"Episode 25"

Even when you were merely a servant of Mount Xiangqu,

you never lost your faith.

You never failed to uphold your code.

Being a commoner never satisfied you.

That's because you knew...

the only person to rebuild Li...

was you.

So, the only princess you ever loved is her.

Let's go to the ceremony.

The ceremony is starting.

I need to send this tablet over there.

Since you made this with your own hands,

you can destroy it with your own hands.

I understand.

The ceremony commence!

All hail the mighty God.

Protection to the people with His legacy and peace to the world.

A legacy passed by all the previous emperors of Li,

we shall never forget!

Kneel!

Bow!

Rise.

The second bow!

Rise.

The third bow!

Rise.

Don't expect for me to play the role for you.

If you want a peace of mind,

take back what's yours.

You look unsightly as a coward!

I want to see...

if you take on the responsibility of your own duty.

That's because you knew...

the only person to rebuild Li...

was you.

Fellow officers.

According to the old customs of Li,

the Prayer to Heaven...

should conducted by the Emperor and then the Crown Prince.

But today,

I have no right to stand on this very altar.

What is going on?

The daughter of Emperor of Li...

is still well and alive among us!

-She is alive? -Xuan Zhu.

She is alive?

I thought she died.

Xuan Zhu, what is this nonsense?

-Where is the princess? -Where is she now?

The Emperor's daughter...

No.

is her!

Qin Chuan is the princess?

No way! She can't be the princess!

-That is not possible. -Why did you do that?

She is running away from the reality she can't escape.

How is it wrong for me to push her into facing it?

Qin Chuan, is that really you?

Was it you? Say something!

Are you really His Majesty's daughter?

Say something!

Let's go.

Master Zi Chen.

Master Zi Chen, tell us! What is going on?

Silence!

Do you have any idea how much she sacrificed...

for the sake of Li?

Let's go.

-Zi Chen! -Master Zi Chen!

We need answers! Master Zi Chen!

Xuan Zhu, what is going on?

What is going on now?

This can't be happening!

It's all right now.

Yan Yan.

You know how prideful and fragile Xuan Zhu can be.

She is just a little mean with her words.

She doesn't want you to keep sulking in the pain.

So,

I believe after what she said today,

-she will regret it. -Zi Chen.

Do what you must.

I will give the people an explanation.

Xuan Zhu?

Does it hurt?

Madam.

You are late.

She left the mountain.

She seemed resolute when she left.

Not even I could stop her.

Did she mention where she is headed to?

Even as her mother,

I don't know her as much as you do.

I thought she could become a sage,

a consort for the prince,

a princess.

But it turned out...

she doesn't even want to be my daughter.

Don't worry about it.

No matter what it takes,

I will find her.

Zuo Zi Chen!

My student.

Are you leaving the mountain...

to meditate with me?

Back off.

My consort.

You never change.

Such a bad temper.

What?

Why don't you turn around...

and take a look at me?

Impossible.

My consort.

After seeing me,

you should be happy.

Impossible. You are already...

Dead? Is that right?

I am sorry to disappoint you.

But to be honest,

the arrow...

caused excruciating pain...

when it pierced my heart.

All this time...

I had been caged alive in that flask.

Do you know...

what it feels like to be caged inside a bottle?

Every single day...

I had to listen to foolish people...

saying those foolish ideas.

The most foolish of all is this old man.

A few lies were enough to trick him.

You have great use to me.

What do you want?

After our parting at Hao Tian Temple,

I've missed you ever since.

What exactly were you thinking?

You knew it all along that Yan Yan has been here?

Am I right?

In that case,

why did you go to Xuan Zhu?

You should have left her alone!

Because she holds...

an important place in my heart.

I will find her.

Goodbye.

Do you know the pain of living hell?

Do you know what I had been through?

The feeling worse than pain!

You don't know.

But it matters not.

I will make you pay...

hundreds and thousands folds.

What do you want?

I knew you would be here.

Come, have a seat.

When I first came here,

I've paid attention to you.

I don't know why,

but somehow...

you gave me a familiar look like we've met before.

-I... -As a fellow officer...

that serves Li,

I'll ask you one last time.

Are you really Princess Yan Yan?

On the day of invasion, my family was slaughtered.

My master helped me escape from the capital.

He taught me a way to cleanse the world of demons.

But I must change my look...

and go to Mount Xiangqu.

I may be wearing a different face,

but everything about my life in Li...

has never been forgotten.

I am Princess Yan Yan,

I am glad to see you, Uncle Zuo.

At your service, Princess Yan Yan!

Uncle Zuo.

Please, stand up.

Your Highness.

Hearing you address me as a family...

made my heart...

My heart can finally be at peace.

Please, stand up.

Please, get up.

Your Highness, right after the prayer ceremony,

Xuan Zhu told me about your past.

The Spirit Lantern is an item of great perils.

You must not seek it, Your Highness!

Uncle Zuo, please.

You are the last remaining descendant...

of Emperor of Li.

If anything happens to you,

I could never have the dignity...

-to face the late Emperor! -But I lost the Spirit Lantern.

It could bring greater chaos to the livings.

Isn't that a risk?

Your Highness.

I kindly request Chancellor Zuo...

to look after the people for me.

I swear on my life,

the people will get an answer from me.

Your Highness.

Your Highness.

All hail Your Highness.

The Emperor's daughter...

No.

is her!

Qin Chuan is the princess?

No way! She can't be the princess!

That is not possible.

Master Zi Chen!

Master Zi Chen, tell us! What is going on?

Silence!

Do you have any idea how much she sacrificed...

for the sake of Li?

All hail the mighty God.

Protection to the people with His legacy...

and peace to the world.

A legacy passed by all the previous emperors of Li,

we shall never forget!

The Emperor's daughter,

sincerely yours.

Chuan!

Chuan!

Chuan, you need to pull yourself together.

Lord Jiu Yun won't allow you to become so wasted.

Jiu Yun told me...

he only ever wanted me to be happy.

There is nothing I can do other than being happy.

Do you even know where he is or what he is doing?

Lord Jiu Yun is headed to the place of his destiny.

He went after the Stone of Clarity capable of killing the Demon Lord.

He is in great danger.

He could...

He wouldn't tell you...

because he is doing this for you!

Don't you get it?

What is this place of his destiny?

Where is he now?

I can't tell you.

Either the way...

-Jiu Yun is now... -Tell me where he is!

Jiu Yun.

This place is cold and barren.

There is no end to it.

Is there really a volcano here?

From what I've seen,

it's concealed with magic...

deep under the ice.

Don't you feel the heat as we move forward?

You are right, this is strange.

When we were at the Glacier Town,

the weather was freezing.

But where is this heat coming from as we walk?

Are you all right?

Tell me.

Where is the Stone of Clarity...

actually growing on?

Mei Shan.

This was never your mission.

Perhaps you should turn back now.

I am fine.

I just need a rest.

Jiu Yun.

Let me show you...

some of my babies.

This is Golden Raven's Claw.

It heals all kinds of burn injury.

Drink this potion and it'll heal you.

And this is even better.

Glacial Kilin Scale.

Unlock your seal and put this Armour on.

Even if you walk in the fiery inferno,

roll in it or even run on it,

you will never get burned.

This is even better.

Pill of Vitality. Consume one of these...

and it can extend your life by seven days.

As long as you are conscious,

You won't return to your primal form.

And this is greater!

This...

Mei Shan.

You should just leave.

Do you remember this place?

Jiu Yun?

The wick of Spirit Lantern.

Jiu Yun!

Jiu Yun!

Fu Jiu Yun!

He left the mirror connected to me.

I can't reach him without the mirror.

Mirror?

Mirror?

He has my mirror.

-The bronze mirror? -Yes.

-Okay. -Hurry up.

Lord Jiu Yun!

Do you think...

the Tethering Spike is enough to harm me?

All the energies are within me.

Even the barrier of cast on glaciers can be torn!

There is nothing that can stop me.

So,

the Master of Mount Xiangqu was under your control.

My dear Jiu Yun.

Of course the Stone of Clarity is not here.

Are you foolish enough to think I would risk baiting you...

with my very fatal flaw?

This place...

is your fatal flaw!

Lord Jiu Yun!

Lord Jiu Yun!

What is this place?

It's the volcano of the North Yonder.

The North Yonder?

It will takes us months even with a swift horse!

I can take you to Glacier Town at the foothill!

I won't let you destroy the Spirit Lantern!

Bai!

I must go to Jiu Yun.

You are a sage of mirror.

The cold could kill you, am I right?

The heat and cold will be extreme there.

You can't come with me, you could die!

But...

Stay here.

I'll bring him back.

Chuan!

How are you supposed to bring him back?

Xuan Zhu.

Does it hurt?

Why are you here?

I apologize for earlier.

I ordered my man to keep your from making noises.

Dugu Duo Tian,

why did you knock him out?

I am used to assassination, I apologize.

What is going on here?

I've been following and keeping an eye on her.

I was there...

when the Master of Mount Xiangqu took her away.

Xuan Zhu...

was taken by him?

Or precisely speaking,

my brother who was using the body of that old man.

Li Yuan?

But wasn't he killed by Qin Chuan with the arrow?

Could it be...

Li Yuan's spiritual energy?

Not just the spiritual energy,

even his body...

walks on the streets of Gao Capital and the court.

That was demonic.

So,

I followed him to Mount Xiangqu.

And I ran into you.

So I order my men to keep you quiet...

or drawing the demons's attention.

He hates me to the bone right now.

Where is Xuan Zhu?

Your Highness.

That demon has taken Princess Xuan Zhu...

to the North Yonder.

The North Yonder?

Can you take me there?

Of course.

Casting teleportation spell...

is just a walk in the park.

Jiu Yun.

You should be a pile of ashes by now.

I am surprised you survived this long.

I have all the time...

to dance around with you.

You may take your time suffering.

But someone else is running out of time.

Qin Chuan is about to be here.

What?

I will show her some kindness on your behalf.

I will tell her the truth about you being ...

the wick of Spirit Lantern.

Does it hurt? Are you desperate?

I want you to carry these feelings...

as you perish into the void.

Then I can finally destroy the Spirit Lantern...

in this fiery pit of this volcano.

When that happens,

there will be nothing in this world...

to stop the demons' scourge!

Your Highness, after you.

Your Highness, just step into the portal.

-Your Highness! -Your Highness!

-Insolence! -Are you all right?

What's wrong with you?

It's a mistake, a moment.

Your Highness, it will work this time.

Overseer Zuo?

Qin Chuan?

What are you doing here?

My master's training hall is here.

I was meditating there.

I never expect to see you here.

-I am happy to see you. -What?

I was so bored while I am all alone here.

But I can have a friend to talk to now.

I have matters to attend to.

Carry on with your meditation.

Was my acting so bad?

Who are you?

I remember now.

You two weren't that close.

Someone is here. Hide.

-Hurry! -Hide.

We need to be cautious.

Overseer Zuo, the miasma is intense.

The place is dangerous.

We need to wait for our opening.

Baili...

Who are you?

Who would have thought?

The Master of Mount Xiangqu and the Crown Prince of Tian Yuan...

will fall by our hands today!

You two brothers...

are getting too greedy.

I cleared out the vermin for you.

It's time to come in here.

Dugu Duo Tian!

What was that voice?

It's the Royal Preceptor.

I made you a promise...

and I will hold onto it.

See?

No even a single scratch.

Perfectly preserved.

Now,

you can put your trust in me.

Address me for who I am.

I knew it a long time ago...

that my unrivalled power...

came from you.

And my mother died because of you.

It was a grudge from another generation.

I have no interest in that.

But if I recognize you as my father now,

it would only because...

you carried my body here...

without any harm done to it.

I chose to live humbly in Tian Yuan.

I abandoned the Demon Cave in Namman.

It was all because I was worried for your safety.

Is that true?

Father.

Son.

Come.

Once you've merged with your body,

the three realms...

will be ours to take!

Father!

Father!

Li Yuan.

I brought you into this world.

For the past few days,

I've been pestered by the Tethering Spike.

It's agonizing pain!

I need your help now.

Father, no!

Father!

I've combined with the energies.

I am no longer distracted...

with the controlling of another body.

I gave you the power you have.

It's time to return it!

You are awake.

The daughter of Emperor of Li.

You've made a pact with the Spirit Lantern.

Stay away from me.

Qin Chuan?

Is someone there?

-Xuan Zhu? -Help!

-Help! -Save Qin Chuan.

I'll rescue Xuan Zhu.

Cleanse the world of its demon plague?

Sacrificing your spiritual energy?

Such a touching story to be told.

Answer me.

Where is Fu Jiu Yun?

Have patience.

Come with me.

Jiu Yun!

Fu Jiu Yun is right here.

Jiu Yun!

How could you be so foolish?

What have you done to him?

What have I done?

I am waiting for him to be burned.

You know it better than I do.

Do you not know the way...

to ignite the Spirit Lantern?

To light it,

the wick must return to its place.

Fu Jiu Yun's true form is the wick of Spirit Lantern.

He was born in this volcano.

This is where he must return to.

If you light the Spirit Lantern,

he will return to his true form...

and burn to ashes.

You will both die.

Hasn't he told you that?
