(Episode 73)

Hwang Ga Heun is...

Ko Eun Jo, whom you killed five years ago, isn't she?

What nonsense is that?

What do you mean, she's Eun Jo?

(Hwang Ga Heun is Ko Eun Jo!)

I'm right! Ko Eun Jo!

Why are you talking about Eun Jo?

Why are you two talking about Eun Jo?

Darn it. You're incessant.

Why were you talking about Eun Jo with Ha Ra?

The thing is...

So, the reason we were talking about Eun Jo was...

Stop right there!

(Reform)

Where are you going? We need to talk.

About what?

I have nothing to say to you.

What was that earlier?

What do you mean?

Why were you talking about Eun Jo with him?

It came up while talking about Ga Heun.

It came out because she looks like Eun Jo,

that's all.

It just came out?

You talked to that jerk about Eun Jo because Ga Heun looks like her?

You're hiding something, aren't you?

What if I am?

You already sued me for divorce.

So why would I tell you?

Why did he run away when he saw me?

What did you have him do this time?

Don't jump to conclusions.

Why do you think he ran?

Probably because you want him to be a witness...

at our divorce trial about my kidnapping Hoon.

I told him not to do it.

Even if we do get a divorce,

I won't lose custody over Hoon.

Don't try to distract me by talking about custody.

I'll confirm with Na Wook Do about what I just overheard.

I'll find out what you hired him to do...

and why you were talking about Eun Jo.

Sun Hyuk is incessant, so he'll keep hunting him.

I have to silence Wook Do.

Don't you dare tell my husband...

that Ga Heun is Eun Jo.

I'll kill you if you do.

I'm going off the grid for a while.

If you do anything to Se Rin while I'm gone,

I'll kill you.

He must explain how he used the two million dollars.

The higher up they are,

the stricter we must be about such matters.

You speak...

as if you're sure he was the one who spent that two million.

It's as if you wanted him to be entrapped.

We ended up showing Ji Na Hwang our family's dirty laundry.

Honey.

Why did you want to see both Ha Jun and me...

at the same time?

How long will you two keep this up?

That's enough.

I want you to make up with him.

You too. Apologize to your mom.

You don't trust me either.

I'll prove what happened to that two million dollars.

I didn't propose his dismissal for no reason.

So? You'll keep fighting among yourselves?

This is a company!

You two should be ashamed!

Don't be like that.

We need to use this time...

to test Ha Jun to see if he is competent enough...

to be the company president.

A test?

That sounds good to me.

You don't want me to become the successor anyway.

And I can't stand to watch you control Jewang as you please.

I'm glad you agree.

You say you agree to be tested.

How will you prove yourself?

Why don't we have Mapsy and DDM Venus compete?

It made no sense...

for two brands to compete within the same company anyway.

Have the brands compete?

You must be confident.

Of course. The winner gets authority over the other's personnel matters.

What do you think, Father?

What? Personnel matters?

Are you saying you'll fire me if you win?

Why not?

I can't stand watching you...

mislead Father anymore.

Ha Jun. Are you done?

Yes, I am. I'll assume you agree, and I'll leave.

I'll show you with my skills.

I'm speechless.

Will you let him keep doing that?

Look at how rude he is to me.

I'm misleading you?

I won't agree with his rants.

Do as he says.

Honey.

The two million dollars that you say he spent...

is a trap that you set for him.

Did you think I didn't know?

Honey... The thing is...

I couldn't stand the way he was treating me, so...

Honey, the truth is...

I used it to develop the local brand...

because I couldn't get the investment in time.

You saw the bruise Ha Jun gave me when he strangled me.

I did it because I was so upset.

He must've had a reason.

You probably upset him again.

Did you say something about Na Yeon again?

Even still.

How could a mom frame her own son?

This is the last time.

If you frame him again,

I'll fire you myself. You've been warned.

And you need to prove whether you're qualified...

to manage the local brand.

Okay... I will.

What nonsense is that?

What do you mean, she's Eun Jo?

I'm right! Ko Eun Jo!

Why were they talking about Eun Jo?

Sun Hyuk, we're in trouble.

I really did it this time.

What do you mean?

I just told Father that I'd go up against Stepmom.

You what?

I said we'd compete...

against DDM Venus for authority over personnel matters.

I did it because I wanted to get rid of her...

and away from my father as soon as possible,

but I did it without any preparation.

Darn it. What do I do?

It's not my style to take back what I said.

We'll just win, that's all.

Did you hear me?

That's not a bad start to your revenge.

Really? Then what do I do first?

Right! Let's have a strategy meeting.

Both of you come to my office.

I need to talk to you.

I have a question too.

Let's talk after the meeting.

I'm sure he heard from Bo Mi that I got the house back for Mom.

How do I explain it?

What? He wants authority over personnel matters?

Ha Jun.

How dare you provoke me in front of the chairman?

But Byung Gook found out...

that I entrapped Ha Jun.

What now?

He won't automatically believe everything I say anymore.

It won't be easy to embezzle funds anymore.

Why isn't Ju Tae Sik bringing back...

my 50 million dollars yet?

You'd better give me back my precious money.

Ji Na Hwang owed Eun Jo's dad?

Is that true?

If not, it means she's helping Eun Jo take revenge.

This isn't the time for that.

How can we launch DDM Venus without the money Dad blew?

I haven't hand washed clothes in a while.

Hey, why isn't there any hot water?

What's that smell?

Hey. The eggs are burning. Gosh.

Darn it.

They're burnt.

I'll throw them away.

Don't throw them away. Give them to me.

I'll eat them.

Don't turn the lights on.

We don't want people to know we're in here.

If Hwang Chun Gil finds out, we'll get kicked out of here too.

She isn't Hwang Chun Gil, she's Ji Na Hwang.

Whatever. A name is just a name.

Anyway, you know Hwang Ga Heun, who looks just like Eun Jo?

She looked so angry...

when they kicked us out. It was like she really was Eun Jo.

Dad, she really is Eun Jo.

But it's best you don't know.

If you find out what Ha Ra and I did to Eun Jo and her dad,

you will totally collapse from the shock.

Why are you looking at me with such pity?

You feel sorry for your old man too, don't you?

Gosh. My dear daughter.

You're actually worried about your dad.

Whatever.

That's right. The ledger.

Where's the slush fund ledger?

Maybe we can use that to blackmail Ms. Geum...

into forgetting about the 50 million dollars.

That's right.

But actually... I went to my office just earlier...

to look for it, but it wasn't there.

Hwang Chun Gil's people took everything.

What? I told you to keep it safe because it was important!

You're so annoying!

It's not like I knew this would happen.

Hey. It's Ms. Geum. What should I do?

Don't tell her that you blew the 50 million.

She'll kill us.

Okay.

Hello, Ms. Geum.

Why haven't you called? The month that you asked for has passed.

Did my 50 million dollars come in?

Yes, of course.

I got the 50 million dollars I invested...

plus another 50 million in profit.

It's bad enough you're lying. Why are you inflating it?

If you're going to lie, you have to do it right.

I see.

You made a lot of money by stealing mine.

Then include a generous interest with my money.

What's your problem?

If you hadn't hounded me...

to pay you back right away by selling off my assets,

I wouldn't have borrowed money from Hwang Chun Gil.

Why aren't you answering me?

I spent many years saving up 50 million dollars,

but you made it in a month.

Come on, Ms. Geum.

I worked hard for all those years...

to manage your slush fund without being paid a single dime.

But you want interest?

You're such a kidder.

Mr. Ju!

Since when do I kid about money?

I need 10 million first.

Tell her I'll go to her.

Okay.

The thing is, Jupiter is undergoing renovations...

at the moment,

so I'll send the money with Se Rin.

Fine.

Why are they suddenly doing renovations?

You plan to use the money you made by stealing mine...

on your building, is that it?

That good for nothing...

DDM Venus, which Ms. Geum and Se Rin are developing,

gained attention as DDM Queen's coming out,

and many fashion celebs are anticipating its launch.

I predict it'll catch up to Mapsy's sales quickly.

It would be best for the company...

if both Mapsy and the local brand succeed,

but since authority over personnel matters is at stake,

she won't let both brands succeed.

The two will end up competing within the company.

- Sir. - Sir.

Okay. Before we go off to war,

I'll be clear about my relationship with Ms. Hwang.

I won't be a leader who is influenced by his feelings.

Please go ahead.

As I told Ha Ra already, my engagement to Ms. Hwang...

is nothing more than a big show.

It's to take down Stepmom and Ha Ra.

Ms. Hwang, do you feel the same way?

Is that necessary? Must you ask how she feels too?

No matter how rational your decision was,

you can't convince me into believing...

it was right of you to use her.

Do you have another way?

Don't you want to take Stepmom down?

These documents would've saved you from dismissal.

The two million dollars that Ms. Geum said you used...

were actually funds from the budget that she withdrew...

when she took the authority over finances from you.

If you hadn't been rash and made a deal with Ji Na Hwang,

I would've stopped your dismissal with this.

I see. Thanks for your hard work.

Let's end the meeting here.

I'll prepare and submit the strategy for the new brand soon.

Darn it. I feel bad now.

But then again, I'd be angry too if I were him.

If you feel bad,

make sure your revenge is successful.

Ji Na Hwang got Eun Jo's family's fortune back...

that Se Rin's dad stole?

That means Ga Heun knew.

Why didn't she tell me?

Why didn't you tell me about Eun Jo's family?

Bo Mi told me what happened.

That was between my mom and Eun Jo's father.

All I did was help my mom.

Still. You should've told me.

I'm so grateful and I thank you,

but it makes me angry for some reason.

I shouldn't have given up back then.

Eun Jo's family wouldn't have had such a hard life then.

What do you mean?

What did you give up on?

Actually, when Eun Jo's father passed away,

Ms. Geum complained about Goeun Apparel's fabric...

and postponed paying them.

That caused them to go bankrupt.

I wanted to uncover the truth and prevent the bankruptcy,

but it didn't work out.

I see.

You and your mother solved the problem...

that I was unable to do.

Don't blame yourself.

Ms. Geum and Ju Tae Sik...

planned the whole thing.

Ga Heun. Why are you keeping secrets from me?

Can't you tell me?

Hello, ma'am.

Hi, We're having a housewarming tonight. Can you come?

A housewarming?

That's right.

You played the biggest part in getting us our house back.

I'll prepare a huge feast for you.

I'd love it if Ms. Hwang could join us,

but she said she had plans.

You have to come, okay?

Yes, of course.

Now, put it down.

My gosh. This miracle is all...

thanks to Master Ha Jun and Ga Heun's engagement.

Good. Now slowly lift your left foot.

My gosh. Chairman Han is excited, aren't you?

If you keep doing this regularly, she can start walking soon.

That's such a relief.

All we need now is for her to start talking.

Doctor. Don't tell Ms. Geum that Chairman Han is better.

It's a secret.

How is she?

Is she responding at all?

I'm sorry.

I don't see any hope at the moment.

Gosh. You and I make a good team.

Really?

Mother.

It must be so frustrating.

I've been annoyed lately because of Ha Jun.

He wants to fight me.

He demanded authority over personnel matters.

Chairman Han. You have to be strong and resist.

Ouch. That evil witch.

Ha Jun must've upset her real good.

You can't pinch her like that.

Although she can't feel it, it may still bruise.

Oh dear. What? I never pinched her.

Anyway, please take good care of her...

so that she can get up soon.

Are you all right?

I can handle this much.

You did great.

(Congratulations)

It's a cake that you grill.

I prepared that especially for my friend Soon Jung...

to celebrate her getting her house back.

Thanks, Cho Shim.

- I'll grill them up nicely. - Okay.

Eat up, Ga Heun.

- Give that to me. I'll do it. - Okay.

It's so yummy.

It melts in my mouth.

Eun Gyul is so happy.

Cho Shim, this is really delicious.

Is it because it's handon pork?

Sure. Eat up and enjoy, all of you.

Brother-in-law's son, chew well and eat a lot.

It's really yummy.

This is really nice.

You got your house and the shopping center back...

like when Mr. Ko was alive.

Eun Jo's dad had promised to give it back to the storeowners.

I know it's late, but I'm glad we could keep his promise.

Seeing Sun Hyuk and Ga Heun...

sitting side by side like this...

I'm very sorry for saying this, Ga Heun,

but back in the day, just before Sun Hyuk and Eun Jo's wedding date,

we all gathered together like this and had pomegranate wine,

had dinner together, and things like that.

I'm fine. Feel free to talk about Eun Jo.

That's right. Our moms fought too, pulling each other's hair.

That's right.

Really?

"This marriage is off!"

- That's right. I did say that. - You're right.

And Eun Gyul came at my mom like this.

My gosh. That's right.

Here comes Ultra Super Megator's acrobatic sword!

Stop it. Enough.

There.

Gosh.

Everyone still remembers.

What do you mean,

Ga Heun stole your family's entire fortune?

Ha Ra.

They didn't steal it.

Eun Jo took back what was theirs.

My dad didn't win the lottery.

It was a lie.

He stole their family fortune when Eun Jo's dad died.

Se Rin.

I had my doubts, but...

You stole Eun Jo's designs to go study abroad.

And you stole her house and the mall too?

I'm not done.

My dad used your mom's money and invested it.

All 50 million dollars.

He secretly invested with my mom's money?

Your dad has guts.

I think so too.

Anyway, Ms. Geum found out...

and told him to bring her money to develop the local brand,

So my dad put the house and mall up as collateral...

and borrowed money.

But that was from Ji Na Hwang.

From Ji Na Hwang?

Yes.

She says she owes Eun Jo's dad a huge debt,

and that's why she got his fortune back for his family.

A debt? As if.

Ga Heun used Ji Na Hwang to get revenge for her.

Right? That's what I think too.

But Ha Ra...

- There's another problem. - There's more?

What is it?

About the 50 million dollars...

My dad was conned.

It was bad enough he invested with my mom's money,

but he was conned?

Ms. Geum doesn't know.

So please, Ha Ra. Can you explain it nicely to her?

I need to launch DDM Venus and crush Eun Jo.

Listen, you useless girl.

What do you take my mom for?

What will you do about her money?

Hey! That was a slush fund anyway.

It was dirty money from extorting kickbacks.

And you can't treat me like this.

Did you forget the video I have of Eun Jo's dad?

Are you threatening me right now?

That's right, I am.

I have to do whatever it takes to survive.

I can't let Eun Jo do this to me.

I have to beat her.

You think you're the only one in a panic, don't you?

Want to hear something more shocking?

Sun Hyuk is about to figure out that Ga Heun is Eun Jo.

He overheard Wook Do and me talking when we said her name.

You know how persistent he is.

If he finds out,

it's the end to us both.

What... How...

That can't happen.

I'll ask Wook Do to take care of it.

Se Rin!

Do you want to die?

Don't you dare touch him!

Why not?

We're about to die here! Who cares about your husband?

And seriously, you need to let go.

All of this started...

because you wanted to steal him from Eun Jo.

That's right!

So don't touch him.

I won't let anyone get in my way. I don't care who it is.

I'll get rid of them all.

That psycho.

(Reform)

Sun Hyuk found out that I'm here.

He's such a pain.

Se... Se Rin?

Who else?

What are you doing here?

Wook Do.

What do I do?

What do I do?

Se Rin... What's wrong?

Is something wrong?

Why are things getting complicated?

Se Rin wouldn't make Wook Do do anything, would she?

Darn it.

The phone is turned off. Please leave a message...

He turned off his phone.

Since he said he'd go off the grid, Sun Hyuk won't be able to find him.

(Hwang Ga Heun is Ko Eun Jo!)

Why did he write this garbage and scare me?

Darn it.

(Reform)

So, you lost the mall and the house to Ga Heun?

Yes.

No, not Ga Heun. Eun Jo.

I heard you figured it out too.

It's confusing, so I'll call her Ga Heun.

So Ga Heun knows what Father did to steal Mr. Ko's fortune.

Wait. I helped him steal Mr. Ko's fortune.

She must know that too.

Which means she'll take revenge on me too.

Anyway, I heard Sun Hyuk came to see you.

Yes. He's chasing me around. He's incessant.

Wook Do. If he finds out, it'll all be over for me.

My brand will die before it can even start.

Sun Hyuk is relentless if it's about Eun Jo.

Since he heard you and Ha Ra say Eun Jo's name,

he won't give up until his suspicions are lifted.

Don't worry. You have me.

I won't let anyone get in your way.

I'll take care of it.

Do you mean it?

Then do something about Sun Hyuk.

I can't live in anxiety like this.

I'll die first, I just know it.

Don't cry. You'll mess up your pretty makeup.

I'll make sure you don't have to worry.

Trust me.

Wook Do, where are you?

Fine, let's meet.

I'm tired of running.

I'll tell you everything you want to hear.

You want to know what Ha Ra had me do, right?

Fine. Where should we meet?

Let's meet in your office tomorrow.

I'll call you when I'm there.

Don't you worry.

I'll take your secret with me to the grave.

Gosh. Her room is a mess.

She's always dropping things...

What is this?

(Hwang Ga Heun is Ko Eun Jo!)

What does this mean?

Why was this in Ha Ra's room?

(Ko Eun Jo? Fake Ga Heun is Hwang Ga Heun)

"Fake Ga Heun is Hwang Ga Heun?"

Ms. Hwang is a fake?

"Hwang Ga Heun is Ko Eun Jo."

That's ridiculous.

Ms. Hwang is Sun Hyuk's late first love?

That's nonsense.

Who's that?

(I'll wait on the roof.)

I'll wait on the roof.

Sun Hyuk. Promise you'll stop looking for me.

If not, you'll die right now.

Do you think you scare me?

What did Ha Ra make you do?

- And Ms. Hwang... - Shut it!

Do you really want to die?

You think I'm kidding, don't you?

You'll really die if you keep this up!

I don't care what you say. I must find out the truth.

Anyway, count yourself lucky today.

Stop right there.

You crazy little...

Darn it.

Sun Hyuk!

Sun Hyuk. Stay with me.

Sun Hyuk. Stay with me, Sun Hyuk!

(Miss Monte-Cristo)

I made sure your husband understood.

Make sure he can't look into Ga Heun being Eun Jo.

Why did you do it?

I'm his wife right now.

Stay in your place.

From now on, we're on our own.

- Get out! - Just 100 dollars.

Get out!

I don't want a dad who's a leech.

What job did Ha Ra request?

To find the real Hwang Ga Heun.

To find the real Hwang Ga Heun because the current one is fake?

Take a good look.

Ha Ra and I killed Eun Jo and her unborn baby.
