Legend of Fei

Episode 40

What's going on?

He's not here. Let's go.

Who are these people?

How did you even lose him?

Isn't Master Qinghui seriously injured?

I'm sorry, Master. I'm really sorry!

Enough. -I'm sorry!

Master Yin, I know...

...Shanchuan Sword manual is only passed down to the successor.

Yin Pei has gone astray now. If I leave it here,...

...it'll lead to another bloodbath and innocent people will die.

So, I've decided to burn it.

I hope you...

...would understand the reason I'm doing this.

"Shanchuan Sword Manual"

It's you. -You want to worship him.

I'll take you there now.

Where is Ms. Wu? I'll send someone to fetch her.

It's all right, I'll go. I'll be back soon.

Chuchu!

Didn't Xie Meimei say he's out to buy food?

Why isn't he back yet?

This sound...

How do you know which fret I'm going to press?

It's guess. I think I was just lucky.

Your skills are different from Li Zheng.

My skills are naturally not as good as my grandfather.

He had very good skills.

He's good at using different skills to his own advantage.

He showed a form of profound and upright energy.

When I met him, his killing intent...

...wasn't as strong as yours.

Your cultivation is no better than his.

If he's still alive and had a duel with you,...

...he may not necessarily defeat you.

It's been a while since I last saw you.

You complimented me as soon as we meet,...

...how may I help you?

I've killed Lianshen.

"Master Huo Changfeng"

Get lost, everyone of you.

This play is only for him.

Get lost!

Poison in candle. Not bad.

Are you Lianshen of Disha?

I've heard so much about your skills in poison.

You're good at putting on an act, too.

I used Shendu Seal to create a huge buzz...

...because I was using it as a bait...

...to lure the mysterious Lianshen out.

You're indeed just as they say,...

...Master Vermilion.

In that case, I don't mind telling you...

...that I was the one who poisoned Old Master Huo.

It's a pity my Drowning Sorrow wasn't in full bloom at the time.

The poison wasn't at its best.

So, it didn't take his life right away.

However, it's enough to keep him senile and bedridden.

So, it was you!

Don't you want to know...

...what Old Master Huo said prior to being poisoned?

What kind of poison did you use? Why was it so strong?

Old Master Huo precisely said this.

Weren't you best friends?

I'll let you die from the same poison.

Consider it a favour from me.

Even if I die, I'll make sure you die along!

Here's a reminder. Don't ever use your internal energy...

...or you'll die even faster.

She didn't manage to take Shendu Seal from me.

Brat, do you want it?

Why are you giving it to me?

Qimen is already destroyed.

The Huo family has no heir.

Yin Wenlan's son goes astray...

....that he looks ridiculous.

It's just the Li family that has descendants.

My last name is Zhou, not Li.

Didn't you want to keep Old Master Huo's seal?

Why are you giving it to me all of a sudden?

You're injured.

To kill that cunning Lianshen,...

...there's a price to pay.

No matter what,...

...you have keep Shendu Seal from now on.

Do you need help?

You just need to keep this seal, that's all.

After being poisoned by her,...

...I know I can't be cured.

It's all right.

I've already avenged Master Huo's death.

I can now meet him without any regret.

On the snow mountain,...

...you said you had a special friend to save.

There's a rumour...

...that Phoenix Pill has resurfaced.

It might be able to help your friend.

What's Phoenix Pill?

It's said that if one consumes Phoenix Pill...

...and has someone with great internal energy...

...to break down the medicine's properties,...

...he will be revived and have his internal impurities cleansed.

If he eats it directly,...

...he'll lose his mind if not careful.

He'll even explode and die.

Master Chongxiaozi must have lost his mind...

...to have left Phoenix Pill behind.

If you say it can relieve cough, improve blood circulation...

...or even improve sexual performance, I might believe you.

However, you said it could revive a dead person.

That's ridiculous. It's obviously nonsense.

If it's not true,...

...why would Qimen keep mum...

...about it?

You have a point. The half-dead Yin Pei...

...must have relied on it to increase his power...

...and cause trouble everywhere.

Maybe...

...Phoenix Pill can really save Xie Yun.

This world is full of...

...clumsy and ugly people.

You're different.

You're beautiful and skilled in martial arts.

If I give you Shendu Seal,...

...Master Huo...

...would be relieved.

He'd think I did the right thing.

I've been behaving wilfully all my life...

...and disregarding my own reputation.

I left Huo Manor in a fit of anger.

Never did I know it'd cause Master Huo's death.

Master Huo spent half of his life...

...protecting the secrets of Ocean Sky.

We argued about this for two decades.

It's time to pay him with my life.

Madam, that was too risky.

If Triple Corpse Powder wasn't sprinkled on her face...

...and Mu Xiaoqiao saw through your trick of a replacement,...

...he'd surely look for you.

She's a fighter I'd trained for years who was willing to die.

Her work was neat. There wouldn't be a problem.

The mission assigned by the commander was to obtain Ocean Sky.

If I go back empty-handed,...

...it'll bring shame to Disha Sect.

However, four of Ocean Sky objects...

...are with 48 Strongholds.

Enough said, I must obtain all of them.

It's Li Jinrong's birthday next month.

Those little brats will surely return to celebrate it with her.

When the time comes, all items will be with Li Jinrong.

As long as I can sneak into the place, I'll have a chance...

...to get all of them.

Madam, your illness has been relapsing.

We can't take the risk to go there.

I managed to kill Li Zheng then.

What's Li Jinrong to me?

I heard the third prince has been travelling to gather treasure...

...and going to Li Jinrong's birthday celebration. Is it true?

Yes, Eunuch Chu wanted to gain merit by abducting the prince,...

...but he was saved by Zhou Fei.

From that moment onwards,...

...the prince is grateful towards Zhou Fei.

I think he's searching for extremely rare treasure...

...for Li Jinrong' birthday...

...as an excuse to form a relationship with 48 Strongholds.

I think we should lend...

...the prince a hand.

Water Grass.

Look what I've bought you.

A'Fei, what's wrong?

Look for Yin Pei with me.

Ms. Zhou and Mr. Xie, Master Li has a message for you.

He said Yin Pei abducted Ms. Wu. He's currently tracking him down.

Not Yin Pei again.

Master Li asked you to split up.

He'll go to Four Gods Mountain and contact you via secret service.

All right.

A'Fei, was this what you're trying to tell me?

"Yin Manor"

My family was destroyed, too.

My father was killed by Disha, too.

Everyone is after my longevity lock.

So, I understand how you feel.

Yin Manor is gone while 48 Strongholds is at its peak.

People are saying Shanchuan Sword...

...is less than Southern Saber. Nonsense!

We have our utmost respect to your father and Shanchuan Sword.

It's an unparalleled sword technique.

I'm just afraid that someone might use it to do bad things.

Shanchuan Sword belongs to my family. It's mine.

Moreover,...

...I never use it to hurt anyone.

It's the stronghold's whistling arrow.

Let's go. -Go.

Have you found out what's with the whistling arrow last night?

I found out it was released...

...near Yin Manor.

What is 48 Strongholds doing there?

"Yin Manor"

Everyone, split up. If you see Yin Pei,...

...don't try to confront him. Try to convince him.

Our priority is to find Chuchu's location.

If things go bad, meet up at the woods at the village entrance.

All right.

Who's there? -Chuchu, it's me.

A'Sheng?

A'Sheng.

Let's get out of here.

Chuchu, are you all right? -I'm all right.

I'll kill her if you take a step forward.

"Yin Manor"

Do you think everyone wants to harm you...

...and that everyone has wronged you?

I'll give you one more chance. Complete...

...Shanchuan Sword Manual for me.

A'Sheng.

"Shanchuan Sword Manual"

Do you get it, A'Pei?

You only need to remember that we learn martial arts...

...to protect the people we love.

I just thought of an idea but I don't know if it'll work.

He learnt martial arts from Master Yin when he was young.

He may know the moves but he doesn't know the sequence.

If I change the sequence,...

...he might not notice it.

We indeed think alike. I was thinking about the same thing.

Not 48 Strongholds again.

What are you doing here? This is the old Yin Manor.

Why are you here?

Master Qinghui?

You're looking for him, right?

Master Qinghui. Let's go!

Keep an eye on these useless guys!

"Shanchuan Sword Manual"

This manual...

...is a little different...

...from the manual you burnt.

It's the same. You'll know once you perform it.

You will do it instead.

Why did you ask him to do it when it's your family's martial arts?

"Yin Manor"

"It's him."

Over there! After them! They're in front!

Don't turn back. Hurry.

Stay down.

Where are father and mother?

Quiet.

Where's Master Qinghui? -We don't know what you mean.

Stop trying to fool me!

Didn't he lock you up here?

Stop!

I have the coveted Shanchuan Sword Manual.

Do you want to have it?

I want both the manual and scabbard!

Give it to me!

"Shanchuan Sword Manual"

It's useless with just that. I've memorised the cultivation method.

You can try to practise it. Think about it.

You must hand over the scabbard to me...

...or I'll kill all of you.

"Shanchuan Sword Manual"

The more I practise Shanchuan Sword,...

...the harder I can breathe.

Why is my breathing getting worse?

Tell me!

What exactly is the special method...

...of Shanchuan Sword?

I'll tell you if you let us go.

Who are you...

...to negotiate with me?

Tong Tianyang,...

...are you after this scabbard because of Ocean Sky?

We can work together. -Why should I?

I can give you the scabbard...

...in exchange of joining Disha to rebuild my Yin family.

Why would I let you join Disha?

I can offer you Phoenix Pill.

My skills have greatly increased...

...all because of Phoenix Pill.

Do you want to try it?

"Yin Wenlan's spiritual tablet"

Father, I've finally returned.

Don't worry,...

...I'll use our enemies' blood...

...as offering to you today.

Release me.

Let's fight fair and square.

Fair and square?

Yin Pei, I know you're eager to seek revenge,...

...but Disha's men are just nearby.

Tong Tianyang is now missing. If they come here,...

...we won't be able to escape unscathed amidst the chaos.

I see.

Then, please go to the woods entrance to keep watch for us.

Ms. Wu and I...

...will seek revenge.

Don't you want to avenge your family yourself?

I must take revenge.

I'll let you know if Disha is here.

Let me do it.

How good was the Yin family to you?

You mean my father? -Your father?

Exactly, I'm Yin Wenlan's son,...

...Yin Pei!

What are you laughing at?

I've heard rumours...

...that Master Qinghui of the Four Gods Mountain...

...is Yin Wenlan's descendant.

I thought it was one of his immediate family that went astray.

I never thought you're Yin Wenlan's son.

I guess you ended up in such a pathetic state...

...because of this so-called feud.

My father was an upright and merciful person all his life!

This is precisely the reason bad people like you had the advantage.

You're too naive! The Yin family's bloodline has ended.

You're not Yin Wenlan's son!

Nonsense!

Did Madam Ni Chang attack you at Liu Village?

So what if she did?

Madam Ni Chang of Yuyi Troupe is one of the top four spies.

They never provoked Four Gods Mountain.

Do you know why she wanted to kill you?

It's because she was the one who rescued you.

Of course she's upset since you turned out this way.

That's why she wanted to kill you herself.

She's not the only one who wants to kill me.

Do you have the courage to continue listening to me?

"This is indeed their family affairs,...

...but Chuchu will be in danger."

I had a friend, Letang.

He's very skilled. I wanted to recruit him to Disha,...

...but he's used to live freely and only interested in robbing.

He waited in ambush at the town entrance.

He specifically robbed passers-by...

...until Master Chang Huan of Zhongyuan Sect...

...travelled on the path Letang waited in ambush.

Do you know what Chang Huan liked the most?

He's famous for having a sick child.

His son barely lived when born.

He used all sorts of medicinal herbs to prolong his son's life.

So, the people called the boy Little Ginseng.

Just a bite of his son's flesh could cure most illness.

Master Yin, were you also very weak...

...when you're a child?

There are many children who are not healthy in this world!

What a coincidence. My friend wanted to abduct that kid.

So, he made preparation and annihilated Zhongyuan Sect easily.

Guess what? Two busybodies interfered at the time.

Do you know who they were?

They were Li Zheng and Madam Ni Chang.

They couldn't stand seeing my friend killing the innocent.

So they killed him. They took you and even talked...

...about handing you to Yin Wenlan...

...in front of my friend.

My friend's subordinate escaped and sought my help...

...to kill Li Zheng and Madam Ni Chang to avenge him.

However, Li Zheng hid in 48 Strongholds like a coward.

Hence, I failed to avenge my friend's death.

Kid, the Yin family's bloodline had long ended.

Yin Wenlan's body has already turned to ashes.

What's so good about being the Yin family's descendant?

You're lying! I'm not Little Ginseng!

I'm not an orphan! I was not picked up from the streets!

"Yin Wenlan's Tomb"

Take me to Madam Ni Chang.

This is bad.

What happened here? -Li Sheng,...

...we were waiting for you and Ms. Wu here.

Tong Tianyang tracked us from the whistling arrow.

We fought them for a long time. Both suffered equal casualties.

Tong Tianyang is dead but Yin Pei took Chuchu.

Head back first. I'll continue searching for her.

Brother Li!

I received news that Sister Zhou was looking for us.

Do you want her to come?

No, tell her to go to Hengyang City.

We'll meet there. -All right.

Wei Wu! -Master.

What happened?

I'm fine.

I was only hit by Master Qinghui once, that's all.

He doesn't have much internal energy left.

After I consumed Phoenix Pill,...

...my internal energy has increased tremendously.

Let's go to Hengyang City for the scabbard!

Nobody can stop me now! -Yes, Master.

A'Fei,...

...close your eyes. I have a surprise.

Open your eyes.

What's this? -A saber.

What?

Why..... -I promised to get you one.

Now I've finally fulfilled it. -Where did you get it?

No need to know. It's a durable saber anyway.

It probably can stop your habit of breaking your saber.

Light of Dawn?

Light of dawn is the dim light before daybreak.

I think of it as a hope that can break through darkness.

I hope you can see dawn in the future.

"Light of Dawn"

You are finally giving me a saber.

"Qiaoyun House"

Yuyi Troupe is still one of top four spies.

There are hidden talent in there.

I think you should let it go.

I'll prove it to you that it's a lie.

I'm...

...the son of the Yin family.

So, Yin Pei risked his life...

...to seek revenge over this?

We have no time to lose. Let's head to Madam Ni Chang's place.

During the ambush,...

...did you and Master Li rescue an infant?

How did you know?

Where is the infant? Did you give it to Master Yin?

Wenlan, why don't you take this child back with you?

He'll suffer here.

Look, he doesn't cry when you carry him.

Is this how you do it?

Sit, it'll be easier to carry him this way.

Look, he indeed doesn't cry when you're carrying him.

He stops crying. -Did Mr. Chang name him?

He was wearing this around his neck when we saved him.

There's a character carved on it. -Show it to me.

It's the character "Pei". -Pei'er.

However, he's born weak.

I'm afraid he won't be able to learn martial arts.

It's not a good idea to let him practise martial arts like us.

Why don't we let him study to be a government official?

Maybe he's able to save the people.

Madam,...

...you mean that child...

...was Yin Pei?

Yes.

Too bad he let us down.

It's fated.

He didn't grow into an outstanding man to save the people.

We went against fate.

Maybe we shouldn't have saved that dying infant.

It was my fault for saving him.

Out of the way!

Shanchuan Sword Manual...

...can only be passed down to Yin's descendant.

It's because the Yin family has a unique pulse,...

...which is different from normal people.

They breathe and move differently from others.

Only Yin's descendants...

...can use Shanchuan Sword to its full potential.

Liar. You're a liar.

Yin Pei, since I was the one...

...who brought you home back then,...

...I can let what happened today slide.

I'll also forget about the past, too!

"Pei"

Brat, Phoenix Pill is really good.

Do you still have it?

Give it to me!

Not you again. -We're really fated to meet.

You got away last time.

Let's see where you're going to run this time.

Tong Tianyang, I thought...

...you died at Yin Manor. I didn't know you survived.

It's all thanks to Master Qinghui's Phoenix Pill.

Where's the rest of the pills?

I gave him the last one.

That's right!

The last one is now in my stomach.

Why? You want it, too?

Tong Tianyang, you harass us again and again.

You killed my father and cause Madam Wang's death!

Don't you know you have to pay with you life?

I remember her now.

It's that incapable old hag from 48 Strongholds.

She thought she was skilled enough to be nosy.

Wait for me here.

Lord Shen.
