~ Life is but a good dream ~

EPISODE 2

Miss He. Why are you here?

Lu dear. Her kungfu isn't bad

so I caught her to spar with you.

It's okay, I promise I won't kill again, or kill her.

I have an important task. I won't stay.

Train properly. Don't think of escape

or I won't keep you alive.

Miss.

Quickly, take this. Say nothing.

Leave now, or you can't escape.

If I escape, what will you do?

I'm sparing your life.

That's a blessing.

Why bother about me? Go now.

No. Let's go together.

I don't know what you suffered

but today I understand

not obeying her is torturous.

Her kungfu is too powerful.

If we both escape, she'll chase us to the end.

We won't get far.

Let's go and live day by day.

Run ten days, be happy ten days.

Even if we don't escape, we'll be happy.

At least there's still hope.

If you lack courage, just kill me.

I don't fear death. I fear seeing you suffer alone.

We met by chance.

I've no ties with you.

Then what am I doing with you?

I.....

I have an idea.

Lu dear.

I have a surprise. Make a guess.

I embroidered this. Is it nice? Here.

Lu dear, what's wrong?

I.....

Don't move.

You better not move.

I placed many traps here.

You better let me go.

What are you trying to do?

Let me leave with him on a fast horse.

Once we're safe, I'll let him go.

You better think carefully.

No matter where you run,

I'll never let you off.

Back off. Better do what I say.

Or else I'll...

Don't kill him.

Okay. I agree.

You...

I'm fine. We escaped.

That's right. We'll live day by day.

Don't frown again. Understand?

What do you plan next?

This big world must have a place for us...

I'll go to the Great Wall, you go to the desert.

Or I stay in Jiangnan, you go to the plains.

I believe Li Mochou wouldn't find us.

Can't we be together?

Let's live and die together.

We only met twice.

Some people meet and feel they know each other...

despite being strangers.

You're the first to understand me.

I'll be with you forever.

I want to marry you.

I can hold you now.

I will be devoted to you all my life.

I will never betray you.

Lu dear, are you okay?

- I... - Li Mochou, you're formidable.

We ran so far but you caught up.

I put phosphorus on the horse's hooves. If it hadn't rained,

you'd be dead now!

I'll kill her!

I failed in nothing since I left the mountain.

You dare to play tricks on me.

I'll let you die now!

Lu dear.

You...

I love He YuanJuan. If you kill her, kill me too.

You lost your mind? Did this woman bewitch you?

It's okay. I don't blame you.

Come home. I'll cure you.

- Let's go... - Don't come near!

Li Mochou. Who do you think you are?

What right have you to control my life

and force me to do unhappy things?

Let me tell you.

I love He YuanJuan.

I'll live and die with her.

No. No!

I will kill her!

Wu SanTong - 'Solitary Yang Finger' I will kill her!

Wu SanTong - 'Solitary Yang Finger'

Leave!

Quickly!

I don't know what that woman is to you.

But we're fighting over them.

They're escaping together. Isn't that funny?

Run now!

- Ah Yuan, are you okay? - Fine. - Who are you?

Who is that man?

He's my husband.

I'll kill him!

Uncle, stop!

Stop!

If you kill Lu, I'll kill her.

You!

Let this woman see how it feels.

YuanJuan, are you afraid?

With you here, I'm not afraid.

Okay. Bring it on!

Reverend Yideng Dali Sky Dragon Temple - South King Great

Teacher.

SanTong. Love is a willing couple.

You have SanNiang. Why commit more sins?

Who are you to butt in?

You have guts!

You're rude to a Great Hero?

So what if he's a Great Hero?

What's so great?

I'll test your patience.

Why are you persisting?

Everything I've done is for him

yet he betrayed me.

If I don't take revenge,

I'm not human!

I can't beat your superlative kungfu.

You might as well kill me today.

Or else...

I'll make them suffer for my pain

a thousand times more!

Amituofo, grudges are inescapable.

Love causes worry and fear.

No love, no worry or fear.

I understand your complaint

but all love and hatred are short lived.

Even if one is rash in the moment...

one later realizes it was idiocy.

I have advice.

I don't know if you'll listen.

You know my kungfu surpasses yours.

If you push to get revenge, it worsens your hurt.

Why don't you leave now?

Meet again in ten years.

If you reflect and let it go in ten years,

that's best. But if you're still suffering,

and nothing changes, I won't get involved.

What do you do think?

I can't get satisfaction today.

Okay, you're lucky today.

But, Lu ZhanYuan, let me tell you.

You must wait for me.

I'll come back for you.

You better stay well.

Don't get injured or die.

I'll surely find you.

Thanks, Master, for saving us. We're grateful.

In Buddhism, fate is fate, good or evil.

You and I have fate. That's why I'm here.

But that woman holds too much anger.

I don't know what she'll do in future.

Hopefully she'll think it through.

SanTong, SanNiang, let's go.

Yes.

Ah Yuan, I...

The mortal world ties one to pain.

Avoid disordered thoughts to have peace.

It's a pity the world is full of blind children

who take all emotions to heart.

What happened?

Why doesn't it open?

Mochou. Don't waste your energy.

I changed the lock. You can't enter.

Teacher, I know my wrongdoings.

You're right. Men are toxic.

I suffered because of this. I won't sneak out again.

Master, give me a chance.

Foolish! Foolish!

Why can't you see it?

Has your chastity dot gone?

How can you return to the Tomb?

Would you be able to stay? Go now.

Don't come back to Mount Zhongnan.

Our teacher-student bond is severed.

You...take care of yourself.

No, Teacher.

As long as you trust me,

I will be able to stay.

Okay. Make a vow

you'll never leave again

or you'll die in flames.

If you swear it, I'll let you in.

If I can't leave Ancient Tomb,

how will I get revenge on that man?

Teacher.

Please let me out once more.

I said you won't be able to stay.

In that case, leave.

Teacher.

I decided. No need to discuss it.

Leave.

You're no longer an Ancient Tomb disciple.

Don't disturb disciples.

My disciples are few and I'm older.

And now you're banished.

Do you understand?

That was when I last saw Sister as a child.

Seeing her sad face,

I half-understood Teacher's comment about men.

Teacher, don't worry. I won't be like Sister.

I'll heed you and never leave Ancient Tomb.

Get up.

- 10 years later -

Carry it onto the boat.

Okay.

Put that there.

Come quickly.

[ Yuan ]

He YuanJuan?

What's going on?

[ Yuan ]

Lady, we're small merchants.

Let us off and I'll repay you.

I don't do things for money.

Then how'd I offend you?

Because...

your boat has "Yuan" written on it.

Of three words - He Yuan Juan -

I kill when I see one word.

But...this is Nan Jiang.

All boats here have the name "Yuan".

Is that so?

Then you're all unlucky.

Run now!

Run!

[ Quanzhen Taoist Sect - Chongyang Palace ]

Priest Qiu ChuJi

Lately, Ancient Tomb's disciple

Li Mochou is wreaking havoc in the Jianghu.

Has everyone heard?

Leader, the Wulin says that woman is crazy.

She kills anyone in her path.

I'm willing to lead disciples to seek justice.

We uphold virtue and oppose unrighteousness.

She's vicious, so we ought to step in.

But Ancient Tomb and Quanzhen have long ties.

Our intervention might be inappropriate.

- ZhiBing. - Present.

Go and inform Ancient Tomb sect.

I believe they'll take action.

Yes, Leader.

The Leader of Ancient Tomb died.

I heard the new leader is a young girl.

While there, be respectful

and explain to them clearly.

Avoid adding new grudges to old ones.

I understand.

Leader.

Brother ZhiBing has ability

but he's young and inexperienced.

What if he's lured by the girl?

I'll go in his place.

ZhiJing, you're impatient.

You're not as calm as ZhiBing.

ZhiBing is more suitable.

Leader...

- The meeting's over. - Yes, Leader.

Senior Zhao, please...

Don't blame me for arguing then.

I'm worried you'll see bad things.

Jianghu looks nice but it's an evil world.

Leader's entrusting you with this isn't good.

I'll say no more. Good luck.

Teacher.

Why'd you leave without seeing me?

I came back to bow to you.

Sister. I want to bow to Teacher.

How can you be unsympathetic?

Teacher said if you leave here, you can't come back.

I can't disobey. I'm sorry.

Aren't you just afraid I'll take your Jade Heart Manual?

When Teacher was alive, I held back.

Now Teacher's gone, do you think this stone door can stop me?

Jade Bee Gold Needle

Sister. Have you forgotten how well I once treated you?

Now I want to visit Teacher, you mistreat me?

It's Teacher's order. I've no choice. Here.

This Royal Bee Jelly detoxifies your poison.

I disobeyed an order for you.

Next time, I won't be soft.

Leave.

Miss. Are you from Ancient Tomb?

So what if I am or not.

You must be. I'm Zhen ZhiBing of Quanzhen.

I was told to inform you

Li Mochou has killed innocents for years.

Because your Sect hasn't stopped her,

Quanzhen will step in if needed.

So please take responsibility.

By vilifying Li Mochou, aren't you afraid?

I'm talking to you. How'd she know?

You're talking about Li Mochou to Li Mochou. She knows.

Your pitiful stupidity angers me!

Xiao Long Nu - Little Dragon Maiden

Sister, you're killing again?

You finally showed up.

I thought you're heartless about the world.

But you came out for a nobody.

Teacher won't rest in peace.

What rot are you speaking?

Isn't this so?

I was kicked out over a man.

You came outside for a man. Aren't we two of a kind?

So you should be fair.

Give me the Jade Maiden Manual.

That depends on your ability.

Miss, be careful. This witch has poison.

Sister, don't come back.

And don't speak more nonsense.

Don't say I forgot our sisterhood.

I won't let it rest.

Miss!

I overhead your conversation.

Teacher made plans to deal with Li Mochou.

Don't worry.

Can such a beautiful girl exist?

disciple Hong Lingbo

Teacher.

What are you doing?

I... I'm practising kungfu.

- Kungfu? - Yes.

If you're that envious of them,

you can leave with them.

- Really, Teacher? - Sure.

I hate women who please men. I kill them all.

If you go, I'd kill them and not see you envying them.

No, Teacher. I don't envy them.

I just want to help you resolve your grievance.

Grievance?

Don't you hate Lu ZhanYuan?

He betrayed you for He YuanJuan.

He YuanJuan is now an old woman. I'm young and pretty.

I'll learn dancing and seduce Lu ZhanYuan.

Teacher, why'd you beat me again?

You're so dumb, you think you're smart.

- I'll change. - Cut the crap.

What about the news I asked for?

Lu Estate has Lu ZhanYuan, his wife, daughter and niece.

Only I am alone.

Everyone is paired up.

It's already been ten years.

For ten years,

the hatred and grudge in my heart

grew more violent.

Lu ZhanYuan, what about you?

Did you think about me

or about our past?

No, you wouldn't.

You're a betrayer.

I must make you pay.

Guard against the spring chill.

What are you thinking of?

I'm thinking of how we first met.

That's right, ten years flew by.

Ten years.

ZhanYuan, I feel uneasy recently.

Ten years passed. I fear that woman...

You're overthinking. After years,

she'd have forgotten.

And if she comes to kill us,

we'll die together.

But we still have a daughter.

Don't worry, I'll protect you and our daughter.

- Dad, Mom! - Uncle, Aunt, we're back.

Where'd you go? Your hair is messy.

I made her go shopping.

I wanted to go. You couldn't stop me.

You have no money. How'd you get candies?

A strange man gave them to us.

That man asked all about Mom.

We told him and he gave us candies.

Strange man?

ZhanYuan, did that woman send him?

Ying'er, Wushuang, where's that man?

He's at the front door.

He was there.

He was just here.

Uncle Candy.

He was here just now.

ZhanYuan, did that woman send him?

No. She'd come herself to kill us.

Why'd she send someone?

Who could he be?
