How does self hypnosis work?
Most of us undergo different states of consciousness and moods.
Right through the day.
In one instant, we feel happy and ecstatic.
And the next moment for no explicable reason.
We feel sad and depressed.
For example, on any given day, suppose you are feeling great and happy with everything.
Now, a call comes from your broker telling you that the stocks you bought have crashed and you have
lost a considerable amount of money.
Your mood and thoughts undergo drastic changes immediately.
Now, suppose after a little while you get another call saying you won a big lottery again, your mood
undergo significant changes from sadness and depression to happiness and joy.
Each of these moves is actually little pockets of hypnosis and therefore there is no one hypnotic state
to reach unless you have achieved enlightenment like the Buddha.
No physical change has come over you during any of these changing moods.
Only your mental image.
About the world and yourself have altered.
People in a hypnotic, receptive trance can get a rash if it is suggested to them that they have touched
poison ivy.
People in a hypnotic trance can shiver if it is suggested to them.
They are standing naked in the cold outside.
How does this happen?
Because there is a direct link between the mental images formed in your mind and their effects on your
body using this body mind connection.
You can use self hypnosis to improve the quality of life or bring about other positive changes.
