And when he came back into civilization,

he was acclaimed as one of
the foremost figures in American art.

A federal judge sentenced them each
to seven years in a federal prison

after the four plotted for months to steal

millions of dollars' worth
of manuscripts and sketches

from Transylvania University's
special collections.

he just made the whole thing up.

to take my word for it.

There was a version of the story
that I wanted to believe,

and that I chose to believe.

But the pain that I caused,

were never worth the adventure
that we felt at the time, or the...

the change in our life
that we were craving.

They did not want to work

They didn't want to help other people

I find them all very selfish.

And I see they all have trouble
