[ Love and Destiny ]

[ Episode 16 ]

Senior Deity, are we going back to Fuyun Hall?

No. You haven't gone back to Peach Forest for a long time. It's time to go home.

I don't miss my home! I miss Shisan

and Huayan. I'm not going back to Peach Forest.

Father.

You still know how to come back?

Why don't you fold clothes and blankets in Fuyun Hall until you die whlie sitting?

See how I'll take care of you! Get lost! Move aside!

Did you two come to my Peach Forest to act atrociously?

Medical Immortal, you are worrying too much. Ling Xi said she misses her home, so she especially came home.

Don't try making me drink some confusing soup.

She's my daughter. Would I not know what she's thinking?

- Come over here! Come over here! - Father!

This is a wine that is made here in our Peach Forest. How do you find the taste?

Not bad.

If you like it, take some with you when you go back later.

You have always been generous.

There are a lot of things in this world that I don't give a damn about.

Except for my daughter, for she's a debt I once owed.

You have so many days in the future to pay your debts.

I already know about Ling Xi's true identity.

What do you mean? I don't seem to understand?

Ling Xi's not your real daughter.

Fifty thousand years ago, you picked her up outside Dark Capital Mountain.

During the battle at Dark Capital Mountain, someone abandoned her outside the battlefield.

Before the Demon Lord was sealed, he tried to use her body

to hide his life's primordial spirit. I was able to save her life,

and repelled the Demon Lord.

But the Demon Lord, having failed to get a new host,

injected his last remaining demonic powers into her body.

Hence, Ling Xi has had immortal and demonic power since she was little.

She also has the ability to wake up the Demon Lord and I.

You knew about this matter long ago, hence, you deliberately got drunk to commit a mistake,

flee the Heavenly Palace, and come here to Peach Forest to be secluded from the world.

So what?

If Heavenly Palace finds out about this, Ling Xi's life will be in danger.

What do you want to happen, God of War?

Let her stay in Peach Forest like she did for fifty thousand years.

Can it still be like before?

I fear that the peace and quiet of Peach Forest is already gone.

One day avoided, is one day more for her.

I will protect her.

Thank you, God of War.

That time, I went to Dark Capital Mountain to search for my Junior Brother.

But the first person I saw was that child!

I also saw you at the time.

But your immortal soul had already shattered. You were completely dead,

so I left you there first and saved—

It's fine. Just save her.

What are you doing?

What do you think my father and Senior Deity are doing?

Who knows? Reminiscing? Fighting? Anyway, they didn't want you there.

Fighting, fighting. You only know about fighting! You think they are you?

Senior Deity would never fight with Father.

He dares?

If he dares to touch Teacher, he must pass through me first!

Silly Bird, be honest with me. Did you incite some trouble

and got expelled out of Fuyun Hall?

Let me tell you, that Senior Deity puts so much importance on me. He totally can't bear not to see me for a day!

He wouldn't even agree to let me visit home this time. I had to beg him several times,

before he decided to personally accompany me back here.

Is that true?

Senior Deity.

Come with me.

Peach Forest is serene. It suits you.

I don't like serenity. I love Fuyun Hall.

Try to be a worthy person.

Focus on cultivating. Be careful with your words and actions.

Don't let your father worry.

Senior Deity, when I go back with you, I surely will work hard to cultivate.

I will even obediently stay by your side.

That way, my father won't worry anymore.

Can you use it now?

What?

Heavenly Lasting Mythical Sand.

You're talking about this?

I think this is the most uselss magical item in this world.

Other than appearing and disappearing, it doesn't seem to have other use.

I'm not really going to the mortal world to do magic tricks.

It's not the magical item that's useless, it's you who do not know to use it.

Rather than depending on it, it's more practical to just depend on you.

I'll teach you.

Really?

Gather your qi in your dantian. (T/N the three energy flow centers, head, chest, and belly)

Grow roots from the soles of your feet. (T/N "ground yourself" by connecting your energy to the earth below you)

Gather your spirit and energy.

Out!

S-Senior Deity, I did not mean to do that.

It's fine. It has already acknowledged you as its master.

One more time.

Use your mind to guide your qi.

Use the qi to push your energy.

It will turn into whatever you are thinking of.

Out!

Retract!

If what you think of is a sword, then it will become a sword.

Think of a sword?

Senior Deity, look!

Remember, thought is everything.

You must be more diligent in training. Remove any distractions from your mind.

Then, when I'm not around,

you can protect yourself already.

Senior Deity, are you leaving?

Are you... leaving me behind?

Senior Deity, why are you not by my side?

Are you annoyed at me already?

But I like you. Really, really like you.

Not the affection that children have for their elders.

It's the like between a man and a woman.

Senior Deity, I want to be with you.

Senior Deity, you like me, right?

At the very least, you like me a little bit, right?

Right, Senior Deity?

Otherwise at the main palace hall, why did you defend me

and even allow me to stay in Fuyun Hall?

Senior Deity, what's wrong with me?

Did I offend you in any way?

Why must you leave me inside that icy cold room?

And now, you want to throw me back to Peach Forest.

I don't like you. You are too young and your superpower is too weak.

You are not compatible with me.

Stay here in the Peach Forest from now on, and don't come to Heavenly Palace again.

♫ Following you makes exhaustion disappear, following as you float like ashes in a song ♫

Senior Deity, you didn't mean those words, right?

♫ You view my sentimental foolishness with the moon's quiet tranquility despite the saltwater intrusions, (T/N tears) ♫

♫ still dazzling ♫

♫ A dreamlike couple from the start, you're beside me ever since then ♫

♫ Like moonlight sprinkled over the endless ocean ♫

♫ Your honesty entered my heart, and relieved my mind of the crashing waves ♫

♫ Your honesty entered my heart, and relieved my mind of the crashing waves ♫

You... What's wrong?

Did Jiuchen bully you?

- I'll go make him pay. - Chengyan! Come over here!

My good daughter, what is it?

Senior Deity has left.

So he has left. He left! What's there to cry about?

He said he doesn't like me. He doesn't want me anymore.

If he doesn't want you, I want you.

With you being so good, whoever doesn't want you is blind!

If Jiuchen doesn't like you, then he's blind even if his eyes are wide open!

We don't like him either!

But Father, I like him.

Okay. Okay. Like. Like.

But he doesn't like me.

Why are you here and not sleeping at this late hour?

Blowing on the cow so much that it ran away? (T/N Bragging excessively)

And you even said that he especially accompanied you to visit your relatives. You can really make up things.

I'm in a very bad mood right now. You'd better not provoke me.

Or else, I will tell Senior Sister the reason why those pills of her strangely got damaged?

You..!

Who'd be willing to care about you? I'm going now!

Silly Bird.

There are some things that we really can't force.

It's no use, even if you love him in a one-sided manner.

Even mortals now don't agree with forced marriage.

The more so, for a God of War like he is?

Okay. Even if he doesn't care about background compatibilty,

the difference can't be that huge, right?

Look at that fellow...Jiuchen.

He has lived for tens of thousands of years.

He's the strongest God of War within

the Nine Heavens and Six Realms.

You? An earth immortal who has cultivated for tens of thousands of years.

Maybe in a few more tens of thousands of years, he will have cultivated fully

and live a life as long as the heaven and earth.

You probably have died sitting by then. You think you are compatible?

What do you mean?

What I mean is you two are not compatible.

Try to be a worthy person. Focus on cultivating. Be careful with your words and actions.

You are too young and your superpower is too weak. You are not compatible with me.

Stay here in Peach Forest from now on and don't come to Heavenly Palace again.

Could it be just because of that?

[ Manor of the Lord of Heavenly Medicine ]

High God Yunfeng. Are you here to look for Doctor Qingyao again?

High God Yunfeng.

Doctor Qingyao!

Doctor Qingyao. Doctor Qingyao has a benevolent heart and practices your skills benevolently.

I am really impressed.

Doctor Qingyao!

Doctor Qingyao!

Doctor Qingyao!

Doctor Qingyao, I especially came here to apologize.

Qingyao, I tried recalling it.

That thing fifty thousand years ago was indeed my mistake.

I... did not expect that person to be your loved one!

Of course no matter who died, no matter how many died, it was indeed my fault!

Qingyao, I'm sincere in repenting for my mistakes. Please give me a chance?

Qingyao, he's already dead! What do you want me to do?

No one is making you do anything.

High God Yunfeng, since you already know,

as an acquaintance of the dead, I don't want to see you again.

Please stay away from me.

Is it because Senior Deity is not around so it won't work?

When did you show up?

- Since you started dancing. - What dancing? I'm practicing my magic.

You don't know anything. Quickly leave, go on! Don't disturb my practice!

If not because Teacher instructed me to follow you, do you think I like seeing you, Silly Bird?

I don't believe I won't be able to learn it by myself.

Show me then.

I...

Go away. Let me tell you,

a blade has no eyes. I can't guarantee that I won't hurt you.

I'm leaving then!

Don't come near me!

Hurry up, move it! Hurry!

Hurry!

Move! Quickly! Move it!

Go quickly!

Stop dilly-dallying.

- Sit down! - All of you, sit down!

Sit!

Savior, all the fifty-thousand-year-old female immortals we caught are all here.

- If you continue moving, do you believe I'll hack you to death? - No! Don't!

Behave yourselves!

No...!

No! No!

Let go of me! Let go!

How come these are still not the one?

Not one is the right one.

Continue searching.

Yes.

There have been female immortals going missing among the Heavenly Race lately.

It's striking fear in everyone.

Do the two of you have any suggestions?

Replying to Heavenly Emperor,

I noticed it some days ago and sent Kaiyang to investigate it.

That is good then.

Senior Brother, you are really good at foretelling things. You're always a step before everyone.

What did I tell you before?

I told you to get rid of distracting thoughts,

deal with this matter with strictness and meticulousness,

strictly monitor any activities at Dark Capital Mountain.

You threw all my words to the back of your mind!

I listened to your words. I've informed the Shanling Tribe.

And then?

You clearly knew that there's a conflict between the master and subject in Shanling Tribe.

All the state affairs are being managed by that State Preceptor,

and it's still unknown if that person is good or evil?

You just went to inform them and that's it?

I...

How old are you? How come you still don't know to weigh what's important?

You are right to lecture me. I was careless.

That Doctor Qingyao looks benevolent.

She frequently goes to the mortal world

to practice medicine and treat people. She has compassion for the people of this world.

While you are very lazy and negligent.

I think even she is looking down on you.

Senior Deity. High God.

Have you investigated clearly what's going on behind the missing female immortals?

I am incompetent. I still couldn't confirm who's the one behind this.

But I discovered something.

There's one similarity among the captured female immortals.

What similarity?

All of them are exactly fifty thousand years old.

What do you mean?

Senior Deity, do you want me to continue investigating?

No need!

Inform all the generals of the Heavenly Palace War Division to lead their men

and enforce strict surveillance in their areas.

They must not let these incidents to happen again.

Also, send more men

to surround every strategic point of Dark Capital Mountain.

Yes.

He just woke up and is already misbehaving like this.

Senior Brother, is it really the Demon Tribe?

Do you need me to do anything?

Your staying here is already a big help to me.

[ Fuyun Hall ]

Senior Brother, admiring the moon?

The moon is really great tonight!

Okay, Senior Brother. I'm here to admit my mistakes.

I really have realized my mistakes.

I was indeed negligent before.

I didn't expect their actions to be this fast.

A little Zhonghao like that could actually incite such a huge wave!

From now on, I will follow Kaiyang and Hanzhang, and listen to their orders.

I'll go wherever they tell me to go.

I will do whatever they tell me to do. No objections!

Senior Brother, I really have realized my mistake.

I also am very pitiful. These past days,

I keep being disliked by someone. I...

Yunfeng, you are already a high god.

You are one of the main gods in the Heavenly Palace.

In terms of fighting skills, there are only a few within the Six Realms who can surpass you.

Having such a talent like that, having the guidance and attention given to you by our Teacher,

you should bear the similar level of responsibility.

For example this time, if you have listened to me,

those female immortals might have been spared from trouble.

I know that since little, you are very laid back,

love to play, energetic, and dislike being restrained.

It's only during those years that I got in trouble at Dark Capital Mountain

that you improved a little.

You progressed into the high god position.

But since you are in this position now, you should bear the corresponding responsibility.

We were born as gods,

and were even taken in as disciples by Teacher.

If you don't treasure this kind of fate,

you then are not worthy to live here in the Nine Heavens

and receive the incense lit by people in this world.

I have realized my mistakes, Senior Brother.

I also didn't think things would become like this.

These past years, the affairs of the Heavenly Palace's War Division

were all handled by that old man, God of Heavenly Thunder.

I was never needed.

I also got used to idling around.

But don't worry, I won't be like that anymore.

It's good that you realized your mistakes.

I also know that a person's temperament

will not change overnight.

But you must look right at your mistakes.

Do not be satisfied by just muddling through, treating it as child's play.

There's no one more noble or more lowly among all living creatures within the Six Realms.

You were born a god,

so you should understand this point.

Yes, Senior Brother.

Senior Brother, when you were not around these past days,

even the colorful clouds up here in Nine Heavens became less pretty.

You don't know that in the past fifty thousand years,

I didn't dare to even get drunk.

I was so afraid that if I did that like in the past,

no one would be covering my ass.

Senior Brother, I just feel that you are too tired.

You've been tired since we were little.

That's why I didn't want to live like you.

Say, even as immortals,

we can't live happily and according to our desires.

Then those mortals seeking immortality and asking about the right path until they die

will have become more senseless?

No matter if it's being a mortal or an immortal,

you mustn't just seek for happiness and pleasantries.

Seeking for peace in one's heart is enough.

Happiness should still be sought.

Or else, it would be too boring.

Look, Ling Xi is a good example.

Since she came here, you have become more flexible.

Why didn't I see her today?

She went to the realm below.

She must have visited her father.

Since you let her go, it means there's nothing wrong with her.

That's good.

Once she's done with her visit, I'll go fetch her back.

A little Dan Bird like that one, who hasn't achieved any merit or been given any official post,

what great morals or ability does she have that a high god like you will be the one to fetch her?

Although she's a little Dan Bird, she's able to make you lough, and that's her greatest merit!

She can choose among any treasures in the Four Seas and I'll get them for her.

Also, as a high god,

I also don't have any serious affairs to do.

When I go to Peach Forest, I can even ask Le Bo for two jars of wines to drink.

Who said you don't have official tasks to do?

Were my words earlier for naught?

S-Senior Brother, didn't you already make a plan?

Once you do things, they surely would get taken care of quickly.

After that, I have nothing to do again.

Senior Brother, we grew up together.

If you have any problems, you can tell me.

Who grew up with you?

It was I who raised you.

More or less...

Look, when we were little, you would keep leading me up that mountain peak.

- Did I? - You did!

Senior Deity!

Kaiyang, take them to check around and guard every exit.

If there are strange activities, you must not act rashly.

Yes! Let's go.

Senior Brother, I'll go check the other areas too.

Go now. It's enough to have me here.

Yes.

Wuwan, wait for me here.

Go there!

Are you both alright?

Withdraw!

Thank you for your help, Immortal Master.

May I ask from what clan here in Peach Forest are you from?

I surely will visit you next time to thank you.

I'm an immortal envoy serving under Queen Mother of Kunlun Mountain.

I just happened to pass by this place, so it's pure coincidence that I was able to save you all.

No need to visit me.

Don't know if those demons are still nearby.

You all should quickly leave.

Then, thank you, Immortal Master. You also should be careful.

- Let's quickly go. - Let's go.

Be careful.

Looks like those demons have fled.

I mustn't be late for Queen Mother's banquet.

Bai Ze?

Wuwan!

Wuwan!

Wuwan!

Did you see a little white dog?

It's about this big. It's my pet.

White-bearded man? He took him away?

Could it be that high immortal earlier?

Where did he come from again?

Kunlun Mountain...Kunlun Mountain!

Let's go.

Hurry up.

Hurry up!

Let's go.

Is someone here to save us?

Thank you, High God, for saving us.

Where are you from?

- I'm from Green Hill. - I'm from Heavenly Palace.

We are from Peach Forest.

Go back now.

Thank you, High God.

Let's go now.

Who is so bold as to trespass in my Peach Forest?

Don't block my path.

Le Bo, why are you here?

Since this evildoer trespassed into my Peach Forest,

I didn't want to fight with him in the Peach Forest and deliberately lured him here instead.

You are here. Lingxi is alone in the Peach Forest now.

They are capturing fifty-thousand-year-old fairies now!

Okay, thanks. I'm going back to Peach Forest now.

Lord, we can't capture any fairies.

Fuyun Hall is taking actions now.

Jiuchen personally came down to the mortal realm. I...

Foster Father, the trail leading to the Water Moon Cauldron has been severed.

I dare guarantee that it was stolen by the people from Fuyun Hall

but no matter what, Jiuchen refused to admit it.

I didn't have a choice.

Jiuchen!

I was ineffective. Please punish me.

As long as I repair my Demon Blade,

and it's exactly like Jiuchen's,

I won't be afraid of him either!

But Water Moon Cauldron...

Repairing the Demon Blade doesn't only depend on Water Moon Cauldron.

The Demon Blade...was manufactured from the backbone of the Demon Lord's mount.

Without Water Moon Cauldron, there's still Heaven-Devouring Beast.

But where can we find Heaven-Devouring Beast?

I know.

Senior Deity.

Are that any abnormal movements at Dark Capital Mountain?

I found that there is a demonic essence floating its way toward the northwest direction.

Senior Deity, the Demon Lord rode on the Heaven-Devouring Beast.

Today it is undergoing a transformation in a life-refining pond,

soon after which its flesh and blood can be totally dispersed.

The Queen Mother of the West specially invited various persons up to share in the grand occasion.

- After you. - High Immortal.

So many people here.

I should try from the back side of the mountain.

There's indeed no one here.

There's a scent of a beast.

Could it be Wuwan?

Lingyue.

As a ruler, you are very busy.

Time flashes by in an instant, with several centuries passing between letters.

Yes, many hundred years have passed by in a flash.

It is my fault.

I will visit Kunlun more often in the future to chat with the Queen Mother.

Informing the Queen Mother, the God of War is here.

God of War?

Invite him in immediately.

Yes.

It's you.
