No Boundary

Episode 28

I don't mind giving you a hand

if you wish to become a woman.

General Duanmu.

What do you mean?

General Gao, you're not well-educated indeed.

A simple sentence can baffle you.

You...

Ridiculous!

Everyone!

General Gu Chang

succeeded in killing the guard of Anyi City, Fei Zhong

and honoured the human race.

Today, we shall

celebrate General Gu Chang's victory!

Come!

General Gao.

General Gu Chang.

Congratulations!

Who knew Fei Zhong would be so reckless

and fell into the enemy's trap?

In my opinion,

General Gu Chang's luck

is really incomparable.

Who said our general won by luck?

Under his lead, the Gu Chang Camp

had glorious wins.

General Gu Chang is fully prepared

for each of his plans.

Good luck can only

be obtained with

enough potential.

Blabbermouth!

Luck?

So, General Gao fights war by luck?

So,

the reason you lost Mianchi

and made us lost half of our men

to snatch it back

is not because of your arrogance

and lack of defence,

but because of your bad luck?

Duanmu Cui!

Duanmu.

General Gao.

Duanmu is young.

Hence, she's hasty with her words.

Give me a face

and don't blame her.

It's fine.

How will I

blame General Gu Chang's future wife?

Never mind.

Duanmu.

Why did Gu Chang ask us here

to show us his success?

How would I know?

Mighty General Gu Chang.

We should rejoice for

the human race's success!

A toast to you.

Your arrogance won't last long!

General Duanmu.

Aren't you at the feast

for General Gu Chang?

Why are you here?

You're not there too.

Many are there to congratulate Gu Chang.

I'm here for my brothers.

Jin Yan.

When Fei Zhong gave you 18 stabs,

I still remember

the last look you gave me.

He's now beheaded.

Is that his karma?

Yu Lang.

I can't take it today.

So, I humiliated Gao Bo Jian hard to the ground.

If he wasn't greedy

and ran towards the Demon Clan scouts,

you wouldn't die a tragic death

due to his late rescue.

But, don't worry.

That Gao Bo Jian didn't get to

show off in front of people.

Our sisters and I did well

and earned plenty of merits.

For that,

let's have a toast.

Now,

my father's Duanmu Tribe

and my mother's Yushan Tribe

had countless casualties.

Not much survivors are left.

Duanmu

I'll protect them.

You won't let me drink too?

Mister Yue.

You're taking advantage with your age.

You youngsters were the one

who didn't respect the old people.

How can you finish

this nice wine all by yourself?

I'll take the wine.

Have some early rest.

I'm not done with my brothers.

Duanmu!

Where are you?

Duanmu!

Look.

General Gu Chang might have

some urgency for you in such a hurry.

Go to him.

Duanmu.

You're not a child.

You're a female general leading the troops.

Why were you so childish?

I'm not a child.

But many of the Duanmu Brigade are children!

Yu Lang died

with 30 swords in his body

when he was 17.

Duanmu Heng was trampled to death by the Demon Clan's horses

when he was just 15.

And Duanmu Jin Yan.

If Gao Bo Jian was competent and humble,

would all the 3,000 soldiers of the Duanmu Brigade

fail to return at all?

Duanmu.

Calm down.

There would be sacrifices in war.

Sacrifices?

Gu Chang.

Yu Du

is the only surviving male in the Duanmu Brigade.

There lies Duanmu Tribe.

I made my promise

to bring all of them home

when I brought them with me.

I broke my promise.

Gu Chang.

Go back to the feast.

You're the main person for today.

I'll skip it.

There's nothing to celebrate for a brief victory

with our men's sacrifices.

We haven't claimed back Anyi

and Chong City is still under the Demon Clan.

General.

It's very cold.

Why did you wait outside

instead of the camp?

You have not returned.

I didn't dare to enter the camp by my own.

You're considerate

and disciplined.

But why can't I get things straight with her?

General Duanmu is a heroine.

She would be natural and casual.

I can't compare to her.

Perhaps

her troubles can only be resolved

after the Demon Clan is exterminated.

You have deep hatred

towards the Demon Clan.

They massacred our people

and humiliated my mother and sister.

Our feud is irreconcilable.

In my living days,

I must eliminate the Demon Clan

to provide a peaceful life

for the human race.

Don't worry.

Since I saved you from

the Demon Clan,

I'll protect you forever.

You'll be safe.

One!

Two!

Three!

That's enough!

We'll stop here.

Get some rest!

Yes!

Here, elder sisters.

It's hard on you!

I'm so tired!

You're welcome!

Here, take this.

Here you go.

Thank you.

It's hard on you, sister.

Go take a bath.

-Okay. -Okay.

Thank you.

Yu Du!

Give it to me, Sister Mi.

You shouldn't do this.

That's right.

You're the key protection object

of the entire Duanmu Brigade.

Hurry and get breakfast.

We'll be there soon.

Sister Ruo Nan.

How can I eat

when you girls are working hard?

What's with gender?

There're no gender talks

in the Duanmu Brigade!

You're still young.

We must take care of you.

I'm young five years ago.

You've been there since then.

But now I'm 18.

It's my turn to take care of you girls.

I want to be like Brother

and fight alongside you in war.

It's been five years.

The Duanmu Brigade has no men for five years.

You've been pampering this baby boo since then.

In my opinion,

General Duanmu should

hurry and marry Gu Chang.

You won't have to fight

when the two camps merge.

You'll stay back

to wash our clothes and cook our meals.

The men in Duanmu Brigade are all dead.

It's pathetic to look

at you women and orphans

practising here.

What did you say?

What?

Am I wrong?

You?

An amateur wishes to go to war?

Your General Duanmu

wouldn't allow it to happen.

If you're dead,

the Duanmu Brigade will have no descendants.

I advise you

to stay in Duanmu Brigade obediently

and be the baby boo here.

Duanmu Brigade doesn't have to fight at all.

Just follow Gu Chang Camp

to collect ready-made merits.

Unlike the Gao Bo Camp,

we do not have good support

and couldn't get any merits.

We can only do backup work.

The camps have their own tasks.

If you're displeased,

please discuss with the Prime Minister.

So what if I'm displeased?

General Duanmu is the Prime Minister's goddaughter.

In public or private,

he's always protecting the Duanmu Brigade.

Am I right, Miss Mi?

Let's go.

Cheng Qi.

Go back first.

Yes.

Mi.

You're a smart woman indeed.

I spoke

for your own good.

The entire Duanmu Brigade

is weak and powerless.

There's no decent man.

Follow me,

and you can enjoy life.

Move.

What can women do

besides washing clothes, giving birth

and cooking?

You won't get to fight forever

if you stay by Duanmu Cui.

You'll have to

depend on men at last.

I'm willing to do so,

so you should be sensible.

How can I be sensible?

Agree to be with me soon.

I can give you a title.

If you're late,

you'll only get to be my servant.

Even if I do,

I can't do it here.

Then tell me, which place is suitable?

Congratulations, Your Highness.

You finally fulfilled your wish.

From now on, Anyi City and Chong City

belong to you.

I'm the crown prince.

The entire Demon Clan will soon be mine.

For so many years,

Father couldn't forget that mongrel.

If he didn't disappear,

he'll never name me as the crown prince

or even give Anyi to me.

He remembered about me

now that no one

is beside him.

I'll certainly prove to him

that his bias

is a mistake for all these years.

That guy is just a mongrel.

And I

am his best son.

When you win the fight of Anyi,

the Demon King will be impressed.

Your Highness.

How did you plan this?

The human race

was formed by a motley crowd

of weaklings from various tribes.

A heap of loose sand is always a heap of loose sand.

It won't turn into a rock.

If we can find their weakness,

some of them

can be utilised from within.

Darling.

Why are you so late?

I've been waiting for so long.

Let me have a hug.

Darling.

You must stand firm.

Later,

you might not be able to take it.

Don't worry.

I can

take care of anything.

Who is it?

Who?

Let us show him what we got!

Stop!

Stop!

Didn't you underestimate us?

If you do it again,

I'll make sure that you can't become a man.

You!

I'll do what I said.

You can complain

to General Gao if you're displeased.

I won't have to do anything by then.

General Duanmu

will disable you first!

Let's go!

That wretched Mi!

A real man is sure to take the revenge!

I'll count the scores with you one day!

A knife hangs above the character for lust.

Seems like we can make use

of this Cheng Qi.

After Gu Chang killed Anyi's townkeeper,

the Demon King sent the Crown Prince

to guard the town to boost morality.

I heard that the Demon Clan honours the strongest.

If one is weak,

not even a prince

can hold a stand.

That makes sense.

Look.

This is weak.

They can't even lift a bucket.

There's no one capable in Duanmu Brigade anymore.

Just a bunch of girls

playing with swords here.

Who asked them to have a female leader?

She's feisty every day

and doesn't act like a woman.

How boring.

At least they train themselves

and accept orders fearlessly.

But some men

are like long-winded women

who like to gossip.

What can you say as a stable boy?

So what if I am a stable boy?

Without us grooming and feeding the horses,

how do you fight on horseback?

There's no useless positions in an army.

If you're punished to clean horses,

you should respect the task.

Being selective and haughty

are taboos in the army.

You insolent thing!

How dare you

make comments about the army?

Sir.

What did I do wrong?

Talking back at me?

I'll whip you to your death!

Who dares?

Who gave you the power to punish new recruits?

It's General Duanmu.

General Duanmu.

The Gao Bo Camp will handle this.

You don't have to interfere.

Gao Bo Camp, Duanmu Brigade,

Gu Chang Camp,

and Yang Jian's Vanguard Camp

are under the Prime Minister's command.

Do you plan to reign on your own

and defy the Prime Minister

by dividing us up?

Your words are too harsh.

I'm teaching my subordinate.

You're venting your anger on them!

I'm his commander!

I can do whatever I want

with him!

Is that so?

I'm your commander too.

I can do whatever I want

with you as well.

Send my orders.

The Archer Commander of Gao Bo Camp, Cheng Qi.

Deduct his salary for a month

for torturing a new recruit.

Besides that,

horse stance for two hours at the training grounds

to show everyone

the outcome for torturing others!

Take him away!

Duanmu Cui!

Go!

Don't touch me!

-You better behave! -I'll walk on my own!

Go!

What a shame!

You made Duanmu Cui find your fault

and punish you in public?

General Gao.

Duanmu Cui punished me

to shame you.

That's because you're foolish.

Duanmu Cui is nothing.

But the Prime Minister is her godfather.

Yang Jian is her godbrother.

Gu Chang is her fiance.

What about you?

What do you have?

General Gao.

I'm sorry.

Get out!

Don't dirty my eyes!

You're the one who angered Duanmu Cui.

So, she let it out on me.

Instead, you pushed the blame to me.

I earned nothing at all

by following a rubbish like you.

I can only do some

feeble work

and endure your cowardice.

Don't be mad, General Cheng.

Some people are blind

to see talents.

That means they're incompetent.

It's their loss.

Who is it?

Who's talking?

Who are you?

I'm your admirer.

I'm here to discuss an allegiance.

Come.

Let me have a kiss.

After tonight,

I'll be yours.

I might be violent at war,

but I'm gentle

when it comes to the beauty.

You're still worthy for His Highness.

Otherwise, you don't even deserve

to be devoured by dogs.

How would I fancy you?

Recruitment Notice

The army is recruiting!

If we're selected,

we'll have two steamed buns twice a day!

Our families

were killed by the Demon Clan.

I want to join them!

I want to kill the demons!

That's right!

I want to join the army!

It's the same.

Gu Chang killed Fei Zhong.

The Crown Prince of Demon Clan took over Anyi City.

War is coming.

Yan'er.

Duanmu.

I'm grateful to both of you.

If you two weren't affectionate enough,

I won't be able to return to the Abyss.

I won't let you down for your sacrifices.

The history replays!

The apotheosis of the god will happen again!

Next!

I heard that Commander Cheng

is not interested in such trivial matters.

Why did you offer yourself today

to come alongside me

for the recruitment?

The Gao Bo Camp

relies on this recruitment for more elites.

The General was concerned,

so he sent me here for observance.

Thank you.

He's here indeed.

He was the one who conspired with the mountain demon

and spilled the beans to the Demon Clan.

The history remains the same.

What are you mumbling?

I'm talking to you!

Fill in your name here.

Where are you from?

I'm from Xia City.

Do you have your documents?

I was assaulted by the Demon Clan

and barely escaped their wrath.

My assets and documents were lost on the way.

I'm sorry.

We can't accept you.

Please leave.

Officer!

My entire family was killed by demons.

I must kill them personally

to avenge them!

Oh no! It's the Demon Clan!

Run!

The Demon Clan is here!

Brothers!

Charge!

The Demon Clan is here! Run!

Run!

Let's go!

Don't worry, mister.

The Demon Clan may be strong,

but the human race stand strong too.

Help will be here soon.

So, I guess

the Demon Clan won't stay long.

Seeing your composure,

are you a veteran?

My family was massacred by the Demon Clan.

I barely escaped death.

A man who escaped death

has no fear of death.

Mister.

If they found us,

I'll try to distract them.

You must run.

What about you?

What should you do?

I'll stay back

and fight till the death.

I won't be in a loss if I get to kill

at least one of them.

You're a brave man.

If we're safe,

I'll take you in exceptionally!

Thank you, mister.

General Cheng!

General Cheng!

The demons are there!

Follow me, brothers!

We'll exterminate them!

Yes!

Mister Yue!

General Yang.

Are you alright?

Sorry for being late.

Never mind.

Who is this?

He's a new service recruit.

He'll work in my camp.

General Yang.

Your Highness.

Your instructions

are completed.

Very well.

Disposing of a few pawns in exchange

of a mole within.

This is

a worthy deal.

What shall we do next?

We'll wait for Cheng Qi's intel.

After we get hold

of their plan to attack Anyi,

we can be well prepared.

The Crown Prince of the Demon Clan is Anyi City's new townkeeper.

He led the Demon Clan

to disturb our people at the borders.

I've decided to send a scout

to observe their movement.

Prime Minister.

You can assign this task to Gao Bo Camp.

A scout doesn't have to fight the demons,

but spontaneity is important.

It's not simple

as it contains risks.

The troops in General Gao

are usually assigned to prepare rations for war.

I am afraid a tedious task like this

could be troublesome.

The Duanmu Brigade

will take this task for efficiency.

Duanmu Cui.

What do you mean?

General Duanmu.

Your troops are used to vanguarding

and are suitable as scouts.

But now,

your troops are mostly women.

Such obvious signs

would easily be discovered by the Demon Clan.

Our camp will do it.

General Yang Jian.

Your camp is in charge of the Prime Minister's safety.

You must focus on that.

Gu Chang Camp is preparing for war with Anyi.

We can't stop our training.

So, we can't provide a scout.

Why don't we follow General Gao's advice?

Who said Duanmu Brigade is out of men?

I'm a man.

Yu Du!

I, Yu Du, hereby ask

to be the scout.

You?

Bringing a bunch of girls as scouts?

There's no need.

I'll go alone.

No way!

Yu Du.

You can't go.

General Duanmu.

I can shoot with great precision

and I possess superb eyesight.

I'm the best candidate as a scout.

Besides,

our sisters need to prepare themselves

for the war of Anyi

and couldn't leave.

I'm the most suitable choice.

But...

I do think

Yu Du is suitable.

Fine.

Then I'll wish you good luck, Young General Yu.

Prime Minister!

That's it.

You may return.

Yes!

The general has been repenting.

She thinks that

she failed the brothers of Duanmu Brigade.

Yu Du.

You're now the only male

of Duanmu Brigade.

She doesn't wish to see you in danger.

Sister Mi.

I understand.

But look at Cheng Qi.

He's obviously disregarding Duanmu Brigade.

I hate to see him humiliate us.

Besides, his camp was at fault which caused

our brothers' death.

Now that war is coming,

they mustn't become the scouts.

I can't trust them.

Otherwise,

our brothers will be harmed again.

Sister Mi.

I'm a scout.

Not a tourist.

Can you stop packing things for me?

Your Sister Ruo Nan

prepared these clothes for you.

This

is an amulet from Sister Mei.

And this

is a dagger from Sister Ru Yan.

Which one should I leave it behind?

Okay.

Sister.

I'll take everything with me.

Sister Mi.

Did General Duanmu

prepare anything for me?

Yes.

Sister Duanmu!

What did you prepare for me?

My words.

Come back alive.

Yes, General Duanmu.

Why aren't you moving?

Jeez!

So what if he's from Duanmu Brigade?

I managed to subdue him well!

Who are you? Are you blind?

How dare you block my way?

Do you want to die?

You want a fight?

I have a few questions.

Answer honestly

and I won't kill you.

Are you a demon?

Of course.

I'm the prettiest panther in the lot.

You can ask around.

Why do you fight the human race?

And,

where are they?

Big brother.

The human race and Demon Clan are at war for decades.

Everyone in the world

knows about it.

Cut the slack.

Answer me.

I'll say it.

The human race gathers at the east.

Head north and you'll see their army.

We're guards of Anyi City.

We're here today

to assassinate Duanmu Brigade.

Duanmu Brigade?

Do you know Duanmu Cui?

She's the only female general of the human race.

A feisty one.

Duanmu.

You're always famous

wherever you go.

Another question.

Can the human race retrieve Chong City?

Dream on!

But the human race is formidable.

The Demon Clan has Anyi City

as the only defence line

to guard Chong City.

The war of Chong City is yet to happen.

That's great.

I must find Duanmu quickly

and take her away

from the Chong City tragedy.

Big brother.

You'll let me go, right?

Of course.

I won't kill you.

I promised I won't kill you.

Who are you?

It's time to eat, General.

Place it there.

I don't feel like eating.

What's the matter, General?

It's the dream again.

The same man without a face?

In the dream,

I wanted to see his face.

But I can't see him clearly.

Was he General Gu Chang?

No.

Mi?

Why do you stare at me?

General.

Have you ever dreamt about General Gu Chang?

I did.

I was fighting alongside him.

That's it?

What else do you think?

General.

What do you think about General Gu Chang?

Gu Chang is skilled

and cautious.

He's a formidable commander.

That's it?

What else do you think?

You're engaged to General Gu Chang since young.

He's your fiance.

But your comment for him

is just a good commander?

He is a good commander.

Mi.

You're confusing me.

General.

Do you think he'll be a good husband?

Gu Chang is smart, diligent,

responsible and accountable.

He's a good commander.

Hence he'll be a good husband.

After saying so much,

you never said if you love him

or he loves you.

Mi.

It's difficult enough

to survive and help each other in such chaos.

We shouldn't mind about love.

My marriage to him

is the best choice

for me

and the Duanmu Brigade.

That would suffice.

General.

I feel sorry for you.

Mi.

Yu Du and you accompanied me for all these years.

You're like my family.

It's enough with you two by my side.

I don't wish for anything else.

But I feel insecure

about Yu Du being

assigned as the scout.

Don't worry, General.

Yu Du followed you to war since young.

He's a smart lad.

He'll return safely.

I hope so.

General!

General!

Bad news!

Yu Du was captured!

Let's go!

Hurry!

Walk!

Walk faster!

Hurry up!

Faster!

Faster!

Go ahead.

I'm going for a wee.

I'm rich!

Wait.

These copper shells are mine.

Brother.

Lend me a hand.

What is it?

I was supposed to be with you

to capture these humans.

But I couldn't help and stole some things.

If our leaders know about it,

I'll be punished.

I'll share half of it to you.

Can you let me join you

in the escort?

I won't take half.

Give it all to me.

All to you?

My efforts will be in vain.

Didn't you hear the orders?

If our leaders know,

we'll be dead.

The Crown Prince took over Anyi City

and rules it strictly.

Have you forgotten?

Seventy percent.

Deal!

Many are watching.

Don't expose yourself.

It'll be troublesome if they target us.

I know.

Keep up!

Hurry!

We're finally earning our glory!

Even that devil Duanmu Cui's man

was captured by us!

Nonsense!

What are you talking about?

Your invincible General Duanmu

is a reincarnated devil!

Our General Duanmu is a lucky star!

How can a mortal survive being

buried alive for three days?

Speaking about luck!

Duanmu Cui obviously

devoured her poor mother

inside the tomb

and survived!

You must keep it a secret.

A high immortal

is afraid of the dark.

Duanmu.

I didn't expect that

you encountered such a tragic past.

Stop!

If the Crown Prince

didn't say that you're important to the human race,

I would've killed you.

You know my identity?

Duanmu Brigade's last descendant, Yu Du.

Who doesn't know?

How do you think you were discovered?

There's a mole in the camp.

Who do you work with?

What a nosy fellow.

You can ask Hades when you're dead.

The leaders ordered

to keep him alive.

We'll be in trouble

if he's dead.

I'll spare you for now!

Guard him!

Behave.

Why did you save me?

I'm not a demon.

It's just a pretence.

Thank you, brother.

The Demon Clan!

The Demon Clan is here!

Report to the magistrate!

Lord Shangguan.

Now that the demons are entering Qifeng City,

shouldn't we establish

some constitutions?

I'm still thinking about it.

They're untraceable

and live as nomads.

How can we manage them?

This is not

something I can do

as a human magistrate.

It's far exceeding my power.

There're reports from Zhuque Street.

Demons have entered Qifeng City again.

The people are staying inside.

There mustn't be trouble.

Let's go.

We'll take a look.

He Xue.

Why are the humans afraid of us?

We'll leave after the purchase.

We shouldn't scare them

if they're afraid.

Mother.

That person is so white.

What a beautiful hairpin.

Don't touch it! Put it down!

No way!

Come back!

Don't run, my son!

Be careful!

Move!

Move!

Move aside! I'll get it!

Are you alright?

Who are you?

Why did you sprint on the road?

I...

It's a misunderstanding.

This is our magistrate, Lord Shangguan Ce.

My son was running around carelessly,

hence the accident.

Please be careful next time, Lord Shangguan.

Don't hurt anyone.

Wait, young lady.

Your hairpin is too expensive.

The steamed buns don't cost that much.

Can I come back again for some buns tomorrow?

What kind of filling would you like?

I'll prepare them for you.

I'm a vegetarian.

Please prepare

some with tofu fillings.

Sure!

Young lady.

What is your name?

You can call me He Xue.

This young lady looks beautiful.

Though she looks different from us,

but she's kind.

Don't forget.

She's a demon.

We must take caution

for what they have done.

Who are you?

Let me out!

I'm not staying here!

Can someone let us out?

Let me out!

Let me out!

Don't be afraid.

Wherever you are,

I'll always be by your side.

Zhan...
