"The Killing of Three Thousand Crows"

"Episode 9"

It rained suddenly.

Chuan, hurry up.

I won't care if you got sick because of the rain.

Let me ask you this. Are you involved with Qing Qing's death?

-It's raining. Let's talk inside. -I'm asking you!

Yes, I'm involved in it. Why?

Don't tell me you pushed the blame to Qing Qing because of me?

What do you think?

Why did you kill the innocent?

I don't know if she's innocent or not.

But you're not innocent.

Fu Jiu Yun.

Both of you have the same master.

How can you let her die just like that?

Silly girl.

She's already dead now.

Just forger her.

The Mountain Chief decides who dies next, not me.

You can't decide for him too.

I thought you were a sage?

You kill the innocent and you behave like a crook.

I was wrong about you!

If she didn't die,

and we didn't catch the spy,

you would've been dead.

It's raining.

You haven't arranged my bed yet!

Tomorrow, the Dragon King is coming. Our master instructed us to greet him.

I heard that the Dragon King is powerful.

Hide this pill within the Spirit Lantern.

By then, the poison will penetrate the old snake's body.

But,

the old snake is keeping a tight watch.

Don't worry. Master can deal with the old snake.

Master said as long as you can finish this task,

he will help you to reunite with your mother.

I won't disappoint him.

Hurry up. Move it here.

Where do I go?

Put it over there.

Be careful.

Hurry up.

Qin Chuan!

Everyone is at the Ningbi Temple! Why are you still asleep?

Wake up!

It hurts!

-Do you understand now? -It hurts!

-Still want to be loud? -No!

We have a rare occasion today.

Why are you sleeping?

Everyone is there, right?

I can rest now.

Is that wrong?

The Mountain Chief said we can greet the Dragon King too.

He's kind to us. We shouldn't let him down.

I'm not going.

My friend,

is this your so-called treasure?

It's been some years since we met.

Mount Xiangqu has no treasures now.

When we inspect treasures,

the treasures are the real deal.

And when we talk, we talk about the truth of the world.

My friend,

don't tell me you have some treasures that I haven't seen yet?

Take it out then.

Let my disciples see them too.

Jiu Yun is here. Come.

Come to the front.

Jiu Yun.

Come.

Greet the Dragon King.

I'm Fu Jiu Yun, a disciple of the Mountain Chief.

Greetings, Dragon King.

The vanquished Li,

once famous for its blacksmiths and artisans,

had a talent named Master Qi.

He's a saint in the painting world.

He infuses mystic arts into his paintings.

When you view his painting,

you will be absorbed into the painting itself.

My friend, how is it? This painting is pretty good, right?

I think,

even if you sell all your treasures,

you can't afford a fan like this.

My friend, why are you laughing?

I thought it was something special.

It's just one of Master Qi's fan paintings.

My friend, does that mean you have his paintings as well?

I do have some in my possession.

Coincidentally, I brought one with me.

I'm willing to share it with you.

Take out the painting.

This Master Qi, he came secretly again.

Jiu Yun,

your painting skills are superb.

You'll be the judge.

See if Master Qi is the one behind this painting as well.

Master, I'm ignorant.

This is my first time seeing his paintings.

But the same creator drew this painting.

Good.

Come, keep it away.

Wait.

Master Qi's paintings,

they're not just enchanting, they're fascinating as well.

Let me be the judge as well.

I thought it was someone else.

So, it's you. The killer who've slaughtered your master.

This painting is one of our treasures.

I'm here to accompany you, my lord.

Fine.

My lord, please don't touch this lute.

It's not yours.

You only need your eyes to enjoy the painting.

You don't need your hands.

Know your own place.

My friend, how is it?

Does this painting come from Master Qi's hands as well?

It does.

But my friend, here's some advice.

When you choose your disciple, you must choose one that's obedient...

and kind.

Jiu Yun,

did you interrupt him just now?

How dare you?

Lord Guan Ren is respected by everyone in the sage realm.

But he was harmed by a villain.

And he couldn't escape his ill fate.

You don't know your place.

Now, you're trying to be arrogant?

Leave.

I will take my leave.

Come, keep this painting away.

The wind is strong.

If you're unwell, you should rest in the pavilion.

Now, you're caring for me?

I thought you were sure that I harmed Qing Qing?

And I'm the villain?

I know it's not you.

It's not me?

Who is it then?

Little Liar,

I think you're sympathizing me because I look pitiful now.

Or are you trying to push me into the lake when I'm hurt?

You love to joke around, don't you?

I'm always serious.

I want to keep someone by my side.

And let her forget the burdens that she wasn't supposed to bear.

I want her to laugh with me.

It's fine even if she's pretending to be ignorant.

But she seems to think that I'm always joking around.

My lord, I don't understand what you mean.

I will find the Spirit Lantern,

even if you don't tell me the location.

Come, I have something for you.

Is it connected to the Spirit Lantern?

You will know later.

I thought you were bringing me to the Spirit Lantern?

Who told you so?

This painting is yours now.

Originally, it was your painting, right?

I'm in charge of the Temple of Artifacts.

That's why,

I can give you this.

Thank you.

But I feel like this painting is different now.

Is that so?

Maybe you remembered wrongly.

Chuan,

this is how you look like in the past.

My friend,

we must drink to our hearts' content today.

Sure!

I want to see your disciples' performance as well.

-Come. -Here.

Come.

Please have a seat.

-Please. -Please.

Okay.

Everyone, please sit down.

Yes.

The sages' mountain,

it's magnificent.

Everything is beautiful here.

Mountain Chief,

you did a good job leading them.

You flatter me.

My friend, you're too courteous.

But, I don't know if the reality...

is as calm as the surface I'm seeing here.

It's not hard to maintain an appearance.

But we will know it's strength...

when we put it to the test.

A good anvil does not fear the hammer.

My fortress won't crack because of a test.

My friend, it's been some years since we've met.

You became younger.

You're just as impulsive as ever.

Beware of that, you will incur losses because of it.

Mountain Chief,

you lived in the mountains for too long.

Why are you so serious? I'm just joking.

I'm joking too.

-Come. -Come.

Cheers.

Everyone, cheers.

Mountain Chief, you're lucky.

All your disciples are handsome and beautiful.

Their appearances are not worth mentioning.

But my friend, your disciples,

to me, they're outstanding.

Master, we can't hold a feast without a dance.

Mountain Chief, let us present a dance.

What are you waiting for?

Play the songs!

Yes.

So beautiful!

Good.

My friend,

judging by the looks of your disciples,

it seems that they're quite bored in the mountain.

To be honest, I'm not really good at dances and songs.

But some of my disciples,

they like to dance and sing too.

Is that so?

My friend, if you like it,

I can ask her to dance for you.

Sure!

Xuan Zhu.

Greetings, Master.

Greetings, Dragon King.

Rise now.

Yes.

She is my new disciple.

She was the princess of Li.

She's a royalty?

No wonder she has a different air.

Dragon King, you flatter me.

Xuan Zhu,

you know how to dance, right?

Today, my friend is here.

We must treat him with respect.

Just do your previous dance for them.

Yes.

This song is familiar.

So beautiful.

She's good at dancing.

Qin Chuan,

why are you unhappy?

I'm not.

This dance is so beautiful.

It's my first time seeing it.

It soothes the heart.

I understand now.

I know why you're unhappy.

Why?

You're unhappy because Lord Jiu Yun is not around.

Great!

Great!

Great!

My friend, it's just a random dance.

You're too courteous.

Please don't laugh at me.

You're too humble.

-You can go now. -Yes.

My friend,

I didn't expect you to be interested in dances.

What's wrong?

I have a stomachache.

A stomachache?

I'll leave first.

Don't mention that. It breaks my heart.

Come out.

Do you think I'm dumb?

Do you think I'm not suspicious of you at all?

You have grown since then.

It's between us and Mount Xiangqu. You shouldn't get involved.

I won't meddle with your affairs.

But I want the Spirit Lantern.

For what?

Our entire group is here for the operation.

You're alone. You're fighting against overwhelming odds.

Only the Spirit Lantern can subdue the demons in Tian Yuan.

I will acquire the Spirit Lantern no matter what.

So what if you can subdue them?

You can't bring back your dead parents.

Do you know that the demons in Tian Yuan are eating the people of Li?

I only know that I'm indebted to my master. I need to repay him.

Xuan Zhu,

is the Dragon King more important than the people of Li?

You're the princess of Li.

You're their leader.

I'm not as great as you.

Xuan Zhu.

Why are you so stubborn?

Just think of me as stubborn then.

Listen to me.

Go and send Zi Chen away right now.

He has nothing to do with this conflict.

I'll send him away after I finish my mission.

Your mission?

You don't know what you're in for.

When we take over Mount Xiangqu,

with your power,

the Dragon King will feast on you.

What do you mean?

Zi Chen has nothing to do with this.

I don't want him to get involved.

Don't you want to atone for your sin?

Did you forget how you hurt Zi Chen?

Move aside.

If not, I'll have no mercy on you.

-Xuan Zhu! -Lady Xuan Zhu, you're something.

You frame people for your sin, you used hidden weapons,

and now, you reap what you sow.

It's you?

-You're not dead? -Qing Qing?

My princess,

how does it feel when you hurt yourself?

Impossible. It's not you.

You're not strong enough to deflect my hidden weapon.

Of course it's not me.

You two...

You two...

Silly girl.

The Mountain Chief and Lord Jiu Yun plotted this.

They knew that you were a spy.

Okay.

Now, the truth has been revealed.

Chuan, you need to leave now.

The exit is there.

You can't take the Spirit Lantern away.

It's an important artifact that my master is guarding.

I won't let you take it away.

The Mountain Chief is a sage that lusts for demon power.

Why are you guarding the lantern for him?

Qing Qing, send her down.

-Fu Jiu Yun! -Qin Chuan, save Zi Chen.

I beg you.

Promise me.

Don't hurt her.

Fine.

Since you've said that, I won't hurt her.

Go now.

Leave. And never come back.

Qing Qing.

The Dragon King is here to take over the mountain.

You don't need to care.

Just know that...

when everything has settled down,

Jiu Yun will come for you.

My friend, looks like you're not letting me off today.

What are you saying?

The spar of sages is rare in the sage realm.

We must spar to our hearts' content, am I right?

Find Fu Jiu Yun's artifacts!

To prevent further troubles!

Uninvited guests,

please don't blame me for being rude.

Master Zuo.

Chuan?

Why are you here?

Lady Xuan Zhu asked me to send you down the mountain.

But why?

The Mountain Chief is going to fight the Dragon King.

The mountain will be in turmoil.

It's an emergency. We mustn't waste any time.

-What about Xuan Zhu? -Don't worry, she's safe.

Really?

Yes.

She will wait for you.

Always.

Why is he unaffected?

My friend,

if you admit defeat,

I'll bring you to the Jade Garden and train you there.

What do you think?

I think this is far enough.

Where's Xuan Zhu?

Paper Magic Arts?

Kitty.

Master, this white tiger will take you away.

-Please leave now. -What's going on?

I'm just following Lady Xuan Zhu's order.

Master, please leave now.

Qin Chuan,

let's leave together.

Master, just forget about me.

I have unfinished business in the mountain.

Master, please meet up with Lady Xuan Zhu.

Don't let her wait.

Kitty, go now!

Listen to me.

If you stop now,

you may live.

Do you know this?

Jiu Yun...

can wipe out all your disciples within two hours.

If you surrender now,

I can let you bring back some of them.

What do you think?

Do you think I will wager everything...

on that little princess?

This Shadow Dragon Pill can help you.

After you've killed the Mountain Chief and Fu Jiu Yun,

you will take Mount Xiangqu.

And I will take the Spirit Lantern.

And you don't have to live in this cold, desolate place anymore.
