[The Princess Weiyoung]

[Episode 49]

Your Highness, someone delivered this letter.

It's addressed to you.

[Dear cousin, Since my departure, no one has heard from me.]

[I'm on a farm outside of the city.]

[I've missed you greatly. Do come to see me for old time's sake. Chang Ru.]

Who are you?

Li Chang Ru.

It really is you.

You're really still alive.

I loved him so much.

I was willing to do anything for him.

But what did I get in return?

All I got was lies.

Lies...

Lies!

Did I scare you?

You should have been the happiest married couple.

But then because of a remnant of Northern Liang...

Chang Le, don't you wish to win your husband back?

What are you laughing about?

All this time, in order to win him over...

I've already done so much.

I stained my hands with blood.

Do I like to kill people?

But I did it without any hesitation because of him.

I have been haunted by nightmares every night

just so that he would care for me.

What else should I do?

What else can I do?

Are you going to give him up?

It's not giving up.

I'm going to destroy him.

What I can't have...

What I can never have...

I will destroy him!

If I can't have him

then no one will!

You're going to take down Prince of Gaoyang?

Why not?

He deceived me.

He used me.

He trod on my dignity.

Am I to become like you?

Fawn and beg a man for some pity?

Li Chang Ru.

I despise you.

Look at you.

Just for a man, you stooped so low that you're almost like dirt.

Even when abandoned

you still devoted yourself to plotting schemes for him.

Do you think you can change his mind by doing so?

He won't care for you.

That's because you've degraded yourself.

I am Li Chang Le.

I won't ever degrade myself.

The man I can't have...

I will ruin him!

If I can't have him, no one should even dream of having him.

This is the last of my dignity.

Your Highness.

Do you really mean what you said to Miss Chang Ru?

Did I look like I was joking?

Under these circumstances, what else can you do?

Heed my advice.

Bear with it first...

Another word from you and I will take your life right away.

Whatever I wish to do

I will have done.

Tuoba Jun...

Li Wei Young...

Neither of you can get away from me.

Miss Chang Le looked so frightening.

Young Mistress.

Young Mistress?

You don't have to take Miss Chang Le's words seriously.

The Chiyun family has already fallen.

What else can she do?

She will eventually have to suffer if she keeps up with it.

Perhaps she was right.

I love His Highness too much.

I humbled myself too much before him.

Whatever he did, I never had the heart to reproach him.

My love was too easy.

That was why he never cherished it.

Perhaps it is like what everyone says.

The harder a woman is to get, the more obsessed men are with her.

Li Wei Young won't even spare him a smile.

Yet he keeps thinking about her.

It isn't that I don't know about playing hard to get.

I just can't help it.

I can't bear to act that way.

Because I love him more than Li Wei Young does.

Greetings to Your Highness.

You still have a trick or two?

You can still contact Li Chang Le?

What exactly are you up to?

Whatever I have in mind

I would never hurt you.

No other woman loves Your Highness as much as I do.

But you never cherished me.

Li Chang Ru.

Could you not make yourself sound so great in the name of love?

If you really are that wonderful

why would you keep harming the woman I like?

The woman you like?

Your Highness, you know nothing about love.

Love can't be shared.

Could you give Li Wei Young and Tuoba Jun your blessing?

Of course not.

I am not a good man.

I don't know what love is either.

All I know is that I will always get what I want.

Whatever the price.

Pack your mistress's belongings.

What are you going to do?

I won't ever allow you to get in touch with anyone else.

I actually contacted Li Chang Le so I could help you.

Help me?

My unintentional gesture brought forth an possible chance.

The spark I planted between Li Chang Le and Tuoba Jun

has already been set ablaze.

If Li Chang Le sets her mind on going against Tuoba Jun

she will be the best pawn to use against him.

Master.

Do you still regard me as your master?

You saved my life.

I will surely serve you faithfully.

Did I do very well at the task at Minister of the Imperial Clan's Manor?

Chiyun Nan.

Don't play tricks with me.

Do you think that I can't tell your intention of framing the people of Liang?

A high official of the imperial court's household was massacred.

If we don't find a scapegoat to close this case

His Majesty might follow the leads and investigate all the way to you.

You're doing this for your advantage--

Exactly!

I am targeting Li Wei Young.

If it hadn't been for her

how would I have ended up in this predicament?

You should know that I swore to kill her.

I find it strange.

Why would you keep protecting her?

This isn't the time to tackle Li Wei Young yet.

When then?

After she becomes yours?

You like her. Did you really think that I wouldn't notice it?

Don't forget that all she cares about is Tuoba Jun!

If you keep that woman with you, you're seeking your own doom!

Chiyun Nan.

If you wish to increase your status to what it once was

it's best for you not to defy me.

You are in no place to negotiate any terms with me now.

The world will soon be mine.

Who are you to decide what woman I can have?

I understand.

Have you searched carefully to see if that account record

really is in Minister of the Imperial Clan's Manor?

I've cleared all evidence in the manor.

If we can't find it, neither will Tuoba Jun.

- You are dismissed. - Yes.

Hold it.

Go and meet Li Chang Le when you can.

She might be useful to our plans.

Your Highness.

Although Chiyun Nan now serves under you

he was once a general who lead thousands of men.

I suspect that he won't be tamed so easily.

Chiyun Nan is just like a beast.

Although a tamed beast will still flash its claws to attack its master

as his master, I know about his weakness

and once I grab on to that, any resistance would be in vain.

In the end, the beast will still succumb to the master's whip.

Fortunately, your men discovered that

Tuoba Jun is investigating Crown Prince Jing Mu's death.

If he finds that account record, we will be in trouble.

It was Your Highness's insight that led me to this discovery.

We took down Crown Prince with a fake account record.

Although the witness was silenced in time

who knew that he would leave a real record behind?

We did not expect this record to fall into

Minister of the Imperial Clan's hands.

Minister of the Imperial Clan and Crown Prince weren't friends.

Who would have thought that he would have that record?

If he weren't so timid and cowardly

that he didn't make this matter known to anyone

could we have survived until now?

This all the more indicates that Your Highness is the chosen ruler.

That's why the gods had you discover

the minister's secret at such a crucial moment.

If Father learns that I'm the true culprit

behind Crown Prince Jing Mu's death

he would never spare me

let alone hand me the throne.

Although I've risen greatly in power

I don't have the confidence to influence Father.

Therefore, we still can't let our guards down yet.

Tuoba Jun and Li Wei Young won't give up so easily.

So what if they don't?

We have already wiped out all traces in the manor.

They will never find that account record.

[Crown Prince's Manor]

Who are you?

Why do you have the secret order of the Chiyun family's killer warriors?

General?

General.

It really is you!

It really is you!

I know that you could never have died!

Greetings to General!

Hong Luo.

Aren't you curious about how I ended up like this?

The killer warriors' code.

"No questions, just execute orders."

Very good.

You are indeed the most outstanding killer warrior of the Chiyun family.

How do I look?

You seem just a bit frail, but you look energetic.

Good.

I hope that Wei Young won't notice.

Min De?

Wei Young.

Min De!

- Come here. - Don't move me.

Don't touch me.

In just a few days, your wounds are already healed?

It's just that you seem to have lost quite a lot of weight.

Have I?

I was afraid that you'd be worried

so I came here to let you take a good look at me.

Moreover, I've heard about the massacre in Minister of the Imperial Clan’s Manor.

Look at you. You got yourself in trouble when I was just away for a while.

This woman really does make people worried all the time.

Did you hear what you just said?

Others would have thought that you're my older brother!

What is it now?

It's just been a few days and you forgot your manners?

You're walking all over me?

Could you not make me look bad?

I'm now after all a prince.

I'm so scared, Your Highness.

So what if you're a prince?

Even if you're a prince, you're still my baby brother!

I'd still hit you even if you were the king. What now?

I can't hit you? I'll hit you!

Min De!

Min De?

She's addressing you so intimately?

Both of you...

Don't make wild guesses.

I'll talk to you later.

Min De!

What are you doing here?

What's wrong?

Isn't that Wei Young?

Come with me.

That's a weight off my shoulders now.

Slow down!

What is the matter?

Why won't you let me talk to Wei Young?

You keep calling Min...

Why do you keep yelling "Min De, Min De" so loudly?

Someone might hear me?

Then I insist on doing it.

Min De! Min De!

I'm sorry.

Silly.

I need to attend to some matters.

Where are you going?

Someone has framed the people of Liang for the massacre to set Wei Young up.

I have to look for clues.

- I'll come with you! - The crime scene is a mess.

You'd better wait here in the palace for my news.

The crime scene is a total mess.

One more pair of eyes should be helpful.

Emerald bangles!

Come and have a look!

Young lady, are there any that you like?

Good taste.

This is a most exquisitely crafted item.

You can buy it if you like it.

I'll take it.

- How much is it? - Two mace of fine silver.

Thank you, Young Master.

Take care.

What fine things haven't you seen before?

It's just a bangle. Do you like it that much?

It's the most special to me.

Li Min De, thank you.

This is the best gift I've ever had.

I'll cherish it all my life.

Compared to your affection for me

this bangle is nothing much.

I will never forget about your affection for me.

Let's go. We have to get to Minister of the Imperial Clan’s Manor.

[Minister of the Imperial Clan’s Manor]

Brother Yu!

What brings you here as well?

I'm also one of the investigators.

Di, you are quite the busybody.

How am I a busybody?

Wei Young is my friend.

As for that previous incident, I didn't have a choice.

Don't hold it against me?

I surely won't hold it against my sister.

Heed my advice. Look out for yourself.

It seems that the prince has recovered.

Thank you for your concern.

Here's another piece of advice.

Return to Rouran soon.

Until the trading treaty is signed, I won't leave Great Wei.

Let's go in then.

We're all on the same page here.

I don't want Wei Young to get into any trouble.

I also wish to find the true culprit soon.

Why has Brother Yu become even weirder?

Li Min De, let's go.

It's so dirty and messy in here.

You really shouldn't be here.

You said so yourself. The more help, the better.

I also want to help Wei Young.

I have to look after you as well.

I know that, but Your Highness is too delicate for this.

It's best for you not to touch anything.

Your wounds just healed.

The doctor also said that you have to recuperate.

You can't lift heavy items.

All right.

This is the second time...

Let's keep searching.

You already looked over there.

Let's search more carefully again.

We might discover something else.

What are you doing?

Nothing much.

I'm going to look for Tuoba Jun.

Wei Young!

- Wei Young! - Wei Young!

- Wei Young! - Wei Young!

Tuoba Jun, I'm here!

Open the door quickly!

I'll try to open the door from outside!

How are you doing in there?

There are many boxes with scrolls!

Wei Young, are you all right?

- Wei Young! - Wei Young!

Be careful in there!

Wei Young!

Split up to look for the mechanism.

What are you doing?

What is it that you're hiding?

Show it to me.

Are you all right?

Come quickly!

Tuoba Jun! Open the door!

Open the door quickly!

Your Highness! Watch out!

What should we do? What should we do now?

Go and find another mechanism!

Your Highness, let it go now.

If not, your arm will break!

Wei Young is in danger!

I can't let go of the chain!

Tuoba Jun!

Tuoba Jun!

Tuoba Jun, open the door quickly!

Tuoba Jun!

You're bleeding.

Are you all right?

You care about me?

Why are you saving me?

It's because...

You're the only woman worth saving.

I only care about Tuoba Jun.

I only care about you.

Wei Young.

You mustn't shy away from me.

It's my greatest joy... to be able to die alongside you.

Your Highness, hurry up!

We can't hold this off much longer!

I found a secret compartment, but there are two chains in it!

Whichever!

Hurry up!

Whatever! It's a life for a life then.

Li Min De, I must marry you!

It worked!

Li Min De! I'm going to marry you!

Why doesn't this door open?

Wei Young! The secret mechanism stopped!

We can get you out soon!

Tuoba Yu!

Hang in there!

Tuoba Jun.

- Wei Young, are you all right? - Brother Yu!

Wei Young, you must have been so scared.

Tuoba Jun, what happened to your hand?

I'm all right.

Uncle, are you all right?

I'm fine.

Come here quickly!

Look.

There's an account record.

Take a look.

Is this the account record we're looking for?

There are still many of them.

Carry all of them out.

Have you brought them all out?

- They are all here. - Step down.

Yes.

Prince of Gaoyang, we have already escorted Ninth Princess

Imperial Attendant Li, and Prince Yuan Lie back.

Transport these boxes to Metropolitan Prefecture.

Yes.

- Watch out, Your Highness! - Put out the fire!

- Watch out, Your Highness! - Protect the princes!

Protect the account records!

Where did those masked men come from?

It's so frustrating!

We finally found some clues, and now they are gone again!

The question is, how did they know that we found them

and even showed up so quickly?

Someone must have told them.

Of course, they could have been keeping an eye on the manor.

That was how they knew so quickly.

This is getting even more mysterious now.

What we can confirm now is...

Those people are related to the death of the minister.

All along, we've only focused on the manor.

We've overlooked the other lead.

What is it?

Didn't I tell you that the informant who asked me to meet up

for the account record failed to show up on the night of the massacre?

I can't help but think that they are related somehow.

The actions of those masked men have all the more confirmed my suspicion.

I think that the culprit is related to my father's case.

Are you able to track down that informant?

I've sent Cheng De to investigate it.

Hopefully, we'll find some clues.

Your Highness, an old friend would like to see you.

An old friend?

[Cousin, congratulations on getting what you wished for.]

General, she's here.

Cousin Nan...

You're still alive?

Chiyun Nan won't die so easily.

I still have to seek revenge!

- Li Wei Young... - Exactly.

It is Li Wei Young.

I won't allow her to stay alive.

In addition

there are also those who came after me and took away my military power.

His Majesty?

You...

You're going to seek revenge on His Majesty? How could you do that?

I'll help Prince of Nan-An to take the throne.

That is the best revenge I can take on him.

You have sided with Prince of Nan-An?

He saved my life.

But... Can we trust him?

According to what I know, he's very fond of Li Wei Young.

If she finds out that you're still alive

she will surely try to harm you.

My only goal in life now is to restore the Chiyun family to its former glory.

Apart from depending on Prince of Nan-An, there is no other way.

I will surely assist you in fulfilling your wish.

But you're now Tuoba Jun's wife.

Are you really going to do so?

Why should I remain loyal to someone who never once treated me as his wife?

Your wish is to restore the Chiyun family to its former glory.

And as for mine...

I wish to assist his enemy in destroying him completely.

Cheng De, how long do we have to keep waiting?

The person who sent me information always leaves it in the same spot.

His Highness had me contact this person in secret

so I always come here every day to take a look.

Let's wait patiently for a while longer.

There's new information. Go.

They have asked to see us.

Let's inform my mistress.

Jun Tao, wait over there for me.

I'll go and look for them.

What took you so long? Let's get going.

Here!

- What is it? - It's for you.

Take it!

I kept thinking that it suits you really well.

Here, I'll put them on for you.

Why don't you have any ear piercings?

How could a woman not have her ears pierced?

So what if I don't?

Is that against the law?

You don't have one either!

You don't have your ears pierced and you still bullied me?

That cost me a few months' wages.

Are you still a woman?

Your Highness!

Your Highness.

There's new information.

That person asked me to go to the forest tomorrow.

Go there alone and bring them back.

That is our only lead now. Nothing must go wrong again.

Yes!

Those masked men come out of nowhere.

We don't know who they are either. You have to be more alert.

Don't worry, Your Highness. I have a skilled warrior to help me.

Look at how happy you are.

Go on.

I'm here to see you on business.

Don't assume that I've forgiven you.

My ears still hurt.

What are you doing?

What on earth...

Jun Tao!

Jun Tao.

Jun Tao, you look so pretty in these earrings.

- You're like a fairy... - What are you talking about?

What are you doing?

You took my token of love, so now you're mine!

What token of love?

I'll draw my sword!

Please don't...

Jun Tao.

Are you still going to kick me?

Why isn't anyone here yet?

Could there be any changes?

I am here to keep our appointment!

Could you show yourself?

Sir, how have you been?

Why were you absent that night?

You kept His Highness waiting all night.

I didn't mean to miss the appointment.

That day, after I left you the letter, I was held up by some people.

I thought that they were just some common thieves

so I tried to scare them off with Minister of the Imperial Clan's title.

Who knew that those ruthless men would want to take my life?

I had to feign my death to escape unscathed.

When I returned to the manor

my master and everyone in the manor were dead.

I got Master and his household in trouble!

It seems that the minister does have the account record.

The minister once said that the account record

is related to the death of Crown Prince Jing Mu.

It must be handed over to Prince of Gaoyang.

Where is the account record now?

Sir, this...

The minister gave it to me.

He said...

When you get the chance, slip away.

You must pass on the message to His Highness.

We have to leave together.

No one is leaving!

Kill them!

Who on earth are you?

Ask the god of the netherworld when you get there.

We know that the massacre is related to Crown Prince Jing Mu's death!

Sooner or later, we will find out who you are!

By then, not even 10 masks can shield you!

If so, I will just have you all killed!

Jun Tao!

Cheng De!
