Aren't you afraid of offending the Yuan family?

They even prepared you

a comfortable carriage.

Aren't you afraid of offending Madam Hong?

There's no such thing as

breaking a cooperation as one pleases.

Moreover, Madam Hong is an understanding person.

Flip-flopping, being dishonest,

treacherous.

As expected from Young Master Yang.

-You've amazed me. -Thanks.

It's my pleasure to help Miss Yue

know me better.

Shuan Zi must be lonely.

I'll stay with him.

Excuse me.

Why did you come out?

Don't you know why?

I don't want to be a third wheel.

Seems so.

I wonder

if all the businessmen

are as calculating as you.

What do you mean?

Right.

A selfish person like you

won't care

about other's feelings but your own.

Even after I told you 100 times

not to make things difficult for me,

you'll still

bully me

as long as you're happy.

You don't care if

I'll suffer because you get near me.

Because all you think about is yourself.

You never cared about other's feelings.

You're like this to Yin Ruo as well as me.

You've promised me

that you'll marry Yin Ruo

if I agreed to escort you.

You are now Yin Ruo's fiance.

You should be virtuous for her.

Yet you went to Chun Feng Pavilion to be with Sikong Mu Yun,

and you ruined my marriage.

You...

You're lacking in virtue.

Are you thirsty? Try this.

The Yuan family prepared it for us.

Stop the carriage.

Sister, why did you come out?

It's too stuffy inside, I need some fresh air.

Move aside.

Take this.

Young Master, what's wrong?

It's too stuffy inside, I need some fresh air.

Young Master.

Miss Yue has got the wrong idea.

Why didn't you explain to her?

Miss Yue has misunderstood that

you received help from Yuan family

but screwed Yuan Zi Jun.

It's bad since you're pursuing Miss Yue.

I can make Yue Zi Yuan fall in love with me

even without this.

Why the rush?

It's unfair for you.

You agreed with

Madam Hong's unequal conditions

and took a big risk

to get the Yuan family's support.

For such things,

it'll be less risky if lesser people know.

Don't tell anyone

or I'll beat you up.

You don't trust Miss Yue?

I trust her,

that's why I keep it from her.

Why?

You just need to explain to her

and play some tricks,

then Miss Yue will change her opinion on you.

Perhaps she will even marry you.

Why do you have so many questions?

It's risky.

I should take the risk alone.

I'm reluctant

to make her scared.

Liu Tiao, I'm warning you.

Don't tell anyone

about this matter

or I'll deduct your annual bonus.

Fine.

Where are Yue Zi Yuan and Shuan Zi?

They are gone all of a sudden.

I saw them heading towards the riverbank.

Let's wait in the carriage.

Okay.

Such a fool.

He keeps everything to himself

and carries the burden alone.

I can share his burden too.

[To be opened by Brother Yang Zhuo]

I'm really mad.

Darn Yang Xiao.

Not only did he instigate Sister Zi Yuan to leave me behind,

but he also asked me to be the messenger.

The letter to Yang Zhuo?

Why did he put it in my house?

Young Master.

Zi Jun.

Sister Yin Ruo, what brings you here today?

We're here for Yang Xiao.

Has he been here?

Don't mention him.

Where did he go?

Who are you?

Young Master Yuan.

I'm Yang Zhuo, the brother of Yang Xiao.

Zi Jun,

do you know where Yang Xiao is?

Why?

Do you want to look for them?

Yes.

I can go with you guys.

Never mind, Zi Jun.

-We can go by ourselves. -No, Sister.

We are family.

We are connected.

I'll do anything for this.

Young Master Yuan, I've told Yang Xiao

that Miss Bai and I are on our way here.

Why did they leave so hastily?

Young Master Yuan,

I wonder if Yang Xiao leaves a letter behind.

He did.

Hold on.

[Brother Zhuo]

This...

Okay.

What's wrong? What did it say?

Did Sister Zi Yuan ask me to look for her?

The Xie family's Court?

The Xie family's Court?

What are we waiting for?

Let's go.

Young Master Yang, let's check it out.

Okay.

This is the Xie family's Court.

It is picturesque and beautiful.

You know this place well?

Of course.

The mistress here, Xie Ling'er,

has been secretly in love with my brother.

To be precise, she has fallen in love with my brother for years.

So, dealing with her family

is easier than dealing with the Yuan family.

She's in love with your brother, not you.

If she invites you for dinner,

that's just being polite.

But will she help you?

You've underestimated my charm.

Listen.

I'll settle the Xie family in three days.

What if you can't?

If I can't,

I'll marry into the Shenwei Armed Escorts.

Marry you,

and have many little escorts.

In your dream.

Liu Tiao, Shuan Zi,

catch up!

You've never been here, don't go so fast.

I have my way with directions.

Ling'er, we're here.

Young Master Yang Xiao, it's been a long time.

Who is she?

This is Chief Yue of Shenwei Armed Escorts,

Yue Zi Yuan.

Greetings, Miss Xie.

Where's Brother Zhuo?

My brother

isn't here.

He isn't here?

-Show them out! -Don't!

My

sister-in-law,

show some mercy.

After all this while,

you're still this eloquent.

[Xie Ling'er, the mistress of the Xie family's Court]

Too bad.

Brother Zhuo isn't here.

I'm heartbroken.

Miss Xie, I'm here

to make a deal with you.

As I have come

all the way here,

please do me a favour.

I only deal with Brother Zhuo.

No one but him.

This is the rule of the Xie family's Court.

I'll ask the servants to prepare meals. Sorry.

So, you can deal with her in three days?

You're eager to have me marry into Shenwei,

aren't you?

Where's your brother now?

I'm not sure.

My brother is rigid.

Miss Xie has expressed her feelings for over 100 times.

But he keeps turning her down.

And he has not stepped into

the place within 100 li of the Court

for three years to avoid her.

But I already left a letter

to Yuan Zi Jun.

If I'm not mistaken,

my brother

will be on his way here.

So, this is my plan.

Once he has arrived,

we'll enlighten them with affection

and make my brother sacrifice himself

to convince Miss Xie.

That's your brother, mind you.

Is this really a good idea?

Miss Xie really likes my brother.

And don't you think that my brother

is lonely from being single?

Young Master Yang Zhuo is indeed better

compared to you.

But

love isn't about

forcing, is it?

Your brother should be the one to decide.

Why can't you be this sensible

when it comes to me and Bai Yin Ruo?

So, this is the Xie family's Court.

Amazing. It is beautiful.

But I guess

it's because I'm going to meet

Sister Zi Yuan soon

that everything seems fine to me.

Brother Zhuo!

Brother Zhuo!

It's been three years.

I finally see you again.

Who is this vixen?

Xie Ling'er, mind your tongue.

She's Bai Yin Ruo, the Young Lady of the Bai family.

Yin Ruo, this is Xie Ling'er.

I am Xie Ling'er,

the mistress here,

as well as Brother Zhuo's childhood sweetheart.

Don't touch me. We shouldn't be this intimate.

-Brother Zhuo! -Let go.

-Don't you miss me? -Ling'er!

I miss you so much. Let's go.

Let go, Xie Ling'er!

Zi Jun. Yin Ruo.

Sister Zi Yuan.

I finally... I finally found you.

Stop that.

Yang Xiao, we need to settle the score.

Did you remove the wheels of my carriage?

Stop.

Go fight over there.

Fine.

Listen, Yang Xiao.

We'll see who is better today.

Who cares?

I'm clearly better.

-Come on. -Let's go.

-Hurry up! -I'm not afraid of you!

-Do you think I'm afraid? -Tell me, was it you?

What are you going to do then?

I'm sure it's you.

Yin Ruo, what are you doing here?

My novel is selling well recently.

The bookstore owner

wants me to update more episodes.

I'm here to search for inspiration.

That's great! Congratulations!

I knew it.

Yin Ruo is outstanding.

You and Yang Xiao...

There's nothing between us. Don't worry.

I'll definitely keep my distance from Yang Xiao.

[Chapter 57 The Yuan family of Nanyang]

[Yang Xiao and the female armed escort rushed to the Yuan family.]

How to pronounce this word?

It's "luan".

What an interesting book.

So, you are reading the book too.

Miss Bai, what brings you here?

Miss Bai, it's all fake in this book.

Young Master and Miss Yue

are innocent.

Right, nothing happened between them.

It's really hot out here. We need to cool down.

Right.

I wrote this book.

Of course I know.

You wrote it?

Miss Bai, you're amazing!

We are your fans.

Right, Miss Bai.

I heard you agreed to serialize it.

How will the story unfold?

Tell us about it!

I'm planning to write about the Yuan family of Nanyang.

But I have no idea

what you've experienced there.

Can you tell me about it?

We know it all.

Miss Bai, isn't the plot of the book fictional?

It should be combined with the actual situation too.

Miss Bai, have a seat.

Have a seat.

What do you want to know?

We'll tell you everything.

Right.

But can you add our names to the byline

if we tell you?

I want to be the second one. I want my name on it too.

The second one?

I know more than you do.

I'd be contributing more.

Why can't I be the second one?

Do you know what the details of love is?

What do you know?

Your young master is the second child, so you want to be the second one too.

-Number two family. -What do you know, hot head?

-Number two! -Do you know what love is?

[Qingyue Town]

The sense of freedom is great and nice.

You asked me out to express the sense of freedom?

You're the armed escort I hired.

You should do

what I ask.

Listen, Xiao'er.

Stay away from me.

Yin Ruo is here. You have to keep your distance.

This is the Huifu Pavilion of the Yang family.

[Huifu Pavilion]

I'm tight on money lately.

I can ask the manager for some money

and ask him to support my business.

Manager Qian,

please have mercy, Manager Qian.

I have a family.

Please show some mercy.

Otherwise,

my family will starve to death!

Yes, Manager Qian.

Please have mercy.

Our family has run out of food.

Mr Tong, you can't say that.

The standard of the tea leaves is not up to us.

Moreover, the tea leaves

are to be taken to the capital city.

The cost is certainly higher

as we're taking the official route.

You knew that.

Manager Qian, you're right.

But according to your price,

our family

will have to live on air.

There are tons of people like that.

The Yang family isn't doing well too.

And you two,

you kneeling here...

What's going on?

This is Mr Tong from Hengyun Firm.

He is the tea leaf supplier of the Yang family.

They have poor harvest this year due to the insect infestations.

And the Yang family

raised their acquisition criteria.

So, the Tong family goes bust.

Now they are here to beg Manager Qian for mercy.

Manager Qian.

Young Master Yang Xiao.

What brings you here?

What's the matter?

Let's talk about it later.

Get these troublemakers out.

Don't spoil the young master's mood.

Manager Qian! You can't do this!

You can't leave us to die.

-Manager Qian! -Manager Qian!

Young Master Yang Xiao, it's hard to be a manager.

Let's go inside, I'll explain later.

Then I shall

hear your

explanation out.

Dismiss.

Dismiss.

Manager Qian,

the Yang family's Huifu Pavilion

is being managed in perfect order.

And the business is running smoothly.

I'm here to open up a new trade route.

I hope that you can support me.

New trade route?

Young Master Yang Xiao, I'm afraid it's inappropriate.

The Yang family's business has been using

the route which is managed by Lord Wang Rong

for years.

The profit is lesser,

but it's safe.

Moreover,

your parents passed away

because of this.

Back then,

the old master was very kind to me.

He treated me as his family.

Who knew they would be attacked by the bandits.

Manager Qian.

Young Master Yang Xiao, why don't you postpone this?

I can't make the call.

Manager Qian, don't be sad.

I'll do

what I've decided.

If my parents were alive,

they would support me.

Get me some money.

We'll talk about the details later.

Young Master Yang Xiao, one moment please.

I'll go get it now.

Fabric.

Check out the stylish fabric.

Young lady, come take a look. They are new.

I've found it out.

Mr Tong is an upright

and honest person,

but he is being crowded out by the traders

because he supported the new trade route.

The Yang family is not an exception.

And it's said that

it was Manager Qian who started it.

Manager Qian?

He indeed resents the new trade route.

I'm sure there is a reason why he could secure his position

and run such a big business

of the Yang family.

From what I noticed,

he seems different.

We have to investigate him.

A nobody like Yang Xiao

wants to open a new trade route?

Just get rid of him.

What's so difficult about it?

After Yang Yuan Xiu died,

Yang Xiao was adopted by the second old master.

There are many

old workers of his father in this store.

They are loyal to him.

Now that he's here,

I have to be really cautious.

Moreover,

if he insists on making the Huifu Pavilion

his base of the new trade route,

I'm afraid I can't reject him.

[Hu Mei Ren, wife of General Fan]

Manager Qian, don't you know

who is the person behind us?

And know that

you have relied on him

to become who you are today.

I do know.

It's all thanks to Lord Wang.

I'm glad you know.

So, do you know what to do

with those who get in our way?

I do. I understood.

-I think Mr Tong is quite pitiful. -Is he?

So, I gave him some money.

I need a reimbursement.

What's the rush?

What's mine is yours.

In that case,

pay me the money back.

When did you ever...

Who are you guys?

You're wearing weird masks in the daytime.

Are you guys that shameful?

Well,

it must be because you're too ugly.

That's why you can't show your faces.

Attack!

Forget about the new trade route.

Or

it will be your lives next time.

Let's go.

You're hurt.

I'm fine. It's just a minor injury.

Maybe we shouldn't take the new trade route.

I'm afraid you'll be killed.

I must carry on.

I got hurt

trying to save you.

I would've

beaten them up if I was alone.

I'm sorry.

Let's go back.

Treat your wound first.

You couldn't defeat Yang Xiao

and even let him go?

So useless.

Madam Hu, Wu Shuang did his best.

Besides, Yang Xiao is seriously injured now.

I guess he won't be a trouble.

He has been punished.

Keep an eye on him.

If anything else happens,

we'll be in trouble.

Yes, I understand.

Hang in there.

Does it hurt?

No. Don't worry.

Hang in there, okay?

It's done.

Come on.

Come on.

Thank you for saving me just now.

I regret getting you involved in this.

If you were the one who got hurt,

I'd be in more pain.
