How is that?

We almost fall into Yan Shi Fan's trap.

How can it be?

Hasn't Luo Wen Long admitted that

Mao Hai Feng and Yan Shi Fan did cooperate?

But we didn't expect that

the letter Luo Wen Long sent to Yan Shi Fan

is fake.

If it hadn't been for Lu Yi

he found a paper maker to check

I'm afraid that this time he...

had fallen into Yan Shi Fan's trap.

Lan Ye?

Zhai Lan Ye?

Why are you here?

Zhai Lan Ye.

After the Cen Port battle

you disappear.

We think that

you are just a coward turtle running away

and afraid of meeting others.

I'm afraid of meeting others?

So ridiculous!

Good.

If you've come

don't think of leaving.

Wait.

Yang Yue, what do you mean?

You want to help her?

I don't want to help her.

I'm just thinking that

after the Cen Port battle

Zhai Lan Ye disappears.

Wu An Gang has searched for her for many days

but you can't find her.

This world is so big

she can find a place to hide.

But now

she appears in front of us like this.

So why don't we listen to

what she wants to tell us?

Lan Ye.

Your coming this time

is because of Yan Shi Fan's order?

Why does him tell you to come here?

Yan Shi Fan?

To me,

he is a really nice arrangement

What happened between you and Yan Shi Fan?

During time

where have you been?

Prior Shang Guan.

My matter with Yan Shi Fan

doesn't need your worries.

My coming this time

is because I want to give a big present.

I just don't know

if you dare to receive or not.

Why can't we receive?

I want to ask Miss Zhai.

What big present?

Mao Hai Feng.

Mao Hai Feng?

Where?

Outsides.

He's really Mao Hai Feng.

Such a crazy woman!

I've been in your hands.

If I had known this sooner

when Yan Shi Fan offered you to me...

Take him go.

Call Sir Lu and Jin Xia as well.

We'll discuss a little bit

about what we should do.

Ok.

So be careful.

Don't fall into Zhai Lan Ye's trap.

Don't worry.

Quickly go and come.

I just heard that Mao Hai Feng said

Yan Shi Fan offered you to him?

Right.

Because I caught Lin Lin to offer the Japanese pirates.

After knowing that, Yan Shi Fan was very mad at me.

He offered me to Mao Hai Feng.

In Cen Port

I had experienced hell-like days.

Eventually, there was one day

Cen Port was attacked.

I kept chasing after Mao Hai Feng

and caught him in the end.

My only current target

is to catch Yan Shi Fan.

He has to to repay for what he had done to me.

Sir!

According to Prior Shang Guan

that Zhai Lan Ye really has enough reasons

to report Yan Shi Fan.

Luo Wen Long's matter just happened

and suddenly Mao Hai Feng appears from nowhere.

Isn't that too accidental?

Cen Fu.

Take Mao Hai Feng here first.

Sir, he's here.

Mao Hai Feng.

Do you remember me?

Lu Yi.

This Zhai Lan Ye is really crazy.

She gives me to you.

We are all old acquaintances.

What I want from Yan Shi Fan

from you

you must know very clearly.

So don't beat around the bush.

You think I'm stupid?

I give you thing that can protect my life.

Can I be alive?

No wonder you're the adopter son of Wang Zhi.

You're really a man of your word.

Accidentally, I'm free today.

I will chat with you

discuss with you.

I advise you

not waste time on me.

I won't confess anything.

I just boring

so talk with you .

Why don't we talk about

your father's heroism and generosity?

When he died

you were at Hang Zhou's port, right?

Lu Yi!

Don't provoke me!

This enmity

I will revenge on you.

Revenge?

You can't even beat Zhai Lan Ye.

How can you revenge?

Mao Hai Feng.

Be realistic!

Don't you want to kill Yan Shi Fan?

Don't want Wu Shou Xu

to lose his power?

I do.

So let me go.

Letting you go is impossible.

Look at this first.

No way.

I don't buy it.

Childe!

Childe, it's not really good!

What has happened?

What's Lu Yi's situation?

Nothing at the moment.

But our informants

who always keep an eyes on Yang Cheng Wan's house

saw Miss Zhai

taking a man into it.

Later, Cen Fu took that man out.

Who?

Zhai Lan Ye?

Don't you say she is missing?

Why does she appear here?

She even comes to Yang Cheng Wan.

This...

I have no idea.

You...

You said she took a man to Yang house?

Who was that?

Base on the description, he may be Mao Hai Feng.

Mao Hai Feng.

Think of all the ways

to find Zhai Lan Ye.

Bring her to me.

Besides

tell someone to go to the prison.

You have to find out

what Lu Yi is doing.

Yes, Childe!

Go!

So is the man named Fu Fu what

trustworthy?

I think this Lu Yi is really good.

He can find the evidence from the Japanese pirates.

You're not happy?

No.

You can't forget Lu Yi.

You still want to hide me?

What's the matter?

Xie Xiao always like you.

Or else you two...

Mom, stop it.

What's the matter? You two...

This life

I have to be by your side.

Be by my mom's side.

Aren't you fool?

How can you say that?

Municipal secretary Lu.

Is the petition like that ok?

First

Yan Shi Fan and Luo Wen Long secretly cooperate.

Luo Wen Long and Yan Shi Fan

cooperate with the Japanese pirates

gather pirates

turn traitors to another country.

Second

Cooperate with briber

call for soldiers to overthrow the monarch.

Cooperation with the Japanese pirates to overthrow the Emperor

is enough to let Yan Shi Fan be in death row.

Death row

still leaves him a chance.

Municipal secretary Lu, you mean...

His Majesty really hates those who cooperate with the Japanese pirates.

The two crime that Sir Xu, you mention

are just cooperation with the Japanese pirates.

If they go with offending the monarch

he may not just be in death row.

Unless you have other evidence in your hands.

When my dad was still alive

he gave me a very important thing.

The map of the locations that Yan Shi Fan has forcibly occupied the royal land

and build the construction.

If he has this crime

it's hard for Yan Shi Fan to escape death.

Useless.

You're all useless.

Zhai Lan Ye!

I can't see her either living or dead.

Mao Hai Feng is kept in the prison for his confession.

You even don't know what crime he has admitted.

You say aren't you useless?

Yes sir!

I'm useless.

I'm sorry.

It's my uselessness.

What's Lu Yi action recently?

He doesn't show up these days.

Our informants always keep an eye on Lu house

but they can't have any information.

How about Xu Jing?

Xu Jing is like usual.

He just meets his friends.

Nothing special.

No way.

It can't be this peaceful.

Go investigate for me!
