Legend of Fei

Episode 37

Ms. Zhou, what are you doing?

Are you lost again?

I'm getting Zhuming Grass for you.

Otherwise, how do I use Triple Decoction to save you?

Am I drunk?

You're roasting the fish the wrong way.

It's cooked in this side but not the other side.

How are you going to eat it?

It's fine either way.

If you can stay here while I'm drunk,...

...I'd rather be drunk.

After I recover,...

...I'll roast a delicious fish for you.

The first thing I'll do...

...when you wake up is to beat you up.

Why?

Eunuch Wang sacrificed his life...

...to tie you to the throne forever...

...and your master junior used his lifelong internal energy...

...to make sure you live, too.

Now...

...you're using the same way on me, too, right?

You're so clever.

What do I do now?

Xie Yun,...

...wait for me.

Master Chen, why do I feel...

...that the weather in Peng Lai is not as warm as before?

With Piercing Green,...

...you won't feel warm...

...even if there were nine suns in the sky.

You still talk the same.

Kid, watch what you're saying.

Look,...

...I have a gift...

...for Ms. Zhou.

You're still on point like always.

Speaking of Piercing Green,...

...I had a dream while I was unconscious.

I saw many people I knew,...

...including Lianshen who used Piercing Green.

You're mentioning her for the first time after so many years.

Do you hate her?

She's just a tool.

Who would waste time hating a tool when one was injured?

You mentioned her all of a sudden today.

What's troubling you?

I'm just curious.

Can she stay at Disha Manor...

...after Shen Tianshu failed to take over 48 Strongholds.

Strange. Why are there so many people from Disha?

Ever since Ocean Sky resurfaced,...

...Disha has been active.

I'm Qianzhong Sect's disciple in charge of the secret service here.

Greetings, Master Li.

Why are there many Disha members here?

They're heading to Cloud Ravine in Southern Xinjiang.

They look like they're after somebody.

Yang Jin, drink this. We must hurry back to the city.

Someone is here.

I'm afraid it's a thief.

He ran so fast. He must be a spy, not someone skilful.

I should go after him or he'll think I'm scared of him.

Our priority is to send Zhuming Grass back to Lingling.

All right, let's go.

Wait, forget the horses. The sound of horse galloping is too loud.

Lead the horses there. We'll walk instead.

You sound more and more like your cousin.

Isn't that a good thing?

We risked our lives to get Zhuming Grass.

We will have let Ying Hecong down if we lose it.

Hurry up. -All right.

Did we lose them? -They're after the horses.

They won't be back for now.

Someone is here.

Brother! What are you doing here?

Brother Li Sheng, you're finally here!

I can finally return her to you safely.

This journey was so tough.

You didn't know..... -I told you to return home.

Why did you mess with Disha?

You usually don't practise. You'll regret it one day.

Have Aunt and I told you this before?

You're lucky this time. Do you think you're always this lucky?

Do you think you'll be lucky forever?

Li Sheng, A'Yan has suffered a lot.

Don't scold her. -That's right.

Yes, she saved the people of Cloud Ravine.

She's not that useless.

You're that lucky?

Thank you, Master Yang. I know she caused a lot of trouble for you.

It's all right.

By the way, where's the herb you're locating for A'Fei?

Here.

This is very precious. We must send it to A'Fei soon.

What a coincidence.

All of you little fishes are here.

Chuchu, bring A'Yan with you and look for A'Fei.

We'll hold them up. -All right.

A'Yan, let's go.

Are you trying to run? -Don't chase them.

Master Shen is not after them. So, don't waste time.

Li Sheng,...

...I know Zhuming Grass is with you.

Hand it over.

Give it to me!

Pull it.

Get them!

A'Yan, I'm counting on you.

I only know how to strike a pose.

Why didn't you tell me earlier? -What should we do now?

Can we just convince them? -Just leave it to me.

Hold your breath.

Run!

A'Yan. -Sister Chuchu,...

...what's the medicine? -It's flour, not medicine.

Hurry!

Li Sheng, did you send that signal as you knew...

...I was on my way to Southern Xinjiang?

No, I didn't. I had no idea you'd reach this soon.

Where's Zhuming Grass?

Where are Li Yan and Chuchu? -They went ahead.

Chuchu, I can't run anymore.

Hold your breath.

It's real this time.

Are you going to throw flour at us again?

Do you think we'll fall for it again? Charge!

Run!

What did you use this time?

The sleeping drug given by your brother.

So,...

...you're Zhou Fei, Southern Saber's descendant...

...mentioned by Master Shen.

Lord Tong, long time no see.

You look pretty robust and healthy.

Why are you two chattering away?

It's not just fate that brings Lord Tong and I together.

We go way back.

He tried to take my bracelet when I was a kid at 48 Strongholds.

I blinded one of his eyes.

Lord Tong, since we're old acquaintances,...

...please turn a blind eye...

...if my cousin has offended you in any way.

I'll return the favour by blinding your other eye.

How dare you.

Chuchu and Li Yan may be in danger. Go to save them.

I'll hold him back. -No way.

I can't let it slide! I hold a grudge against him!

So, he's your cousin, too?

Go now. -Can you manage alone?

Disha is nothing, go now.

Lord Tong, Lord Lu tried to snatch Fire Lotus from me, too.

Now it's your turn to snatch Zhuming Grass from me.

Why do you even need these herbs?

Don't you think it's shameless?

Does Lord Shen want to set up a herbal store?

How arrogant!

He wants that rotten grass...

...so that he can exchange it for Shendu Seal!

Looks like you're not that stupid.

Too bad Shendu Seal is not with me.

No point killing me. Moreover, you can't.

You should give it a thought.

Lord, Master Shen received information...

...that Shendu Seal was with Master Vermilion.

Count yourself lucky today.

Leave! -You're lucky that...

...I have no time to kill you.

Since when is Li Yan so powerful?

Brother. Yang Jin, are you all right?

We're fine. A'Fei is dealing with it now.

How did you defeat so many members of Disha?

Not me, Chuchu did it.

Don't look at me that way. I have no martial arts skills.

It's thanks to A'Sheng's sleeping drug.

You're a bunch of fools!

So, Zhou Fei gave Master Vermilion...

...Shendu Seal? -Yes.

Who's there?

Lord, the ones ahead are from Xingnan Sect.

You're here just in time.

Young Master, in my opinion,...

...I think we should not get involved in such matters.

Why? Ms. Zhou saved our lives.

Are you saying my brother should be ungrateful?

Xingnan Sect is a small sect.

Offending Disha and Master Qinghui of Four Gods Mountain...

...might cause us trouble in the future.

It's all right, Uncle Lin. We'll just leave Lingling City.

Did I say you could leave?

Kill them!

Master, your body.....

I'm fine. Go to Liu Village. -Yes.

Ying'er!

Ying'er!

Last night, I heard...

...someone had a fight with Disha at the outskirts of the city.

I didn't know it's you guys.

Do you want revenge?

Then, you must be stronger and I can help you.

Eat it.

Wait.

Put this on after eating it.

When will your master arrive? -Please wait for a moment.

Mr. Li, sorry to keep you waiting.

Where is he? -I was busy at the front yard...

...that I didn't know he's ill. -He's ill?

How did he fall ill?

I think he caught a cold.

Since I'm here, I should see him. -You don't have to.

It's not that serious. You don't have to see him.

He said he'd visit you...

...once he recovered.

I think he's not really ill.

He's scared of Master Qinghui, right?

Our master is already old.

He wants to live in peace while he can.

So, I think you should leave...

...and get someone more capable.

Master Chen, I'm back!

Where is he? -He's inside.

Go and see him. He can't hold on much longer.

Here's Zhuming Grass.

Master Junior,...

...when did A'Fei say she'd arrive?

She's already here.

Long time no see.

No such thing, you're the one who didn't see me.

I see you every day...

...that I'm annoyed.

You're actually annoyed looking at someone as handsome as me.

What else do you want to look at?

A fairy?

Come on, let me take a look at you.

Did you fall into the sea?

You smell fishy.

It wasn't easy to come with such huge waves.

I'm lucky to be alive.

Master Junior told me that you're gathering herbs.

You must have encountered a lot of trouble.

It's just a bunch of Disha's lapdogs.

It's easy to defeat them.

I don't need to use much force.

You're getting better at bragging...

...after not meeting for a while.

Oh, yes.

I made a gift for you...

...while you're away.

Try it on.

A'Fei,...

...I missed you so much.

I had a long dream...

...before waking up.

I saw you suffering a lot. -I did not.

Let me finish.

I'm running out of time.

I knew you'd say that.

You'd say...

...this was what you'd experience.

However, I'm scared that you'll be in danger.

I'm not even by your side...

...when you're in danger.

A'Fei,...

...you must protect yourself...

...when you're going all out.

When I woke up a few days ago,...

...I drew and wrote...

...when I missed you.

Remember to look at it...

...later.

Xie Yun,...

...are you asleep?

"Previously, I hope he wouldn't sleep...

...as I was scared he wouldn't wake up...

...once he's asleep.

It feels different...

...this time."

The herbs you've gathered recently...

...have been really helpful for his recovery.

You're really not that simple.

Zhuming Grass alone isn't a common herb.

I'm flattered. You thought I was useless then.

I was clouded by my judgement.

What will happen after he takes Triple Decoction?

What do we do?

Others either go uphill...

...or downhill.

Some remain at the same place.

Everyone has ups and downs and eventually settles down.

However, you're different.

The route you're taking is not a slope. It's a cliff.

There's no stepping stone in between.

You're risking your life every time you take a leap.

When you hold on to a rock on the cliff,...

...you have to climb up with all your might.

If you fall,...

...you'll be fall to your death.

You're putting yourself in danger so that you'll fight to live.

Tell me. Have you ever been afraid?

Of course. -What do you do then?

Fear?

Fear is common in human.

Every time I'm in danger,...

...it feels I'm stuck between rocks.

In order not to get stuck at the same place,...

...I can only push myself forward. Being afraid won't help.

Therefore,...

...I pretend I'm already at the top...

...or on the highest stepping stone...

...until I'm completely convinced.

It won't be that difficult after that.

I understand now, thank you.

No need to thank me.

I am only telling you to lie to yourself...

...so that you'll feel better, that's all.

Go.

Were these what you'd been writing and drawing?

Looks like you'd waited for a long time.

"I had a long dream."

"I had.....

...a long dream,...

In the dream,...

...I saw flowers...

...as beautiful as you.

It felt like seeing you in person,...

...which made me...

...happy beyond words."

Optimistic Scholar.

I think these characters are the only words you can read.

You're really optimistic.

Look at you.

You must be acting heroic and helping people now.

You don't even visit me.

Let me make another gift for you.

What are you doing?

You're venting your anger on this stick because you fail?

Did I look like this back then?

I'm surprised that you still remember.

It's when Water Grass was young.

Water Grass? You're Turtle Spirit then.

Just you wait.

Luckily I'll be unconscious then...

...because I won't be able to beat you.

The mighty Water Grass...

...goes down the cave alone...

...to fight hundreds...

...of Disha's scoundrels.

What do you think? Right on point, right?

Optimistic Scholar is really optimistic.

Looks like he'll live long.

I've finally realised...

...that life is short.

"Make a guess."

I think I'll look good in this red dress.

The immortal in this portrait is.....

Make a guess. -Make a guess?

The portrait is Make a Guess? -You guessed it wrong.

The woman in this portrait is my wife.

"You guessed it wrong. It's not you. It's my wife."

"A'Fei, there are many creatures on the coast of Eastern Sea.

They are the same as you.

Dip it in seasoning with some ginger. Very delicious.

You can get familiar with it.

The brush and ink are ready on the desk.

Please have pity on me.

A long letter would be better although a short one is good, too.

I hope you'll reply to relieve me of my pain...

...of missing you.

One more thing,...

...the brush and ink are for books and papers only.

They are not for other purposes."

I didn't know what to write at first.

Thanks for your inspiration.

You're the one who asked for it.

"King"

"He needs a beating."

"It's hot like a stove here,...

...but your hand is cold as ice."

I won't give up as long as there's hope.

I made you a little gift.

A'Fei,...

...I missed you so much.

girl.

Why is Master Tongming not back yet?

It's not easy to pick herbs.

I'm just worried that he can't hold on much longer.

Don't worry, Xie Yun won't die for now.

This is for you.

What is it?

This looks...

...like Yin Pei's Muyun Muslin.

Muyun Muslin is nothing.

This isn't anything special either.

I made it using the leftover from the fish net I was making.

Others won't be able to wear this.

It's precisely your size.

Girl, what do you think...

...if I name it Rosy Cloud?

Why are you smiling?

I'm smiling because it's a really nice name.

How did you come up with such a refined name?

Give it back to me if you don't want it.

Of course I want it!

Little girl. -Thanks!

I'm really sorry that our master isn't home these days.

Where did he go?

We're not sure either.

The birthday of Master Liu's mother is around the corner.

Did he invite you? -Yes, but I'm not going.

It's a great honour to be invited.

You're saying that because you're clueless. My friend works there.

He told me Master Qinghui went to Master Liu,...

...asking for money.

Master Liu doesn't take Master Qinghui seriously.

If Master Qinghui shows up that day,...

...I'll be in trouble. -You're right about that.

"Master Liu" -Brother Liu,...

...I've asked martial artists around me.

No one is willing...

...to join us to fight against Master Qinghui.

With just a few of us, I'm worried we're no match for him.

Since we've decided to do this,...

...we must do it even if we're outnumbered.

Look at the current martial arts world.

Huo Manor is gone. Master Yin Wenlan is dead.

Qimen Sect vanished.

Even 48 Strongholds is busy dealing with Disha Sect.

If we don't unite now,...

...we can't defeat Master Qinghui!

There are many who hold a grudge against this devil.

As long as we're united, we can definitely kill him.

Well-said!

Master, a Mr. Li request to see you.

He said he's Li Sheng from 48 Strongholds.

Is he Li Zheng's grandson?

I'm Li Sheng of 48 Strongholds.

Greetings, Master Liu and other gentlemen.

What brings you here?

I'm here...

...because of Master Qinghui.

Master Qinghui?

I'm sure you know what he has done.

The longer he lives, the longer the people will suffer.

I wish to join forces with everyone here...

...to defeat him.

Mr. Li, do you have any suggestion?

I do have a way.

Honestly, we have the intention to get rid of the enemy.

However, we're worried...

...that we don't have enough men.

I've been working on it, too.

It may be many,...

...but there are skilled martial artists willing to lend a hand.

If we can join forces,...

...we will stand a higher chance.

I would like to set up a trap in a few days.

As for the location, I find...

...your courtyard a suitable place.

As long as we can kill him, this is no big deal.

Good!

Didn't A'Fei come?

She arrived yesterday and was wandering around this morning.

I don't know where she is now.

I thought she wouldn't stay...

...and I would miss her while I was out gathering herbs.

She probably knows...

...that Xie Yun is getting worse day after day.

His days are numbered.

So, she's staying longer this time.

I've put the thing she brought on your bedside.

It's Zhuming Grass.

She must have suffered a lot...

...to gather all these herbs.

It is your lucky day. I'm going to release you...

...to accumulate blessing for Xie Yun!

He's about to wake up now.

How long has he been unconscious? -It's about time now.

All right then.

Anzhi, you're awake? -Master Junior.

Be careful.

Get up slowly.

Anzhi, I knew you're about to wake up.

Master. -Drink this medicine.

How long have I been unconscious this time?

Not too long.

Where's A'Fei?

Both of you are a great match. No wonder you get along.

You woke up shortly after she fell asleep next door.

Drink it. -Drink while it's still hot.
