Oops! The King is in Love

Episode 4

Sanbao!

How dare you!

Stand up!

Mr. Hai,

don't you see I'm here?

How dare you say that?

Your Majesty,

Sanbao is really out of line.

I'll surely teach him a lesson after I take him back.

Stand up.

This is my personal attendant,

and I'm pleased with him.

And you! Have you paid respects when breaking into the imperial study?

My respects, Your Majesty!

You ruined my mood for the meal.

What's up?

Your Majesty,

General Gong Ye is here,

and Her Majesty is asking you to the Imperial Garden to play go.

Please!

Princess!

Have you got it?

Yes.

That Sanji was named Sanbao by His Majesty,

and was chosen as His Majesty's personal attendant.

What? He was chosen as a personal attendant?

Then he can no longer play with me…

Well, give that to me.

Be careful!

There're all treasures here.

What's the matter?

No,

why doesn't it change?

Spare no one.

General, what you are thinking about

is obviously reflected in the game.

Your Majesty,

the go game is like life,

and one careless move may cause complete failure,

So I cannot make any mistake.

If I intentionally let you win all the time,

I would be the same as

those flatterers.

You do have great speechcraft

that can even wake up a dead man.

Your Majesty, the prime minister is no longer a threat,

and the emperor is becoming an adult.

But he always denied his marriage.

I'm afraid that as time goes by,

the old ministers may inevitably blame you.

So should we plan for the next move?

The emperor himself doesn't have the intention of marriage,

why should I be so impatient?

Your Majesty,

is that true?

He dare not!

Yes,

it's natural that he dare not

if that's your idea.

General,

I remember that your daughter Zhiyue

and the emperor are childhood friends,

are you thinking about some idea?

No, I dare not.

I always follow your directions,

and I hope Your Majesty can understand my loyalty.

Your Majesty,

the emperor is going to fly a kite,

and ordered me to report to you

that he's not coming here.

A simple kid with little threat.

General, will you rest assured now?

Sanbao's really a bastard!

But he is the emperor's personal attendant, after all,

how should I do with him?

Just do what you should do!

Yes, Your Majesty.

Ha-ha!

Ha-ha!

Ha-ha! Ha-ha!

Well, enough, Your Majesty, stop laughing.

Once they know that you are playing,

you won't be in any trouble.

Your Majesty, thank you for believing in me.

Don't think too much,

I just didn't like the arrogance of Mr. Hai,

and I didn't want to lose face.

Hey, Jade Qilin.

Are you domineering in ordinary days?

Why were you so scared in the face of Mr. Hai?

What can you do for me?

So whom did I help just now?

And now he is dissatisfied with me!

Why don't you go playing go with Gong Ye if you are capable?

Don't think I will be grateful to you

just because you've helped me once.

Your Majesty,

I am as timid as a mouse and I do fear death.

Since you don't like me,

why don't you let me out of the palace?

Why is he so eager to leave the palace?

Can those rumors…

Mr. Sanbao is so strange.

I've never seen him take a bath,

but there's slight fragrance on him.

I heard that it is the scent of a woman.

You Majesty!

Are you going to kill me to keep the secret?

You Majesty!

Isn't it me who should be angry?

[Bailu Hot Spring]

Your Majesty, are you afraid of darkness?

Shut up！

Oh.

You!

You disguised yourself as a man and entered the palace as a eunuch.

Do you know

that it's a crime of deceiving the emperor?

I just modelled myself on Hua Mulan in ancient times!

My original name is Yan Zhixia.

I have been in the martial world

and dressed this way since childhood.

I've never deliberately hidden my identity as a girl.

How can you call it a deception?

Just make a confession of everything,

or I'll kill you!

Mr. Wang disappeared without saying a word.

A group of brothers are in hunger.

So I had no choice but to sneak into the palace to ask for money.

And what happened later

were all by accident.

What about your betraying your master for honor?

A big…

A big misunderstanding!

I was chosen as your personal attendant,

and Her Majesty also wanted to draw me over.

I would be regarded as unfaithful if I agreed,

and I would die if I didn't agree.

Having no choice,

I had to compromise

and behave scrupulously.

However,

I just wanted to draw them over

to serve you.

It is definitely not a betrayal of my master.

OK,

considering our relationship as master and servant,

I allow you to choose a comfortable way to die.

You made the final decision outside the palace,

and you chose me personally in the palace.

You have a grand appearance and a generous heart.

If you kill me,

you will be laughed at by the people.

You!

Well...

It seems that

I cannot refute you.

Yan Zhixia,

anyway, you've committed

a big crime that should lead to execution of your whole kindred.

I'll keep your life under my custody,

and from now on, you just stay

by my side as my personal attendant.

Dare you hide anything from me,

I'll immediately kill you.

Yes!

I pledge loyalty to Your Majesty!

In case of any defiance,

I'll be struck by lightning!

Well,

you go first.

Your Majesty, can you leave first?

I'm ordering you to go first.

I…

Mr. Hai, look!

It smells good!

Knockout drops!

It's too dangerous.

Mr. Hai, look.

Sanbao once inquired about the whereabouts of Mr. Wang from me.

There must be something wrong with this guy.

He's indeed a trouble.

It seems that we must

get rid of Sanbao.

Yan Jin,

have you really given up

saving Prime Minister Lin?

Her Majesty has power over the court,

and holds the military power.

Besides, Gong Ye

only follows her orders.

If I make any move now,

I'm afraid it will do harm to Prime Minister Lin.

The most dangerous place

is the safest place.

It's very thoughtful of you!

I have sent someone to protect him secretly.

But...

Prime Minister Lin

may be too old

to stand the imprisonment.

That old guy

is as tough

as a stone in the toilet.

He has been working hard for a lifetime,

and it would be good for him to have a rest.

Her Majesty and Gong Ye

are now on the same boat.

The old ministers pressed me to get married and take over the reins of government,

which annoyed Her Majesty.

In order to consolidate their power,

they'll surely take further moves.

It's a rule to choose his wife and take over the reins of government.

Does

that old woman

want you to be single for a lifetime?

If I really choose a wife now,

it will mean that I'm forcing her to surrender the power,

which means committing suicide.

As for taking over the reins,

I have to wait for an opportunity.

Not by force.

Not by force!

Did you mean that girl?

You stay at home every day.

Why don't you

go to the palace?

I messed the banquet dance up.

How dare I

visit His Majesty?

I knew

you are blaming me for ruining

your reunion with Yan Jin after such a long separation.

Three years have passed,

and everything has changed.

What can I do now?

I heard that

Yan Jin has been staying away from women

and refusing to choose a wife.

Isn't he waiting for you?

Waiting for me?

Think about it.

You and Yan Jin were childhood friends.

If he's not waiting for you,

who else could it be？

Lady,

why don't you return to your room?

What are you doing here?

When I was in the frontier,

I would tie a knot of safeness

every day I missed him.

I've tied

one thousand one hundred and seventy-seven knots.

That means

Three years and 81 days.

The knots of safeness

carry your deep love.

You should present them to His Majesty.

Since I met him for the first time,

I've been dreaming

that one day

I could be married to Yan Jin.

Do you think

he is really waiting for me?

Lady,

even if His Majesty is waiting for you,

you are considering too much.

If you don't take further moves,

what if he is taken by someone else?

As long as he has me in his heart,

I can rest assured.

I won't let anyone take him away.

She is the daughter of Gong Ye.

No way!

Zhiyue and I were childhood friends.

We are friends,

and more of brother and sister.

I know well

what she is like.

Besides, I have no other choice

but her.

I don't care what childhood friends you were.

I'm warning you,

a woman's heart is a deep ocean of secrets.

If you marry her,

it's like having a poisonous scorpion

sleeping beside you every day!

This is not only about your happiness,

but more about

the fate of the entire State of Dongsheng.

Anyway, I don't agree with you to do so.

Master,

just rest assured.

Even if it's Zhiyue,

it won't be that simple.

How is the Imperial Exam going?

General,

everything goes as your plan.

The third young master has successfully arrived in the capital

and been properly arranged.

OK.

Zhiyue is expected to be an important stone of the go game

for me to control the emperor.

If the Gong Family can have a No.1 scholar,

I will be a tiger with wings.

You're really masterminded, my general.

You've been fighting with me for many years.

I've already seen

your bravery, fighting skills and loyalty.

I will not treat you unfairly in the future.

General,

you've saved my life,

and I promise to spare no effort

to assist you!

[Emerald Bordello]

Well,

Yanqing,

what brings you here?

Take a seat.

Mrs. Emerald,

do you have any news about Zhixia?

Is she

involved in a trouble?

You know that Zhixia is naughty.

But she knows how far to go and when to stop.

She hasn't returned yet.

I'm afraid she must have been delayed by something.

But don't worry,

as soon as I know anything about Zhixia,

I'll send someone to inform you as soon as possible.

Thank you, Mrs. Emerald.

Well,

I'm leaving now.

Hey!

Yanqing,

by the way,

as for

saving your grandfather,

I advise you not to

count on Yan Yihang,

who is

always coward.

If you want to find information about Zhixia,

because Yan Yihang

only cares about his own interests,

I'm afraid that when you talks about the marriage,

he would expect that Zhixia will never be back.

Thanks for your advice, Mrs. Emerald,

and I know what to do now.

Do I need to do something

to people outside the door?

Let them eat!

Let them drink!

Your Majesty, my grandfather has been adhering to integrity

in his service for the three former emperors.

But Gong Ye made mischief

relying Her Majesty's favor.

That is a false accusation.

Your Majesty,

please do justice for my grandfather.

Gong Ye returned to the capital with the purpose of eradicating dissidents.

There are countless eyes around me here,

so how dare you come so rashly?

If they find you,

how do I explain to Prime Minister Lin?

It is only a matter of time for Gong Ye to eradicate all the dissidents.

I'm not afraid of a life-and-death struggle, no big deal.

But Your Majesty,

I just do not want to see you as a puppet any more.

If you want to do something,

I will go through fire and water

to serve you till my death!

Shut up.

Yan Qing,

I know what you are like,

and I know that you are eager to save your grandfather.

I don't blame you for that.

Just get up.

Gong Ye has outstanding military exploit,

high prestige,

and great military power.

Although he has the intention to revolt,

I have no evidence.

The deceased emperor has a strong foundation of power,

so he doesn't dare to act rashly.

I have to beat him at his own game

to protect Prime Minister Lin.

Yan Qing，

I admire your straightforward mind,

but I am the emperor.

If I act rashly,

causing military turmoil,

the consequences would be unthinkable.

But you're right,

Gong Ye is ambitious

and won't give up until he reaches his goal.

So it is only a matter of time for him to eradicate all the dissidents.

He is bound to do something.

The Imperial Exam?

Yes,

it must be the Imperial Exam.

Although Gong Ye holds military power in his hands,

he doesn't have much support from the civilian officials.

The Imperial Exam is at the corner.

He is bound to act.

Your Majesty,

so,

what can I do?

The situation is unclear at the moment,

so we have to wait for the right moment.

Your Majesty,

Your Majesty, I beg for your mercy!

I,

I really didn't mean to be late, Your Majesty!

Dad!

You arranged my third cousin

to take the Imperial Exam?

Why do you not put your mind on the emperor?

but worry about me?

Dad,

you have great military skills

and high morality,

and you have always been an example for me.

But now,

you prefer to eliminate dissidents,

and take advantage of the situation to gain power.

And even me

is just a chip in your hand!

You've never cared about

my happiness, right?

Shut up!

I don't care about your happiness?

Isn't it your dream to marry Yan Jin?

Are all these painstaking plans

just for myself?

I also want to have a comfortable retired life and play with my grandchildren.

But is it possible?

How many people in the State of Dongsheng have been forcing us to separate

and caused the death of your mother?

You know all the hardships and injustice

we have suffered.

Dad, stop it!

How many people out there

were hoping us to die at the border?

Now we are back,

but one day,

we will have to face the same choice.

By that time,

it will not be up to you to choose between success and failure!

General,

Mrs. Gong's death is a pain in her heart,

and she has just returned to the capital,

why did you add salt

to her wound?

Zhiyue is a perfect girl,

but her only weakness is that when facing Yan Jin,

she is too hesitant.

If I don't put some pressure on her,

she won't wake up.

But such stimulation

is kind of cruel.

What is cruelty?

Born in my family,

she is doomed to struggle for a lifetime.

If she still

can't wake up now,

she would face the real cruelty

in the future.

It's done!

I really made it!

Ha-ha!

Where are the things in my box?

Zhixia?

You…

Why are you still here?

What if someone finds you?

I felt strange that night.

I shouldn't have let you mess things up!

This is a crime of deceiving the emperor.

You'll get killed, don't you know?

Who knows if you don't say it?

I'm telling you what,

you must keep it a secret,

and don't tell anyone else!

I can keep it a secret,

but first you must see the emperor with me,

asking him to let you out of the palace.

No,

I can't get out.

Her Majesty is in power,

and the emperor cannot marry.

Did he force you to be dressed

as a eunuch and follow him?

Kind of.

But not really…

I thought grandpa's being trapped,

and Minister Yan's attempt to break the contract

were the greatest hardships for us.

I never expected…

Didn't you tell His Majesty

that you've had a marriage contract

before it happened?

Do you think I've done that

with His Majesty?

In that case, I'd rather become a nun, okay?

Stupid!

That's good. That's good.

Well,

Although I

have never taken our marriage

seriously,

in my heart,

I really think you as my own brother,

and the prime minister as my own grandpa.

Her Majesty is ruthless

and His Majesty can't help you.

For you, the top priority is not me,

but grandpa!

One more day in the Imperial Prison

will add to the danger for grandpa.

His Majesty has his concerns,

and I don't want to make it difficult for him.

I'll think of another plan

to save grandpa.

Just wait,

I will definitely help you out of the palace.

Ha-ha!

I, Jade Qilin of the Capital,

have experienced all kinds of difficulties.

A small imperial palace

cannot trap me.

Ha-ha!

Young master!

His Majesty asked me to wait

for an opportunity.

But Gong Ye has secretly formed a clique

and keeps acting for selfish ends.

I'm worried that they will hurt grandpa in the Imperial Prison.

Instead of waiting to die,

I would rather fight to the death.

We have been waiting for you to say that!

We will follow the Prime Minister to the death.

We'll save the Prime Minister out

even if we are crushed to powder!

Great!

Assemble your personnel and make deployment.

Let's do it tonight!

Yes！

What is this?

Your Majesty, you are handsome,

and have an elegant bearing.

The almond syrup

helps nourishing and moistening the skin.

If you drink it,

you may charm all women

of the state!

Just drink it without worry!

Well!

Well!

Why are you so attentive?

Just say it,

what do you want me to do?

Well,

neither Her Majesty

nor Mr. Hai called me these days,

I'm wondering

whether Her Majesty has doubted us.

Your Majesty,

how about we turn their trick to their own use?

Do I need to reveal some unimportant news?

You are you,

and I am I.

Don't say "us".

Your Majesty,

you can't leave me in the lurch.

You should be responsible

for your own trouble,

and I can't save you.

Your Majesty!

Brother!

Brother!

-It's you! -It's you!

Cool,

you even know the princesses.

I don't know her! -I don't know him!

What's that?

Brother,

have you heard of a kind of delicious food among the people,

called stinky bean curd?

No, what's that?

This plain ball before your eyes

has gathered the essence of stinky bean curd.

It comes from distant seas and mountains.

Although it smells bad,

it is tender inside and crisp outside, and very delicious,

carrying the free and easy life!

The smell of mountains,

the smell of the wind

the smell of sunshine,

and also the smell of time

and human feelings.

What's your opinion?

Well,

stinky bean curd is really delicious.

And the essence…

must be

extremely delicious!

You two do have a special taste.

It must be a trick of that wicked girl and Anle.

I must…

Kid,

you look really agile.

Have you followed someone else

without telling me?

Master,

if you still teach me

those common skills,

I'm afraid I would really turn to someone else.

Why do you want to learn more skills?

The most important thing of life

is to be happy.

See what I've brought to you.

You know nothing about it！

It's the top-quality roasted chicken.

Master,

I asked you to investigate the true identity of Sanbao.

How is it going?

What?

You've been playing tricks on that girl.

Do you still need me to investigate it for you?

All right,

don't look at me like that.

You're just waiting for that girl to confess to you, right?

Sanbao

is the daughter of Minister Yan Yihang, and her name is Yan Zhixia.

She entered the palace to look for Mr. Wang.

Although it seems to be an accident that she's become your personal attendant,

in fact,

you made it happen.

It's strange.

Although the girl

is the daughter of a high-rank official,

she grew up at marketplaces

and acts like a rogue.

There is not a single sign of a girl of noble birth on her!

No,

I feel

it's nice

to live an unrestrained life.

According to my observation,

this girl is not evil-minded,

but deceiving the emperor is a big crime.

Even if you think it's fun,

You can't make her stay by your side;

otherwise, it will be harmful for her!

Is it that difficult

for me to make a friend?

I can be your good friend!

Come on, have a bite!

Master,

Stop it.

There is something urgent for me,

and you are the only one who can help me.

Look at you,

big deal?

I'll do it right away!
