No Boundary

Episode 27

Zhan Yan.

Don't hate me.

Zhan Yan.

You are so silly.

Duanmu.

Don't cry.

You still have me.

Can we go back to the way we used to be?

Please?

Go back to how we used to be?

Duanmu.

Let's go back

to how we used to be, can we?

Can we really go back?

Wengu.

This antidote is a fake, isn't it?

Yes.

The poison which transmuted from the aura of death

and enhanced with my dragon orb.

There is no cure for it.

Unless...

Unless...

Unless

you die!

Heart-locking finger skill?

You actually used heart-locking finger skill.

It's just to deceive me?

If I hadn't done so,

I wouldn't have been able to take you down.

A mere heart-locking finger skill

can't kill me.

Have you forgotten that

Penglai Drawing and I have merged into one?

I can control it now.

Even the entire Penglai comes after me,

I am still fearless.

You really underestimated me.

Wengu,

do you remember

I told you

not to belittle yourself before?

I have never underestimated you.

Wengu,

I believe in you.

Don't belittle

or underestimate yourself.

When I say you are worth it,

you really are worth it.

Duanmu.

How did we end up like this?

One misstep

leads to another.

We can't go back anymore.

God of Justice,

we mustn't delay any longer.

Only with the help of the lightning punishment from the heaven

can we bring out the greatest power

to slaughter the evil dragon.

But High Immortal Duanmu hasn't returned yet.

Why don't we wait a little bit longer?

No.

Target the Five Vicious Lightning

on Wengu.

Five Vicious Lightning?

Duanmu,

are you crazy?

Wengu,

I am unable to repay

your deep love for me.

All this happened because of me,

I should be the one to put an end to it.

We die together,

our souls disperse,

that's your choice?

Yes.

You are indeed the Duanmu I know

who would never turn her back to her friend.

Duanmu.

If I die now,

will you remember me?

I see.

I understand.

Wengu!

Wengu.

At least this one tear of yours

is for me.

That's more than enough.

Remember what you said.

Don't remember me.

Don't feel sorry for me.

Those days when I got

to be by your side,

I am contented with it.

Wengu.

Duanmu.

How did we

end up like this?

I wish we can go back

to the way we used to be.

Wengu.

Wengu.

I've recovered!

I've recovered!

I've recovered!

I've recovered!

This is divine rain!

I've recovered!

This is the rain of antidote.

The mortal world is saved.

Thank you, Doctor Zhang!

Thank you, Doctor Zhang!

Madam is awake.

-Madam. -Madam.

Here.

Are you looking for a beating?

My wife is awake.

Who are you calling your wife?

Here.

You said it yourself.

I heard it with my own ears.

If you deny it,

I am going to...

You are going to?

I am going to beat the drum outside the prefecture

and accuse you for dumping me after you seduce me.

The demon poison has been removed.

Why is he still unconscious?

The aura of death still remains,

the root of the problem hasn't been resolved.

Even though you have managed to suppress the aura of death for now,

but if you don't eliminate the root of it,

once the aura intensifies,

Qifeng Prefecture,

and possibly the entire Three Realms could fall apart.

Godfather,

what do you mean?

Duanmu.

Have you ever wondered about

the cause of this aura of death?

Brother has told me that

it was transmuted from those grudges

before I was granted divinity.

It all started

when Gu Chang died in the battle at Chong City.

The battle of Chong City

wasn't supposed to end tragically.

Gu Chang took a risk to attack Chong City for you.

Countless spirits of those who died unjustly still linger.

Countless soldiers were resentful.

Duanmu.

Do you hear their cries now?

It's all because of you!

It's all because of you!

Because of you!

Help!

Spirits of those who died

1,000 years ago are still restless.

They are still wailing

and still crying.

Are you

still going to do nothing about it?

Godfather,

I...

But we still have a chance to save them.

Godfather.

Are you talking about Abyss?

Yes.

Abyss is a parallel world.

The flow of time in there is not the same as in the present world.

You can still do something

to console those souls right now.

Duanmu.

Only you can open the Abyss.

And only you can

console spirits of those who died tragically.

Godfather.

You are asking me to open the Abyss

and go inside

to console those spirits.

How can I do that?

Godfather.

Just tell me.

No matter how hard it is,

I have to try.

You have to find out

the deepest obsession of

those soldiers who died so tragically

in order to reduce their resentment,

to let them move on.

Only by reminding them of

the kindness and love they used to have

can you get rid of the aura of death.

Duanmu,

the safety of the Three Realms

rests on your shoulders alone.

I am not afraid of the danger.

It's just that once I leave,

Zhan Yan...

Foolish!

Is your own romance

more important than the survival of the world?

Back then,

Gu Chang died because of me.

Those soldiers died because of me.

Their resentment and misery

are all because of me.

As long as I can let them rest in peace,

as long as I can resolve the aura of death,

I will do anything.

It is all my fault.

It is my responsibility to fix it.

After I leave,

he will wake up.

Remember to tell him these words.

Chong City

The fate of three races changed

after the battle of Chong City 1,000 years ago.

With the gate of Chong City as the entrance

and blood of the Divine Maiden as the guide,

you will be able to go back to the past.

Go back in time before Gu Chang died.

1,000 years ago,

you gave your divinity to me.

You let me live for 1,000 years.

I have lived long enough.

And now, it's time to put an end to this.

You care about all mortals.

I have no worries on leaving Qifeng to you.

I am just worried that Zhan Yan will...

Zhan Yan will be fine.

Don't worry.

I believe you.

Everything will be fine.

Godfather,

take care.

Zhan Yan,

I need to open the Abyss.

I am doing it for Gu Chang.

I am going back to the past.

Stop holding on to the false hope.

Go back to Qifeng.

Forget me.

Nothing I do

can make you stay, is it?

Duanmu.

You have left all these most important things

to me.

Bring me to Duanmu!

Duanmu,

wherever you are going,

I am going with you.

What happened between you and I are just a misunderstanding.

The Abyss is my fate.

Duanmu, don't go!

Let go of me!

Duanmu!

Let go of me!

Let go!

Duanmu!

Zhan Yan.

This is Duanmu's trial.

You can't go!

Godfather,

it's danger in the Abyss.

I can't leave Duanmu alone in there!

Zhan Yan!

You don't belong in the Abyss.

If you fail to bring back Duanmu,

you could be devoured by the Abyss.

Listen,

you are the head sheriff of Qifeng City.

People in the city depends on you to keep them safe.

So are your godmother

and Shangguan Ce.

They can't afford to lose you!

You can't leave!

Over the past 20 years,

I have given my all for Qifeng,

for the civilians

and everyone.

I didn't dare to make any mistake.

I didn't dare to slack off even for once.

I have a clear conscience about Qifeng.

But now,

I just want to live the rest of my life be worthy of Duanmu's love.

Godfather,

forgive me for being unfilial.

Please let me go!

Yan'er.

Why are you being so stubborn?

Duanmu,

wait for me!

Duanmu.

Zhan Yan?

What are you doing here?

Qifeng needs you.

Duanmu,

from now on,

I am no longer Lord Zhan.

I am just your Zhan Yan.

I want to be selfish for once,

just for you.

Duanmu!

Zhan Yan! Zhan Yan!

Duanmu!

Zhan Yan!

Zhan Yan!

Duanmu!

Zhan Yan!

Duanmu!

Zhan Yan!

Duanmu!

Duanmu!

Duanmu!

Zhan Yan!

Zhan Yan!

1,000 years ago

General,

you are awake.

Mi,

I had a long dream.

But I don't remember anything from the dream after I woke up.

I just feel pain in my heart.

Maybe it's a sign that you're overworked

since the war has become more intense.

This is weird.

I feel like I haven't seen you in a long time.

Why would you feel that?

I have been by your side,

I didn't go anywhere.

General!

General,

General Yang Jian has sent you a secret report,

saying that General Gu Chang is going to attack Anyi City tonight.

Get me my horse!

Yes, General!

Could this be a thousand years ago?

Duanmu,

so this is the place

where you would do anything to come back to?

Where are you

right now?

Duanmu.

Duanmu!

Duanmu!

Sister,

what's wrong?

I think I heard someone calling me.

Sister,

we are getting closer to Anyi.

The demons are full of tricks,

I'm afraid it could be a trap.

We should just get on with the journey.

You are right, Brother.

But I've been so distracted,

I feel like something has gone wrong.

You are just worried about Gu Chang.

I think you are overthinking this.

Gu Chang may be a bold man,

but he is meticulous.

He won't fight a battle he can't win.

I know.

But Lord of Anyi, Fei Zhong, is a very cunning man,

Gu Chang brought only an elite force with him tonight.

I fear that something could go wrong.

How about this?

We will play it by ear after we meet up with Gu Chang.

Duanmu!

Gu Chang,

you have fallen for my trap at last.

All these years,

we have been evenly matched in the battlefield.

Death will come to you today.

Gu Chang?

Well done.

You responded fast.

I see you haven't been slacking off with your training.

Shouldn't you be at the back?

What are you doing here?

Do you know that

if I hadn't taken down Fei Zhong first,

your sudden appearance

could have ruined my whole plan?

Yang Jian and I took the hidden path.

We were very discreet.

No one would notice us.

With just the two of you, all the more reason you shouldn't come.

If something did happen here,

would you two be able to stop it?

Duanmu,

you have always acted prudently.

Why are you so reckless today?

I have left soldiers standing by three li away,

I would send a signal if anything goes wrong,

and they will come to help us.

Gu Chang,

I am not reckless as you said.

That's still not the reason for you

to come here without permission.

It is a bounden duty for a soldier to obey orders in war.

Duanmu, you have fought many battles,

you should know better.

Why should she obey

your order and arrangement?

Don't you forget that

she is the commander of Duanmu Brigade.

You and she are peers.

Besides,

my sister endangered herself to come to your aid

because she was worried about you.

It's fine that you don't appreciate it,

but you actually got a nerve to blame her in front of me.

Come on, Gu Chang.

It's been a while since I had fought a duel with you.

Brother.

It's true that Duanmu is a commander,

but she is also my fiancée.

I only said that because I want her to stay safe.

Alright, enough with this.

Tell us about the situation.

From the looks of things,

you've already engaged in a battle.

What is this?

You killed Fei Zhong?

Retreat!

You are despicable.

It's you who are despicable.

You tried to lure me here with the false information

of the change of guards in Anyi.

So, I lured you out of the city with the information of my small force.

You can consider it a return of courtesy.

You thought I brought only a small force with me,

because I had wanted to claim all the credit myself,

so you wanted to kill me personally to take credit.

But there is one thing you forgot.

You and I have fought each other many times,

I know you too well.

Unscrupulous!

I only won this battle

because of Fei Zhong's ego.

He thought I was coming alone,

so he didn't spy around before he left his city to attack me.

If he had really seen you two just now,

he might not fall for the bait.

So Duanmu,

you must obey military orders

in war in future.

Never take decisions of your own.

Have you ever thought that

war is full of changeability.

If something goes wrong,

how are you going to get out of it without backup?

Yang Jian and I rushed over

to ensure that nothing goes wrong.

If we have divergent views,

we should discuss about it before making a decision.

Duanmu,

that day in Mian City,

because of misinformation,

Duanmu Brigade had to pin down

50,000 enemy troops with just 3,000 soldiers,

and you ended up suffering heavy losses.

I know that

you haven't been able to move past that.

But you shouldn't let yourself

be overtaken by misgivings and fear

because of what happened.

Nor let it affect your judgement.

Gu Chang.

Knock it off.

Gu Chang.

Congratulations on killing Fei Zhong.

You have made another achievement.

I should let you celebrate your victory.

Duanmu.

Yang Jian, are you crazy?

You are the one who's crazy.

Why did you bring up

the battle of Mian City in front of her?

Do you know

you were stabbing her heart with a knife?

How can there be no casualties in war?

If you and I are worried about losing soldiers,

we should not be fighting in war.

And my woman

should not be soft.

You are not married yet.

Mind your own business!

You lost in every battle,

and you lost two cities in a row.

Yet a loser like you

still have the audacity to return to Chong City!

Your Majesty,

those generals of human race are full of tricks.

He admitted inferiority

and complimented the enemy.

No point letting such loser

who can't ease your burden live, Father.

Father,

the strongest ones rule the world.

We are gifted with

extraordinary power

and strong body.

We Demon Clan are the chosen race.

Human race is supposed to listen to our orders.

It is not difficult to deal with

powerless human race.

They belittle each other

and compete with each other secretly.

It's a chance for us to gather our forces to counter-attack.

Do you have a plan?

I have already made a plan.

Your Majesty.

What is it?

Your Majesty.

Lord of Anyi, Fei Zhong, was defeated and dead.

What?

Who killed Fei Zhong?

Did we lose Anyi City?

Fei Zhong was killed by Gu Chang, the general of human race.

Fortunately, the soldiers who were involved in the battle reacted quickly.

They returned to the city and closed the city gate in time.

Human race has insufficient soldiers,

they didn't continue to attack the city.

Anyi City is safe.

If Anyi City falls,

Chong City will be in jeopardy.

Which of you is willing to lead troop

to Anyi and defend the city?

What a bunch of losers!

You are chickening out at critical time like this.

If the human race breaks through,

all of you losers

are going back to the Ninth Hell

and live your life in the darkness!

Father,

I am willing to lead troop

to protect Anyi

and Chong City.

You can save Anyi?

For Father, for the Demon Clan,

I will do

anything.

Good.

I shall give you the opportunity

to prove yourself.

You will show these losers what you are capable of.

Show them the military prowess of the Demon Clan.

I will do my best

and return triumphant.

Good drinker!

You can drink a lot!

Here!

Here, another cup!

You got it!

General Gu Chang.

That's enough.

Don't drink too much.

Eat some dishes.

Here, try a piece of meat.

General Duanmu,

congratulations.

Are you drunk, General Gao?

We are celebrating General Gu Chang's victory today.

You are engaged with General Gu Chang since childhood.

You two are going to be family soon.

You share everything together.

Speaking of which,

I really envy you, General Duanmu.

You have such an awesome fiancée.

Even the girls under you

can share the credit.

This is called

to ride on somebody else's success.

Gao Bo Jian,

what nonsense are you talking about?

General Yang,

I am a vulgarian,

I haven't had much education.

I misspoke,

this should be called

a wife shares her husband's success.

It's a shame that I am not a woman.

Such good thing won't happen to me.

We can

rely only on our real ability!

That's right!

Here, cheers!

General Gao, if you want to be a woman,

I don't mind helping you out.
