[ Love and Destiny ]

[ Episode 25 ]

When did you come in?

Men! Come--

No need to be anxious.

I came to tell you,

a child and their parent have fate together, and it is difficult for this fate to be completely perfect.

Rather than obtaining bad karma from developing hatred to the point of doing murderous deeds,

why not just go with the flow and accumulate good karma? Am I right?

Good, very good.

Come, let's wipe your mouth. Here.

Are you full?

Wife, let's come up with a name for our child.

What name do you think would be good?

I'll listen to what Husband wants.

Then... then let's call her, A'Mo? (T/N her name is "Lin Mo", this is the familiar form)

I'm calling you!

Oh look, she has agreed to it!

A'Mo, A'Mo!

The black lotus didn't close.

That girl still lives!

The two of you must capture and bring her back!

Yes!

The Demon Lord and I... both need her.

Come.

How is A'Mo doing?

Old Madam...

Old Madam, don't be upset.

Before, didn't you always want to have a child?

No matter what, as long as you have a next generation, we should be happy!

That's right, Mother.

Plus, there is nothing else wrong about Mo'er.

She is already deaf!

- Mother! - Mother!

What other problems do you want her to have?

Mother, please restrain your anger.

Our family is unlucky!

Our family is unlucky!

Shao Hai.

Mother.

I think that

it is time you get a second wife.

Doctor Qingyao, you are here.

Senior Deity.

Senior Deity, did you know that Lingxi is deaf in the mortal world?

Deaf?

This...

I am not too sure about this either.

How could we be so unlucky, that's more than enough for any child!

Then doesn't that mean this life of hers will be extremely difficult?

Senior Deity! Where do you want to go?

I'm going to the mortal realm.

Senior Deity, you cannot do this.

Have you forgotten my words?

You cannot interfere with mortals and their fates.

Or else, it will be disadvantageous for her and you naturally will experience a counter-effect.

I know my limits.

Investigate the reason behind this. See if it's really part of her fated trials,

or is someone forcefully interfering. Report back to me immediately.

Yes, Senior Deity.

Senior Brother, wait for me. I'm coming too!

Stop right there! Why are you going?

I'm going to help.

It's already sufficient if you do not cause trouble!

I couldn't even do anything about that congenital hearing disorder, what can you do then?

Doctor Qingyao, are you looking down on me?

At the very least, I am a high god! Not only is my magic powerful,

I am also a bit knowledgeable about medical skills.

Am I right, Siming?

Of course.

Alright, the I hope your medical skills are better than mine.

I found her.

[ Only Good Morals are Fragrant ]

Their sesame flatbread is so good!

Father, I love eating it.

I still want to eat.

Immortals don't need to eat.

That's not true.

Those in our Peach Forest all eat.

My father would then frequently bring me soy pancakes

and spicy tripe.

Come, come. Flatbread.

- Come take a look. - Come take a look. Flatbreads.

Tasty and inexpensive sesame flatbread!

Flatbread. Flatbread!

Boss, give me a flatbread.

Alright.

It's very fresh!

Fresh vegetables!

Over there!

- Why aren't you going? - Grandma, that was an immortal!

Immortal!

Benefactor, how come we can't feel Xunyan anymore?

Someone must have done some magic and cut off the traces.

Someone?

Benefactor, what should we do next?

So it was you. No wonder she didn't die.

You also didn't die. Such luck.

In the end, that woman is still the sacrifice for the Demon Lord.

It's a pity you won't be able to witness that day.

Stop fighting! Stop fighting!

Senior Deity.

Senior Deity, stop fighting. Stop fighting!

Why are you stopping me from exterminating demons?

You're here to capture devils?

Look!

I thought you were here to capture me.

Look. Look!

Look at what devastation you've done to my Wushan (Witch Mountain)!

It is indeed my mistake.

Mistake? You put it off so lightly.

I was just sitting there drinking my tea.

Say, isn't this exactly calamity coming from the heavens?

My cave got destroyed!

My leg is also injured. You tell me, what should I do?

It looks like I'll have to go to Senior Deity's Polar Abyss to recuperate.

Will that do?

Please go ahead.

Don't leave. Don't leave!

You just wait! I'll definitely go to the Heavenly Palace for an explanation!

Xiao Yan, let's go.

Peace, happiness.

Heavenly Emperor, it's not that I want to complain about the God of War!

It's just that his actions were too excessive!

Alright, alright, Daoist Immortal Peng. Don't be so angry anymore.

Think about it. You were in your cave resting and drinking tea,

while he was up there eliminating the monsters and demons.

Although it was a small mistake, his intentions were good.

Small mistake?

Heavenly Emperor, m-my cave is destroyed and my leg is crippled but he...

he didn't even give me an explanation!

Heavenly Emperor, you rule over the Six Realms with your benevolence.

Any deity should do things with appropriate limits.

Other deities also usually go out to eliminate monsters and demons,

but I've never seen anyone destroying some other person's cave!

Exactly!

God of War went out to eliminate demons and flattened Witch Mountain!

I also just got used to this mountain deity position.

Now that the mountain is gone, what mountain deity can I still be?

I earnestly ask Heavenly Emperor to allow me to

return here!

Informing Heavenly Emperor, I think we should let God of War lead his men

and repair the cave of Daoist Immortal Peng.

Alright.

I will go with you to Fuyun Hall

and seek justice on your behalf.

How is that?

Thank you, Heavenly Emperor.

Greetings, Heavenly Emperor.

Good. You may all rise.

Thank you, Heavenly Emperor.

Jiuchen, today I received

a complaint about you.

I am embrarrassed.

I happened to chance upon two Demon Tribe remnants and wanted to subdue them.

Carelessly, I destroyed Witch Mountain.

Who were those Demon Tribe remnants?

Were they captured?

There was some obstacles, and they got away.

I have instructed Yunfeng to take Kaiyang and Hanzhang with him in capturing them.

Okay. That's a priority.

If you need help, you can ask the God of Heavenly Thunder for assistance.

God of Heavenly Thunder.

Yes, Heavenly Emperor.

Jiuchen, Daoist Immortal Peng was injured because of you.

You need to prepare a grand gift to apologize to Daoist Immortal Peng.

Yes.

Heavenly Emperior is benevolent!

Zhenjun,

why didn't you use today's matter as an opportunity to complain about God of War?

Lodge a complaint? Just with that old man?

One Daoist Immortal Peng can topple Jiuchen?

Even if he couldn't, annoying him would do.

Stupid!

But I do think this situation is a bit strange.

Jiuchen is usually very sensible when doing things.

But he destroyed Daoist Immortal Peng's cave

and Witch Mountain?

Maybe he wasn't able to control his power at that time.

Do you think Jiuchen is as stupid as you?

But I still find a few oddities.

This Jiuchen keeps saying that there's still cold air inside his body. (T/N the lingering cold illness, TCM)

Perhaps it's not cured yet?

[ Fuyun Hall ]

Senior Brother.

You came back so quickly.

It's all settled.

The members of the Demon Tribe are too crafty, they move stealthily.

Although we've completely surrounded Dark Capital Mountain,

there's still no result yet.

Zhonghao isn't dead. He will stop at nothing.

He has a huge grudge against the Shanling Tribe.

That State Master Lingyue was gravely injured at Purple Cloud Platform.

Don't let him find a chance to take advantage.

Don't worry, Senior Brother. That State Preceptor Jingxiu is there.

I'm sure that Zhonghao will never have things easy.

Those demons are like rats.

After one batch comes and gets killed, another will follow. It's never-ending!

But compared to this, I'm more concerned about something else.

I've been to Witch Mountain.

You divided it into half with one sword-stroke. It's not excessive to say that it got flattened.

A moment of losing control.

Really?

We've known each other for so many years, I've never seen you

make a mistake of being unable to control your power?

What? Now that you don't have this Nuwa Stone Heart,

you can't even control your own magic?

What about your life? How much longer can you wait?

Can you wait until Ling Xi returns after her trials

and exchange the Farmer God's Cauldron with the Nuwa Stone Heart?

I'm fine. You don't need to worry.

I can't stop you from saving her.

But if there is a day when you can't hold on anymore,

I will definitely take away Farmer God’s Cauldron and you won't be able to stop me.

Yuantong!

Senior Deity.

I didn't think Senior Deity would really be willing to come see me.

Senior Deity, Qingyao is adept at using poison.

I got bewitched by her, that's why I got confused and made such a grave mistake!

Senor Deity, save me!

Ling Xi harbors demonic aura.

I was following orders!

Why must I get locked up in here?

You had Duyu take your brother's Heart-Assembling Nail to bring me here

just to say that?

In your mind, I am that stupid?

For the peace of the Six Realms, Yuanzheng

had been killing for half his life. It's exactly because of this that demonic aura entered his body,

sending his future and himself to death.

He is not the same as you.

He was unaware that demons were already bewitching him.

But your demon was born from the bottom of your heart.

I've already given you many chances, but you were greedy and unwilling to change.

The Yuan Family was not ruined by Yuanzheng's hands.

The Yuan Family has been ruined by your hands.

Don't come looking for me again.

I don't want to see you!

Just because of this?

Just because I killed Heavenly Soldiers and broke Heavenly Laws?

No.

It's all because of her.

Because I revealed her identity,

because I killed her father and made her sad!

It's all because of her!

But I just don't understand?

Senior Deity, you're an immortal.

You are the unrivaled God of War of the Nine Heavens!

How could you let such a lowly person

tarnish your status?

She was just an ordinary minor immortal from the lower realm, and even harbored demonic aura!

Senior Deity, how could you?

You are high and lofty.

You're unwilling to even look at me.

But you would never treat her this way.

Even if she's not here, it still won't be you.

Greetings, Senior Deity.

Yuantong.

Criminal Immortal Yuantong, listen to the decree.

I am relaying the verbal decree of Heavenly Emperor. Criminal Immortal Yuantong, you are spared from death

but must endure the punishment. You are being punished

to guard the Demon Tower. You are not to leave without a decree!

Heavenly Emperor is benevolent to spare your life.

With the endless days at Demon Tower, take your time to reflect on your actions.

Don't. Don't come closer! Don't come closer!

Get away! Don't. Don't come closer!

Let me out!

Let me out! Don't come closer!

Get away!

Get away! Don't come closer!

Don't come closer!

Tell me. Do you concede

or not?

Get away!

Your father colluded with the Demon Tribe,

brought disaster to the Six Realms, and attempted to rebel.

You saw it and heard it yourself.

Right?

- Youchang, do you admit to your crime? - What has he done that you must capture him?

I don't know what crime I committed that even my clansmen have to be implicated?

You don't know?

You say it.

Do you know what crime your father committed?

Kill.

- Don't! - Don't!

You're killing innocent people!

Say it.

No!

Don't!

You!

Don't!

Stop killing!

Don't...

Stop killing.

Jingxiu.

Say it.

In front of the people of your tribe, tell everyone.

What crime did your father commit?

Say it!

Jingxiu, did you write this?

No one forced you to, right?

It's clearly written here that your father

colluded with the Demon Tribe, brought disaster to the Six Realms,

and attempted to rebel! That you personally saw and heard it!

Is it correct?

You won't have a good death!

- Traitor! - You traitor!

- You traitor! - You sold out your tribe!

You won't have a good death! You traitor!

Youchang, your crime is unpardonable.

Execute him!

Don't! Don't!

Princess, you can't go in. State Master wasn't feeling well, and is already resting.

Let me go in!

Princess, you are going to wake State Master up like this.

Move aside!

Princess!

Mother!

What did Brother Jingxiu do wrong that you have to treat him this way?

Mother, I heard them say you locked up Brother Jingxiu.

This isn't true, right? It must be a rumor in the palace, right?

What you heard is correct.

He has already been imprisoned by me.

Why?

Have you become muddled?

Brother Jingxiu has done so many things for you over the past many years!

Which villain's slanderous lies did you believe in?

Mother, I'm begging you. Let him go, okay? Let Brother Jingxiu go!

He has done so many things for you these many years. You know that!

If you still want to be my daughter, then be quiet.

Get out.

Mother.

Get out!

State Preceptor, are you okay?

I'm already like this,

what's not okay?

I'm a bit worried about you.

Worried?

Are you worried that I will not be able to get up after a fall, or worried that...

I will revolt?

Will you?

State Master read to me my eight major crimes. After hearing it, even I feel...

that I deserve to die.

Ever since the Battle of Gods and Demons,

Yuandu didn't help any sides and gained advantages from both sides.

Afterward, the Demon Lord suffered great defeat and the Heavenly Race became stronger.

From that moment,

Lingyue took over the Shanling Tribe.

Within the Six Realms, our Shanling Tribe has always been enduring humiliation and had a hard time surviving.

When a human loses hope,

he will risk everything.

Today, other than the Heavenly Race,

which power dares to look down on our tribe?

You think

that all that was obtained by our State Master from caring for flowers and making poems?

Step by step, I helped her conquer this land.

Let the citizens of Shanling Tribe live in happiness and peace.

I did not fail her.

You indeed did not fail her,

because you've never thought she was worthy.

She is the State Master. Most of the time, you forgot about that.

You thought that she would get buried into her broken heart and be unable to extricate herself?

You watched her give you all the state affairs

and then you forgot her status.

She is the State Master, of high god status.

She is the last of the bloodline of the Royal Phoenix Clan.

From the day that heaven and earth opened up,

their tribesmen have been the masters of the Shanling Territory.

Jingxiu, you forgot about that.

Jingxiu, you're too arrogant.

Looks like State Master reprimanding you is not entirely baseless.

I have long urged you

to strictly remember the teachings of your ancestors, and not get confused by your heart's demon.

Do not harm others, and thus harm yourself.

"Heart's demon"?

Yes, I do have selfish motives.

I want to seek justice for my father, my older brother, my tribesmen!

She lied to me first! She didn't kill Yuandu!

She deceived me for so long.

Until today, I never resisted even when I was put in prison.

What else do you want me to do?

I have never wronged Lingyue.

Even more so, I have never wronged the citizens of Shanling Tribe!

Thank you for visiting me.

This is a place of trouble.

Don't come here in the future.

I will find a chance to put in a good word for you.

Wait.

Since we were master-subordinate once, there's one more thing I want to give you instructions about.

What is it?

Although Lingyue is of high god status and bears noble bloodline,

she has never governed for a long time.

I know that she has removed all my people.

But now, the tribe and the military need time to reorganize.

I don't know if she has the ability to govern, but the enemies won't wait for us.

Zhonghao is still a fugitive. He has inherited the skills of the Demon Lord.

Hanshan Tribe surely are not his only subordinates.

He still has innumerable Demon Tribe remnants!

Once he takes advantage of our situation and rises again, can you all block him?

If that's the case, then it's our Shanling Tribe's fate to perish.

Fate?

The enemies haven't arrived

yet you all have accepted your fate?

Handing the Shanling Tribe to people like you

is what my greatest crime is.

Wu, tell Lingyue.

The priority now is to organize the miltiary.

Once Zhonghao starts a war and the situation goes out of hand,

then request assistance from the Heavenly Tribe.
