[The Princess Weiyoung]

[Episode 34]

Second Young Mistress.

Jun Tao, where are you rushing off to?

How long ago did Wei Young leave?

Wei Young is really...

- Cheng De, let's go. - Yes!

[Crown Prince's Manor]

[Crown Prince's Manor]

Your Highness.

Princess Anping is here.

Wei Young is here?

- Invite her in quickly. - Yes.

Qiu Yi, bring some emerald accessories.

Yes.

Come, leave them here.

Your Highness, these are from your dowry.

You are...

She is my future daughter-in-law.

If the gift isn't good enough, I'd be embarrassed.

Greetings to Your Highness.

Don't stand on ceremony.

Come and sit next to me.

Your Highness, this is the spot.

Why isn't Wei Young here?

Did we get the location wrong?

It couldn't be. There's only this tree in sight.

Let's split up and search nearby.

Yes.

Have a look.

Do you like them?

These are from Her Highness's dowry. They are priceless.

Don't assume that you can definitely become my daughter-in-law

just because of this gift.

I will surely take these accessories back

if I'm not pleased with you in the future.

Wei Young, what is the matter?

That wasn't what I truly meant.

How could I dislike you?

Jun likes you so much. I wouldn't dislike you.

Your Highness, I'm actually here to talk to you about something.

What is it?

There's some bird nest congee in the kitchen.

I'll bring some over.

Go on. Quickly.

Wei Young.

What is it?

You...

What I wanted to say was...

I'm sorry.

Why?

Why?

Don't blame me.

I have no other choice.

If I don't kill you, I can't get what I want!

Jun...

Jun likes you so much...

What good is that?

He never mattered to me!

If he wasn't somehow useful to me, I never would have cared about him!

Wench! Slut!

Wench!

You...

Wench! Jun...

Your Highness!

Your Highness! What happened?

Anyone? Anyone there?

- Your Highness... - Li Wei Young...

Li Wei Young...

Li Wei Young attacked Your Highness?

She has been using Jun and deceiving him...

Your Highness, don't say another word.

- Your Highness! - What happened?

Don't just kneel there!

Summon the imperial physician!

- Yes! - Bring the prince home as well!

- Yes! - Go now!

Your Highness, the prince will be home soon.

Jun...

Your Highness!

Her Highness was attacked!

- What? - Her Highness was stabbed

and wounded severely.

Take a look right away, Your Highness!

Your Highness!

Your Highness...

His Highness is here!

His Highness is home!

Jun!

Mother! What happened?

Listen...

You mustn't trust Li Wei Young.

She has been using you and lying to you all along.

She is after something.

That was why she attacked me.

That can't be.

How is that possible?

My poor child...

How devastated you would be...

I...

I really hate her so much...

Leave now!

Leave Ping City!

Leave this place!

Go and live the life you wished for. Go!

Don't blame yourself...

The only one I worry about is...

Jun...

Your Highness!

Your Highness!

Mother... Mother?

Mother...

What is going on?

What exactly is going on?

It was Li Wei Young.

Li Wei Young attacked Her Highness!

Nonsense!

My young mistress would never do that!

Your young mistress has the heart of a demon!

You can't be any good either!

That can't be...

That's impossible...

Bring Li Wei Young here.

I need to ask her about this.

It can't be...

My young mistress would never do this!

There must be a mistake!

- Arrest her. - Stop right there!

No one is to stop me from leaving.

Neither can you!

You can't leave.

Mother...

We made a promise.

We're going to leave Ping City together.

We're going to a place without conspiracies and bloodshed.

You're going to be the grandmother of my children.

Why would this happen?

Why would this happen?

Where... Where is the imperial physician?

Mother...

Step aside! Round her up!

What are you doing?

Prince of Gaoyang ordered to have you arrested!

Young Mistress.

Crown Princess Consort...

Stop right there!

Does this hairpin belong to you?

It is mine.

But...

But...

What exactly...

What exactly happened?

Young Mistress, they said that you killed Crown Princess Consort.

I didn't!

You couldn't possibly believe that.

Wei Young...

Please prove to me that you're innocent.

Please?

I don't want to believe any of this.

It was you!

Her Highness said it.

You stabbed that hairpin into her heart!

Her Highness regarded you as her daughter-in-law.

How could you be so ruthless?

It wasn't me!

I wasn't here today! I didn't do this!

You're lying!

I'm lying?

Everyone in the manor saw you come in here.

Could we all be lying?

Would Her Highness lie about you as well?

That was the bird nest congee I spilled on you when you fled!

The broken bowls are still out there.

If it wasn't you, how could you have this stain?

How dare you talk your way out of it?

Someone poured this on me accidentally on my way here.

Could there be such a coincidence?

Do you think that you could deceive His Highness?

I know that you must be very upset now.

But could you please think it over carefully?

Why would I do this?

Why would I have to do this?

This must be some sort of a conspiracy.

Someone wants to set me up.

Did you manage to get the report?

I was coming here to tell you about it.

I asked Jun Tao to bring you the map.

Young Mistress.

We found the woods on the map, but we didn't see you there.

I received another letter in the woods.

I was instructed to go to an Earth God Shrine in the east.

Where is the letter?

I might have dropped it in a hurry.

You could search my room for the letter that told me to pick up the report.

You will know that I'm not lying once you read that letter.

Could you come with me?

I can definitely prove to you that I'm innocent.

Tuoba Jun...

All right.

I'll go with you.

- Young Mistress. - Bring me the box.

Yes.

Where is the key?

It's here.

Open it.

"Kill Crown Princess Consort and you can get the report."

That isn't the letter.

"If you choose to accept this offer"

"tie a red flag at the highest point in your manor."

Tuoba Jun...

Let go of me!

Tuoba Jun! I'm so confused right now.

I don't know what happened.

Give me some time.

I will surely prove to you that I'm innocent.

That's not necessary.

Let me tell you what exactly happened.

You're the princess of Northern Liang.

What matters the most to you

is seeking revenge for the innocent lives that were taken.

Therefore, the report is the most important thing to you.

That's not true.

You hate Great Wei.

You hate my grandfather.

You hate me.

You never truly loved me.

My love for you is true.

I have always been true to you!

To you, I'm nothing but a fool who is infatuated with you.

You despise me deep down in your heart.

You never were in love with me.

You had wanted to carry out your plan at the Hunting Grounds Banquet.

However, you failed to do so in a moment of anxiety.

Uncle Ming died and the report was gone.

Your identity was exposed and Chiyun Nan came after you

so you thought of me! That's because only a fool like me would help you!

It isn't so.

In the end, once you got the clue to finding the report

it was impossible for you to give it up.

So you told Jun Tao to lure me away while you...

You...

You then killed my mother in exchange for the report.

Let go of me!

No!

What now?

Do you still think that you can hold on to this now?

- Tuoba Jun! - Don't!

What matters to you...

It's still this report that matters to you.

How could Your Highness think that about my mistress?

If she hadn't risked her life, you would have been dead by now!

If she hadn't done so

how could she possibly have my and my mother's absolute trust?

How could she then approach my mother so easily?

But Young Mistress is...

It's enough, Jun Tao.

Nothing you say can convince him.

Tuoba Jun...

Do you really think that I've been deceiving you all this time?

Did I really kill your mother?

All that we had between us...

Was that all just a pretense?

Don't dream of fooling me again.

I won't believe you anymore.

By His Majesty's oral decree

Li Wei Young is charged with the murder of Crown Princess Consort.

She's to be detained in Imperial Dungeon.

Yes, sir.

- Young Mistress! - Jun Tao!

- Young Mistress! - Jun Tao!

What is going on?

Why are you taking Wei Young away?

Wei Young!

What... What happened?

This is...

Wei Young!

What happened?

What exactly happened?

[Imperial Dungeon]

He didn't believe me.

He wouldn't hear me out.

Tuoba Jun... Crown Princess Consort...

Why?

Tuoba Jun, didn't you say that

you'd always believe me no matter what happens?

How could I blame him?

His mother died because of me.

He must be in such agony and sorrow.

Tuoba Jun... I still end up getting you involved.

- Open the door. - Yes.

- Li Wei Young. - Princess.

- Wei Young. - Min De.

Li Wei Young, neither of us believe that you'd kill Crown Princess Consort.

However, the one person who should all the more believe you didn't.

You can't blame Jun.

Jun has always been very close to his parents.

He simply couldn't bear to take such a blow to the heart.

It's understandable that he acted so irrationally.

I understand that.

He's in great agony now.

How could I blame him?

Your Highness, please stay by his side during this period of time.

He just recovered from his injuries

and now, he's going through such overwhelming grief.

I'm worried that he can't endure it.

I will. Don't worry.

Jun can tell right from wrong.

He will eventually figure out the truth.

Wei Young...

You must have suffered.

How could she not?

Look at this place! It's so dirty and smelly!

There's dirt on your hands already.

Wei Young, bear with it for a while longer.

I will surely get you out of here.

- Wei Young... - It just came to me.

It just dawned on me!

There might be a trace of evidence that could prove me innocent.

Really?

This is great!

I'll seek an audience with Father now.

I'll ask him to let you defend yourself.

Hold on!

I will need Min De's help in this matter.

Your Highness.

Thank you for helping us.

Wei Young is also my friend.

I also hope to be of some help to her.

I owe you my gratitude.

I'll surely repay your kindness when I get a chance.

I have to find the witness for Wei Young.

I should get going.

I'll come with you!

No.

Your Highness, this is not child's play.

I know that you have always regarded me as a mischievous good-for-nothing.

But I really do want to help Wei Young.

Take me with you!

I will stay by your side and follow your instructions.

Have some faith in me!

I promise not to cause any trouble.

You promise?

All right then.

You have to stay close to me and stay out of trouble.

Let's go.

[Memorial tablet of the late Crown Princess Jing Mu]

This is our first collaboration.

You are indeed brave and astute.

You truly are the most talented lady of Ping City.

Chang Ru was meticulous and thorough in carrying out the plan.

I really underestimated you in the past.

Some day... I wonder if you would do so to me as well.

You're being too sensitive.

How could it have gone so well without the Chiyun family's influence?

We are all in the same boat together.

It's a capital crime to murder a member of the imperial family.

Li Wei Young can no longer get close to the ones we love.

She deserved it.

Who is she to blame?

Why would Li Wei Young suddenly murder Crown Princess Consort?

I have already verified the information.

There is irrefutable evidence.

Li Wei Young's arrest puts us at a great disadvantage.

I'm worried that she might expose us out of desperation.

Prince of Nan-An has the report.

He is far away at the border.

Li Wei Young doesn't have any evidence.

His Majesty won't believe her.

But this morning, I heard that

Prince of Nan-An is on his way to the capital.

He let Li Wei Young off once.

It's hard to say that he wouldn't do so again.

Prince of Nan-An is highly unpredictable.

I can't take such a risk.

What should we do?

We'll send someone into the Imperial Dungeon.

Before His Majesty interrogates her in person

we'll have her killed.

Who could be the murderer?

How did it all happen?

"The report is hidden in the Earth God Shrine east of the city."

Could she have stolen the letter?

Moreover, I wasn't at Crown Prince's Manor.

But Qiu Yi and all the servants testified against me.

It's obvious that they weren't lying either.

How could there be two such similar persons?

I suspect that she is a skilled artist of disguise.

The art of disguise?

But Chiyun Rou is now critically ill...

Could it be...

Li Chang Le?

[Chiyun Manor]

It was you...

You killed me.

It wasn't me!

It was Li Wei Young!

It wasn't me!

Where has she gone?

You claimed that you love Jun.

But you had me killed.

Do you know how upset Jun is?

It's because I love Prince of Gaoyang so much

that I had no other choice.

This is the only way I could have Li Wei Young killed.

I could then have him to myself.

Once Jun learns of the truth, he will never forgive you!

Do you recognize this?

It wasn't me...

It wasn't me!

It wasn't me...

Li Wei Young killed you.

Li Wei Young killed you, not me.

His Highness will never find out.

Never.

Crown Princess Consort...

Your Highness.

My sincere condolences.

As Wei Young's eldest sister

I was too ashamed to see you after what she did.

But I...

I'm really worried about you.

I know of the sorrow in your heart.

I will always stay by your side.

Leave now.

I don't need any company.

- But... - Leave!

[The late Crown Princess]

[Memorial tablet of the late Crown Princess Consort Jing Mu]

[Memorial tablet of the late Crown Princess Consort Jing Mu]

I will visit Your Highness tomorrow.

Are you tired, Your Highness?

Why don't you head home first? I'll look for evidence alone.

I promised to help Li Wei Young, so I won't quit easily.

Your Highness, you are too delicate.

Why don't I escort you home first?

I wish to spend more time with you before you leave.

That's because we're the best of friends!

This way, please.

Your Grace.

Chang Ru greets Consort Zhaoyi.

Do rise.

I've heard that Prince of Nan-An won the battle

and he will be back in the capital in a few days.

I'd like to congratulate Your Grace and His Highness in advance.

You're very thoughtful.

Have you come especially to congratulate me

or are you after something else?

Why would Your Grace say so?

Minister Li wishes to have me plead on behalf of Li Wei Young?

Li Wei Young assassinated Crown Princess Consort.

His Majesty gave orders himself to arrest her.

She is now in the Imperial Dungeon.

No one can save her.

Your Grace, you've misunderstood me.

I'm indeed here to congratulate Your Grace

upon hearing of the prince's victory.

As for my cousin, Wei Young

I might not be here to plead on her behalf.

I'm here to tell Your Grace something about her.

[Imperial Dungeon]

Is that true?

I'd have to go and take a look someday.

If I would suspect Li Chang Le, how could I not be wary of Chiyun Nan?

I can't die.

There's still much to be done.

Fire!

Fire!

Put out the fire!

Hurry up!

Go and get water!

- Get water! - Put out the fire!

Quickly!

Guards! The prisoner has escaped!

Go after her!

- Go! - Quickly!

Wei Young, it's me. Come!

Quickly! Head over there!

Yes!

Quickly!

- Search thoroughly! - Yes!

- Wei Young. - Min De.

What are you doing out here?

Did you set that fire?

I did.

You set fire to the Imperial Dungeon and fled.

That is one crime on top of another!

Have you gone insane?

You haven't even cleared your name as Crown Princess Consort's murderer

and now His Majesty definitely won't spare you.

That's the least of my concerns. I was framed for it.

I have to seek audience with His Majesty to clear my name.

Seek audience with His Majesty?

Just with your side of the story? That's digging your own grave! No.

- I can't agree to that. - I have no other choice.

It's sink or swim.

By the way, how is the investigation?

I went to that inn as you instructed.

[Jinyuan Inn]

A young lady about your age went past here that day.

She even damaged my newly built wall.

I found that handprint and got you the innkeeper's testimony.

This is great. I can clear my name with this evidence.

Quickly. Arrest me and take me to His Majesty.

Wei Young...

- Hurry up! - All right.

She must be nearby! Search carefully!

Don't bother searching!

I have arrested the prisoner.

- Take her away. - Yes.

Move.

Wei Young, be careful.

[Jinggong Gate]

Li Wei Young!

How dare you?

You actually escaped from the dungeon?

I'm guilty of that, but I had no other choice.

That is why I had to resort to this.

How atrocious!

You aren't cleared of Crown Princess Consort's brutal murder

and now you even went one step further to burn down the Imperial Dungeon?

You have no respect for me at all.

You have sinned greatly.

I must punish you severely today.

If not, who will fear me?
