Original subtitles

Sun Hyuk. Na Wook Do was the one who attacked you, wasn't he?

How did you know that?

Did you catch him?

No, we didn't.

I don't know how to explain this.

I'll tell you in person.

Say what you want.

I told you, I wasn't the one who sent Wook Do.

Ha Ra. You are pretty much Se Rin's accomplice.

You used Se Rin to kill Star and me.

And you stopped my dad from getting his insulin shot.

Do you have proof?

Do you?

I'm the proof.

Living proof. Since I'm Eun Jo.

(Hwang Ga Heun is Ko Eun Jo!)

How did Eun Jo die?

I heard you were best friends.

She died during the bachelorette party you prepared.

How did you win him over when he was mourning the loss...

of the woman he was going to marry?

It's almost as if you were waiting for your best friend to die.

Are you done, punk?

No. I still have more to say.

When did you start liking Mr. Cha?

Did you wish Eun Jo would die?

Didn't you want Eun Jo to die...

so that you could steal your friend's boyfriend?

That was about Ms. Hwang.

She was talking about herself.

Hwang Ga Heun is Ko Eun Jo.

Sun Hyuk.

You recognized her from the get-go, didn't you?

You knew that Ms. Hwang was Eun Jo.

What? I can't handle her?

Hey. I'm not done.

Do you really want to know why she's doing that?

Yes, I do.

What happened when you went camping?

What mistake did she make?

There were no mistakes.

She became Eun Jo for me.

Sun Hyuk. Ga Heun is Eun Jo.

Your late first love, Ko Eun Jo.

That man you wanted to be for her is yourself.

Sun Hyuk, what will you do now?

What do we do?

Who is that for?

Ms. Geum didn't go to work.

She didn't?

I'll take it.

Your daughter, Ha Ra, killed a person.

She killed Eun Jo and her dad.

Mom.

Are you sick?

Why did you do it, Ha Ra?

Why did you do that to Eun Jo?

Why did you ruin your entire life...

just because of Sun Hyuk?

Eat this. You need your energy.

She must've found out that Se Rin's dad...

lost her 50 million dollars.

Mom. Did Se Rin come to see you?

Why? Did she say something?

I know that her dad lost your money.

All 50 million dollars.

I see.

Mom.

You must be really upset.

I'd want to kill him if it were me.

- Ha Ra. - But...

it's not like being sick about it will bring your money back.

Just use Se Rin like a slave for the rest of her life.

She's DDM Queen anyway.

Use her fame to launch the brand and make it a success...

I'll take care of Se Rin.

Mom. If you kick her out now, she'll have nowhere to go.

If you don't take her in, her life will be utterly useless.

You know that.

She's my friend. Take her in for me.

You're tiptoeing around her because she's blackmailing you...

with that security footage, aren't you?

And...

no matter how hard things are,

take care of your health first.

It upsets me so much...

to see you sick.

Okay.

I will.

You keep this in mind.

No matter what you've done,

I'm on your side.

There's nothing I won't do...

for your happiness.

So don't worry about a thing,

and trust me, okay?

You're so silly.

Ha Jun, what's wrong?

My baby. Why do you look so sad?

Grandma. What do I do?

I'm overwhelmed already with what happened to Mom,

but something else huge happened.

Ha Jun. I don't know what it is,

but when things were too hard to handle for me,

I dealt with them slowly one by one.

Even if a thread is tangled badly, if you untangle it slowly,

you will find a way to fix it eventually.

I'll try that.

I'll do what you did.

I'll deal with them slowly one by one.

Are you going to work?

Once you get to the office,

tell Ga Heun to stay away from my husband's hospital room.

Tell her I'll never divorce him if she goes to see him again.

Ha Ra. Were you really a monster?

You killed Eun Jo so that you could have Sun Hyuk?

Why did you kill her father too?

What's wrong with you?

Why are you glaring at me like that?

Do you even care what others think?

It's because you're subhuman.

What's his problem? He's killing my mood.

Him and his temper.

I'm meeting Chairman Oh today...

to discuss your engagement.

- Today? - That's right.

We have to rush it at least because of Sun Hyuk.

Just as you made a deal with Ha Ra for him,

I made a deal with Ha Jun to be his partner in revenge.

I know you're not happy about the engagement,

but Sun Hyuk started to suspect your true identity.

If he finds out, he'll become the biggest stumbling block.

So we must finish before then.

Do you understand?

Yes... I do.

You look much better.

Yes, thanks to you.

Why did you suddenly ask about Na Wook Do last night?

That? I saw that the last text you got was from him.

I asked the police to investigate.

Why did you meet him, anyway?

I think Ha Ra hired him to do a job for her.

I was afraid it would endanger Ga Heun.

I wanted to check,

which was why I went to his office.

I see.

There's nothing else bothering you, right?

Actually,

Ha Ra and Na Wook Do mentioned Eun Jo.

I don't know why. That keeps bothering me.

Ha Ra was probably looking for dirt on Ms. Hwang.

She probably wants to prove she isn't Ji Na Hwang's daughter.

Sun Hyuk. Let me ask you this one thing.

Why were you drawn to Ms. Hwang?

Why are you suddenly asking me that?

Were you trying to find your angelic first love...

in Ms. Hwang?

It's difficult to explain,

but Eun Jo was inside of Ga Heun.

Sun Hyuk.

The Eun Jo that you saw in Ms. Hwang...

isn't the Eun Jo that you know.

She did that to you on purpose to get revenge on Ha Ra.

But she isn't. You know that!

You know she isn't Eun Jo!

Sir. Did something happen?

Of course, not.

You jump in without thinking...

whenever it involves Eun Jo, and that makes me angry.

Take care of yourself for now.

I'll handle Na Wook Do and company.

Bye.

Excuse me.

Yes?

Can we talk for a minute?

You want to know how Eun Jo's father passed away?

Yes.

But why?

Well... Sun Hyuk seemed to always feel guilty...

about his death.

When his company went bankrupt five years ago,

Sun Hyuk tried hard to stop it.

You know about that too?

That was all your sister Ha Ra's doing.

She threw my brother into perdition.

Everything that happened to Eun Jo's family...

was like a bolt from the blue for my brother.

Eun Jo's father passed away because he couldn't get...

his insulin shot in time while digging into her death.

It was at home too.

At home?

You are pretty much Se Rin's accomplice.

And you stopped my dad from getting his insulin shot.

Who found Eun Jo's father...

when he passed away?

Who else? Naturally, Se Rin, who lived there with them.

If only Ha Ra hadn't taken her to that bachelorette party,

Eun Jo wouldn't have died.

And if Se Rin had just given Mr. Ko his insulin shot,

he wouldn't have passed away.

Anyway, if justice exists in this world,

the rats who did that to Eun Jo's family...

will be punished.

They'll get what they deserve.

Karma will get them.

Bo Mi, do you know...

that Ga Heun is Eun Jo?

Is Sun Hyuk the only one in the dark?

How's Sun Hyuk?

Don't get me started.

When I heard that he was stabbed...

with a knife,

I was terrified that he was going to die.

Gosh. But he's fine now.

The surgery went well. He can come home this week.

That's so great.

I don't know how I got anything done after hearing the news.

Thank you.

So... Sweetie. Take one of these.

Here you go.

We need to take care of our own health.

That way, you'll be strong if something happens to your family.

Okay, thanks.

What do you think? Did I get prettier?

Gosh. The pretty ones are worse. Seriously.

That's right. Tae Sik came by while you were out.

He did?

That rat. You should've kicked him out.

I tried,

but he had a gift certificate...

from when you first opened.

Seriously. He brought that here?

Wow. Seriously. How could that swine...

be so shameless?

How thick-skinned is he?

It's like he has cow leather for skin.

When Mr. Ko died...

They said he stole your entire fortune.

How could he be so shameless and show his face here?

I wanted to throw a bucket of cold water on him,

but Eun Gyul and Hoon were here, so I gave him some chicken.

But while he was eating, he kept begging for a job here.

I was cold and kicked him out.

Good job. Good.

How many people ended up out on the street because of him?

That jerk deserves to rot in jail.

If justice exists in this world,

he should be kicked out onto the street and suffer.

I know.

I'm sure there are people who will punish him even if I don't.

Darn it.

Darn it. I'm too hungry to sleep.

Oh my gosh. This was my food for the day.

You wretched birds!

You little... Seriously.

You little...

That's so bitter.

You little thief.

Hey. Stop. Wait.

What did you call me? A thief?

You punk.

- I'm DDM's White Pants, punk. - Hey!

- Who are they? - Get over here.

You punk. How dare you try to pull that here?

- You jerk. - Help! Somebody help!

Help! My gosh. Sirs.

Wait. Stop.

I'm sorry, sirs!

I'm sorry. I was wrong. I'm sorry! I'm sorry!

What, she really isn't here.

I told you she took the day off.

- Please leave. - Fine.

Anyway, why did she take the day off?

Is she sick? She wasn't answering the phone.

I don't know what you said to her,

but she has been bedridden since.

She has?

There's no time for that.

We have to launch DDM Venus right away,

so tell her I came...

No. Actually, tell her to send me money right away...

for rent for my office and my living expenses.

It's urgent.

What?

I've been having a very emotionally tiring few days,

so I'm going to relax at the spa at Jewang Hotel in her name.

Tell her that too.

What exactly does she have on Ms. Geum?

Ha Jun!

You saw how Ga Heun treated me on the roof, right?

I was so scared. I had to run away first.

I hear you're getting engaged to her.

She's using you.

You'll never know what she's really like.

Ha Ra.

You are pretty much Se Rin's accomplice.

Se Rin. How involved are you with Ha Ra?

Don't you feel guilty toward Eun Jo?

Ha Jun. I'm going to beat Ga Heun this time with DDM Venus.

I need to save you from her.

This is my life goal right now.

Se Rin. We need to talk.

Give me straight answers to what I'm about to ask.

If you lie, I swear I'll make you pay.

You're scaring me.

What do you want to ask?

Bo Mi told me everything.

She said you found Eun Jo's father when he passed away.

Yes, that's right.

Why do you want to know about that?

The man who attacked Sun Hyuk mentioned Eun Jo's name.

Se Rin. You sent Na Wook Do to attack Sun Hyuk, didn't you?

Don't you feel any guilt for what you did five years ago?

How could you try to kill Sun Hyuk too?

What? Does Ha Jun know...

that it was Wook Do who attacked Sun Hyuk?

Stop trying to think.

The person who attacked Sun Hyuk was your boyfriend Na Wook Do.

He's not my boyfriend.

We're over. There's nothing going on between us.

Just answer my question.

Why did you do that to Eun Jo's father?

Why didn't you give him the insulin shot?

Ha Jun. You talk as if...

I intentionally made him die.

I was the one who ran to him with his insulin shot to save him.

If Ha Ra hadn't...

Ha Ra?

If Ha Ra hadn't what?

Was Ha Ra there too?

I don't know... I don't remember.

I have to go. Don't ask anymore...

Did you really try to save Eun Jo's father?

Did you really not do anything wrong to Eun Jo?

I told you. I tried to save him.

I did nothing wrong.

Don't do this to me. Ask Ha Ra.

Se Rin. You and Ha Ra...

really did kill Ms. Hwang's father.

Ms. Hwang. You must've wanted to kill Se Rin...

and Ha Ra so badly.

Just how deep is your rage?

Ha Ra was stuck to Sun Hyuk like some stalker,

so I couldn't tell you to come.

He's good. The surgery went well and he's recovering quickly.

He'll come home this week.

That's great.

Thank you so much.

Nonsense.

But Ga Heun, Ha Jun came by earlier...

and asked how your dad passed away.

He did?

Why?

He said my brother has felt guilty ever since your dad passed,

and that he was worried about him.

But it's kind of random, isn't it?

Ha Jun asked about that?

I didn't think this would happen after Ha Jun's broken engagement.

Thank you for bringing up the engagement first.

We must forget the past for the success of the new brand.

And the two of them are public about their relationship.

There's no reason to delay.

Chairman Oh.

Ha Jun is simply a flint for my revenge.

I plan to let them choose the date for their engagement ceremony.

What do you think?

Go ahead.

I'm sure you feel bad since Chairman Han is still ill,

but news about her grandson getting engaged may help her.

Thank you for the thought.

I've been thinking a lot about the harsh things you said...

when you came by the other time...

to discuss Ha Jun's dismissal.

I was ashamed and kicked myself for letting myself be controlled...

by my wife and letting her propose his dismissal.

I'm glad you concluded that she was controlling you.

But sir.

Let me ask you something.

Oman Group's president's suicide 30 years ago...

Was that also the result of your wrong judgment...

because of Ms. Geum?

How do you know...

Were you involved with him in some way?

Oh Byung Gook.

The man that you pushed to his death...

was my husband.

I did my research before investing in the new brand.

Don't you regret what you did back then?

Hypothetically speaking, if you could go back in time,

what would you do?

It's something I still regret all the time.

But I still believe it was the best option.

A man responsible for a company...

can't be swayed by personal feelings of pity.

Personal feelings of pity.

Although a person's life is at stake.

You are very cruel.

Other people's sacrifices are a necessary evil in business.

When you're responsible for a company,

you must step on someone else's sacrifice.

Some people will call me a cruel and heartless businessman.

Since your nickname is a corporate predator,

I'm sure you understand my position on the matter.

Oh Byung Gook.

I'll make sure what you say comes back to bite you.

I'll make sure your son isn't swayed...

by personal feelings of pity when he kicks you out.

Ha Ra. Se Rin.

How could you do something so heinous to Eun Jo?

How deplorable a monster have you two become?

You used Se Rin to kill Star and me.

And you stopped my dad from getting his insulin shot.

I'm sure she said, "Star."

Who's Star?

I've heard that name before.

Hoon. You met my girlfriend who came over, right?

You know her well, right?

Ms. Star?

Ms. Star?

Oh no. We're secret friends.

Secret friends?

Are you secret friends with her?

Yes.

That's right. Hoon called Ms. Hwang...

"Ms. Star."

Here.

What is this?

Bruce Lee said this.

I don't know who that is.

"I fear not the man who has practiced 1,000 kicks,"

"but I fear the man who has practiced..."

"one kick 1,000 times."

I don't understand.

Practice just this one thing.

Then you can become like Eun Gyul.

Like that.

Wow. You're super cool.

I'm going to be you when I grow up.

You can call me "Master."

Yes, Master.

(Uncle)

Hi, Uncle.

Hi, Hoon. I called to ask you something.

What is it?

You called my girlfriend "Ms. Star" before, right?

Why did you call her that?

That's because she's Star's mommy.

I'm busy, so I have to go.

Star's mommy?

Then Star, who died,

was Sun Hyuk's baby?

Ha Ra. Se Rin.

Did you kill Eun Jo's baby too? You're demons.

If anything happens to me, someone else will release this.

So Mother, don't even think about killing me.

Someone else will release it?

Was she telling the truth?

Or was it an empty threat?

Lying here won't solve anything.

If that gets out, Ha Ra will rot in jail...

for the rest of her life.

Mother.

When can we launch DDM Venus?

Why aren't you sending me money for rent and living expenses?

Send it right now.

You know my account number.

Do you need it again?

Has she lost her mind?

Is she acting like my creditor...

because of the dirt she has on Ha Ra?

Yes. Ha Ra was right.

Both Ms. Park and Se Rin are like parasites.

I can't keep two parasites by my side.

I can't let Se Rin be.

(Getting a CT scan)

He must be getting examined.

Ha Ra. How dare you come back here?

Is it that weird that a wife is here to take care of her husband?

Ha Ra. How could you...

deceive Sun Hyuk for five years?

You killed Eun Jo, her father, and her baby.

Sun Hyuk married you, knowing nothing.

Don't you feel bad for him?

Why do you keep glaring at me like that since this morning?

Are you still mad about what happened to your mom?

Leave quietly before Sun Hyuk gets back.

Get out! Please!

No! You're the one who needs to get out.

Stop looking at me like that and ruining my mood.

How could you do that? How could a person do that?

What's wrong with you?

What did I do?

How did you live like nothing happened after doing that?

Aren't you ashamed to face Hoon?

Don't you feel guilty toward Sun Hyuk at all?

You're not making any sense.

What did I do that was so wrong?

What's wrong, sir? What is it?

Have you lost your mind?

Darn it!

Babe, how did the examination go?

I brought you flowers.

Aren't they pretty?

Give it a rest.

I'm begging you. I don't want to see your face.

Are you all right?

What is it?

Did Ha Ra do something to upset you again?

Sun Hyuk. What will I do with you?

Ha Ra killed your baby.

Star is your baby.

What's wrong? What is it?

It's nothing. I'm fine.

Are you sure you're okay?

Sun Hyuk.

What if...

by chance,

Eun Jo came back to life?

What would you do?

Eun Jo again? You brought her up this morning too.

I said, "What if."

Ga Heun asked me the same thing a while ago.

She said she'd be Eun Jo for me...

for just a day.

That's probably because Ms. Hwang wasn't over you either.

But for me,

Eun Jo didn't die.

She lives forever in my heart.

So "What if" is meaningless to me.

Of course, I don't mean I'll look for Eun Jo in Ga Heun.

But strangely,

I feel like...

Eun Jo sent Ga Heun to me.

Like destiny.

Why did you want to see me?

Ms. Hwang, stop tormenting Sun Hyuk.

What do you mean?

I'll let you use me for your revenge,

but remove Sun Hyuk from your revenge.

I don't understand what you're talking about.

Eun Jo!

Sun Hyuk shouldn't be a target of your revenge.

(Miss Monte-Cristo)

Do you think my revenge will end there?

I won't let you even think about the revenge you dream of.

Tell Sun Hyuk you'll marry me.

Before I get rid of Se Rin,

I have to hire DDM Queen to be DDM Venus's designer.

I won't just marry Ms. Hwang, I'm going to marry her.

What is all of this?

Hi, babe. Do you like it?

Aren't you proud of me? Let's start over.

Let's reset everything.

- I know that Ga Heun is Eun Jo. - What?

I know what you did to Eun Jo!
