The incantations serve as an antidote to the powers of the Dark One.

must access the darkness that makes her so strong.

Which means you have to resist the power at the same time you use it.

[Bathory] My mother told me what I must do if she was seduced by the darkness.

No matter what future you've seen for me.

[sighs]
