Oops! The king is in Love

Episode 10

How dare he?

What a bastard Lin Yanqing is!

When he has just been entitled to the Number One Scholar by me,

he made such a big trouble.

What a joke it is!

How will the public see me?

I've made up my mind.

Lin Yanqing will have to be executed

by dismembering the body

at the corner of the food market tomorrow.

I mean to rip him

and cut off his head

to relieve my rage.

I don't think you should do it.

Rest assured, Emperor.

I've sent Zhiyue to investigate the case.

She will definitely help build up your reputation.

Then those officials will have nothing to say.

Great.

For the fame of the imperial family,

General Gong.

I'm here.

Don't make Lin Yanqing die in the prison

for no apparent reason,

otherwise I'll definitely punish you.

He should be executed in public

to relieve the wrath of the people.

I'll obey your command.

Your Majesty,

I have plenty of methods

to kill Lin Yanqing in the prison.

Why did you do that?

What those officials said on the imperial court today did make sense.

If we kill him now,

those officials will

have been bothering me all the time.

I'm tired of it.

You should leave now.

Yes.

Ke'er,

I have sent so many calligraphy works and paintings to His Majesty.

He hasn't had any reaction, has he?

I have asked Eunuch Hai.

His Majesty has made no response.

Why father asked me to investigate the case of Lin Yanqing

is that he wanted me to win the preference of Her Majesty.

Then Her Majesty might agree with the marriage of His Majesty and me.

But who else could know that His Majesty would appear in a sudden?

He must have hated me.

Ke'er,

all that I did is

for the future of His Majesty and me.

Do you think I did it wrong?

Lady, you have to look at the bright side.

No response is the best one.

Nope.

You don't get it.

It won't be as simple as you think.

That Sanbao.

Awesome!

How His Majesty played cat and mouse with them

not only saved the life of Lin Yanqing,

but scared them shitless.

How brilliant you are!

Your Majesty is wise and resourceful.

I do respect you from the bottom of my heart.

You don't have to.

An emperor's words are to be taken seriously.

What I said just now is true.

What?

You do wanna kill Lin Yanqing, don't you?

You think yourself clever and conjecture about the thought of the emperor.

If you can conjecture about my thought randomly,

how can I save my face?

You're the owner of a state,

but you mean to kill an innocent person

who is also the Number One Scholar entitled by you

just for your so-called fame and dignity.

If the news is spread out,

how will the public regard you?

Why are you looking at me?

Did I say anything wrong?

Yanqing is the grandson of Prime Minister Lin.

Their family was valued by the late emperor.

Why did they have to suffer all these things when you succeeded to the throne?

Yan Zhixia,

you've mentioned the name of Lin Yanqing so many times.

You said you didn't care for the engagement and you wanted to stay in the imperial palace.

You lied to me about it, didn't you?

You did deceive me, didn't you?

I'm done with these words.

How many times I've told you

that I treat Prime Minister Lin as my grandfather

and Yanqing my elder brother.

The engagement was decided by our elders.

I've never agreed with it.

I've never promised.

I didn't even care for it.

Then isn't he your childhood sweetheart?

You're...

It's fine.

If what happened today happens to Zhiyue,

what will you do?

I...

Zhixia,

I know you

wanna save Lin Yanqing.

You're worried. So am I.

But Her Majesty has the collaboration letter written by Lin Yanqing.

It isn't as simple as you think.

True.

So what you want is

to kill him to solve all the problems.

You're brave and careful. How smart you're at ordinary times!

How come you're so silly at the critical moment?

Do you mean

you do wanna save Lin Yanqing?

You were joking with me just now, weren't you?

Of course.

What those officials said on the imperial court

has earned some time for Lin Yanqing,

but it won't ensure his safety.

By assassination or poison,

or Lin Yanqing could commit suicide for fear of punishment.

What I did

is to make Lin Yanqing safe.

I allowed officials to earn some time for Lin Yanqing

on the imperial court,

which is meaningful for digging out the truth.

Your Majesty.

Your Majesty.

Your Majesty,

I was so confused to say those words just now,

which doesn't count.

I'm sorry.

You dared to talk with me like that,

which seems

I haven't punished you

for a long time.

I'm mad,

hubris,

wicked,

and full of evil.

Keeping saying.

Evil...

[General's Residence]

Move.

Move.

Kneel down.

Your Highness,

I bring you someone.

Why do you bring a beggar?

He's not a beggar.

Your Highness, see.

It's...

Your Highness,

a member of the evil organization in the State of Mosa must have this tattoo.

[Mosa Gui Yuanliang]

So I think he must be

a spy sent by the army of the State of Mosa to our state.

[Prison of Ministry of Penalty]

Yanqing.

Yanqing.

Why do you come here?

Hasn't His Majesty punished you?

It's His Majesty who allowed me to come here.

It's great that you're fine.

Thank God, I haven't got you in trouble.

Otherwise how can I meet Mrs. Emerald?

Mind yourself.

Don't worry about me.

I'm fine.

I heard you encountered some killers outside the imperial palace

and got lost later.

I was so anxious that I figured out this bad idea.

You don't blame me, do you?

But it's so difficult to meet you here.

The festival is coming,

so I've prepared some delicious dishes for you.

Have a taste.

Zhixia,

do you hide anything from me?

Are you in danger?

Have you already...?

His Majesty has said

you should eat well and have a good sleep here.

We will save you out of the prison.

There's only one question I wanna ask you.

It's so dangerous in the imperial palace,

but why did you refuse to go with me?

I...

Deputy Director, Deputy Director,

General Zhiyue is coming.

I've broken the rule,

so please don't get me in trouble.

I have to go.

[Prison of Ministry of Penalty]

Stand still.

General Zhiyue,

what a coincidence!

It is.

Eunuch Sanbao,

why can I meet you everywhere?

General Zhiyue, you don't get it, do you?

I'm a personal attendant of His Majesty.

When you go to meet His Majesty,

you'll definitely see me.

Then why did I meet you at the gate of the imperial palace?

You were kidnaped by the traitor, weren't you?

Did you get hurt?

Thank you for your consideration, General Zhiyue.

I'm fine.

I'm okay.

Then that's strange.

Lin Yanqing made you faint

and brought you out of the imperial palace.

Why did you come to visit the traitor?

I...

His Majesty sent you here?

Of course not.

Now that it wasn't.

As you're a personal attendant of His Majesty,

won't you afraid of bringing trouble to His Majesty?

Eh, you...

I'm ordered to be in charge of the case of Lin Yanqing.

It doesn't matter

if you have any request,

feel free to tell me.

Thanks for your kindness, General.

But you do get me wrong.

I think you have something else to do with.

I won't bother you anymore.

I'm leaving first.

One with mediocre appearance, doing things unadvisedly and having no advantage,

I do have no idea why His Majesty wants to keep you by his side.

Bravo. Bravo. Bravo. Bravo.

Bravo.

Your Majesty. Your Majesty. Your Majesty.

Go ahead.

He's spitting blood.

Ada,

you're a top-grade master.

What's wrong with you today?

Ada, you don't feel well today, do you?

What's wrong with you?

[King Mosa Yelu Ming]

[General's Residence]

I'm reporting to you, Your Highness.

Here's a message from the frontier.

Everything is done.

My poison is colorless and odorless.

You can't find anything.

Then

you can stay in the capital city safely

to develop the strategy for the future.

Your Highness,

now you can trust me.

Your Highness,

I've done a lot for the clan of Yelu.

It's the clan of Yelu that betrayed me.

I've gone through too much

to escape from death these years.

All that I want is to get a chance for revenge.

If Your Highness can give me some help,

I will spare no effort to swear my loyalty to you.

Great.

You should have known

well of the State of Dongsheng.

No one can give you some help except me.

If you can make Yan Jin die gradually

in an intangible way,

I'll offer you whatever you want,

including extravagant clothes and delicious food,

wealth and rank,

and beauties all over the state.

What you mean is

to poison him?

Father,

how is the case of Lin Yanqing?

Her Majesty is always dilatory in making decisions.

It's just the view of a woman.

What's the attitude of His Majesty?

How come I have a daughter like you?

I think aunt would have been happy,

since I had caught the traitor.

I haven't expected His Majesty appeared in a sudden.

I'm confused now.

I've been suffering so much.

My girl,

I can help you one more time.

I'm reporting to you, Your Majesty.

The secret agent sent to the State of Mosa comes to report that

there are really rumors about the collaboration of Lin Yanqing

spread in the State of Mosa.

What's happening in the capital city?

Average people are talking about it

and they are saying it's unfair for Yanqing.

The situation is extremely advantageous to us.

Great.

It should be more sensational.

Then I can earn more time.

Big Brother.

Sanbao,

I have a piece of good news for you.

I also have a piece of news for you.

Spit it out.

The one who perturbs you is coming to the imperial palace.

Her Majesty asked you to go to her place.

It's amazing.

Sanbao,

I'm thirsty.

Your Majesty,

I know you're interested in anecdotes.

Zhiyue found the talent

and she wants to send him to you for fun later.

Your Majesty,

Gui Yuanliang can conjure lots of tricks.

I'm so lucky to find him. It's almost Mid-Autumn Day.

I wanna send him to you.

If you keep him by your side,

you can definitely get more fun.

It's great.

He's interesting and I'm interested in him.

Zhiyue, you've done a good job.

I'll feel happy, if Your Majesty likes him.

Award him imperial wine.

Thanks, Your Majesty.

Bravo.

Brother,

he's amazing.

Let's keep him by our side.

Now that Zhiyue has sent him to you,

you can keep him here if you like him.

I've approved.

I'm bowing to you, Your Majesty.

I thought you wouldn't come.

Her Majesty holds a banquet today. You don't attend it

but ask me to meet you here alone. What's for?

If Your Majesty doesn't attend the banquet,

I won't have fun there.

I have something else to do today.

Your Majesty,

why I sent you a stargazer

is that I find you've been unhappy these days

and I wanna make you happy.

Why don't you keep him here?

Thanks for your consideration, Zhiyue.

If you have nothing else to say, I'll leave first.

Your Majesty,

I always have a question for you.

In your mind,

what do you think of me?

Zhiyue,

you're an expert at both the pen and the sword, and you're chipper.

You're someone who will make people spontaneously get close to you.

Get close?

But since I came back to the capital city,

Your Majesty seems to have plenty of secrets

and you haven't treated me like how you used to do.

You've thought too much.

I'm an emperor, so I should give priority to national affairs.

I have to set a model to other and I should speak and act cautiously.

Zhiyue, for me,

you're my younger sister forever.

Your Majesty, are you still mad at me

about the case of Lin Yanqing?

Zhiyue,

I've witnessed

what you did.

You don't have to think too much.

And you don't have to worry.

I believe in you.

Well, Your Majesty, I wanna

share your troubles with you.

Are you willing to tell me?

I...

I'll talk to you another day.

As for the case of Lin Yanqing,

His Majesty should have punished you.

Big Brother,

why are you two getting

closer and closer?

Because we've shared weal and woe.

Share woe?

Isn't it the Number One Scholar who is facing woe?

Right.

His Majesty and I have...

Why should I talk to you two about that?

You two deal with her for me.

Your Highness.

Forego formalities.

Have you two seen Sanbao?

How nasty Sanbao is! He has made a date with me

but didn't show up.

Wait and see how I will catch him

and ask about the reason with cruel torture.

How strange it is!

What kind of advantages

can being a eunuch have?

Why are they all asking for our big brother?

What are you laughing for?

Do you know the reason?

Spill it out.

Let's go.

His Majesty has given us a mission.

What a little bastard you're!

Are you hiding from trouble?

Your Majesty, you do know well of me.

Rest assured. My younger sister is naughtier than I am.

She'll forget it in a few days.

Talking about being naughty,

Your Majesty,

the stargazer Lady Zhiyue has sent you earlier,

do you think

there might be something wrong with him?

I'm not sure.

But my intuition implies

I shouldn't keep him by my side.

Besides,

I might have seen the pattern somewhere.

The pattern seems to be a local symbol of the State of Mosa.

I get it.

The symbol means evil in the State of Mosa.

It's a symbol of evil.

Why are you pondering over it?

Let's go.

I'll lead you to a place.

The air is fresh here.

I'd like to stay overnight here quietly

on each Mid-Autumn Day.

It's fireworks.

See, Your Majesty. It's fireworks.

It's so pretty.

How splendid they are!

They're set off one after another.

It's so beautiful.

It's great.

True.

What are you waiting for? It's almost done.

Go keep setting off them.

Okay.

It's great.

How beautiful they are!

Do you like it?

Of course.

I'm not asking whether you like these fireworks.

I'm asking you,

do you like...?

I'm asking you,

do you like...?

You've prepared these for me, haven't you?

Yep.

We've suffered a lot since the case of Lin Yanqing.

Nowadays officials have submitted memorials to the throne while scholars have been talking about the case.

We might be able to have a slim chance of success.

You can consider these as the celebration in advance.

Okay.

We've tried our utmost and then we should leave the rest to God.

At least, we haven't given up till now, have we?

I've also prepared you some wine.

Wine?

Zhixia,

since you showed up by my side,

I seem not to fear of the dark that much.

Actually, I don't know the reason.

I always think

keeping you by my side

is the wisest decision I've ever made in my life.

Are you praising me or yourself?

I'm praising me myself.

It tastes great.

Nonsense!

It's sure that my imperial wine

is a rarity of rarities.

What about you?

Don't you want any?

I can't drink alcohol.

Cooking mutton and beef is of great fun,

while boozing can bring more fun.

Haven't you said you long for walking around all corners of the state?

If you don't drink alcohol, how can you achieve what you long for?

Don't you want any for sure?

It's done.

[Lady in Red]

Isn't it the Lady in Red

I asked you to prepare for my master?

Oh,

you've hidden it secretly.

What do you mean hiding it secretly?

What the great wine it is!

If I don't hide it secretly, I will miss its great taste.

You're right.

If there's a chance, I will let you have a taste of the gammon cooked by my mother.

It's incredibly awesome.

Your mother?

Yep.

I was born in a brothel,

but my mother always told me when I was a child

that I wouldn't stay there forever.

So she taught me reading and writing in my childhood.

No matter how many difficulties we met,

she would give me the best thing she could.

Although she is always strict with me,

she's still the best mother all over the world.

I haven't expected that the Jade Qilin who fears of nothing at ordinary times

also has such a soft side.

I propose a toast to you.

I hope I could stay by the side of my mother forever.

Then

what about me?

Will you

stay by my side forever?

Nope. Definitely.

I don't wanna be a concubine of you at all.

My mother was abandoned

by her beloved in her life

because of her identity.

I do wanna find someone

who doesn't care for both my identity

and the outcome

but falls in love with me with his heart

and holds my hand in the rest of my life.

-For the rest of my life... -A man and woman.

What's it?

In fact, over those years,

I've been lonely in the imperial palace,

but something is different this year.

I have you by my side.

There're so many people in the imperial palace.

Why do you still feel lonely?

I mean my heart.

Brother,

shall I continue?

His Majesty said we should set off all.

Don't feel miserable all the time.

You're young and have a bright future.

There're more important things you have to deal with.

I, Jade Qilin, used to be famous in the capital city these years.

I've gone through a lot.

Don't worry.

I promise I'll protect you.

Do you mean

you'll stay by my side forever?

It's not a big deal.

Then do you

have a thing for me?

Yep.

I do.

Are you sure?

I do.

I'm drunk.

One.

Two.

Three.

Eh!

Your Majesty.

Your Majesty.

Your Majesty.

What's wrong with you, Your Majesty?

Your Majesty.

Your Majesty.
