Xin Jue's Life Lamp has gone out.

The Ice Tribe must have killed him.

When the sun rises tomorrow

we shall attack the Ice Tribe!

Do you know the light that lies under the ice sheath?

That light has a force that can melt snow and ice.

It couldn't be a force of the Ice Tribe.

It seems that Ka Suo has discovered the Holy Flame.

But it is already too late.

To war!

[Episode 3]

I'm willing to volunteer!

Father, I'm willing to retrieve The Deicide for you.

What's that?

Did you overhear every word we said?

I did. Very clearly.

Do you know the consequences

of summoning The Deicide?

If one were to summon The Deicide, one's soul would be diminished.

Come here.

Shi.

Earlier today on the battlefield

I nearly handed you over to Flame.

Do you not blame me at all?

I don't blame you.

What Father decided to do then

was for the sake of the Ice Tribe.

You wanted to avoid going to war and risking everyone's lives.

However, I volunteer on one condition.

What condition is that?

My mother and Ka Suo

must not know about this matter.

Give me some time to think this over.

Prince Shi.

Judging by your current powers

you have no chance in surviving this task.

That is even better.

The sacrifice of the most useless prince in our tribe

could summon a sacred sword to assist us in victory.

It would also rid me of my sins as the culprit of instigating this war

and make me a hero.

Father, this is the best solution.

Please grant me my wish.

I beseech Your Majesty to grant the prince his wish.

Send him to the Bottomless Pit to summon our sacred sword, The Deicide.

Please grant the prince his wish to summon The Deicide.

Ying Kong Shi.

Present!

I will command you

to summon The Deicide.

Yes, Your Majesty!

This territory belongs to the Ice Tribe.

What do you intend to do here?

Attack!

Hold on!

I know the underground passage into Snowblade City.

As long as you let me live

I can point you in the right direction.

Mother!

What brings you here?

Mother, I'm waiting to have dinner with you.

You must be exhausted

so I've prepared some fruits of frozen lotus as nourishment.

Are you... all right?

I'm fine.

Why would I not be fine?

On the battlefield, your father treated you...

You're not hurt?

I'm all right. Look.

I'm totally unharmed.

Ka Suo had me so well protected.

Your brother, Ka Suo, is much more valiant than I am.

That's why you followed him around all day long

and only reported to me of your well-being now.

Weren't you afraid that I'd be too worried about you?

Mother.

You know that I love you the most.

You love me more than Ka Suo?

You're my most beloved mother

and Ka Suo is my most beloved brother!

Crafty little thing!

You're already so good with words before you're even grown up?

You've learned to deceive women?

Let's see how I deal with this cheeky little boy!

- Mother! - I'll teach you a lesson!

Mother!

Mother, why has your necklace flashed?

Flame is summoning me again.

I have to make up my mind soon.

When did it flash?

You were too dazed.

Let's have dinner together, then?

I still have to take some frozen fruit to Ka Suo later.

How about this?

Why don't you take the fruits to Ka Suo first?

I'd like to get some rest now.

But I'd like to have dinner with you.

I'll have dinner with you tomorrow, all right?

Tomorrow?

Will we still be able to have dinner together tomorrow?

You don't have to be worried.

Even if the Ice Tribe is wiped out by the Fire Tribe tomorrow

I will definitely keep you safe.

So we'll have dinner together tomorrow?

Well...

All right, then.

Mother, I'm leaving.

You must take good care of yourself.

You've suffered a lot.

They looked down on you all these years.

We will soon have a better life.

Trust me.

Your Highness, Prince Shi asked me to bring these fruits to you.

Where is he?

The young prince has already left.

Could he be mad at me?

What a stupid brother I have!

Snowy Lion is your spiritual beast.

It's already exhausted but you're still pushing yourself.

Will he only stop when he's used up all of his powers?

Once I retrieve The Deicide

you won't have to work so hard.

Ka Suo is playing his flute.

I was only away from the castle for one afternoon.

Why did you get into a fight with other children again?

It's all your fault.

We already made a deal to play in the forest today

but then you suddenly said that you couldn't make it.

Why else would I have gotten into a fight or even run into them?

I'm sorry.

I didn't get to meet up with you today...

because of this.

A flute?

It's a magical flute.

If you don't believe me, you can wave it about.

Ka Suo, it can play on its own!

It's amazing!

Don't underestimate it.

It's made of sole-leaf bamboo.

Sole-leaf bamboo

is an ice bamboo that grows only one leaf.

No matter the distance, as long as one blows on this leaf

the flute will play.

This is so interesting!

You can have it.

I don't want the leaf. I just want the flute.

Why?

No matter how far away we are from one another

I'll go searching for you once you blow on the leaf.

My dear brother...

I can't go to you this time.

I'm worried that once I see you

I will lose the courage to retrieve The Deicide.

If I can make it home alive

I will surely apologize to you properly.

Farewell, my dear brother.

Hold on! On the right!

What are you doing?

I... I seem to have remembered wrongly.

It seems to be on the left.

It's already daytime.

Exactly where is the entrance?

The entrance to the secret passage is definitely well hidden!

It changes its location very often.

If we take the wrong entrance and walk into a trap

don't blame me for it.

You've been taking toilet breaks all night long.

Are you lying to us?

- No! - Liar!

I'm really not lying.

I'm waiting for my Turnip.

Turnip?

Why not "carrot"?

It really is called Turnip!

Look! Turnip is here!

Turnip, let's go!

The Bottomless Pit is there!

Listen up!

Those who don't wish to go in

I will give you one last chance.

It's not too late to leave now.

We pledge our lives to Prince Shi.

Good. Let's head inside.

The royal family members of the Ice Tribe

were so skilled in combat

and unaffected by the meltdown of the ice sheath

because they carried a sacred gift given to them

by their ancestor, She Mi. The prajna beads of wisdom.

The Ice Tribe took the prayer beads apart

and used the beads to make four Vimalakirti bangles

a pair of Binbasara earrings

a Shore Beyond bracelet

and an Infinite Life ring.

These sacred objects can enhance the magical powers of their owners.

Something's amiss on the battlefield.

Hang in there while I go and take a look.

Yes!

Little one.

Child! Child! My child!

- Mother... - My child!

Let's go.

Your Highness!

- Your Highness. - General.

How are the preparations?

Everyone is ready.

Along with 20 officials

I will protect Prince Ka Suo with my life

and escort him out of the city.

What does that mean?

Why am I to be escorted out of the city?

His Majesty has given orders to me

to take Prince Ka Suo to the mortal realm

in search of the Six-Leaf Ice Crystal to mend the ice sheath.

Then we will try to to defeat Fire Tribe.

No.

I can't do that.

I have to save them.

Your Highness, you mustn't return to the city!

Your Highness, I'm begging you!

You're the most gifted prince we have ever had

who wields the greatest magical powers we've seen in thousands of years.

Now that all is lost

His Majesty has entrusted such an important task to you.

You have to get your priorities straight!

The Ice Tribe must not be eliminated without an heir!

What about Shi? Where is Ying Kong Shi?

Your Highness, Prince Shi has headed to the Bottomless Pit

to retrieve The Deicide.

We've heard no news of him yet.

Your Highness! Where are you going?

Once I retrieve The Deicide, we'll still have hope.

I will never give up until the very end!

Ji Quan, I'll leave this matter to you.

Don't worry about it, General.

Even if I have to risk my life, I will get the prince to safety!

Soldiers!

Protect the Ice Tribe until death!

- Charge! - Attack!

Don't move!

Quickly! Leave now!

The outcome is clear for all to see.

Surrender.

Don't act too recklessly.

Father! Mother!

Forgive us for being unfilial!

It's about time I put an end to all of this.

All of you are to step aside.

Blaze Blade!

King of Ice.

If you break through my enchantment sphere

you will only make your children go up in flames

and suffer a more agonizing death.

Flame.

I'm the king of all three realms.

You can come at me all you want. Don't target my children.

The ruler of three realms, the King of Ice

is now begging me?

King of Fire.

Can you please spare my children?

All right.

King of Fire.

I beg you...

Spare my children.

Sure.

As long as they pledge loyalty to the Fire Tribe

and kill the both of you before my father

as proof of their loyalty...

my father will spare them.

Flame!

You're a perverse man!

I'd rather die than kill my own parents!

You're still so stubborn when death is at hand?

My brother!

Father.

We'll teach them a lesson or two!

Hold on!

I'm warning you.

With my brother's command

this prince of yours

will be impaled to death by a million arrows.

I advise you to surrender quickly!

Flame! Please don't kill my younger brother.

I'm willing to die for him.

Kill you instead?

What fun is that?

You wish so badly to save your brother?

I'll play a game with you, then.

If you kill your wife

I will spare your brother.

You!

As for your wife...

you can always marry another.

But that isn't the same for brothers.

Make up your own mind.

Zhu Gong, kill me.

Kill me.

I give you my consent to wed another.

Shadow, what nonsense is this?

I will marry no one else but you.

These words alone

are good enough for me.

Hold on!

I'm too scared to die.

I don't wish to be killed by my husband either.

King of Fire...

I surrender.

I'm willing to pledge my allegiance to you.

Shadow, don't!

Don't do it, Shadow!

The women of the Ice Tribe are so weak.

Interesting.

Don't kill them too quickly.

I'd like to watch them die a slow and lingering death.

Father... Mother...

Since the day I married Zhu Gong

you have never once treated me like a daughter-in-law!

You treated me as if I were your own daughter.

Shadow...

- Don't! - Today... I'm so sorry!

Don't!

Zhu Gong, Shadow, Nan Xing, Li Guang, and Xue Mi...

I've failed you.

Yet I'm so proud of you.

The entire Ice Tribe

will remember your names!

You sacrificed your lives to inform

all life forms in the three realms

about the King of Fire's treacherous crimes!

Don't you worry, my children.

Your deaths will not be in vain.

As long as one of our tribesmen is still alive

be it hundreds or thousands of years from now

snow and ice will eventually engulf the flames!

This is The Deicide?

I've been kept away for so long

and I can finally come out to get some fresh air now!

You're the sacrificial offering?

You look delicious.

Let go of me!

What a lively sacrificial offering you are!

Not bad.

That will make you taste even better!

If you want to devour me you will have to consent to my terms.

You must assist the Ice Tribe in defeating the King of Fire!

I will consent to it.

But I have to gobble up your soul first!

Go ahead!

It won't do. Something's missing.

What's missing?

Fear.

That is the best seasoning for the soul.

Let me see what you are most afraid of.

Ka Suo.

Ka Suo!

Ka Suo! How did this happen?

- Shi... - Ka Suo!

Ka Suo, you mustn't die!

I've brought The Deicide here to save you! Ka Suo!

Ka Suo, you mustn't die!

Ka Suo!

Ka Suo, you mustn't die!

My brother, you can't abandon me!

I, Flame, should be the ruler of the three realms.

I love devouring a frightful soul!

Ka Suo, you mustn't die...

Ka Suo, you mustn't die... You mustn't die...

A desperate and frightful soul smells terrifically delightful!

It's time to feast!

Shi! Are you all right?

Ka Suo, you mustn't die...

Ka Suo... Ka Suo...

What have you done to my brother?

All I did was season him a bit.

Ke Tuo, take Ying Kong Shi out of here immediately.

Your Highness, you must bear His Majesty's command in mind.

You must stay safe.

That won't do.

I have to retrieve The Deicide in order to save Ice Tribe.

Sword spirit.

Today, I am your offering!

Bring it on!

Interesting...

Ka Suo, get back here!

Your Highness!

- Your Highness! - Ka Suo, get back here!

- I'm the offering! - Your Highness!

- You mustn't die! - Ka Suo! Get back here now!

Ka Suo!

- Your Highness! - Ka Suo!

- Your Highness! - Ka Suo!

Your Highness! Are you all right?

I... I have to get The Deicide!

- Ka Suo! - Your Highness!

You mustn't go over there!

This place is crashing down.

We have to leave immediately!

No! I have to get The Deicide!

- Your Highness! - Ka Suo!

I won't leave if you don't!

Shi, leave now!

Your Highness, if we don't leave now

we will all have to die in here!

Ka Suo!

Ka Suo! Leave now!

- Let's go! - Run!

My king.

Where is Ka Suo?

They have gone to the Bottomless Pit to retrieve The Deicide.

Once I capture Ka Suo

I'll torture him to death slowly before your eyes.

Then you will understand

it's impossible for the Ice Tribe to be resurrected again.

I might actually be merciful and allow you to die.

Head over to the Bottomless Pit

and get Ka Suo back here!

- Yes! - Yes!

Your Highnesses, leave now! Go!

Go after them!

Over here!

Ji Quan...

Ji Quan!

Ji Quan...

Ji Quan!

Ji Quan! Hang in there.

Your Highness...

Don't say a word.

I'll staunch your bleeding first

and then take you to the medical healers.

It's too dangerous here.

You must leave now.

We will leave together.

You're still so kind...

Prince Ka Suo...

Listen...

All the princes and princesses...

they were all killed.

Ka Suo...

My honorable prince...

You must stay strong and alive.

I will.

I promise.

Ji Quan?

Ji Quan!

Your Highness.

We have to go.

Run!

What do you want?

I told you, I can't follow your orders.

But he's my brother.

You can't go!
