Liangliang, you were waiting for me?

Becoming mischievous again?

- Don't--- It's been forty seconds!

- Ouch, ouch!- Does it hurt?

Don't--!

- Ouch!- Don't bother me.

Dr. Jiang, are you okay?

Wu Julan?

Come!

What is it?

I need to sniff you first, to check if you have any residual bio-weapon on you.

I think, that looking at you,

I can no longer stay nonchalant.

Jiang Yisheng said you suffer from depression. Initially, I didn't think much of it.

But after last night, your illness suddenly acted up!

You almost got me killed!

So, for my safety,

for the safety and peace of the world and the island,

I have decided to help you cut things off!

Cut things off?

Don't be nervous! I'm just cutting off your illness!

I have a magical medicine book.

I don't usually give it to outsiders.

However, I've decided to give it to you!

Who told you to be my good friend?

This book gave me hope when I was suffering.

It gave me bravery when I was tired!

Keep it well!

Take it out one day when you're sad.

I guarantee your illness won't act up again!

Humor and Jokes, 500 norms.[Family Humor and Jokes, 500 Norms.]

Is there a problem?

Actually, I know. An ill patient like you

is most afraid of being abandoned by the world.

Your world is cold and lonely,

but you still have me! I can save you!

To help you find the value of continuing on in this life,

right now, I have to help you find a job!

In this scenario, you'll be rid of depression!

You can earn money for me, too!

I'd be killing two birds with one stone! Don't you think I'm amazing?

There's no time to waste! I'll go to the island's employment agency right now!

I'll see if there's any jobs suitable for you,

and find a job for myself, too, while I'm at it!

Excuse me, where is Number 37, Ocean Shell Road?

- Shen Luo's house? - Yeah.

It's ahead on this street,

the second entrance; you'll arrive after taking a left turn!

Okay.

Who are you to Shen Luo?

I'm her mom.

That's not right!

I've seen Shen Luo's mom before.

You don't look like her!

I'm her stepmother!

The old man left not too long ago! But this little flake

has already brought a shady person to live with her at home.

Who are you?

Who am I?

I need to ask you who you are.

This house is mine. Why are you here?

- I...- Fine, stop talking.

Where are your parents? Call them here.

I want to ask them how they taught you.

You young people these days don't follow the rules.

Did you know? A lone man and a lone woman living together is called illegal cohabitation!

In ancient times, you'd be dragged out and drowned!

How ridiculous.

It's fine if you won't admit to it.

You dare to even argue back to me? What is this attitude?

You--!

What is it?

Wu Julan, this is my stepmom.

Who is this? Your boyfriend?

No! He's just a good friend!

A good friend?

What kind of good friend? Are you able to resist gender differences?

He's already staying in your house, and washing your clothes!

Your friend is too nice, isn't he?

Xiao Luo, you know this. Your father's work is very busy.

Didn't he go overseas recently?

Your younger brother is preparing for his high school exams.

He has so much homework.

That's why, as for Grandpa's funeral,

I came alone to represent the family.

We've discussed it.

Grandpa's funeral doesn't have to be too complicated.

Make it simple. Just go through the motions.

I'll leave this matter to you.

The remaining matter is to split the wealth.

Auntie, you came all this way for that, right?

Of course!

We can't leave such a big matter to you alone!

I've discussed it with your father.

Your grandpa has a hundred-thousand yuan worth of bonds in the bank.

You and your little brother will each take fifty-thousand.

What's remaining after that is this house.

This house can probably be sold for five-hundred thousand yuan.

You can't stay here alone anyway. Just sell it.

It's the same rule. You and your little brother will each take twenty-five thousand.

None of you came to see Grandpa when he was sick.

Now that he's dead, you've finally appeared.

You didn't even ask about what happened to Grandpa.

The minute you open your mouth, you talk about selling the house?

I say, you child, why are you so immature?

Didn't I already tell you? Your father is busy, and your brother has exams.

So didn't we already leave Grandpa's matters to you?

As a college graduate, if you have to do such a small matter,

do you still need us elders to answer your questions?

The only thing we can't be at ease about,

is the matters about the wealth. Haven't I already come?

Don't ask any more. Grandpa's house definitely cannot be sold.

Get things straight, okay!

If we follow the law, your father and I

are the real first heirs of this house!

If we give you half,

it's already the utmost kindness! Don't ask for too much!

Don't think that I don't know what you're thinking!

You won't sell this house because you want to take it all as your own, right?

That's right! I do want to take this house as my own!

To you, this place,

is just an old house that you can sell for money.

But to me, it is all my memories with Grandpa.

It is also the only warm memories from my childhood!

If this house is sold,

what am I to use to reminisce about Grandpa?

What am I to use to reminisce about my only happy times?

Stop acting pitiful in front of me.

You can avoid selling this house.

Just hand over what your little brother deserves.

What? You can't hand it over?

If you can't, then you can only sell the house.

- In any case, there's only one thing I'll say! This house definitely cannot be sold!- What a joke!

Let me tell you. I didn't come to discuss this with you.

I came to notify you of the results of my discussion with your father!

Take my suitcase into the house.

I'm talking to you! Do you hear me?

Take my suitcase into the house!

I won't leave if this house isn't sold!

I want to see who can dare to kick me out!

Hey! Be careful! Don't get my suitcase dirty!

If you get it dirty, you won't be able to pay for it!

Even if I have to throw my life out there, I'll fight to the end!

Grandpa's house definitely cannot be sold!

But I don't have the money to fight until the end!

Xiao Luo, I can tell what your words mean.

Do you want to borrow money from me?

Talking about money hurts affection.

But I don't have any affection with anyone else that I can harm.

Grandpa is gone.

I want to protect this house for him.

I've calculated it all!

There's still fifty-thousand yuan left from what Grandpa left behind.

But this fifty-thousand is too far away from three-hundred thousand.

But I can't take out too much money either!

My maximum is fifty-thousand yuan.

Can you give me a little more?

I want to give you more, too! You know about me.

I love dating!

Do you know how expensive dating is?

It's already difficult to give out fifty-thousand yuan!

Why haven't you asked me?

I don't have such a perverse hobby like he does.

Da Tou, there's no need. I'm grateful for your good intentions.

What do you mean, there's no need?

Da Tou is a big boss!

You should ask him to borrow money!

Do you want to watch your grandpa's house get sold?

But Da Tou uses more money than us in his business!

You don't have to be at a loss.

I don't have much spare money right now either, but if it's a favor for you,

I will definitely help out.

Da Tou, thank you!

Alright, Da Tou!

Don't be fooled by looking at your usual face of a shrewd businessman.

When your close childhood friend really needs your help to get out of a tangle, you don't hesitate to help. Instead, you will do anything you can to help.

Business is business, friends are friends.

I've always been good to my friends!

Cut it out!

You're only good to Shen Luo! Let me tell you!

If I run into trouble in the future, you must help me!

Forget it! What kind of trouble could you run into?

Love trouble?

I have serious matters to attend. Let's talk another day.

Come, come, come. Come in and take a look.

How is it? It's not bad, right?

It doesn't look that bad!

Yes. It is a bit old,

but we've always kept it very well!

Moreover, aren't the youngsters of today more concerned about cultural appreciation?

If this small academy is left within the city,

it could be considered ancient architecture, right?

Yes, yes.

Hello? Xiao Luo.

I just went to the bank. I just transferred the money to you, yes.

Okay, I'll head out right now!

It's all thanks to you this time! I'll treat you to dinner later!

Sorry! This house isn't for sale! Please!

Don't bother with her. This house belongs to me and my husband. Our word goes.

No! It's really not for sale! Please go.

- What are you doing?- What kind of joke is this?

Shen Luo! You're being too ridiculous!

I'll pay for my brother's share.

I'm going to go get money right now. You just wait!

Don't think of getting anything from Grandpa's house anymore!

If you have no money, then you don't! For this stupid house,

you insist on begging everyone and bearing an enormous debt!

Let's see how you'll pay back that much money from now on!

Auntie!

You're looking for Xiao Luo? She's not here.

No, I was looking for you.

I'm Xiao Luo's friend, Zhou Buwen.

They all call me Da Tou. You should still remember, right?

Is there news on the Black Wizard?

I've already located that person.

But after following him for some time, I still let him escape.

What is that brat's name?

I heard from Violet that during all these years,

you and her have been researching the Black Wizard.

His name is An Zuo. That year, the one who stole your spiritual pearl was his master.

This time, he didn't obtain the spiritual pearl, and discovered my actions, too.

He will definitely come back again.

At the moment, we should hurry and find the spiritual pearl.

It'll be the fifteenth in a few days.

On the fifteenth, because I don't have the spiritual pearl,

I will become extremely weak.

I will still appear in my original form. That's why I need to be in the sea.

But on that day,

the spiritual pearl's power will become extremely strong.

I'll be able to feel where it is.

Three-hundred thousand, no more, no less. Count it carefully.

This three-hundred thousand definitely won't be fake.

But... I've consulted with someone from the intermediary company.

Based on our house's location,

and it's historical value,

this house is worth at least one million yuan.

What? A million?

Yes.

So, your younger brother's share is more than three-hundred thousand.

Let's call it at five hundred and fifty thousand

Do you think I'm a three year old child?

One million yuan? Who is it going to be sold to for a million?

Whoever it's sold to is my matter. You don't need to worry about that.

I think you're doing it on purpose!

You saw that I wanted to keep this house, so you're increasing the price!

How do you talk to elders?

It's my capability to be able to sell the house for a high price.

Besides, what is bad about you and your brother getting more of the money?

In your eyes, do you only see money?

Of course! Why must I hold anything against money?

Look at you! Why are you so small-minded?

With this money, you can leave the island,

and buy a studio condo in the city.

Since I've come back, I won't leave again!

I'm still going to say the same thing! I won't sell this house!

There's still two hundred and fifty thousand!

Hurry and earn money in these next few days!

I have no time to waste. I can't be squandering it here with you.

You're telling me to raise the price?

Yes. Just tell them that this house is worth one million yuan.

I'm asking her for five hundred and fifty thousand yuan.

Wouldn't she be able to tell how much this house is worth if she goes asking around?

It's too big of a difference for you to raise the price to one million. Who would buy it?

I'll buy it.

Auntie, actually, I've always loved this house.

But Grandpa and Xiao Luo wouldn't sell it.

You're the only one who can force Xiao Luo to sell this house.

Then, I will pay one million yuan to buy this house.

You're a loyal friend.

Very well. I'll tell Xiao Luo what you said.

Thank you, Auntie.

Da Tou?

Okay, okay, I'll head out right now!

Da Tou, it's all thanks to you this time!

That's not right.

Did you call Shen Luo just now?

Yes.

Did you agree to loan her some money?

If you want to force her to sell the house,

just don't loan her any money!

Why are you in such a toss?

Auntie, your heart is really as clear as a mirror (has insight).

Actually, I have a little ulterior motive.

I've liked Xiao Luo since childhood.

I want to have both this house and Xiao Luo.

You really know how to do business!

You're exaggerating, you're exaggerating.

What? The price doubled in one night?!

I really must say, your stepmom's haggling ability

is better than Da Tou's!

Don't compare just anyone to me, okay?

I don't know either. But listening to her speech, it sounds like she's already found a buyer.

I think...

your stepmom just wants to make some more money.

How could your father marry a woman like her? Honestly...

But besides giving her money, there's nothing else I can do.

Xiao Luo,

if you want me to pay another two hundred and fifty thousand then I really can't.

Don't blame me.

Da Tou, how could I blame you? You've already helped me out a lot.

I'm so mad! Don't tell me the way we deal with such a shrew,

is to just watch her bully us?

What else do you want to do?

I can't swallow this anger!

If Grandpa found out about this, could he leave in peace?

He'd come back before going even halfway!

He'd talk it over with your stepmom, too!

Perhaps, even give her a whipping!

Enough! What use is saying all that?

I have a way!

I'll let stepmom swagger and strut around.

Su Guifang.

Su Guifang.

Su Guifang!

You've finally come to see me?

You, you, you--! Think properly over there!

I-I-I-I'll burn some more paper money for you!

I heard that you wanted to sell my house.

Then where am I supposed to live when I come back?

You, you, you! You were fine over there!

Why have you come back?

You came back to see me anyway.

Every annual Mid-Autumn Festival and Ching Ming Festival,

shouldn't I still come back to visit family?

Oh, I understand.

From now on, I'll go to the city.

I'll stay at your place.

I'll watch my son, my grandson.

The most important thing is to properly watch you!

No, no, no!

No! I was wrong! I was wrong!

Don't think that I don't know what you've done.

Because you are an elder,

you bullied Xiao Luo!

With those sort of actions,

not only do I have to watch you,

I also want to take you away!

I want to have a nice chat with you down there!

I'll teach you how to be a human!

No, no, no! I don't want that! I don't want that!

No!

I-I don't want the five-hundred and fifty thousand anymore!

Four-four-four-four hundred and fifty thousand is enough!

How dare you! I came all the way here,

and you still dare to add another hundred-thousand!?

Stop bargaining! Hurry up! Don't get discovered!

T-Then I'll stick with the original three-hundred thousand!

Can you not lower the price more?

No, no, no! I can't lower it anymore!

It will... It will be making a loss, making a loss!

What loss is there?

Must be cheap! A little cheaper!

How dare you dress up as a god and play the devil (try to deceive)!

Aiyo, I just saw that everyone was under a lot of pressure recently!

I wanted to create some excitement!

- Is that so?- Yes, it was a joke!

I'll let you create some excitement today!

I'll let you create excitement today!

I was wrong, I was wrong!

I know I was wrong! Calm down, calm down!

Calm down?

- You dare to pretend to be a ghost? I'll beat you to death!- I know I was wrong!

- No, you can't!- I'll teach you a lesson for your parents!

Stop!

- Auntie, I know I was wrong!- Stop right there, you brat!

I'll beat you to death!

- Stop right there!- Auntie, don't hit me anymore!

Jiang Yisheng, I'm sorry!

Stop!

- I was wrong, I was wrong! Stop chasing me!- Stop right there!

Stop right there! I'll beat you to death, you brat!

Where are you going to run?

- Go!- I'm going to beat you to death!

I'm dead!

Let's see where you'll run!

What are you doing, you brat? Come out here, you brat!

Weren't you so full of arrogance just now?

Why are you a coward now?

Let me tell you! Don't let me see you again!

Otherwise, I'll beat you every time I see you!

I'll hit you until you're paralyzed!

You young people really are interesting!

One just left, and now another one comes?

Can you use your brains?

Besides pretending to be a ghost, can't you do anything else?

Do you really think that I, Su Guifang, grew up being frightened?

I say, you fake ghosts!

Even if a real ghost appears now, I'll rip him to shreds!

Hurry and get lost!

You insist that I take action?

Get lost!

Auntie, it was our fault, pretending to be a ghost and scaring you.

No, no, no.

Xiao Luo, it's all my fault.

I didn't sleep at all last night!

I was just thinking how to apologize to you!

What's wrong, Auntie?

What's wrong with me?

My conscience has undergone deep condemnation.

How could I do something like this?

Especially to my own daughter!

This kind of behavior is really worse than that of a beast!

God and men will all be indignant! Heaven will not tolerate it!

Xiao Luo, I've thought about it.

Your brother is still young. Three hundred thousand is enough!

If you give me even one more dollar, I definitely won't take it!

I definitely won't take it!

It's getting late. I-I have to hurry and take the boat back.

I'm leaving!

Auntie! Calm down, calm down!

Look! Look!

What did I say before? My plan is definitely feasible.

She ran away faster than a bunny! Why did she run that fast?

Because I scared her!

With acting skills like mine, why am I a doctor?

I should go be a movie star! I'd win an Oscar for best actor!

Liangliang, don't become too obsessed with me.

Don't think that I didn't see how she beat you up.

What did you see?

You just saw the front, and not the back!

Let me tell you, things completely changed in the end!

She cried and begged me to not scare here again!

She said she was about to go crazy!

Enough, stop acting. I'm tired just looking at you.

Xiao Luo, finally, you can now settle your anxious heart.

Congratulations. Let's celebrate.

Thank you all for being so supportive of me during these few days.

Those with money gave money, and those with ability gave out that ability.

I will definitely thank all of you in a few days!

Also, Da Tou, thank you for supporting me so much. You were a real friend this time.

I will definitely pay back your money very soon.

It's no rush.

Subtitles brought to you by the Gone with the Shirt Team @ Viki

Brother Tou!

You've come?

I've done what you told me to!

Um, there's no signs of Photoshop at all!

I've done a thorough check!

Then you mean that picture is real?

Yes. My friend is a wedding photographer.

There won't be problems with him checking.

That's right. Did you see any treasures in that picture?

Your brother here is short of money lately. You have to think of me, alright?

Don't worry. I will definitely take good care of you.

Wu Julan!

Wu Julan.

Look at my eyes!

What is it?

Tell me honestly. Was it your doing?

What was?

Stop acting! I know it was your doing!

Last night, what did you do to my stepmom?

Say, Jiang Yisheng's fake ghost

couldn't scare her, and he got beaten instead.

My stepmom is really a spirit within a human form.

She's been mean to me since childhood!

In the end, you scared her to this state!

It must have been a huge shock!

Are you really a ghost?

Act it out for me to see! How did you pretend to be a ghost?

I'm working.

Trimming the flowers isn't important! Act it out for me to see first!

Let me tell you. I'm a person who loves intensity.

I love ghost stories and horror movies!

I even love to play in haunted houses. The more terrifying it is, the more I will like it!

In any case, you have time. Just act it out for me!

We're such good friends, so you can't say no, right?

Did you act like this?

Wu Julan?

Stop! Stop!

Stop!

Please don't hurt me!

I'm just too hungry!

Child, don't be scared.

Father.

I will definitely find the spiritual pearl.

Indeed, it really was you that took my belongings.

Boss An!

I was just about to call you!

The hotel owner said you left your laptop there.

I wanted to see if it was yours, so I opened it.

I didn't think that you'd appear!

My phone and my laptop are linked together.

I can control my laptop whenever I want.

Before you lie next time, think clearly first.

I...

I love the look on your face when you don't know what you did wrong,

and you're fully under my control.

I trust that, the contents inside,

you've already looked at them all?

Perhaps, based on your little intelligence,

you already have many guesses in your heart.

That's right. My public identity is a researcher.

Actually, I have another hidden and ancient identity.

Black Wizard.

I can use sonar technology to control a bat.

I can also use drugs to instantly become stronger and bigger.

The important thing is that my capability

is much more than that of the laptop in your hand.

I've already told you my secret.

But... have you thought about it?

These dangerous secrets, the more you know,

the faster you'll die.

But don't worry.

Before you've become useless,

I won't do anything to you.

If you're smart, then work for me properly.

Work hard as a useful side character.

I've discovered something very strange.

I heard that Zhou Buwen has been

looking for nineteenth century silver antiques all over the island.

With a particular interest in silver tubes.

Could he be looking for the spiritual pearl, too?

I'm not sure yet.

But he is indeed working for An Zuo.

I once saw him in An Zuo's room.

How much does this Zhou Buwen know?

Could he also belong to the Black Wizard?

I tested him personally. He doesn't know anything.

You are very relaxed right now, very relaxed.

Your heart is calming down.

You can feel a level of comfort you've never felt before.

I want to take you to a new beautiful world.

Right now, I want to ask you a question.

Do you know someone named An Zuo?

I do.

What is your relationship with him?

He is my customer. He asked me to buy antiques for him.

Besides that?

Besides that...

Think carefully. Think slowly.

Besides helping him buy antiques, what else did you help him do?

I even helped him to buy bandages, gauze and blood-clotting medicine.

And?

And...

There's nothing else.

You're awake?

Where am I?

This is my house.

Are you okay?

When I was going home, I saw you passed out on the road.

So I helped you here to rest.

Thank you.

You probably had heat stroke. Would you like some water?

There's no need, no need.

Thank you.

I'll be going first. Thank you.

It's nothing.
