"Ashes of Love"

"Episode 39"

Make me another Immortality Destructing Arrow.

I'll get rid of your Body Decomposing Silkworm...

and give your freedom back.

You can then find your Princess of Biancheng to rekindle your love.

How about it?

You don't believe me?

I have transferred all my magical prowess to you.

You now have the protection of the glass fire.

You must revive the bird tribe...

and help Xu Feng to ascend the throne.

I understand.

Xu Feng and the bird tribe depend on you.

Do not let me down.

Night Immortal is really good.

No matter which move I make,

I won't be able to win.

You admit defeat already?

Even if I continue to struggle,

the results will not change.

I, Yin Que, have lost.

It's my honour to play this chess match with you.

What did you say?

The bird tribe's granary is now empty?

After the Flora Realm cuts our food supply,

Flora Realm and the bird tribe are not on good terms.

Although Flora Realm does not stop providing flowers and grains,

the quantity is lesser.

The granary doesn't store any extra food.

Why didn't you tell me this important matter earlier?

Elder Yin Que asks to meet you.

- Let him come in. - Yes.

Leave first.

Okay.

Greetings, leader.

Do you know about the food shortages in the bird tribe?

What do you mean?

I am the leader of the bird tribe,

naturally, I'll know this.

That's good.

I'm worried that you've been staying at Heaven Realm every day...

and forgotten your own tribe.

Since you've already known about this,

why didn't you do anything yet?

Everyone in the tribe is dying of hunger.

I have my own plans.

The previous Heavenly Empress appointed you as the leader...

and helped you to handle the bird tribe's issues,

only then, the bird tribe was revived.

Now, the Heavenly Empress has lost her power.

The elders are worried if you can handle this huge responsibility...

and protect the bird tribe.

I will solve the famine within 3 days.

I'll prove that...

I become the leader because of my own abilities.

Then, I'll be anticipating it.

Please wait.

Don't you have anything else to report?

What do you mean?

I'm talking about your meeting with the Demon Lord at the Demon Realm.

Do I need to report my meeting with an old friend to you?

If you have the time,

it's better to solve the famine earlier.

Xu Feng controls the Divine Army Mansion...

and the Heaven Realm Portal.

It is a huge responsibility.

But Xu Feng is so ill-mannered and rebellious.

I'm very worried.

I think...

I'll hand it over to you for now.

Message from Sui He from the bird tribe.

The life of the bird tribe depends on the granary.

Although the Flora Realm has continued the supply,

but our food supply was cut off for few years,

now our granary is becoming empty,

our lives are badly affected.

I sincerely request the Heaven Realm to open the heavenly granary...

to help the bird tribe with this issue.

Please make a wise judgement.

Leader.

- Is there any news from Heaven Realm? - No.

This won't do.

I have to go to the Heaven Realm personally...

to ask for food supply from the Heavenly Emperor.

But Yin Que and the other elders are...

at the main hall waiting for the meeting with you.

It's not suitable for you to leave now.

All of them want to see me fail at this.

It won't be that easy.

Yin Que,

today, I'll make sure you pay for meeting the Demon Lord.

If the leader doesn't ask for food supply from Heaven Realm...

The leader has arrived!

- We are dying. - That's right.

Three days have passed.

Do you have any idea to solve the famine?

I have notified the Heaven Realm...

but they haven't responded.

I think this has to do with Yin Que.

The bird tribe is having famine...

and Heaven Realm refuses to help us.

What does this have to do with Elder Yin Que?

Elder Yin Que went to meet the Demon Lord...

in the Demon Realm a few days ago.

The Heavenly Emperor knew about this...

and is not happy with it.

He thinks we want to rebel.

If I didn't assure Heavenly Emperor that...

bird tribe is loyal to Heaven Realm,

the Heavenly Emperor would have destroyed the bird tribe.

This...

I have no idea that my meeting with an old friend in Demon Realm...

would create such a huge issue.

If Heavenly Emperor doesn't want to provide us food because of this,

I'm willing to follow you...

to meet the Heavenly Emperor to clarify this issue...

to remove the doubts that the Heavenly Emperor has towards the bird tribe...

and obtain the food supply...

to solve the urgent needs of the bird tribe.

Elder Yin Que is right.

Why don't Elder Yin Que and you...

go to the Heaven Realm...

to solve this quickly?

Then does Elder Yin Que have any proof...

that he has nothing to do with the Demon Realm?

Since the Heaven Realm has not made an attack,

it means...

they have no proof that I have made a pact with the Demon Realm.

You aren't able to obtain food supply.

So, are you trying to put the blame on me?

For the past thousand years,

I have worked hard for the bird tribe...

to make the bird tribe stronger.

I have put in so much effort when...

the bird tribe is in trouble.

Due to Elder Yin Que's misconduct,

the relationship between Heaven Realm and the bird tribe is affected.

Elder Yin Que, may I know...

if we can ask for food supply...

from the Demon Realm instead?

Leader,

Elder Yin Que.

It's pointless for both of you to argue here.

The situation is urgent.

Why not go to the Heaven Realm...

and declare our loyalty to the Heavenly Emperor?

It's more important to obtain the food supply quickly.

The Night Immortal has arrived.

Greetings, Lord Night Immortal.

Your Highness.

You are not here to play...

the chess with me, am I right?

I heard that you have met with the Demon Lord recently.

May I know what did you talk about?

I see.

I was just catching up with Demon Lord.

We didn't discuss anything else.

Nobody knows what you have discussed.

But the Heaven Realm knows about this.

It's difficult to avoid any misunderstanding.

If the Heavenly Emperor has any misunderstanding,

it might cause troubles for the bird tribe.

The Heavenly Emperor asked me to investigate this.

How do you think I should report this?

I am slow-witted.

Do you have any ideas?

I know that...

the Heaven Realm has controlled many things about the bird tribe.

But after what happened to the dragonfish tribe,

the previous Heavenly Empress has assigned Tai Lake and...

other places to the bird tribe.

Compared to the previous times, bird tribe has been really successful.

All of you should be satisfied.

What do you want to say actually?

Please be straightforward.

I don't like to beat around the bush.

Since you said so,

then I'll be honest.

There is something which I hope you can help me with.

I am just an elder of the bird tribe.

I don't think I can do anything.

If the bird tribe knows...

that you are the one who tells about...

bird tribe's troops deployment map,

do you think...

you can still have influence over the bird tribe?

I'm here as the special envoy of the Heaven Realm...

under the order of the Heavenly Emperor...

to solve the famine issue of the bird tribe.

Thank you for coming over to solve the famine.

We are really grateful.

There's another thing to settle as well.

What are you referring to? I'm willing to help.

Lord Yin Que went to meet the Demon Lord...

at the Demon Realm recently.

You must have known about this.

Lord Yin Que personally met the Demon Lord,

he has evil intentions.

If Night Immortal wants to punish him, I'll cooperate.

But please don't doubt the bird tribe's loyalty to the Heaven Realm.

It seems like you can't wait to punish Lord Yin Que.

Princess Sui He requested military assistance from Heaven Realm...

she wanted to use Divine Army to handle rebellion at Yi Miao Continent.

But Heavenly Emperor doesn't believe that the bird tribe will rebel.

So he asked me to investigate.

I'm here today...

to announce the results of the investigation.

Lord Yin Que went to the Demon Realm...

for a personal reason.

Don't let this issue affect...

the relationship between the bird tribe and the Heaven Realm.

So it's not the Heavenly Emperor who wants to punish the bird tribe.

But you're the one who asked for military assistance to attack Yin Que.

I requested it because I was desperate.

I see.

Luckily things didn't go out of hands.

However, you do not care about famine issue of the bird tribe.

But you find ways to attack Yin Que.

Princess Sui He, you seem to have the order reversed

When did I not care about the famine issue?

I have reported to Heaven Realm 3 days ago.

We didn't receive your report.

It's impossible.

If Lord Yin Que didn't come to the Heaven Realm and report this,

it might have taken forever for Heaven Realm to know.

Sui He,

you do not deserve being our leader.

Yes, you do not deserve being our leader.

- Yes. - You don't deserve it!

Princess Sui He,

as what everyone is saying,

in order to remove your opponent and attack Lord Yin Que,

you didn't care about the bird tribe's welfare.

The Heavenly Emperor is disappointed in you.

His Majesty has ordered me to handle this issue.

But I think that this...

has to be agreed...

by the elders of the bird tribe.

Since the Heavenly Emperor trusts Night Immortal,

we will listen to you.

However, may I know what is your decision?

I think that...

Princess Sui He...

has no intention to take care of the welfare of the bird tribe.

It's better to let someone else do this.

However, this is just a suggestion.

The final decision is in your hands.

Lord Yin Que has successfully requested for food from Heaven Realm,

he has made a great contribution.

He always worries about the bird tribe.

He will certainly lead bird tribe to success.

I elect him...

to handle the welfare of the bird tribe for now.

We elect Elder Yin Que...

to handle the welfare of the tribe.

See you, Night Immortal.

Elder Yin Que,

the bird tribe is now your responsibility.

I admit defeat this time.

Since I know how you do things,

I do not dare to be disloyal.

Good.

The granary of the bird tribe has to be affected for 2 days.

Sui He will ask for help from the Heaven Realm.

But her report will disappear.

I hope you will ask for the food supply then.

I'll then use this opportunity to...

help you to gain control of the bird tribe.

It seems like I can't reject.

As long as you will lead the bird tribe to support me,

one day,

you'll be the leader of the bird tribe.

You can relax...

and do as you like.

The leader?

Then who will you be in the future?

You're really good, Night Immortal.

I can't win no matter how I play.

Yin Que.

You didn't make a pact with the Demon Lord, but with Run Yu.

I am doing all these for the future of the bird tribe.

I'm not doing things for selfish reason like you.

Don't worry.

I'll help you to take care of the welfare of the bird tribe.

Let's go.

- Finally, we're here. - Yes.

- Look at this. - This needs 7 years of prowess.

Mu Ci.

I'll find you...

no matter where you go.

Hurry and run!

Is Mu Ci making another Immortality Destructing Arrow?

Is he going to hurt Jin Mi again?

Greetings, Princess Sui He.

Go to the Heaven Realm...

and kill Run Yu for me.

Night Immortal is the son of the Heavenly Emperor.

So?

He destroyed everything that I've done for many years.

I want to kill him.

Night Immortal has high magical prowess.

I've used up too much magical prowess to make Immortality Destructing Arrow.

Even if I have Immortality Destructing Arrow,

I am no match for him.

Then I'll go with you.

If godmother knows that you miss her so much,

she will be really happy.

Why are you here?

I heard that the bird tribe is now controlled by Elder Yin Que.

I think it must have something to do with you.

Seems like you've started taking action.

I just want to...

fulfil my mother's wish.

But godmother had done many wrong things for this wish back then.

What are you trying to say?

I just hope that you won't repeat her mistakes.

In the end, you will forget your original intention...

after doing many bad things.

I can't make mistake after taking this path.

A single mistake...

will ruin the whole plan.

I can't lose.

But when you chose this path,

have you ever thought about Jin Mi?

She is innocent.

She shouldn't be manipulated by you.

Neither should she get hurt because of you.

Xuan Ji Palace?

- He's gone into Xuan Ji Palace? - Yes.

Follow me.

Fish Fairy.

Fish Fairy!

Fish Fairy, are you here?

Fine then, I couldn't repay your kindness for saving my life.

I've come here but you're not here.

I'll leave it here then.

Run Yu is not here...

but you're here instead.

This is good,

it's a rare opportunity.

Use the Immortality Destructing Arrow to kill her.

This Dendrobium is nourishing.

It can help you to regain your magical prowess quickly.

I hope that this Dendrobium can help with your wounds.

I hope it can help you.

Why don't we stay in mortal world and become a normal couple?

If you hurt Jin Mi again, you'll be my enemy.

Stop doing these bad things.

I know you aren't a bad person.

Hurry!

Your Highness.

Jin Mi.

Jin Mi.

- Take care of her. - Yes.

Your Highness.

You still care about me.

Jin Mi was hurt by the fire spell.

Why did you do that?

Why else would I do this?

You only think of her.

But she sent medicine to Night Immortal.

I was upset.

Mi Er.

What has happened?

Someone wanted to hurt Jin Mi just now.

Fire Immortal managed to save her.

Where is he?

He has gone after the culprit.

Go and help Xu Feng.

I'll take care of Jin Mi.

That'd be great.

Mi Er.

Mi Er.

Mi Er.

Fish Fairy.

What happened just now?

I sent medicine for you just now.

When I was leaving, somehow...

I was attacked and fell down.

Then I can't remember anything else.

Did you save me, Fish Fairy?

It wasn't me.

Xu Feng saved you.

This happened at Xuan Ji Palace,

was I the target?

But when you chose this path,

have you ever thought about Jin Mi?

She is innocent.

She shouldn't be manipulated by you.

Neither should she get hurt because of you.

It's my fault.

I swear...

I won't let you get hurt in the future.

Thank you, Fish Fairy.

I'm fine now.

Your Highness, I didn't mean to hurt her.

It was Qi Yuan.

He's the one who wanted to kill Jin Mi in mortal world.

I know.

He is a friend of Princess of Biancheng.

I have promised Liu Ying that I won't kill him.

But he still hasn't changed.

Today he wanted to kill someone again,

you should not spare his life.

Liu Ying told me...

he is a kind person.

I trust her.

Thank you, Xu Feng.

Mu Ci.

Where is Jin Mi? Is she alright?

Jin Mi is fine.

His target wasn't Jin Mi.

Xu Feng,

there's Body Decomposing Silkworm in his body.

It needs to be fed regularly.

Someone is manipulating him.

He was forced to do everything that he did in the past.

He had no other choice.

Body Decomposing Silkworm?

This is a forbidden spell. Did my mother do this?

Aunt saved his life.

It's his own choice to help her.

Now that aunt is in the prison,

you're trying to blame it on her.

- It's ungracious. - Sui He!

My mother is now in the prison...

and has received punishment.

I hope you don't blame her.

Since you let Mu Ci off, I have no other request.

I just want to bring Mu Ci back and never leave him again.

I'm willing to take the blame for the crimes that Mu Ci has done.

No matter what's the reason,

if you hurt Jin Mi again,

I won't let you off easily.

I will honour the promise that I made in mortal world.

I'll save you if you're in danger.

But you better don't try to challenge my bottom line.

I want to see Jin Mi.

She is taking a rest, she is fine now.

I heard that you saved her today

I thank you on behalf of her.

Do you manage to find the culprit?

Sui He was upset and hurt Jin Mi.

Sui He?

This is not a minor issue.

Let's inform father.

There's no need.

Sui He...

She did this because of me.

I'll find her to settle this.

Let me see her.

Xu Feng.

Because of you,

the Heavenly Empress and Sui He hurt Jin Mi.

Will you only stop when she is killed?

I have asked Kuang Lu to ask Water Immortal to bring her back.

You may go back now.

Xu Feng,

I have done so much for you.

Now, I have no more control over the bird tribe.

I have lost everything.

But you only think of Jin Mi.

Why?

Why?

Xu Feng.

Jin Mi.

Hope to meet you at midnight at the court...

to talk about Jin Mi. I look forward to seeing you.

How long are you going to hold my hand?

Forever.

You are a princess of the Demon Realm.

Why must you be involved with me?

Because you're worth it.

I...

I didn't hurt your friend.

So,

I won't let you look down on me.

My Mu Ci is finally back.

Where did you go?

Why did you make Immortality Destructing Arrow again?

I wanted to kill Jin Mi...

to exchange for the Body Decomposing Silkworm from Heavenly Empress.

But at the last moment,

I suddenly thought that...

dying would be better than...

letting you down.

I...

Don't worry.

I'll find a way to heal you.

Father.

Mi Er.

Here, drink the medicine while it's still warm.

Okay.

Have some rock candies to get rid of the bitterness.

Mi Er.

Can you please stop making me worry about you?

You always get injured recently.

Sui He and her aunt are similar.

This has to be reported to the Heavenly Emperor.

Sui He loves Xu Feng.

So I can understand why she hates me.

Then who is the person that you love?

Honestly, I don't know.

My heart feels empty.

I have no idea why.

Father,

what should I do?

I know that you are thoughtful,

you didn't want to put us in a difficult situation.

I wanted to make a right decision for you.

But after everything that has happened recently,

I think of your mother...

and what had happened back then.

I finally understand...

why Zhi Fen hid your identity and kept you in the Water Mirror.

Now,

you're suffering because of love.

Then I won't be marrying anyone in this lifetime.

I will stay by your side...

and there won't be any more sufferings.

Silly child,

it's useless to run away.

Since you have returned to my side,

be brave in making a decision.

Whether it is Fire Immortal or Night Immortal,

I will always support your choice as long as you are happy.

Thank you, father.
