Oops! The King is in Love

Episode 7

What's the matter with your hand?

I got hurt making the lamp.

You'll live here

in the future.

You especially arranged it for me?

That's my good Sanbao.

Your Majesty, why are you blushing?

No way.

Hey!

Buddies!

Buddies!

Where will you take me?

Buddies?

Is it because I offended too many people

so they want to kill me secretly?

Oh no!

Hey, buddies, buddies!

I have a stomachache.

It hurts.

Buddies!

Don't kill me! Don't kill me!

I know it's all my fault.

Please don't…

It's you!

Surprise!

Isn't it?

Look at the sweat on your face!

Happy smile,

flushed cheeks,

and shy look.

You've been giggling all night.

Is there anything happy?

Tell me.

I want to be happy as well.

Master,

what are you talking about?

What am I talking about?

Zhiyue started

to

play the wedding game

with you at the age of 8.

You didn't take an aversion for that

Master,

you mean Zhiyue?

Yes.

Weren't you thinking of her?

Yes.

It is her.

You are lying.

Don't tell me you were thinking of Yan Zhixia.

Her?

She is fat,

stupid

and eats like a horse.

How can it be possible

for

an eminent person like me to like her?

Your Highness,

this is not the right way to play a prank.

If there is nothing else, hope Your Highness will allow me to leave.

Hey,

where are you going?

If you don't play with me today,

I'll tell everyone

you aren't castrated.

Oh gosh.

That girl

is unusual

and interesting.

But it's not a children's game.

If other people know her identity,

she will be certain to die.

Her family will also be involved.

Even if it's not that serious,

but you know what,

if she is by your side

and you behave too abnormally,

Her Majesty will suspect and investigate,

and all of

your plans and cover-ups

made so far

will be revealed.

You will gain nothing but a

total defeat.

Don't you remember why Mr. Wang died?

Do you want her to be

the next one?

Well said.

The Imperial Exam is upcoming.

I must take actions.

As to Sanbao,

I'll give it further thought.

Sanbao, I haven't seen you for a long time.

It's just a tiny prank.

I am specially inviting you here today

to get hammered.

What?

You ordered attendants to carry me here

only to

treat me?

To cure the unmentionable disease of my brother,

I did everything I could

and finally made love-arousing pills.

So many days have passed,

and it's time for it to take effect these days.

If it works,

you will be a hero.

Shouldn't we

celebrate?

Your Highness,

I peed,

gave His Majesty the medicine

and did everything

I could and should do.

But you keep

none of your promises.

I was pushed into a fire pit.

I'm in

no mood to drink.

I didn't expect my brother would select you

as his personal attendant.

But now

I will compensate you.

Sanbao,

are you willing to stay by my side

and play with me?

What?

Is she in love with me?

Waist token!

It's hopeful to get out of the palace.

Thanks for Your Highness's great care.

I'll

get hammered

together with you.

If she is by your side

and other people know her identity,

she will be certain to die.

Her family will also be involved.

Don't you remember why Mr. Wang died?

Do you want her to be

the next one?

What's the matter with me?

Who is the most powerful person

in this palace?

Mr. Hai.

Who is the most powerful person

in this palace?

-His Majesty. -Her Majesty.

We can't say His Majesty. It's the rule.

Your Highness,

drink it.

Fine. Fine. I'll drink it.

Go on.

Who is the most powerful person

in this palace?

-Guard Zhang. -Guard Yang.

Who is the most powerful person

in this palace?

-Her Majesty. -Gong Ye.

Sanbao,

did you play dirty?

Why did I lose all the time?

That's the question I want to ask.

Why aren't you drunk after having so much wine?

It's empty again.

Someone! Fill it!

I've warmed up.

Let's get started.

Show me what you've got.

What?

Warm up?

Your Majesty,

you…

Your Majesty,

are you okay?

Your Majesty?

Sanbao.

Your Majesty.

Your Majesty?

Your Majesty.

Sanbao.

What are you waiting for?

Go and find Sanbao.

Soft vanilla from the Western Regions

can double the effect.

How can you not get drunk?

Sanbao,

are you aware of

you crime?

She noticed that?

Your Highness,

I…

You've committed

the crime of

being on my mind day and night.

Here,

drink it.

Sanbao,

do you know

when I first saw you,

I was marveled at

how handsome you were?

Where did Sanbao go?

We've been to every possible place.

Who knows?

Where did he go?

Go on. Quickly.

Stop talking rubbish.

He is a person. How can we not find him?

So disturbing.

Sanbao. Sanbao. Sanbao.

Be careful. Be careful.

Sanbao,

we've looked for you for a long time.

Why are you here?

Sanbao.

Lotus.

Lily.

Sanbao,

there is something wrong with His Majesty.

That's true.

His Majesty is abnormal after coming back.

He keeps calling your name.

His Majesty is poisoned.

Poisoned?

No no no.

His Majesty is safe and sound.

Go back. Go back.

Hey! Hey! hey!

What's the matter with him?

No idea.

I can go out of the palace.

You.

Sanbao,

what are you doing?

Actually,

you're

good-looking.

Look at this straight nose

and this beautiful face.

Come on, smile for me.

Why can

it move?

It moves again.

And again and again and again.

And again and again and again.

What a

sturdy chest.

Did you hear that?

Pitpat. Pitpat. Pitpat.

Is it the sound of heartbeats?

Sanbao,

you got drunk.

Yes, you are right.

It's so embarrassing.

I, Jade Qilin,

will face the music.

Don't worry.

I'll take the responsibility.

I will.

Sorry.

I'm sorry.

I've stayed in this palace too long.

If I don't leave now, never will I do it in the future.

Your Majesty treats me so well

that I'm reluctant to go

and don't want to go.

But I,

I'm too stupid

and often get into trouble.

If they know who I am,

my kindred will be killed.

I don't want to get my mother involved.

Can't believe I had an erotic dream.

Sit down.

Eat with me.

Ah?

Sit down.

Eat with me.

Have a taste.

Brother.

Brother.

Why are you here, Anle?

To ask something

Your Highness.

from you.

You never need

my permission to

take away things you want.

Anle,

what are you doing?

What I want is him.

This is an exception.

Why?

Brother,

you said I could take away directly.

This is the personal attendant I selected myself.

I'll find you another one.

Anle.

Brother,

did you feel strange last night?

No.

Think it over.

Did you

flush and feel hot?

Did your heart beat quickly?

Were you short-winded?

Did you think every woman,

even the ugliest one, was beautiful?

Were you unable to control yourself

but to indulge in fantasies?

No.

It shouldn't be so.

The medicine you ate is

love-arousing pills.

According to your pulse,

it has already taken effect.

Is there anything wrong with the formula?

Brother,

don't be upset.

After I come back,

I will stew another one for you.

Sanbao,

let's go.

Fine. Fine.

Sanbao, it depends on you.

Will you go with me?

Your Majesty,

Zhiyue is inviting you to the imperial garden.

She's been waiting there for some time.

Anle,

I'm

to meet Zhiyue.

As to this thing,

we'll talk about it later.

Okay. Okay. Okay.

Go go go.

It's a chance to test the love-arousing pills.

Sanbao,

come with me.

Master.

Where is the number one scholar of my family?

He is reading at the study.

I'm bringing him the nourishment.

Where is Zhiyue?

She went to the imperial palace

to talk with His Majesty.

She finally

came around.

Zhiyue is so soft-hearted.

Her Majesty hasn't decided yet.

The future is uncertain.

We must take precautions.

Young master,

this is ginseng and cordyceps soup.

You've read for a long time.

Please have a rest.

Come and have fun with me.

I

will be the number one scholar.

Please don't.

It's your honor

to have fun with me.

Get out!

Your Majesty, why are you here again?

This is my palace.

I can go wherever I want.

What are you going to do?

Change clothes for me.

Oh.

You always come here to practise

every time you get angry.

You are the emperor of this country.

How can you get angry so often?

Sanbao,

you also mock me?

I'm a human.

Isn't it normal to get vexed?

Get vexed. Get vexed.

Why are you vexed all the time?

Why don't you think positively?

You know nothing about it.

Everyone thinks the emperor

enjoys the best life.

But no one knows

this imperial palace is all I know about.

I even don't have an idea of what the outside world looks like.

What I should do,

shouldn't do,

should eat

and shouldn't eat

are all under other people's control.

I can't misspoke

or make mistakes.

I even can't marry the girl I love.

I hope I could be

as inattentive as you are.

I'm not inattentive, okay?

Your Majesty,

I know you are vexed by

your marriage and political affairs.

But the turning point has already showed up.

You and Zhiyue

are good friends since childhood.

And you also love each other.

Stop.

Zhiyue is like

a younger sister to me.

I want to follow my heart.

You are a king.

You can marry whoever you want.

Why are you so vexed.

Sanbao,

what kind of person

will you marry?

The person I love. That's for sure.

What is love?

Love?

Love is

to quarrel when we're together

but to miss each other when we're apart.

Only by looking in the eyes can we understand what each other needs .

We are happy

though what we do are silly things.

We make allowances for each other.

We take care of each other.

We always have so much to say.

Joy.

Vexation.

Happiness.

Quarrels.

These all turn into memories.

And in our eyes,

Love,

love,

love is just love.

It's hard to express it clearly.

All in all,

love is a mystical thing.

I grew up at marketplaces

and have seen many love-hate relationships.

It's difficult to explain it in a short time.

But Your Majesty,

as long as you follow your heart,

be courageous and sincere,

I believe

whatever your decision is,

it will always be right.

How will you decide?

Me?

There are too many restrictions

in the imperial palace.

I want a man who will

love me only

in his lifetime

and we will have

a simple life together.

Love you only

in his lifetime.

You…

Isn't there anything you want to say, Your Majesty?

Nothing.

Why do you have this waist token?

Is it yours?

That night, you…

Did nothing.

You are willing to stay by my side?

Of course

I am.

I swore.

Aren't you afraid of Her Majesty and Mr. Hai?

Of course not.

I'm afraid of nothing

because I have Your Majesty.

Aren't you afraid I will make a choice

between imperial majesty and you after they know

who you are?

Don't worry, Your Majesty.

I'll tread lightly

and not cause troubles to you.

You truly like the imperial palace?

Of course.

It is so big

and so luxurious.

It also has countless delicacies.

Of course I like it.

You're truly

willing to stay by my side?

Yes.

Every day that I spend with Your Majesty

is the happiest time to me.

I'm willing to be with Your Majesty.

If they know who I am,

my kindred will be killed.

I don't want to get my mother involved.

Don't you remember why Mr. Wang died?

Do you want her to be

the next one?

Leave the palace.

There is something for you to do.

Leave the palace right now

to leak the questions?

I see.

Your Majesty worries that Her Majesty and Gong Ye will

team up in secret.

It's better to turn their trick into our own use

and insert our people than to

let their people be the number one scholar

so that they will gain nothing.

Sanbao, you are clever

and have creative ideas.

But it is a risky thing.

Can you do that?

No problem.

I'll handle it.

Sanbao,

you always give me a feeling of closeness

that I never had before.

I believe

I made

a right choice.

Yes.

Your Majesty,

this is the best decision you've ever made.

Leave all of it to me.

I promise to complete the task.

Zhixia,

take care.

Mr. Hai.

Come in.

Are you serious?

I saw it myself.

I won't get it wrong.

What a godsend!

Go and take

Sanbao here, right now.

Yes.

After Sanbao became the personal attendant,

His Majesty has a person who offers bad advice.

Sanbao left the palace suddenly.

He must have a secret task.

We are at a critical time of the Imperial Exam.

It's a must to take precautions.

Someone!

Tell them

I want them to keep a close watch.

Yes.

The smell of freedom!

I just came out but have already been under observation.

His Majesty has locked himself in the room for a whole day.

Is he alright?

A man will grow faster after getting hurt.

Who dares to hurt His Majesty?

Don't you know?

I…

There are too many restrictions

in the imperial palace.

I want a man who will

love me only

in his lifetime

and we will have

a simple life together.

Your Majesty treats me so well

that I'm reluctant to go

and don't want to go.

It hurts. It hurts.

Mom,

it really hurts.

Don't you know it's dodgy? Why did you do that?

If I had known you would risk

getting into the imperial palace,

I would have mortgaged

Emerald Bordello to them.

Mom,

you see, I came out.

Don't be angry.

Good.

I've suffered a lot.

I want nothing from you,

just hoping you will be

healthy,

happy,

marry Yanqing as soon as possible

and enjoy a good family life.

But look at you.

Stop.

I won't marry Yanqing.

Then what do you want to do?

Go back to the palace?

The palace?

The young Master there

knows me through and through.

He knows I want to come out from the beginning.

He told me to leave the palace

only to do me a favor.

If I can't understand this,

how can I survive in the palace?

I would have already died.

Young Master?

Here you are.

What do you mean?

You've been longing for a trip to the Western Regions.

I agreed.

Mom,

this is all the money you've got.

Go.

Leave here tomorrow.

Let me have fun for some days.

See you.

She

will follow in my footsteps.

I've investigated.

His Excellency Li from the Imperial Academy

set a question about Her Majesty

in order to flatter her.

Gong Ye has moved into General's Mansion.

Her Majesty manipulates the examination in secret

and chooses a person from her team as the number one scholar.

Dignitaries in the capital also make deals in secret,

hoping their sons or relatives will get posts in the court

to ensure their wealth.

The Imperial Exam is a way of the court to

discover talented people and benefit the public.

It's the only chance for students from poor families to change their fate.

I won't allow them to

ruin it.

Do you have any plan?

Is there anything I can do for you?

Master,

the only plan I've thought of so far is to

get the copy of the test paper.

It seems that

there is no other safer plan.

You are right.

The examination is a serious issue to the country.

There is no allowance for an error.

I feel anxious for you.
